Had a really great stay – honestly exceeded my expectations. The rooms were clean, modern, and had that instant “feel good” vibe as soon as you walk in. Everything felt well organized and high quality without being too formal. Breakfast was also solid with a good variety and a relaxed atmosphere. A special highlight was definitely Saif from the animation team – super friendly, always in a great mood, and made everyone feel welcome right away. Whether it was activities or just a quick chat, he brought amazing energy and really elevated the whole experience.
I really enjoyed my at this hotel. The atmosphere was great, the staff friendly and everything was well organized . The animation team did a very good job there was always fun activities during the day and nice shows in the evening. Overall a very nice experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel
This is a beautiful hotel and our holiday was made perfect by every staff member we interacted with. The food is the best I’ve had at any all inclusive resort, there was always plenty of choice and all of it looked fresh and was well presented. Staff in the dining room were excellent at remembering your favourite table and drinks, especially Chafik who went above and beyond for us. The animation team worked really hard to keep us entertained and involved, and found the perfect line between encouraging without being pushy. The pool and beach area were well kept, with plenty of loungers and space. The room was lovely, had everything you might need and was cleaned very thoroughly. There’s a shop on site but just outside the hotel gates to the right there are a few shops that are worth visiting if you can drag yourself off the lounger for 10 minutes. Also recommend trying out the shisha and taking a walk to see the beautiful gardens that are so well taken care of. Can’t recommend them enough, we will be back for sure!
We booked a short 5 night break here in May '25. The hotel is modern and decorated well with well looked after garden and outside spaces. The pools are clean and the staff all work really hard to please. The variety of food was fab and we couldn't fault it. Our only negative experience was the taxi into the town as they have a scam going with the local shop keepers (pretend they work at the hotel and will take you to shops that will do the 'best price'- its a scam - they don't work at the hotel!) but this has nothing to do with the hotel. A great hotel and would return.
Fourth time visiting this hotel and we were welcomed back like family. The man in charge of receiving us off the transfer coach even said "welcome home". The food as good as we remembered, staff very friendly and remember our names despite the thousands that must pass through in a year. Cannot fault this place at all and have booked to return in April 2026
This was our first visit to Tunisia and we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is set on the beach and all rooms have a sea view. The outstanding staff make this hotel. Fabulous service and everyone goes above and beyond to make your stay lovely. The food was definitely the best all inclusive we have ever been to, even my vegan daughter had found lots of variety. The spa was amazing and we enjoyed two visits during our stay. The activities are fun, we enjoyed participating in the French boules, jenga and corn hole throw as well as tennis. Our daughter's enjoyed the gym, pirates, legs, bums and tums as well as the resistance bands. Although they did feel the some of equipment needed cleaning. The evening entertainment was varied but difficult to see due to the shape of the room. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing break.
Resubmitted. We have just enjoyed our 3rd holiday at this amazing hotel. All the staff are a credit to the hotel and make the holiday fantastic. The Reception staff are friendly and happy to help. Huge thank you to Amir and Yasmine for your kindness and endless knowledge. Our room and the hotel was kept clean by lovely staff who greeted everyone with a smile. The food choice was great in the main restaurant, the beach bar in the afternoon with a sea view and lovely food was fabulous and the a la carte restaurant was an amazing experience. The food was outstanding and a credit to the chef, such a talent!!! The TUI BLUE Team were so friendly and full of energy keeping everyone entertained. I enjoyed a Nordic beach walk with a lovely group of people. Thank you for singing Happy Birthday on the beach. A lovely memory made for my 60th birthday. Thank you to Lotfi at breakfast, Nizar in the main restaurant, Muhammed, Amine and Dali at the beach bar, Rammi the chef at The Culinarium, Alaa, Aymed, Aymen and Amde and Brahim at Theas for remembering our drinks and making us smile, Moclaise, Yazid and Najemedine for drinks at the Courtyard pool Huge thank you to the legend known as Ramzi, never change. Hope to see you all again next year. Kim and Bernard
We managed to bad a great deal on black Friday for a weeks holiday over the festive period. Having never been to Tunisia before we wasn't sure what to expect. Once we booked we did the usual thing and checked the review on here and seen a few negative reviews and comments regarding the staff, the food and the hotel in general but the majority was good reviews so we was happy with our choice. Location The hotel is in a good location. If you're someone that likes to walk a little you can walk to the Medina in around an hour, its a little over 3miles away and the same time and distance in the other direction is the Port El Kantaoui. If you walk up the beach you can reach the Medina but you have to walk along the front to get to the port. Nearby to the hotel is plenty of shops, supermarkets and food places also. Atmosphere We found the atmosphere in the hotel to be relaxed and friendly. From reception, bar staff, waiting staff and cleaners. All of them were friendly. Rooms, The rooms are not the biggest. There like one of them small studio rooms without any kitchen areas but we never booked the hotel for the size of the room. The room had everything we needed and was adequate for our needs. Our room was cleaned daily with towels changed, we had no issues with cleanliness in our room or anywhere else in the hotel. The hotel was great value for the price we paid during the Christmas week. Sometimes we heard some noise from our rooms but mainly it was peaceful. The food in the hotel was great. The buffet had a great selection and was always warm. In fact the food was one of the best things about our staff. Only real complaint from us was the room where the nightly entertainment was held has some huge pillars in the middle and around the room meaning 90% of the seating means you're blocked from actually seeing the shows fully. We placed ourselves in good seats as much as we could to see the shows but sometimes could only see half of the show. Only way to see it all is sit at the very front seats or on the side at the front.
Just returned from our first Christmas abroad ever and what a lovely experience it was. The staff all worked hard to make our stay restful and memorable. The Christmas Eve events were great, although geared towards the French guests who celebrate Christmas on the evening, which meant for us Brits Christmas Day was a bit of a non event, but we weren’t that bothered. Staff in the coffee shop, beach bar and restaurant definitely worth a mention, all hardworking and friendly. Entertainment staff superb and welcoming, learnt a new card trick from Amigo! The barman in the lobby bar not up to the same standard though. The whole site was really clean and well looked after. We would definitely return here, just not at Christmas, want it a bit warmer!
Beautiful hotel, very welcoming staff with smiles all the time. The location of the hotel is really good with local restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel itself is very clean and the food is so tasty. So much to choose from. Also the Head Chef went out his way to make us Kunafa again the next evening. We really enjoyed our time at the Hotel. We will definitely wil be coming back soon. Thankyou to all the lovely staff at Scherazade.
Outstanding service from everyone at the hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help. The daily program offered a great variety of activities to suit all needs. The gym personal trainer, Wael, made our stay extra special by delivering personalised, person-centred activities throughout the week. The food was amazing, with a wide range of varied and delicious options.
99% of the staff at this hotel are fantastic. Mohammed (the best Greek dancer in the World) is the best waiter we've ever had. The pool guy and the two in the lobby bar are exceptional as are the staff in Theas bar. The one person that lets the hotel down is Saleem a waiter in the main restaurant. He would reserve nearly all his tables for his favourite guests (probably big tippers). We did note on numerous occasions he seemed to be bullying the younger staff. The food at dinner wasn't the best but you could mollycoddle something together at a push, I had spaghetti bolognaise four nights in a row though. The hotel is very clean and the rooms although small are suffice. All other aspects of the hotel are good and for the price was worth the money. If we could get a cheap deal would probably return mainly due to the wonderful staff.
