the staff of this hotel is the friendliest staff we have encountered while in Vietnam, they really make you feel at home. Location is amazing, you can literally walk around everywhere in Hanoi. Would def. come back here if in Hanoi. Congrats again for the staff, especially the girl (don't remember her name) from Da Nang
Great location in old town, nice staff and very helpful. Place is more outdated than the photos but that is very normal for Vietnam so I would definitely recommend this place as it matched up pretty well!
The next door building is doing construction all through the night so that was hit or miss with noise but it wasn’t too bad
Staff were lovely, room very nice
Construction sites next door, jackhammers going from 6am to 6pm, so close our wall in our room was vibrating and shaking
The younger staff were really trying to help. The location is good. The rooms have a neat feel to them. Price is good
Elevator goes to 6 floor, then it’s a spiral stair case. Elevator broke twice, lost water for 4 hours, bedding was damp, had to plug under the door with incense burning on the 8th floor
Good staff and was clean
Overbooked the first night . Placed me a lower hotel category for first night.
The worst hotel i have ever been too in my entire life, they overbooked or something and sent me too another hotel that was absolutely atrocious too, no window and noway out incase of a fire in this run down dump, i did not stay for even 1 night, book here at your peril, i stayed in a lot of nicer places in Vietnam, this was definitely not one of them
This is a nice hotel in the heart of Hanoi. It is in reasonable walking distance to Train Street . There are plenty of food and shopping options in walking distance and tour buses pick up nearby. Thouroughly recommended.
Personnel charmant et de bon conseil
Central position in Old Quarter. Very friendly and attentive staff. Clean comfortable rooms and very efficient taxi pick up and drop off at airport.
Visited with my son in July. Pick up from airport very good, staff all friendly and attentive, upgraded our room, hotel perfectly positioned in Old Quarter to explore the city. Would strongly recommend
The hotel is in great location, in the old quarter of Hanoi. But the best is the hotel staff, from the concierge, front desk. Restaurant and cleaning staff, they are all professional and always greet you with a smile, and speak good English, I stayed in a double room with a terrace, the room was excellent and the terrace was brilliant, it was well decorated and spotlessly clean, the bathroom area came with usual kit, with a great shower. The breakfast catered for all, the coffee is a must. A great selection. They offer tours which are great and at market value, I really do recommend this hotel without exception. Why some site rate this hotel as 3 star I just don't why, this is definitely a 4* plus. I will definitely come back here soon.
施設に欠陥がありましたが、それを伝えると直ぐに直してくれました。 スタッフの皆さん、温かくてフレンドリーで楽しい滞在ができました。 この場を借りてありがとうと言いたいです。
The staff were very lovely and the room was very clean and comfortable 😊 really enjoyed my stay here 😊 great location too 👍
beds were comfy, rooms were clean, staff were friendly and location was perfect. the breakfast was good with option of self serve and a small breakfast meal from a menu served.
The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The room had a large, comfortable King bed, good air conditioning, WiFi and even a fridge in the room. This hotel had everything I needed and for the price, you can’t beat it.
The hotel staff was next level. Spacious and comfortable room, very clean. Just on the fringe of the Old Quarters, so less noise and craziness but still very close to everything.

Staying at this hotel was the perfect start of our trip in Vietnam. The staff was super friendly, helped us with a lot of practical stuff and arrangements on our first night in Vietnam. They helped us out (with a big smile) with everything we first thought we had to go into the city. They booked transportation, fixed a local sim card for us and much more. Besides the great staff, the room was great! Clean, spatious, everything we needed for a first good night of sleep after traveling. Big big thanks to Lilly and her team, we would for sure reccomend this hotel and we’ll be back in the future!
