Thalassa Sousse Resort & Aquapark

⚠️DO NOT⚠️ waste your money going here we visited the water park yesterday and the majority of slides were not open. We had our son with us who was starving and thirsty as there was no snack bars open and we had nothing with us as expected ted to eat there it was really dirty the toilets had human excrements on the seat and all over the walls worst place we have ever visited in Sousse

Perfect escape for family and kids loved it loved loved it even though i think the food should be worked on a bit there was only pizza and sandwiches and was too expensive and not good but the vibe was amazing

Had 10 days here with family, had a nice time, lovely clean bungalow. Was worried about poor reviews but was better than we thought, meal times were not great really, food was nice if you could get any, big queues for breakfast pastries, omelettes or pancakes then there's no limit to piling up your plate, making everyone wait even longer, the problem I thought is that there is not enough staff anywhere, bar staff were all lovely, especially Jazzir, but he was fired for being too friendly with us, which is a massive shame. Nico and Pikacho were really funny, made our holiday fun, but Pikacho left for another hotel too, another shame. We were only a few of the only British people here, maybe it's a cultural thing but found the Arab ladies very rude and looked down there noses at you a lot. But overall it's a lovely hotel, cant see why people are saying it's dirty? We found it lovely, pools are lovely and clean, apart from only having 1 step ladder to get out of the biggest pool I've ever seen. At the end of the day, if you want chicken nuggets and chips then stay at home. We all had a great time, Sheffey in the hotel pool shop was also really kind and lovely. Don't always listen to people moaning about silly things. The pool, the heat, the sea, the staff. Made our holiday amazing

Des espaces aquatique super mais un hôtel qui nécessite une bonne rénovation. Manque de diversité au buffet

Italian restaurant has no pizza Old carpets full of nasty bugs and hotel is a death trap with uneven surfaces everywhere. No alcohol served.

I have been to Tunisia several Times, I know the standards of this country, it's always lower than in Europe, but this hotel is absolutely horrible even by Tunisian standards. Even local people think about this hotel in a bad way. The hygiene standard is totaly inadequate. We spent 1 day in this hotel and ran away to another hotel. We were afraid of infection - from food, dishes, shower, everything. Everything is dirty, even chairs in reception, we were afraid to touch anything. There were 95% of local people. During the meal there weren't enough plates, glasses or cutlery, and of course not enough food at all. It always was like a fight for a food. The pool was White, not normal water, we didn't even go there. On the receptipn they scam us about taxes. We paied about 15 dollars more than we should have, and when we asked about that they laughed at us! Absolutely horrible behavior. And of course there were ants in the room and mold in the bathtub. If you want to save your nerves and wallet, don't go to this hotel otherwise you will be dissapointed.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The photo's online are old and extremely misleading. We arrived and waited over 3hrs in a non air conditioned reception area for our room. The temperature was over 40 degrees. Our room was filthy with outdated furniture. Broken patio door, sheets and cushions covered in old blood and dirt stains. The bathroom was disgusting covered in mould, rust, broken tiles, new grout covering old grout and new paint over the top of old paint. Indoor pool closed, gym closed, tennis courts and mini golf unusable due to state of disrepair. Disco closed. We didn't see the outdoor pool or pool area being cleaned once in the 11 days we were there. The sunloungers were filthy with old food and drink stains all over them and the parasol had been stuffed with cigarette butt's. My partner has disability issues and so therefore was unable to use the pool because it only had one set of pullup steps which were to dangerous to use as were completely rusted away from the edge of the pool. The only way to cool down in temperature's of over 40degrees. Children were getting cut every day as the outside pool edge was really sharp. Aquapark is not stated anywhere that it is open to the public mostly groups of rowdy locals and taking over and often causing fights. We witnessed a violent fight a lad was being beaten by a group of lads he had blood pouring from his head and then collapsed. Women we're crying ,children we're scared and screaming. We were told by staff this happens quite alot but not this bad. Food restaurant is chaos too many people, long queues, dirty plates, birds flying around and leaving droppings all over the chairs, water machine broken. If you can get any food after a certain nationality have piled high there plates and then leave most of it on the table when they leave. They are so greedy, ignorant and pushy, and use there kids to get in front of the queue. Then before they leave they fill there tuperware boxes with all the cakes . Didn't cater for English kids ie fishfinger, chips, nuggets, baked beans ice cream. Entertainment = Zero. One crap show and one crap karaoke night, the staff done most of the singing. One good thing I think the kids club was good ,and the kids mini disco . Apart from that absolutely nothing nothing nothing avoid avoid avoid. The building was in a general state of disrepair, one corridor had a large electric box open where young children could easily get electrocuted.