The hotel was nice to be fair but the food wasn’t great,. I will eat anything and not fussy at all but yuck! I would say the waiting staff were the nicest. So was the maid. The rooms were very small and very basic. The bathroom has distorted glass doors so you can be seen sat on the toilet. I love my husband but there are limits to what can be seen. The beach was not nice, there was condoms floating in the sea, what looked like turkey carcasses and feet. The security on the beach were obsessed with some bloke who was on like a surf board thing that had a kite (maybe a wind surfer). Everyday they would be smothering him (not that he complained). But it was constant. One day there were 8 security guards all talking loudly whilst I was trying to snooze on the beach. The worst and most arrogant one was the one that wore the very tight trousers and aviator sunglasses. One other thing annoyed me was everyday the football was on the television in the bars. I asked if they could show the rugby as it was the rugby season but told no. The bars had no atmosphere. Won’t be returning.
I would not return to this hotel. It’s a bit like a premier inn, in Tunisia. It was ok, the food was probably the best part. The room was fine, although the towels, sheets and curtains all had stains. The buffet is terribly laid out - the kitchen and cleaning are all done out of one door in the smallest /busiest part of the cafe. It’s kind of chaos. The drinks are awful, although it’s all inclusive they can’t make any drink you like, and the ones on the menu are strange and limited in variety. Also the cups around the pool are so old and the rims are completely chipped. There are staff doing absolutely nothing - the spa guy sits round the pool all day and the lady who cleaned the gym came every 30 mins - spent 20 mins on her phone then left again. Perhaps they could use the money saved to buy some coffee and wine that is actually drinkable. People reserve sunbeds so early. It wasn’t full when we were there luckily, so we managed to get some on the sand. It’s not a private beach either - there’s a private sandy area but the beach is public. But the worst part was the unwanted attention, as a female. The lifeguards thought it totally ok to make noises, comments on my appearance or touch my hair when walking behind me on the sun lounger. I didn’t take off my dress after the first day as I felt so uncomfortable. This is not a place for women to feel relaxed or safe. I expected this outside the hotel but not inside.
We have just enjoyed our 3rd holiday at this amazing hotel. All the staff are a credit to this hotel and make the holiday fantastic. Our room and the hotel was kept clean by lovely staff who greeted everyone with a smile. We travelled at the start of November and had great weather and an OK holiday. The food in the restaurant and quality of drinks were all of good quality and will match hotels in a higher price bracket, but there were too many negatives for us to consider returning here. What spoilt it for us, when we tried to sit by the pool in the day or an outside table in the evening we were sitting next to people who were smoking. There is no escape from it. Even choosing to sit in the main inside bar, this room too unexpectedly smelt of cigarette smoke too. What compounded this for us is that the public areas of the hotel had automatic air fresheners located throughout the inside of the hotel. This resulted in an unpleasant environment for us due to the effect it had on persons with any type of chest complaint. We approached the management team on more than one occasion to highlight the above issue, but they were not interested in changing how the hotel was run.
Great 10 stay at this adults only resort. Great location and great service. The food is fab and plenty of choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Would definitely recommend and we will return.
Arrived 18th November were given ground floor room asked to change were given room with a massive roof as a view! Third time given room 600 third floor end of corridor. Quite small very little room at one side of the bed and lacking in drawer space (nowhere to put my knickers ☺️) bed was very comfy and view from balcony was lovely. Had 3 days of decent weather then the cold wind came. Room was freezing had to ask several times when heating would be turned on. Took hours for our room to warm up and walking from the lift across an open area to get to the restaurant wasn’t the best. Windswept and freezing needed bowl of soup to warm us up ☺️ Food was good wine not so good a la Carte 5 course was nice only 1 visit allowed. Sunbeds round the pool where sun all day were gone by 6.30am but needed a coat so wasn’t too bothered. Beach was nice and waiter was excellent made sure we had hot coffee when we sat there under our towels. Evening entertainment was hit/miss singers were good but animation got everyone joining in and dancing. All Staff are excellent and Said our waiter in restaurant always had a table ready for us. We were unlucky with the weather as the week before it was 28 degrees but we have been in November many times and it’s never been as cold. Would we return to this hotel …. Yes but maybe in April when I’m sure it will be warmer.
Recently returned home after a 2 week winter break at this hotel. Staff are great and always helpful. Nice hotel and well maintained. After exclusively dining at the hotel, unfortunately on day 9 of our holiday I contracted food poisoning and spent the last 5 days of our trip either in bed or on the toilet. This completely ruined the holiday for me. My partner also fell ill with similar symptoms but fortunately she recovered after 24hrs. Would not return because of this. Also, the Facebook group for this hotel only lets you post positive comments and declines any resemblance of negative feedback so be wary of what you read on this group as it’s certainly not impartial!
We left the Scheherazade 2-3 weeks ago after a fantastic 10 night stay... For me, this beachfront hotel is all about peace, tranquility and affordable luxury, and we found all of that in abundance... The staff are superb and do their best to welcome and pamper you. Anything you desire from fine cuisine, good quality alcohol and other beverages to really good lunchtime menus are all at your fingertips. I will remember their patisserie chefs for a long time... pastries and especially the deserts are so beautifully made with the finest ingredients. The beach has the softest golden sand and there was always a great choice of sunbeds. The outdoor space at the hotel ensures that you are comfortable and have privacy around the pools or on the beach, there is an ideal spot for everyone... The evening entertainment was also varied and fabulous... I have never been amongst so many happy, friendly and courteous guests, despite language barriers. This was because of the atmosphere created by wonderful staff for their guests... We would have liked a slightly larger room than the standard room which we felt was too small and impractical, we needed more storage space... but other than that everything else was unbelievably good ... I have never been so relaxed on holiday, anywhere... Scheherazade is paradise...We will definitely be returning... From the UK to hotel was just 4 hours... What more can you ask for!
First time to Tunisia and was so impressed by this gem of a hotel . Only 3 hours flight and 40 minutes transfer so holiday began earlier than other North Africa ones! We had a great room on the top floor, amazing sunrises , were up at 6:30 enjoying the view, plus as sun sets early, wanted to make the most of every day. Room well equipped, compact but well equipped with a great drawer under the bathroom sink ,great for storing toiletries and sun cream etc. Food was the best we’ve had at an AI-so many cooking stations in the main restaurant where food was cooked fresh in front of you and the deserts …well Tunisia does bake off ! they were delicious as well as looking amazing. We used the snack bar at lunchtime and the food was excellent with a lovely view of the beach . Entertainment was really good ,enjoyed the aqua with Wasell who was a real mr motivator and Amigo was such a nice fella ,chatting to everyone and trying to get you involved in the many activities.Night entertainment was also good ,Tunisia does have talent ,loved the Tunisia show and the African dance show and musical bingo was fun The best thing about this hotel is the truly amazing team ,from the cleaner ,to all the bar staff and restaurants waiters who all give great genuine service .Special shout out to Ala in Thea’s bar who noticed I wasn’t enjoying a cocktail,he came straight over with my usual Mojitos and kept us topped up all evening and also Nizar in the restaurant,he was a lovely guy so kind and attentive, even decorated out table on our last night . Do recognise the special service you get from all the team ,they don’t earn a lot and really deserve tips, and do visit this hotel ,can’t wait to return! Anne and Michael
The hotel is excellent with everything you need, the food is good & service is excellent, all the staff are so helpfull & nothing is too much, the entertainment staff went above & beyond with some excellent shows, a big shout out too Ibrahim, wassim, Ahmed & amigo the entertainment team also thank you too Ahmed & aniss the bar staff that kept my glass topped up lol, we will definitely be coming back & if you haven't been give it a try you won't be dissapiinted.