HANOI SUNSHINE HOTEL, UNDER THE DARKNESS OF STAFFS DECEPTIONS TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, This is my first time travelling to Hanoi, Vietnam. The flight from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Hanoi, Vietnam, was fantastic. Just to let you know, I did stay at Hanoi Sunshine Hotel. This hotel is situated in the Hoàn Kiếm District in a region called Hàng Gai. The address of this hotel is:- Hanoi Sunshine Hotel, 18 P. Hàng Hòm, Hàng Gai, Hoàn Kiếm, Hanoi, Vietnam. The hotel is cheap and plentiful. However, the staff and concierge have poor behaviour and are liars. When I arrived, they asked the taxi pick-me-up to go to a different gate. The concierge never informed me about the changes. I had to call the hotel and frantically search for the pick-me-up driver. Ultimately, I needed to make a commotion so someone could hear me. They offered me Room 704 on the 7th floor, with no access by the hotel's elevator that only reached the 6th floor. Initially, I declined to stay on the seventh floor because it was inaccessible by the hotel's lift, and I had to drag my bags one flight of stairs with my injured knees. The concierge tourist staff did try to impress me by taking my bags and showing the Room 704. I saw that the room was nice, big, and decided to take the room instead. However, I did ask for a single King or Queen size bed in my comments to them. Instead, they had placed two single beds together to make them look like a King or Queen size bed. By the way, I didn't realise that until I slept on the bed. I didn't want to complain anymore because I thought that since everyone realised Before the 2.5 years pandemic, I did not want to emphasise a minor issue. Everything was fantastic from Friday, July 1st to Tuesday, July 5th. Then, suddenly on Tuesday, July 6th, the 5G internet on the 7th floor became inaccessible. The only internet access was the 2.4G internet. This was slow, and when many guests were accessing the internet. Moreover, if a guest or individual in the hotel is doing conferencing, having an online discussion, or online assignment, a 2.4G internet will diminish all possibilities; sometimes, the screen and even audio will just die out in the process. I had repeatedly told the hotel staff about the need for 5G internet, and they nonchalantly heeded my demands. As I had a Chinese HSK 3-1 examination online on July 6th, my HP laptop was not working because online conferencing requires 5G internet. So, throughout the exam, I had to hold close the phone to my ear to hear the questions (for the listening part). For the most part, I had to switch to my active mobile internet, roaming from Malaysia. It was a surreal experience, and I was glad my teacher (the examiner) was understanding. That partially resolved the crisis. Beforecomplain the exam (that I had done in the hotel room), I stressed the importance to the hotel staff about the 5G internet availability. But they didn't care or defiantly refused to heed my instructions. Until I left, they were ignorant about my problems, and I kept insisting on the 5G internet availability. Every time they just obliged to fix it but never did. They refused, perhaps because the concierge tourist staff didn't get me to take up some of her tour packages. Then, that begs the question? Why are they insistent on this trouble? Did they try to make me comfortable so that they wanted to coax me to take tourism packages? They didn't even know my purpose in Hanoi. First, to ensure I pass my exam with flying colours, and second, to look-see Hanoi for my taste. And that's another bad thing they kept harassing about me going to good restaurants at a 5-Star hotel. I kept telling them my stomach was not healthy enough for raw street Vietnamese food cooked by the roadside. Of course, they couldn't understand a foreigner's concern for healthy cooked food. On the last day, before the checked-out time at noon, the concierge lady called me to tell me that she had booked a taxi to the airport. After I made the payment, the taxi scheduled to pick me up wasn't there, another deception. They (simply) pointed to another taxi for another guest going to another place. While waiting for them to call for another taxi, I became frustrated with their deceptions and mentioned that I would provide the Hanoi Sunshine Hotel with a lousy review. That infuriated the concierge hotel staff, who insisted the hotel would refund me for the trouble. I refused because my credit card was charged.☹️☹️☹️,
Very friendly staff and excellent hotel. Located in the Old Quarter with good breakfast and highly recommended.Nice rooms and a safe box for safety with options for complimentary breakfast.Overall a nice hotel.
Very clean and comfortable.. excellent location.. staff are extremely friendly and helpful... would definitely return to chic hotel Hanoi.. a special shout out to Sophia... She's fantastic and will go out of her way to make you feel very welcome and her local knowledge was extremely valuable..
Paid extra for the balcony rooms but that is a bad idea! There was construction going on till the wee hours of the night (all the way till 3am :(). Had a really terrible night sleep. Informed the staff and requested for a room change. The swap to another room was great. Very quiet room, mostly just noise from your neighbours as they come back to their rooms. Pros: - Rooms are spacious and clean for a budget price! - Aircon is cold - Friendly staff - Breakfast (there are ala carte orders inclusive) was not bad - Location was good, many shops nearby the area Cons: - My door knob was a bit faulty - Bedroom slippers were plasticky and not comfortable - Not carpeted
We stayed there for almost a week and it was a very pleasant one thanks to the helpful and absolutely friendly staff (especially one of the female receptionists who was really attentive since the day we checked in!). The beds were really comfortable and loved the shower as well. Breakfast served was alright too. The location is prefect as well all since there are lots of shops and restaurants around. Definitely would come back again if there is a chance!
Chose this hotel to stay in while visiting Hanoi. Was a great choice, great location. Walkable distance to many sights. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were amazing. Would stay again when coming to Hanoi.