Not recommended dirty rooms food is not good dirty dining restaurant

Don't go to this hotel. I took my partner my teenage daughter and her boyfriend. I can honestly say this is the worse all inclusive experience I have.ever had. We got to the hotel and soon realised there was only one other English speaking family there. The other quests looked down on us in discuss which made us all feel very uncomfortable. The staff couldn't speak English very well and where not helpful if you needed something. A couple of the barmen where constantly drunk ,on one occasion the barman was so drunk he could not even get the drink in the glass very unprofessional he was dripping with sweat and you could see it dripping into people's drinks. There uniforms were dirty and faded and one barmen did not change his shirt the whole time we were there, bearing in mind it was 36 to 40 degrees. The buffet restaurant did not cater for fussy eaters ,there were no plain foods like chips or nuggets there where small birds in the ceilings and chairs in the restaurant where covered in bird poop.the breakfast, lunch and dinner times where very strict and there where no snack bars in between this causing people to be very greedy taken plastic lunch box's and filling them up. The only snacks provided for the all inclusive where donuts served at 4pm. The queue was at least a 40 min wait as no one was limiting the amount u could have. The food was the same thing every day. The aqua park which you where led to believe wasnpartnof the hotel was actually open to the public. They has a snack bar serving chips but you had to pay extra . The security was non existent. On regular occasions, gangs of Algerian boys would enter via the waterpark to rey to steel what they could from quests. We actually witnessed this . The barmen ,who were just boys themselves where beating these guys with sticks one man had his head cracked open. There where women and children crying .it was very upsetting for everyone. There was no air conditioning in anyof the main areas working. The rooms were dated and dirty mould and rust around the bath area. Dead flys stuck to the walls. The light fittings where hangingnoff the walls ,intact all the wiring was very dodgy. Cupboards in main hall ways with wiring in them open and a child could easily touch them. I advised the hotel that I had mobility issues and no one at any point told me that there were no ladders or steps in any of the pools. So I could not get in or out. This ruined my holiday as it was so hot and the pool was the only way to keep cool. The grate and surface around the pool was very Sharpe and children especially where cutting themselves everyday. There was no evening entertainment, so literally nothing to do after dinner unless u had kids in the mini disco whomputnon there little show each nite. It really was horrible. It was the only holiday we could afford this year and I feel completely scammed and let down. It needs to be.closed down for a serious refurbishment. And please take it off the books . No the place for English tourists especially.