We visited towards the end of October into November, the weather was just a nice temperature during the day, but chilly in the evenings. We had a really lovely relaxing time here which is what this holiday was for, to switch off, it definitely ticked all our boxes. We found the food very good, occasionally not very hot. Some of the lids to the dishes were left up, but some were very hard to reach. The staff at this hotel are ALL amazing, nothing was too much trouble and the TuiBlue app made things so easy. We ate at the Culinarium and although we enjoyed it, we thought the dining experience was not great due to the bright lights. I also thought the dining chairs in the main restaurant could do with a good scrub or better still, be replaced by nicer ones, just an observation. We were disappointed with the room, not that we spent much time in there, but there was just not much space or anywhere to put the second suitcase. We would love to return to this hotel but would probably pay more for a suite. We enjoyed the alcoholic drinks, I even found a cocktail I liked. The wine was lovely too. Great time had by us both here, we also met some lovely people.
I have been visiting Tunisia for 25 years. It was my first time staying here and it definitely won’t be the last. I have already booked for next year. On arrival I was greeted at the entrance, given a cold drink and cake whilst checking in. My room was ready, the porter took my luggage and showed me to my room. All rooms have a sea view, I was on the top floor. The sunrise is beautiful. The double room was ok for me as a solo traveler. There isn’t much storage space. Wardrobes have a safe inside, hanging space and a few shelves. There is a drawer under the sink unit in the bathroom to store toiletries etc. Bottled water replenished every day. Tea, coffee and kettle in room. The room was kept spotlessly clean by my lovely cleaning lady. There is so much choice of food in the dining room. The is a snack bar at the pool. The food is delicious and freshly cooked to order. I spent my days on the beach. There was no problem finding a sunbed. No need to go the bar as drinks are bright to you. Evening entertainment is the best I have seen in Tunisia. All the staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Looking forward to returning.
So many things made this one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Our 1st breakfast blew us away with the choice of pastries, cakes, and hot & cold food options. Being vegetarian there was an impressive choice of meals both at lunch and dinner (vegan options too) & I never ate the same meal twice during our 11 night stay. There is an a la carte snack bar during the afternoon which also offered different options to the main dining room. The staff want you to have fun, with plenty of activities to join during the day if you want to. Games of Kubb & corn bag toss were a big favourite among guests. There was also a variety of fitness classes. It was lovely to see the staff enjoying themselves, they really want you to have fun with them & join in. The evening entertainment was varied with an acrobatic show that was breathtaking, music bingo was great fun & there are plenty of opportunities to dance if you want to. The hotel was spotless, and oil burners meant everywhere smelt lovely. It’s these small attentions to detail that really make it feel homely. Drinks are continuously offered round the pool, beach, & during the evenings, the waiters very quickly learn your drink of choice and a drink will appear just as you’ve finished one! We really enjoyed our stay and want to say a huge thank you to ALL the staff for making our holiday so relaxing and fun. The half day TUI trip to El Jem is recommended, with a visit to an impressive mosaic museum. The time spent at each venue was perfect & well organised.
What a lovely place, staff possibly the nicest we've come across and we have been a few places. We had a swim up room and yes, you could only use till 1pm ish and its chilly but still lovely. Bemar, the lady who kept the room immaculate we Thank You and what a lovely lady. The food is good to excellent the buffet is good choices and again your service is excellent. The bars again we enjoyed Thea's bar more than the reception bar, we just felt more comfortable there but nothing against the other bar, just our preference. Allah at Theas was superb and could not do enough to make you feel at home and welcomed. You will.read gripes and complaints and every hotel get these. Genuinely though we had nothing to complain. Read negative comments about the entertainment in the evening, well its fine some we enjoyed more but excellent all round. The cullinarium was so much better than at The Palm Beach we stayed at last year, the service was less rushed and the food was better quality. We will book for next year and doubt we would stay elsewhere in Tunisia. I write this thinking of my early coffee looking at the sunrise at the beach whilst looking at the rain pour at home. Holiday blues set in. Thank you to everyone from the management to the staff cleaners, chefs gardeners all of you see you soon and Thank You x
This hotel is an absolute gem and has made us fall in love with Tunisia! My wife and I wanted a relaxing week and that is exactly what we had. The hotel public areas, rooms and grounds are spotlessly clean and nicely furnished. All staff we encountered were friendly, polite and very efficient. Evening entertainment is of a really good standard most evenings. Food was outstanding- my wife is vegetarian and she has never had such variety at any other all-inclusive hotel we have been to, including other Tui Blue hotels, so a huge thank you to the chefs and kitchen staff. The beach is beautiful- it would rival the Caribbean! Just a heads up though, for guests with mobility difficulties such as my wife, if you book a swim up room, half of these are only accessible via a stair case with no lift access. All in all a fabulous hotel- we have already booked to return next year!
Outstanding hotel with amazing service with special thanks to Mouhamed Golli our waiter in the restaurant. We cannot fault anything nothing was too much for anyone and they genuinely seem very happy in their work which suggests to me a great management base.
First off I never ever fancied going to Tunisia for a number of reasons. However, after spending 10 days there at the TUI Blue Scheherazade hotel, I'd go back tomorrow! The Hotel itself sits on its own private beach with each room overlooking the sea which produces some majestic sunrises. The rooms are somewhat small but very comfortable with adequate wardrobe and storage space. Bathroom was decent enough with a good shower and constant hot water. Maids did a great job in cleaning rooms, changing bedding and replenishing towels. Couldn't fault them at all. Food was excellent, fresh and varied each day. Even the pickiest of eaters could find themselves something to eat. Hats off to the chefs for a job well done. We mainly ate in the main restaurant for breakfast and evening meals, although we did try the A la carte restaurant one night which was very nice. Lunchtimes we mostly ate at the beach cafe/bar which also produced some great food. There's also a coffee shop on offer for drinks, rolls and cakes. There's 2 decent sized unheated pools to choose from with plenty of sunbeds to go round. Lots of daytime activities/games to keep you entertained if that's your thing. Alternatively there's enough quieter spots within the immaculate grounds if looking for some solitary time. All the activities/classes can be found and booked on the TUI Blue app. I thought the staff were great and I mean all of them. From the front desk to the waiters, barstaff to the maids, security to the gardeners, again couldn't fault them. I stayed in room 214 (31st Oct- 10th Nov) which was ideal for us. But I imagine whatever room your allocated it will be pleasant with great views. Do tip the staff where possible. Tunisian salaries aren't the best and a few dinar here and there goes a long way and is greatly appreciated. Weather was still fab when we left but take something warmer for the evenings as it does cool down somewhat. Go and enjoy!
We returned to returned this hotel as we enjoyed our stay here last year. We were not disappointed, everything was just as before-fantastic. Such a friendly hotel. Staff fantastic. Beach lovely and pool had lots of room around, easy to find a bed. Everyone who works there are working for you, to make your stay as pleasant as can be. Entertainment wasn’t bad and you could just go to the bar upstairs where Azin would greet you and remember your drinks every evening. He was exceptional at remembering everyone in the bar’s order then going back and delivering them! A great skill which the guy at the pool also did, but we didn’t catch his name. We will return next year with some friends as it is a place we want others to know about. The weather from 21/10-5/11 was very warm and it rained once for 5 minutes one evening when the outside show had to go indoors. Lots of places to eat, the Culinarium was very nice for the à la carte evening. Thea’s coffee bar did lovely coffee and iced coffees too, milkshakes were available as well. All in all the staff work hard to make you happy and I wish them a restful winter break, ready for next year to start all over again. Keep doing what you’re doing. Oh yeah, sunrises to die for, great photo opportunities to catch some gorgeous shots from your balcony, everyone looks out to sea, or on the beach.
Just back from 2 weeks at this hotel. This hotel is good and the staff cannot be faulted, they work so hard day and night so we enjoy our holiday. Every room has a beautiful sea view and that includes the morning sunrise which is spectacular. The cleaning staff do a fantastic job keeping every where spotless. Bar staff great at their jobs. My only concerns are to do with: - how small the rooms were -the furniture in bedrooms, and especially in the restaurant needs updating/repainting. -the beer on tap was not particularly nice to drink. -the way the restaurant area gets so packed at dinner time because of the layout and size, everyone bumping in to each other. Don’t know how you can address this problem. This will not stop me returning in the future as I had a lovely time.