Booked 2 nights but added a 3rd. The hotel was busy but they did their best to help & accommodate 6 of us. Booked sleeper coaches, bought SIM cards through the hotel who were very helpful to us. We are going back for our last night in Vietnam before flying back to the UK
My sister, I and three other friends stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. We booked the superior room which had two queen beds and had more than enough space for our luggage. They had a good breakfast selection (a mix of western and asian food, several fruits, pancakes and breads, and you can ask to have your eggs cooked anyway you like). The staff service was excellent! In fact, I cant praise the hotel staff enough, especially at the front desk (both morning and night shift), who were were very friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make sure that we had everything that we needed. Also, when we were already at airport and about to leave for cambodia, my sister and I realized that our bags were still at the hotel 😬 After getting in touch with them, they kindly sent our bags to the airport so we wouldnt lose time going back to the hotel. Our bags arrived in time for us to check in for our flight. Kudos again to the staff! Keep up the great work! Oh and the front desk staff also gave great recommendation for our halong bay tour so would also recommend booking thru them instead of using other apps.
Great location, helpful friendly staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel the staff were very helpful with local information....walking distance to most tourist attractions. Room comfortable and clean and quiet this hotel has a lift
The staff here could not have been more helpful and were determined to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The hotel, as most reviewers mention, is in a perfect location easy walking distance from all of the sights. It is in The Old Quarter but down a street that is quiet so that the late night exuberance of the neighborhood and the stream of traffic are only a very distant murmur. Surrounded, too, by excellent restaurants and enough variety in the shops to delight all. My only advice would be try to avoid the rooms that have no window: these are certainly large and comfortable but can be a little claustrophobic for those who light natural light.
We loved staying in this hotel ♥️ First of all staff is so welcoming and always ready to help. Whatever it is you have to ask them, they will try to do their best to accommodate all of your requests! Special thanks to Jenny and Sophie, receptionists for their help in arranging additional trips and transfers and making our stay flawless! Make sure you follow their suggestions about places to eat and see. Pho 10 is definitely worth visiting! Banana pancakes at breakfast are a must try! The girl (sorry I don’t know her name) who serves breakfasts is also very friendly and helpful. Location is great. The hotel is located in the old quarter of the city allowing you to explore all the iconic sightseeing attractions by feet.
We chose this hotel for the location which is terrific smack bang in the centre of the Old City. Our room was very comfortable and loved having a small balcony nice to be able to stand outside and watch the world go by. Bathroom was small but perfectly functional. We were on the 5th floor but they have a elevator. Breakfast for good order off a menu or buffet included in the price, just a minor point should find a way to keep coffee hotter, but lets face it if you cant find hot coffee in Hanoi you not looking, also had some noisy neighbours so a bit more sound proofing might not go astray. Staff were wonderful very helpful and kind. I would stay here again.
Staff excellent, very clean. Service was great . Would recommend you this place to stay. The facilities were to our satisfaction and the breakfast options available were more than adequate. Location was also central for exploring Hanoi and The Old Quarter. Would stay again.
Hanoi chic hotel Thank you very much for answering all my queries, For booking our halong bay cruise and for fetching us in the aiport i'll be back again nextime with my friends🍽😊🍽 #shoutout to all the staff's for always smiling and for rendering us your good service Continue to SMILE and see you all again 😊
We received a warm welcome at Hanoi Chic Hotel even though it was public holiday when we arrived. The staff were very helpful at all times.and able to communicate well in English. The room is clean. The location is ideal. The daily breakfast was good. We enjoyed our stay in Hanoi.
The staff was amazing. We were received with a huge smile every single time we entered or left the hotel. They also prepared us super delicious sandwiches as breakfast when we needed to leave early for our flight. It's really good value for money, and centrally located to explore the Old Quarter. We had a very spacious room with a balcony on the fifth floor and thought the design was super nice. The bed was comfortable too. Breakfast was OK, but the coffee wasn't great. Given that Vietnam has amazing coffee and there are tons of amazing coffee shops around, we expected better quality. Other than that everything was really great.
Very nice place to enjoy Hanoi. In the middle of the old quarter, where you can easily walk to most of the sightseeing you have to do in hanoi. Very nice, big and clean rooms and very friendly stuff which will help you in all situations. 5 of 5 stars.
I was traveling on my own but felt like home once I arrived. The staff was extremely attentive especially Anna. Breakfast was good, walking distance to everywhere. Thank you for a great experience. Highly recommend this hotel.