Avoid this Hotel, rooms are discusting & very very basic, animation team & a few of the bar staff are good guys, they are the only thing good about this hotel, we stayed a week & changed rooms 3 times for various reasons, we witnessed 2 violent fights between Algerians & pool staff, this was absolutely disgusting to witness, kids screaming, mums trying to get their kids out of the pool to safety the pool staff using poles to hit ppl, not giving a care in the world who they hit, chasing them all around the complex & stamping on the head of a guest with blood pouring out his head, all this was going on with kids screaming everywhere, plz avoid this hotel, I have been to Tunisia 4 times & never ever seen such a disgraceful hotel & staff ( apart from the animation team who worked hard to please guests & get them to join in) the food is ok if you can get any that is as the certain guests ( I won’t name what nationality they are so god dam ignorant they fill their plates & use their kids to jump in front of you, barge their way past you & so close you can feel their stinking breathe on your back, it was truly an experience I never wish to encounter again, the beach bar is always unattended and only has about 6 parasols, the aqua park is open to the public so the ppl coming in are not monitored & they use the bottom end of the swimming pool ( this is where the fights have started ) there is no health & safety or hygiene in this hotel at all, quite a lot of the staff mentioned this will be their last season working for them as they too were disgusted, Tunisia is beautiful so please pick a good hotel & believe the reviews about this one as it is a disgrace, you deserve a good a safe holiday & your family need to be safe from the violence in this horrible hotel , such a pity as the main pool area is lovely and does look so inviting, but when you have 20 ppl charging into the pool to fight while you are there with your kids is just not safe, I could go on with the negative reviews but I do Hope by reading this you pick wisely

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The room was in a terrible state — it was uncomfortable, there was mould on the walls, and it smelt musty. The air conditioning didn't work, the room smelt musty and there was mould everywhere. There was even paint on the bed! Water was cut off every day for approximately 1 hour. The most severe issue I encountered was Flooding at around 2:30 a.m. due to an issue with the neighbouring room's drainage system. The night-shift reception TL should undergo communication training to learn how to interact with clients. However, the one positive thing I would like to highlight is the hotel's general manager. He was very friendly and did his best to make things right with the resources available.

The worst hotel i have ever encountered. Food was atrocious and no one speaks a word of English. AQUASPLASH is open to public and tends to be the rowdy locals.

Hotel standard is average, it seems like an older buidling. The room standard was average (nothing special), luckily it was cleaned on a daily basis. The pool and aquapark were nice. The most disappointing was the restaurant were we faced with literally the chaos, such as: pleanty of people, not enough staff, dirty plates, queues at barbecue, pizza and pasta, broken coffe machine. Overall the food presentation was bad and sometimes disgusting, and most of all the hotel staff seemed bored and unfriendly.

I had a very nice vacation with my family, and all of this is thanks to the animation team, the show they presented, the activities, and the fantastic atmosphere. I want to thank them very much... especially the animaitor chaheen and the entire animation team. Thank you very much. ❤️

We had the best time here. Entertainment was fantastic thanks to all the team you were amazing. Reception and bar staff welcoming. As well as the lifeguards. Some areas are a little tired and restaurant food the same most nights. But booking the other restaurants is a must for a change of menu. Would also recommend the trips quad biking and pirate ship well worth the money. Be nice to the staff and they are nice to you in return and a tip goes a long way. Would definitely return miss you all 🌞

Very good fun for children and too adault, super activity and program. We are happy. The dancing at night and the show is very good. Every day there is a new party and something new. I want to thank the entertainment team for all of this, and I want to thank animator chahinee 🥰

What an absolute s**t hole , as a tunisian I'm very disappointed, customer service 0 , organisation 0 , management 0, everything about that hotel is terrible the food was horrendous, entertainment shocking honestly you might see the water slides and think that looks nice like I did. Honestly big mistake . U pay all that money and then u turn up and there is 200 plus day uses waiting to go on the slides so ur in a queue for ages not worth it.

This is very dirty hotel, all inclusive meens room without fridge ,safe,tv remote or towels for all of your family ac that never work long line for food drinks or cofee .This hotel is not even 2* hotel only positive is the animation team (simba, tito alvarez, mido)To ask a fee for fridge 15 dinars or safe 4 or for tv remote or ac remote 20 dinars is outrages. Even they have tactic for bar and the food line on purpose the staff work extremly slow in order to save the food and drinks. Terribly expirience.