This hotel is amazing. Lastnight we had the romantic dinner. A 5 course a la carte extravaganza. This was arranged by our fantastic tui experience guides who go above and beyond to ensure yoyr experience is perfect. The waiters ate attentive and lovely. The chef is phenomenal. They all made us feel special. What truly amazing people they are.
We visited this hotel for 12 nights in October on the recommendation of a previous guest and we were certainly not disappointed. On arrival, we were checked in and had a drink before going to our room. As it was quite late, we hadn’t expected any food but just as we were settling in, a staff member brought a lovely plate of cold food to our room. We sat on the balcony taking in the lovely surroundings also enjoying the bottle of red wine that was in the room. Our room ( 215) was really lovely with wonderful views across the beach / sea. It was kept spotlessly clean by the beautiful Lamia who had a permanent smile on her face the whole time. Such a nice lady. We preferred the beach to the pool area as it was quieter and we appreciated the sun bed mattresses laid out for us every day and the lovely waiter who kept us supplied with drinks / water the whole time. It was great to see the hotel guard dog being exercised on the beach. His handlers clearly love him as they were all in and out of the sea having fun together on his ‘down time’ Unfortunately my husband had hurt his back in the first couple of days so we didn’t participate in any of the activities but these were there if you wanted them and looked like good fun. Because my husband couldn’t move around too well, the restaurant was a bit of a challenge at times but the staff went out of their way to help. Keeping a table near the door for us and helping him carry stuff back to our table. Special mention to Lotfi who was wonderful at breakfast and Rami and Nizar in the evenings. You all made things so much easier for us both. Thank you. If we had one small suggestion to improve things, it would be to increase the number of cocktails available. The choice is a bit restrictive and the waiters didn’t seem to be able to make anything that wasn’t on the list. Also, the dinner wine wasn’t the best…… Finally, special mention to Anni, waiter in The Bar. His sense of humour had us in stitches some nights, this guy is so funny. I hope he’s looking after those donkeys! We can’t wait to see you all again next year!
TUI BLUE apparently the flagship of TUI! Lets start with the positives: Rooms, restaurants and grounds clean and tidy. Fitness and animation team were brilliant. Plenty of seats around the pool and beach. Now the negatives: Worn out condition of bed linen, towels, robes, plastic cups on beach (see photos) Food in main restaurant extremely poor quality and the remains of one sitting reinvention for the next. After three years it all becomes repetitive, I understand that the hotel has a budget to adhere to but this is supposed to be flagship a standard.
We stayed for 11 nights all inclusive I can honesty say that this hotel is GREAT! Good points: *A really good location with easy access to Sousse *Amazing staff who appear to care about their guests - nothing is too much trouble for them *All rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors have a lovely view to the beach and sea. *Room was well equiped *The hotel was spotlessly clean - including our room. *The buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner were really good with a wide range of dishes *As a vegetarian couple we had pleanty to choose from at each meal. There was a vegan and a vegatarian station for evening meals. No risk of cross contamination. *Beach was lovely soft sand - cleaned daily *A good range of drinks included in the all inclusive package *Swimming pools and activities are really good. *Ample sun loungers Not so good points: *Rooms are a little narrow which means double/twin beds are closer to one wall than desired *The public beach on either side of the hotel can get unpleasant litter *Some of the evening entertainment was poor However, what really makes this hotel so good is THE EXCELLENT STAFF We have been so impressed that we have alrready booked a stay for next year - we hardly ever revisit holiday hotels - but this is the exception. Well done to all the staff and management. See you again next year!
Had the best time ever, hotel is stunning and so is the beach, the staff and entertainment team were brilliant from the minute we arrived until we left😃 we partied non stop for 10 days, the people we met were great,we will definitely be back 😀
Arrived back home last night (30 degrees of a difference i may add in chilly Glasgow)and already re booked for 10 nights next October,...we enjoyed the chilled, relaxed vibe, hotel is spotlessly clean, room was great (212) and cleaned daily (could be doing with more than just water replenished though ..beer,juice for the fridge daily as it would be nice to chill with a beer on balcony b4 going to dinner etc ?) and all the workers from reception, bar staff, waiters, cleaners etc are all pleasant and helpful, food was decent, always something so no complaints there ,drinks OK...but could be more variety of cocktails and maybe some shots etc along with full pint beer glasses, seemed not enough staff to serve drinks around pool and beach as often as we would have liked..even wen u do tip almost daily,..should be a rule like other tui hotels where beds cant be reserved befor 10am,as its a joke round pool, same ppl in same prime sun positions because they must have got up at daft o clock to put towels down ,..crazy!!..hence we stuck to beach,..on the whole just so quiet and relaxing, great place to unwind ...looking forward to next October
This was are first time at this hotel but won't be the last as already looking for next year. We arrived late evening smooth check in we were taken to our room 504 and asked if we would like some food bringing to room which we did nice touch. The rooms are on the small side but adequate grounds kept spotless, Staff are credit to hotel, special mention to Nazer think thats how its spelt in restaurant also big thank you to all the staff nothing to much trouble. Food always plenty of choice and well cooked. Once again thank you to everyone for lovely holiday.
I want to start with the negative as it's so small but really needs addressing. The mini bar ... basically, it's a bottle of water. It would be nice to have tins of coke etc. Also the restocking of the coffee is hit and miss and I was constantly up and down the stairs to get supplies. For me, it wasn't an issue but it's a service that should have been provided daily. Now to the great part :) This was our 3rd time and each time it gets better and better and although we only flew back on Friday, I've already booked for next year. The rooms are smaller than most TUI Blue's but they are perfectly adequate and who spends their holiday in the room!! There is ample hanging space and shelves. The beds are comfy so all in all, nothing to complain about. The view and sunrise is amazing. The food is great and always hot. The patisseries are moreish so be prepared to gain a few pounds. The only negative here, there is not a hot pudding. Next time we go I'm going to take a couple packets of instant custard as there is a coffee machine on constantly with a hot water option. Must remember a whisk lol .. A special thank you to Lotfi at breakfast, always ready with the teapot and Nazir at lunch and dinner who couldn't do enough for us. The beach and pool area is spotless as are the beach toilets. Saida is fabulous and makes sure the toilets are immaculately clean with the added touch of flowers and jasmine scent. She's a dream. One great thing is there are always plenty of sunbeds and you don't have to get up at silly o'clock to reserve a space. Weissem has been on beach duty the last two years and although this time he was around the pool he always came to say 'hello'. The lifeguards are great and always smiling as our security around the beach area. It's a pleasure to go down every morning. We are early to bed and early to rise so can't comment on the entertainment. That said, it sounded good from other guest comments. The staff make this hotel the memorable holiday you'll get. We were treated like celebrities from check in to check out. I cannot praise enough ALL the staff from the cleaners to the management. They are the most professional happy people I have ever encountered and we are well travelled. I was in tears to leave and contemplated becoming the next "Shirley Valentine"!! When we hear guest says they have been coming to this hotel 20 odd times and sometimes 4 times a year for a month at a time, I absolutely understand why. On a final note, there are two great shops just outside the security gates where you can buy almost anything. I came home with leather bags, and rugs/throws!! Yep, I had to sit on my suitcase to close it lol Also the most fantastic dentist next door who we could not recommend highly enough. Last year my husband broke a tooth and it was repaired overnight and at a very small price. We were back again this year for further work. Also the opticians across the very busy road repaired his glasses, free of charge .. can you see that happening at home??? Not on your nelly! Thank you once again TUI Blue Shezza, I can never pronounce it's name .... I can't wait to get back.
