Location was good

Not once did they clean the room or even replenish linens in 3 nights stay. Breakfast was good if you could find a seat.

The staff greeting when I arrived was wonderful, my room was top-notch in every way, and the breakfast was exceptional, fresh, with way more choices than I could possibly sample. The breakfast room attendant both mornings was exceptional.

I always try to think of something to put in this box, but there really was nothing to dislike.

A very nice stop after a long day of travel. Convenient location. Comfortable and the breakfast was good.

We arrived and my wife was sick. We were able to quickly get checked in and get her in the room to rest. I asked if there was a room available for another night when i arrived because i was concerned about my wife. The staff was very helpful and held a room for me since there were only a few left. A few hours later we made the decision to stay another night to allow my wife to rest before continuing on with our vacation. I went to the front desk and they were able to quickly help me. I really appreciate their assistance so that my wife could rest and get better so we could continue our trip.

I can't think of anything that I didn't like.

Room size and cleanliness

The TV channels suck

Convenient location, friendly staff, fairly clean overall, pretty good assortment of options for breakfast.

The bed was not very comfortable, the TV had terrible cable options, which consisted of American news and sports, and it was not a smart TV. We could not connect our own devices or use streaming services. There was no Splenda or artificial sweetener available for the coffee and tea. Many, many people can't use sugar due to health conditions, but still like to drink coffee or tea. Myself and my husband included.

Breakfast was excellent. Room was great, spacious, comfortable and relaxing. Really liked the idea of the restaurant/pub attached to the hotel so did not have to go outside to get something to eat.

Restaurant menu was limited and tended to Pub food, and was OK. Breakfast closing at 9:00AM was early for those who did not have to work, but understandable when it opened at 5:00AM.

Great quick impromptu stop! Super clean, great staff, safe quote and the continental breakfast is the best I’ve had! That’s high praise being all the way at from Texas!!

Fridge didn’t work

Pros: it was available, plenty of hot water and good pressure in the shower. Staff was friendly and helpful when we had issues with the hot tub (since maintenance had gone home for the day). Cons: side emergency exit was locked from the inside at night (thankfully we were on the first floor in case there’d been an emergency), fireplace was not working, only basic tv channels - no cable, slow WiFi. Outdated property that has definitely seen better days. Summary: if you’re just looking for a bed and shower, get the standard room. If you’re looking for better quality, try somewhere else - maybe the Best Western.

Helpful staff for our late check in after an incredibly long drive. Comfortable beds and all standard in-room amenities (coffee maker, fridge, microwave, shampoos, lotions). Laundry facilities open 24 hours. Simple, but comprehensive breakfast. Something for all my picky/allergic family members.

I can't think of anything. We will absolutely stay again next time we're in town. Excellent value!!

Property needing upgrade

I spent one night and this above average budget hotel, right on the Alaskan Highway. It was clean, it was convenient. It has a restaurant attached to the hotel. There’s a grocery store across the street. What more can you ask for on a motorcycle trip? The complementary breakfast was average. You don’t eat it because you like it, you eat it because it’s convenient or you’re just really cheap. I usually skip it, but I wanted to hit the road early today. I’m sure there are nicer hotels in Dawson Creek, but if all you’re gonna do is just sleep, I spend the extra money.

Amazing and comfortable place

Staff don’t seem to care too much, like when we checked out the lady only said “okay”, no asking how our stay was or thank you for staying with us. Just a very cold send off. When we arrived to the hotel after hours it was locked so we had to ring a doorbell to get let in. Must’ve rang it 5 times before someone finally came, apologizing over and over. We were on the main floor and it was quite noisy in the morning plus I heard footsteps above us. On the positive side the beds were comfortable and the room was modern and nice.

Great location and service. The Food at Solas Bar and grill (connected to the restaurant) was one of the best culinary experiences I've had. Very central location and close to site attractions. Travelled here for a business trip, but looking to book a family trip here as well. Highly recommended!

Front desk staff was friendly and helpful, the beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean.

We were just starting to eat breakfast when an attendant came in and packed up all the food and turned off the tv that we were watching. She never said a word to us just noisily cleaned up and took everything. We didn’t get to finish, we wanted a cup of coffee never got to have one. It was a very disappointing end of our stay and spoiled our stay.

They only had 6 tables for breakfast whick was crazy since there was always ppl waiting to sit down.

Need to fix the plugs outside as I found a few broken or not working. Had to park by the broken ones and hope truck would start in the morning as the working plugs were all being used. When it’s -40 that’s not good.

I like the price

but the shitty attitude from day time staff was disgusting and prejudice to say the least. I hated asking to extend and got a dirty looks for morning breakfast and zero accommodation for an extended stay. If I could share that woman's face whenever she seen me I would. It was horrifying and she should be fired.

I needed a bed, they had a bed. Was meant to be.

You could certainly see the many upgrades made at this property. I was confident in the cleanliness after a quick inspection upon arrival. Overall, although I did experience some noise from a neighboring room which could happen at any hotel at any time, it was a pleasant stay and clean comfortable surroundings.

Checking in was easy and friendly, even though we were checking in early. Later, when I was suffering from heart burn and acid reflux, the young man at the counter was very helpful In trying to help me. We checked the available health aids and he even got me some yogurt. He went a long way to ensure my comfort. I really appreciated his help.

Staff was so friendly and helpful. If they didn't have an immediate solution to a problem, they found one rather quickly.

As with almost every hotel, soundproofing was not good.

The side to the highway was noisy. Had an exam to write in the morning and ended up showing up with a lack of sleep and a headache