Animation team really good very friendly our daughters spent all there time joining in the pool games and entertainment at night, they work tirelessly all day and night brilliant group of people

I came to this hotel with an open mind after reading mixed reviews, upon arrival we went to reception and waited to speak to someone ro check in, we knew our room wouldn't be ready as we're before our check-in time, we filled out the necessary paperwork then asked if there was somewhere we could change to use the pools. We were given a room in reception with no door where staff were smoking. Anyway we got changed eventually and went and sat by the pool until we could check in. When taken to our rooms we were very disappointed with the state of them. Broken doors to the balconies, using wooden poles as locks, water leaks from the ceilings and no air con. We went to reception to complain and my daughters room got changed to a slightly cleaner better room, whilst we stuck with the room we had been given. After we had complained about the rooms it was very clear the people on reception took an instant dis liking to us as we had further complaints throughout the stay and we just got totally ignored- cigarettes went missing from my daughters room, housekeeping came and took their towels and didn't replace them and their toilet roll wasn't replaced, 2 days we tried to get this sorted as we just kept getting ignored. My daughter found plastic in her food, the food was not great and the same every day so we ate out most evenings. Anyhow, we tried to not let this ruin our holiday, If it wasn't for the animation team saving our holiday and making us feel so welcome , and the great daytime games and evening shows I would give this hotel a 1 star rating. They work from morning till morning without stopping making sure all guests are enjoying their stay, and including everyone. My kids enjoyed joining in with the different pool dances, we liked the darts, the crazy golf, the beach Olympics, I especially liked the aqua gym and zumba and the evening shows , kids mini disco, the fire show was brilliant, watching all the entertainment team dance and the pool party was the best day . They really are the people that make the hotel a good stay. The water parks were good fun too.

It was a good expérience the food was delicious the animations staff was also friendly fantastic shows great job from them it was worth it i really recommend this hotel good service

I came with my family and we spent time the best holiday we like the sea and the pool and the water park the animation was the best especially ghaith he was full of energy he was funny and the staff was friendly

It was a very wonderful experience. Everything was excellent : the food, the pool the rooms and the animation is the most Amazing thing

The worst place every. We arrived at 12.30 at the hotel. They gave us a room that looked like from the beggining of the world. Very old, dirty (the cleaning wasn't made), the A.C. wasn't working. We went back at the reception to complain. We were to be given another room. For this we waited 4 hours in the lobby, without water, or food, tired from the travel with two inpatient kids, at 31°C. Also the AC wasn't on in the lobby. Finally they gave us a bungalow at the beach, decent, but as well a very old room. At least the AC was working. The balcony door had a thick stick as a security measurement. The painting on the door was peeling, the bath tub had mold. No minibar/fridge in the room for keeping our water cold. O and the aquapark....dirty, and garbage all over. Nowhere at the bars/restaurants could be found cold beverages, all the drink were served warmish (no ice either). The whole resort looked like wasn't renovated for 30+ years. The hotel doesn't deserve 4 stars, maybe 2 stars. We were very very disappointed. I will leave a few photos.

i really like this hotell, ive never been at such a good vacation in my whole life! i really like the animation team and its really good food here, since i came here ive never been more relaxed. theres massage and hamam, ive went to the massage and it was so relaxing!

Staff were very great especially Rady!! Gave the full family an amazing experience. Lovely hotel and the pool entertainment was great. Would really recommend.

I travel to Tunisia every summer and this was the worst hotel experience in Tunisia ever. I have been to more than 20+ hotels, but this was really a shock. I didn’t think that such a low level was possible for a so called 4 star hotel. The overall service staff in the hotel and the aquapark as well as the security was very nice and service minded, but the reception staff does not know what service is and do not care about the guests, always referring to someone else when there is a complaint. The whole family is really disappointed and did not expect the service to be at such a low level. Management needs to take a look at the people working in the reception, because this is not good enough.. We checked in to a dirty room. Had to complain 5 times before any action was taken, and when they took action they just pretended to clean the room, but in reality they just fixed the surface and the beddings where still dirty with old food from the previous guests of the room….. The overall hygiene of the hotel was the worst I have ever witnessed, it was super nasty to be honest and the food buffet was the same every day. The show and animation is not something to brag about either. Unstructured and not organized at all. The pool and aquapark was the only positives, but despite of that this hotel overall is not a 4 star hotel at all. I will definitely not come back to this hotel. Waste of money. Next summer I’m going to another hotel where they understand what it means to be service minded towards guests.