This is our 3rd visit to this hotel and we love visiting, the rooms are lovely and the beds are comfy, we had a beautiful view from our balcony. Food and drinks are very good, plenty to choose from but I think that some areas are becoming tired looking and are in need of replacing, the sunbed mats, for example, and the plastic cups on the beach/pool. In the main the staff are very nice but I have noticed more and more there's a difference in how guests are treated depending on who serves you. Some waiters seem to fall over themselves with some guests but not others. I experienced it a few times with guests being waited on hand and foot, and I struggled to even get salt and pepper on my table. I think every guest should be treated well and equally, and this definitely isn't happening. There needs to be more consistency in customer service, and it shouldn't be down to who tips you the most.
Wow! Where do I even start... this holiday was well and truly needed ..and it was everything and more.. got there and was greeted with a smile.. we filled out forms and went to our room. 222 it was beautiful on floor 1 looked over grass and could see the pool and the beach. The beach is absolutely beautiful sand, we enjoyed several drinks on the beach and the waiter service made the whole experience. (Ahmed) was truly amazing. The waiter who did the pool was great too. Life guards so helpful and always walking around looking happy and moving sun beds and umbrellas for people All waiters in main restaurant and snack bar are all amazing too many to name but all 10/10 The la cart was ok but not our type of food but amazing service by Dali, the music was amazing also. ENTERTAINMENT 10-10 All entertainment staff were great, activities for everybody.. morning till night always something going on.. it was fabulous!!!! the evening entertainment was good musical bingo and silent disco was my favourite all the boys had us dancing and made us laugh often, beautiful souls.. BAR STAFF EXCELLENT! The service from them all would be hard to beat. alaa was our waiter most days and was very fast and remembered orders well.. (Add more cocktails to the menu) is all I would like to say. Maids had our room looking and smelling lovely everyday. Thea's coffee shop has the best hot chocolate ever! We loved it 😋 Pool is cold but you soon warm up after a few minutes Shop was great loads of things, great prices and quality I could post a lot more but think I've covered everything il be back to this hotel in definitely 💯
On our first visit was in October 2024, then I reviewed this hotel as a slice of Tunisian Heaven, located on a stunning white sandy beach, that is faultlessly clean. And our second visit in October 25, just confirms I was right. The hotel is small in appearance but massive in personality, all the staff are so welcoming, friendly and happy to help to welcome you. From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left we were greeted with genuine smiling, happy faces from all the staff be it 6 am or 12 midnight. The Food and service in all areas is some of the best we have encountered on our many travels abroad, and all the chefs and waiting staff will go above and beyond to make sure its first class and nothing less. We were again allocated a beautiful room on the 4th floor which was perfect it that had amazing sea views and sunrise views. Room was always spotlessly cleaned daily by the maid. (Thankyou), and we had lovely towel and flower art everyday . We used the beach every day, great to see they have extended the sun beds further to the beach front without making the beach feel overcrowded, there was always plenty of sunbeds and the beach guys would also pull-out extra beds if you wished to sit in a different location. Have to give a massive shoutout to Amed who serves on the beach, this guy is a real asset to the hotel, works the beach all day, with a charming smile and never forgets a drinks order. We travelled to this hotel celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and ate at the Culinarium on this occasions, which is in a garden location and is simply beautiful, the food menu was wonderful and the services received from Mohamed & Dail, was so professional and friendly. A massive thank you to the lovely Yasmine for helping us with this reservations. To all the staff at this hotel, you make the Scheherazde a little gem of a resort, but a special thank you and appreciation goes out to the follow staff members that we had the pleasure of being in the company of everyday for our two weeks stay: Chafik in the main restaurant for breakfast /lunch, your smile is infectious, uplifting and makes a perfect start to any day. Your attention to detail, warm friendly welcomes ever morning are so uplifting, thank you so much our forever friend . Rayan, it was a pleasure meeting you and thank you some much for taking good care of us when Chafik, was unavailable. Amed the beach waiter, thank you for keeping us refreshed, your hard work back and forth all day long is a credit to you and never went unnoticed. Mohamed, Mouhamed & Dali lunch poolside or a la carte, it’s always something when your first drink is pending your arrival (, thank you for always accommodating us. Said in the main restaurant in the evening, (also serves at lunch) from our first evening you took care of our every need making sure our evening meals were special, and our glasses topped up. Your work ethic, your care, consideration, and attention to all the people in your section made us feel so special, thank you. Mohamed Ben Said – Evening bar , this guy will remember your drinks from the first day you meet him, he will ensure you have a seat, for pre-dinner drinks or after dinner drinks, he sees your glass is empty before you put it down and is there to continue to serve you if you require. always happy with a smile, thank you. Anis - Evening bar waiter, you constantly made us laugh, lovely jubilee. We can not thank all the staff enough for making our stay so welcoming. We truly hope to be able to return in 2026,
Fantastic hotel, all staff friendly & helpful. Restaurant & bar staff can't do enough for you. Entertainment team great & pay great attention to you. Hamed is a great character & spends time with everyone. Will be back next year to visit this Fantastic hotel.
The hotel was lovely and clean. The room was spacious with the amenities you would expect. The food was delicious very flavourful. The entertainment team was amazing especially Amigo lots of games to play and things to do in the day.
Absolutely amazing staff. Ahmed just such a beautiful person. Very friendly and does not stop with his kind heart all day. Will be very missed when we leave but hopefully meet up when we come back in July. Thank you so much
Meant to review earlier. Rooms on the small side but clean. Staff exeptionally friendly, especially Anis in the lobby bar and Kader in the main restaurant. The beach was ok but not worth snorkelling as few fish. We went on the Colliseum tour which was well worth the money. There are 2 shops at entrance to hotel which sell plenty souvenirs. The shop in the complex sells the cheapest tobacco.
Quite simply, I would like to say thank you very much for all the attention and kindness during our stay in your hotel. Of course, every hotel has plus and minuses with their facilities and services but because everyone was so kind let us talk only about the good things. I would like to say thank you one by one to the people who helped us most. Suha. Thank you for your kindness and for solving our problems during our stay. Mohamed, Laith, Marwa. thank you for your help and hospitality in the best way they could do. Ala, Anwar. always say hello and very friendly with their best service during breakfast and lunch. Abdul, the fun belly dancer and Saed, who served us during three meals almost every day. They were really caring and remembered our habits and preferences, bringing things we like without asking. NOTE. You must not miss waiter Abduls performance every Tuesday evening during dinner. He was so hilarious. Thank you for your big hug, Abdul, before I left. Fatma, the cleaning lady in the restaurant, always smiles and say hello. No easy job mopping the floor while guests are walking to collect their food. She had the patience of a good mother. Thank you for your big hug and kiss before I left. Ahmed, always bringing drinks during our relaxation on the beach. Thank you also to the whole team of chefs who had the hard work to create all the amazing desserts and delicious food. Maybe some day you can offer a baking class as a day activity for the guests. All made very special cakes. Finally, thank you to all the staff who's names i can't remember one by one. We felt so happy to have stayed in this hotel, not only as a guest, but more like a part of their family, very homely feeling. If you are searching a nice hotel with warm and caring service, we highly recommend this hotel. If we ever have the chance to return to this hotel, we will. BRAVO and keep maintaining this quality service. thank you again. AARON
haven't got a bad word to say for this hotel, honestly the best we have ever stayed in.from arriving to leaving staff were helpful and always a smile, from reception waiters and cleaners. animation had you involved in activities without pestering. food is superb various fish and meat dishes daily.plenty of breakfast options and always something different to choose breakfast lunch and dinner. bar staff and waiters work really hard to make sure everyone is catered for. wanted to go back next October but unfortunately fully booked. would highly recommend and hope to see you all again.
Very pleasant stay in this hotel which has large beautiful gardens, outdoor pools and a private sandbeah. We had a quiet room which was good. Excellent surprise with the young chef who creates refined pastries. Food otherwise includes a mix of continental and local cuisine. Animations in the evening were of varied quality but excellent singer on Wed evening, If anything, the sea view room is on the small side, waiters were very nice but seemed exhausted after the season, no light on evening in the sport room.
Second time staying at this hotel we were put in room 203 we had 4 nights without any sleep, no help at all from the managers we paid for economy room after not being able to sleep we even asked the manager to ignore our room preference and to at least give us a quiet room. After asking every day to be changed room on the 5th day we finally had our room changed. The managers of reception can't take bad feedback and they make sure they report you on any website and facebook groups so you get kicked out or have the feedback removed. They destroyed our holiday giving us dirty looks because I put a complaint on the tui app. Some of the staff told us they always have problems with that room as underneath there is the kitchen and on top the room the main central electricity. The staff in the restaurant, cafe, bar, beach restaurant and cleaners are all nice but the reception managers need all changing. Unfortunately not able to put videos on here with the noise that we had to stand for 4 nights.
This was our second visit this year and we love this hotel for the peaceful, relaxing and beautiful surroundings. All the staff work exceptionally hard and make this hotel. If you have any issues or needs Shayma from guest relations is always available and very helpful, thank you S Shayma 😊 Some tweeks to improve the hotel - New bedding, towels and bathrobes, all a little tatty now. Dining areas looking tired need refurbishment. Plastic 'glasses ' many scratched and unhygienic need replacing. This hotel mainly attracts couples over 40 looking for relaxation.
Currently sitting around the courtyard pool at 7.15pm sipping a cocktail. Day 7 of 10 without any complaints whatsoever. Staff are great and attentive and appear to enjoy their work, food selection varied and fresh, entertainment is entertaining, hotel spotless and definitely on my list of Tui hotels to return to. Our first time in Tunisia which has impressed and we will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family. Thanks to all the staff for their efforts to make this a great holiday.
Recently returned from a most enjoyable 7 days holiday at this lovely hotel with the most pleasant staff members throughout the hotel. This was our first visit. No matter where we went we were always greeted with a "Hello" and a smile. The service was brilliant, we gave small tips on our first full day to the important staff, i.e. maid, those serving drinks by the pool and in the bar at night and the waiter in the restaurant and they really look after you. Food was plenty, varied and where necessary hot. The bread rolls were lovely. Entertainment was ok, nothing brilliant, although we thought the lady singer was fairly good. There were enough sun loungers but you had to get a towel on your bed by 8am each morning. The one area I would have improved would be to segregate smokers into designated areas in outside areas, i.e. by the pool and watching the entertainment outside. As an asthma sufferer, sitting near someone who smokes is not very pleasant. Met some lovely guests as well. All in all, a lovely holiday.
We stayed at Tui Blue Scheherazade last we and had such a lovely time. This hotel is spotlessly clean, the food is just great and there is so much choice. The staff are what really makes it, they're all so lovely and helpful, lots of genuine smiles. We stayed in a suite which was such a treat and we'd like to thank our room maid, Souhir for not only cleaning our room so perfectly but making it comfortable, cosy and welcoming each and every day, we really felt looked after. Thank you to you all at Hotel Scheherazade.
Visited recently in September 2025. Firstly found out that we had to pay £30 per person hotel tax. That was the first we ever knew about this. The staff inside the hotel are pretty nice and some of the waiters are very good. Tips talk as usual though. The food is okay but very repetitive. Lots of general food was not to our liking, especially the European style breakfasts. Our waiter Mr. Hemdi was great and always looked out for us. Outside we spent our time on the beach area, which was ok. One of the young guys serving drinks was very slow and got upset when we went to the bar to get drinks, rather than having to wait for him. As the plastic cups were quite small and the beer very weak we often found that we had to go ourselves to refill. The beach was okay but lots of rubbish was all over the place. Often there was a foul smell as well as the rubbish. The main area where the sun-beds go is raked every morning and is much cleaner. We went out into Sousse after booking a taxi at reception and agreed a price of 10 dinar but when the 4 of us were in the taxi he wanted 15, which we agreed as we were already on the car. On our way the police stopped the taxi and the policeman asked how much we had agreed. We told him and that apparently lead to the driver being fined for trying to rip us off. Sousse is another market area where you are just hassled constantly. We all expected this but if only they would realise that they would get lots more business if they didn’t try to drag you in their shop. We spent lots of money between us but not in any of the hassle shops. We also took a taxi to Al Khantoui and again booked at reception agreeing 10 dinar. Inside the cab he then wanted 20. We again thought we may as well go as we were in the cab. The driver dropped us off and agreed to pick us up at an agreed time but on the way back he took a detour and was going to take us to his brothers shop. We had to tell him strongly that we wanted to just return to the hotel and he got upset. Taxi number 252. This put us off going out again. In general we had a okay time and found the entertainment good most of the time. Our room was ok with a nice view but was not the cleanest I’ve stayed in. We were not left with milk in the room or coffee so we had to find someone to ask. Quite a few areas were not clean and the fittings were not good and needed attention. I personally would not go back again for various reasons but mainly the food, cleanliness and the lack of service by one young person in particular. Thanks to the entertainment guys who were good and helped make our holiday worthwhile.
We had 11 nights and really enjoyed this. Both pescatarians and thought that the food here was as good, if not better, than any other place we have visited. Staff are also genuinely nice, keen to please, hard-working and just good people. Special mention to Anis in the bar who worked tirelessly with a smile on his face. Ahmed on the pool bar is another example but tbh 99% were cheery all the time. Gym classes were good, boules good fun, loads to do within the hotel. I'd have liked more to do outside the hotel but this is a review of the hotel and as I said, for fly and flop this is superb. I think that's a Tunisia thing tbh. Pool was lovely. The hunt for the best beds by the pool was competitive but there were other beds very nearby if you were unlucky. I recommend the hotel shop as I think it's quality produce at good prices. Two stores next door ok but the hotel shop seemed better. We were stung at the medina souk for pricey sports gear but my fault as allowed ourselves to be pressured. When I inquired at the local hotel store the price for one of the items was far cheaper. So a brilliant time all round ++++++++
Well what can I say.. What a fantastic week away at this wonderful hotel. The staff are fabulous all make you feel welcome. The food was lovely, freshly cooked at all times. A special mention to Anwar,Bilel and Rayen in the restaurant. Looked after us for the 7 days we were here. We had 2 weeks away in April and this amazing hotel put that one to shame. The service around the pool was excellent as well. All in all a great week away and we will definitely be back. Also how clean this hotel is well done to all staff and thank you
This was our 1st time at the hotel. From start to finish it was fabulous. We stayed here for 3 weeks. The staff were amazing. Food was amazing. Everybody was friendly. My only quibble was the lack of lifeguards on the beach. They all seemed to be up at the pool. Scary when the sea was rough. We would cone back again.