Good animators and i like dancing with animators and the hotels very Nice and good and good tobogans and itd very big hotels

Overall my recent holiday and stay at the thalassa sousse Resort & Aquapark hotel was a very enjoyable experience. The staff where very friendly and welcoming. Expecially the animation team who always tried to get you involved in the variety of a activities through the day. A special mention to tito and farouk and the boss madi, they were always professional and polite and did not make you feel pressured to get involved.thanks guys we will back again ❤️

Have to give it 1 star but the reception staff absolutely disgusting manager just wants to argue all the time Food absolutely disgusting no allergy advice or labels on anything No running water for hours somedays If your air-conditioning in room is not set you have to pay a deposit to get air-conditioning remote control All inclusive they say not a chance

I have been at the hotel for 3 days now and the animation team make us feel so welcome they do pool dances throughout the day and they have activities all day to take part in they also do amazing evening entertainment and they are all very funny and kind I would definitely recommend this hotel Very good here I am happy

We hope to meet all staff next year ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

The Hotel was really good. The Animation Team was really friendly and it was a really great time with hadyr, zeno and Omar. They Show some new things an I really Like the activities that they do with me and my Family. They Are every day at our Reception at every meal with Smile and every Night They make different Shows It was the best time, I ever had!

The hotel is located on a large area, so everyone can find something for themselves: silence, entertainment, dancing, sports. As they say, places are made by people and this can definitely be confirmed here. The employees compensate to a great extent for the standard of the hotel, which lacks a lot on various levels. For me personally, it was fantastic - thanks to the wonderful atmosphere... Omar is one of the employees who makes you feel at home in the hotel. A talented, nice, young man who made every day special...

Our holiday was made extraordinary by the incredible animation team. Every day was filled with fun, laughter, and well-organized activities for all ages. The DJ kept the atmosphere lively with fantastic music that got everyone dancing, making evenings unforgettable. A special thanks to the animation boss, who led the team with creativity and energy, ensuring every activity was unique and enjoyable. This team worked hard to create memorable moments for every guest, making our experience truly special!

The beautiful holiday I had with my children and husband, everyday we get much fun by the entertainment and they makes a lot of things day or night we enjoyed evning them programme with mini Disco and different show's every evning ... I want thank all this lovely entertainment and special the chief Aymen Madi , is smart and make us happy to be at this beautiful place ... Good luck guys we love you all ♥️😘

Väldig fin och trevlig hotell. Inte den bästa personalen. 6/10

The hotel allowed early checkin and late checkout. There is a water park attached and water slides in the hotel pools. The food and beverage service was good, The staff was pleasant and accommodating. The animation team provided great entertainment and programs. I didn’t like that sometime inappropriate music was played which involved cursed words, definitely not appy for family/children. I did not like the fact that there was only one ladder to get in and out of pool. Need more strategic placed ladders. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Hôtel a fuire... C'est de l'argent jetée par les fenêtres... Heureusement on n'a pris que 3 nuitées

Understaffed, dirty and crowded hotel. My son left the hotel after 2 nights during which he suffered from mosquitoes bites and other weird insects. We informed the personnel of the hotel but they did not take any measure. By the way how come that a four star hotel charges extra money for some basics services (like having a mini refrigerator or a locker for your valuables). In addition, how come that a four star hotel impose restriction on your consumption of water (1 bottle per room per day regardless of the number of guests).

It is a nice hotel but because a lot of residents were there it was not possible to staff to serve us properly, we have make line to eat etc the quality of the food and the the room cleanliness were terrible

a eviter.....c une honte.....une mascarade cet hotel

The aquapark and beach are great but the Hotel service is a desaster. The Hotel was full but not well prepared for too many residents.