We were with you in May of this year in room 500 and something on the ground floor. My wife absolutely loved the hotel and all the staff and so we are back next month. Hope all the same staff are still working, the boys round the pool, all the cleaning ladies and the snack bar staff and the man in the restraurant who made me the best coffee every morning. We are hoping for another ground floor room, our TUI ref is 28535013 and we will be with you on 10th October. And I nearly forgot to mention the tall guy who waited on around the pool at night who always brought my dinks as soon as he saw me. Best wishes John M from the UK
I booked this hotel after reading the recommendations from Lou Usher (you tube). No complaints with Tui, flights OK and plenty of communication from them. Short flight time which is a bonus, airport a bit chaotic but nothing too bad. Return trip to the airport was horrendous as there were about 20 coach loads arrived at once. Not many seats once inside the airport. Transfer time 40-60 mins depending on the amount of drop offs. Regular visitors get taxis and I would probably do the same if I went again. Hotel Scherazade Tui Blue is just lovely. Beautiful design, elegantly decorated inside and has the right amount of eating areas and bars to manage the amount of guests that they have. there are only 200 rooms so max people is 400. Bonus was Adult Only. We were welcomed like long lost friends and after a spot of lunch were shown to our room. 3 floors perfectly serviced by lifts so no problem there. The rooms 706 (as previously mentioned) are small but they are perfectly functional. you receive a complimentary bottle of red wine and a plate of fruit. Bathroom is great and shower is hot and powerful. All rooms face out to the sea. Stunning view. Our room was cleaned perfectly satisfactorily every day and lots of nice towel art to entertain us. There are 2 pools to choose from, the questionable shaped pool by the beach and the courtyard quiet pool. The beach is vast and has plenty of sunbeds and is perfectly safe. On my last day i was up early (due to flight time) and saw guests putting towels out at 5.30. Now i know this is a heavy debated subject but if you are willing to sit there for hours just to get 3 steps closer to the pool then that’s up to you if not then don’t complain. All pools are looked after by lifeguards and bar staff. There is a cooked to order snack bar by the beach, toilets and towel hut. The animation team are around this pool all day with various activities going on or you can just have a slow walk to the beach and watch the parasailing or swim in the sea. The courtyard pool is much quieter but gets the sun for a shorter time. It is a rectangular shaped pool perfect for a swim or just to relax. This is also looked after by a lifeguard and bar staff. there are toilets, Theas coffee bar and the main restaurant are all around this pool area. There are plenty of covered areas to escape the heat of the sun. The weather was glorious for 11 days out of 14 but despite the rain it was still very hot. The TUI BLUE team walk the grounds and are very visible for a chat any time of the day, the TUI BLUE APP is encouraged and is valuable to check when an activity is due to start. The restaurants can feel chaotic at times but I think this depends on when you visit them. If you choose to go dead on opening then yes it will seem busy. One day i couldn’t sit in my preferred area so the waiter just recommended that i go away and come back after 15 mins which was perfect for us. The food is outstanding, all hot and presented beautifully. The desserts are to die for and they look and taste beautiful. There is so much choice at all times. I never ate in the Culinarium because the food in the restaurant was that good, but I will next time. After your evening meal then go visit one of the bars to watch the entertainment. The staff like to wait on you for drinks so waiting at the bars is not needed. The entertainment begins at 9.00 till 10.00 every night and is the best i have seen at an all inclusive hotel. The animation take over after that with the usual game shows. You can sit in the courtyard to watch it (beware you may get picked for games) or go upstairs to the bar and sit outside. Either way its over by 11.00pm Its very loud so you will have no chance of an early night! We never ventured out of the hotel really but i know there is pharmacy opposite and a big shop next door. The on-site shop is really good and the guy who owns it loves a chat. Lets talk about the staff. They are absolutely brilliant, they make this hotel without a shadow of a doubt. Everybody says hello or good morning and stops for a chat. I must say a special thank you to a few staff members......Souhir you are fantastic, Abedhak was a lovely chap and looked after us at breakfast, Saied looked after us so well at lunch and dinner, Baha the lifeguard around the pool became everyone’s son and best of all Anis in the top bar, he watered us every night and is hilarious. Lastly i must say a huge thank you to all of the unseen staff that work tirelessly to keep this hotel the way it is. We met some lovely people on this holiday, Martin and Julie (always on holiday), the Dutch couple(Temu lover) and the medications buyers (cant remember their names so most people got nicknames, i cant be the only one that does this on holiday?) but best of all Lorraine and Paul, lovely couple and I’m sure we will see them again. If I was to be a bit picky it would be this........ Invest in some new bedroom sheets....they look like they have seen better days. Invest in new towels pool and bathroom and dressing gowns ours was yellow. Open the dining room earlier... 7 pm is late. 6 or 6.30 would be better. If you open it for longer you may not have the bottle neck that you have at 7 because its only open for 2.5 hours. Overall a lovely hotel and i will probably visit again.
My wife and I have just spent a week at this hotel. We are not the best travelled people but have been to France, Spain, Greece, Cyprus, and Turkey. My other half was a bit unsure of Tunisia but I convinced her. We met three couples that booked again for next year whilst still on holiday. It is simply the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The food is as good as at a high end restaurant. The staff are amazing. The amount of places to sit and relax is endless. Gardens, two wonderful pool areas, Thea's coffee shop, the bar, the lobby. All beautifully decorated and lovey chairs and sofas. We hope to return next year.
Booked here for a short 5 day break, actually wished we could have stayed longer. Will definitely go back. The hotel is very clean and well maintained, the rooms are a little small especially where the bed is, there is not a lot of room at one side. However they are very clean and all the rooms have a sea view with a nice size balcony which is a huge bonus. The food in the hotel is absolutely fantastic, always a lovely selection of different dishes. We have been to a lot of hotels and would probably say this has been the best as far as the food is. The beach is lovely and clean and there are always beds available, no need to get up early unless you are a pool person. There are two pools, one small one in the courtyard and a larger one towards the beach, both are very nice but as we are beach lovers, we did not use them. The staff are so nice, friendly and helpful. Usually when you go to hotels you usually come across one or two staff who are either miserable or unhelpful, not here though, every single member of staff was absolutely brilliant. They made our stay so much nicer, thank you. I can’t really say anything bad about this hotel, there was just nothing to fault. The only thing that was a little problem was the sea, which of course is nothing to do with the hotel. On the first day we arrived, the sea was so dirty you could not see the bottom, it was merky and smelled and there were small fish struggling to breathe and floating on top. Wondered if sewage had drifted In. The water started to clear over the next couple of days and became very clear. There is also a lot of rubbish floating along the shore. Like I said though, the hotel is fantastic and we will definitely be going back again. We enjoyed our holiday so much. A massive thankyou to all the staff.
I’ve just returned from an incredible ten-day holiday at the TUI BLUE Scheherazade in Sousse, Tunisia, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences I’ve had. While the room and bathroom were on the smaller side, they were manageable for the duration of our stay. The beds were a bit firm, but a quick call to reception and they will promptly provide a mattress topper. Housekeeping was excellent, our room was cleaned daily with fresh bed linen, towels, and even bathrobes. The hotel itself is immaculate, from the pristine grounds to the well-maintained private beach area. The staff were outstanding. Whether you were lounging by the pool or relaxing at the bar, they kept your drinks topped up with a smile. The hotel entertainment team deserves special praise, they’re on hand from early morning until late at night, offering a wide range of activities including sports, arts and crafts. There is also access to a fully equipped gym and spa. A special shoutout to Aziz and Armed, who made sure I was involved in the fun every day and evening. Evening shows were hit and miss, some were better than others, but I might add this is my personal preference, it may be suited to others' tastes. I suspect the sound system might be the issue, as the volume was quite loud and echoed off the walls, making it hard to hold a conversation during performances or even when it was just music playing. The pool area was another highlight. There were plenty of sunbeds available throughout the day, regardless of when you arrived. That said, if you’re after a premium spot that catches the sun from sunrise to sunset, you’ll need to be up early to claim it. Now, the food is absolutely amazing. The service was top-notch, and many dishes were cooked right in front of you, giving the feel of having your own personal chef. I’m a notoriously fussy eater, but this was hands down the best food experience I’ve had on holiday. The dessert section looked and tasted fantastic, though I only indulged a few nights I didn’t want to come home ten stone heavier! There’s also a small on-site shop run by a lovely gentleman named Mraz (apologies if I’ve misspelt that). He’s there from early morning to late evening and has everything you might need, from essentials to souvenirs, at very reasonable prices. One of the most memorable parts of the trip was meeting some truly incredible people during my stay. Their warmth, humour, and good company added something extra special to the holiday and made the experience even more unforgettable. My only real disappointment was the public beach area beyond the hotel’s private section. Unfortunately, it wasn’t as clean as I’ve seen elsewhere, with litter scattered across the sand and in the sea. I truly hope this isn’t the result of tourists, as it was quite upsetting to see. Overall, this was a truly memorable holiday, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return. The hotel, staff, food, and atmosphere were all exceptional, and the people I met made it even better. All in all, I would definitely visit this hotel again
Here's my review, broken into handy sections - ⸻ Rooms The rooms are on the smaller side but still pleasant. Air conditioning works well, WiFi is reliable, the shower is hot and the bed is comfortable. There’s a large TV, plenty of wardrobe space, and every room overlooks the sea, which is a lovely touch. Pool & Sunbeds The pool is great, warm enough in September to cool you down without being cold. By 9am there were always plenty of sunbeds available, and even throughout the day we never struggled to find one. The daybeds are surprisingly underused despite being free, and they’re very spacious and comfy. The top end of the pool (closest to the beach) gets the most sun all day. By 5pm the pool usually quietens down, leaving it calm and sunny. Poolside Food & Drinks The pool snack bar serves tasty food with good service. Burgers, fish and chips, pasta and more were all solid choices, and you get to enjoy them with a beautiful view of the beach and a refreshing sea breeze. Staff around the pool and bar were always friendly, and a small daily tip makes a difference to them. Restaurants The buffet restaurant was excellent. Breakfast and dinner offered so much variety and everything we tried was fresh and tasty – not once in our 11-night stay did we have a bad meal. The Culinarium, which is included once per trip, was also very good. We dined on the terrace, and the food was delicious. Beach The beach is stunning, with fine white sand, well maintained and plenty of sunbeds. The sea in September was pleasant and warm enough to enjoy. Entertainment & Activities Daytime entertainment around the pool was always fun, with the team working hard to involve people in aqua aerobics, volleyball, water polo and even games like cornhole. Evening entertainment was the usual all-inclusive style but held outside by the courtyard pool, which is a lovely setting. Facilities & Extras The onsite shop sells useful items like snacks, sun cream and inflatables, alongside the usual holiday souvenirs. The hotel WiFi was fast and worked everywhere – we even streamed football with no issues. Currency exchange is available at the hotel but only for cash. Conveniently, there’s an ATM just outside the gates for getting Tunisian dinars. Overall We loved our holiday and would definitely recommend TUI Blue Scheherazade to anyone looking for great food, a beautiful beach, friendly service and sunny weather.
First impressions are key and this hotel was perfect lovely welcoming, all the staff very friendly huge smiles . Our room was on the top floor, fantastic views and quite perfect for us.housekeeping was excellent loved the little touches with fresh Restaurant was great always a vast choice of food especially the desserts and all the staff were so helpful and always smiling nothing too much trouble There is spa in the hotel which we took advantage off ,great massages from Samia and Afifa would highly recommend. We spent most of the time on the beach where there is someone to help with sun beds and will bring drinks. Another bonus is a small book exchange area within the losing area The whole experience of staying here was excellent , I would say that all the staff without exception make this the place you will want to return too, which we hope to do .
Our fourth visit to this hotel and have enjoyed every minute of each one. We were given a wonderful welcome and all staff were as usual very friendly and welcoming. Our room was excellently cleaned daily. Food in the buffet was very varied and delicious and Saed looked after us brilliantly at mealtimes. The beach snack bar was great for a visit at lunchtimes. Entertainment staff were great. Special mention to Ramsi and Najemeddine and the two young ladies for making sure we had drinks by the courtyard pool, they were very kind and helpful and also Baha and Badder for making sure we were looked after with our sunbeds and umbrellas. Evening times were spend round the courtyard pool watching the entertainment and Khayri did a great job of keeping us supplied with drinks, always with a lovely smile. Finally, Anis and Mohamed were absolutely great in the lobby bar. Few minor things - firstly we think the shower rooms need updating and also the entertainment is the same each week and indeed each year which gets very monotonous when there for two weeks. However, that wouldn’t stop us from returning and in fact because we love the hotel and staff, we have booked for year. See you then John and Christine
This hotel does not provided the true Tui blue experience the entrance a reception area is Tui Blue after that there was no sparkle no major issues just a number of small issue that takes the sparkle away from a wow factor holiday and it’s the small extra special bits that make for a relaxing holiday Issues identified by the pool was an area of parasols for non smoking of the nine parasols only one had a no smoking sign and the waiting staff served drinks to people smoking and on one occasion even got them ash trays and did not raise the issue that’s it’s a no smoking area when this was raised to the TUI rep who raised the issue with the TUI blue hotel guide I was thanked for bringing it to there attention as they were unaware how could they be unaware don’t the staff member serving drinks in this area identify the issue plus the managers at the hotel walked past the area several times a day so I don’t know what they were looking at I had to raise the material several times as unfortunately the smell of smoke got worse after three days they put up no smoking signs on all of the parasols It was also pointed out that the opposite side of the pool also had a no smoking area this was identified by two parasols with no smoking signs one of the parasols was occupied by the life guide If you drink coffee you won’t have a problem as all the bars serve coffee if you want tea not easily available you can get it at the pool bar otherwise it’s only at the Thea’s coffee shop in main reception area so if you want tea after your evening meal and want to watch the entertainment you have to go up stairs get your tea then go back down stairs you can’t get a cup of tea after 10pm as the coffee shop shuts although the hot water urn is on with hot water and tea bogs but no cups as every time time you need a cup you have to ask for one and unfortunately the staff in this area are not that friendly especially when it’s just 10 o clock and you ask for a cup it’s more or less slammed on the counter The pool snack bar services pancakes which are enjoyable and small biscuits again if you want a tea with these by the pool you will need to go upstairs to the Thea’s coffee shop as they don’t do teas the Thea’s coffee shop don’t do the delicious small biscuits The beach area is small and compact beware of the nipping fish in the water Food in the restaurant is really repedative same food everyday Had a problem with the air on leaking large puddle in room took three visits and three days to repair even was told that when maintenance went to the room there was no water on the floor even when I should them a picture on and on the third visit and I was in the room they took the ceiling panel down and found a pipe leaking The rooms are a good size and clean not so sure on the modern twist of part of the wall removed giving a clear view from the bedroom to the shower area Some of the staff are ok and will make conversation with you others just give you what you want and move onto something else The TUI blue guides don’t know what they do as when we arrived we were given a form to complete then told are room would not be available until 3 and walked off the gent on reception gave us all the information on restaurant times locations and some other points If you book a private transfer with TUI beware as we has a Toyota Land Cruiser pick use up which was very high off the ground to get into If this is your first visit to a TUI blue this is not the usual standard of this grade of hotel Unfortunately I for one will not be returning as the little touches that make the holiday are missing at this hotel
Second visit to this wonderful hotel and the staff remembered us from last September. We brought more friends with us this year and they were just as impressed 10 out of 10 for service, facilities, cleanliness and catering. Last year the only complaint was the wine, beer and cocktail offerings which really needed improving. Well it seems the reviews were taken on board and there is a definite improvement I'm happy to say. The staff are amazing and are a real credit to the the hotel and TUI. A shout out to the restaurant staff, Sied, Mehdi and Mustafer (apologies for misspelling your names) and the beechbar staff! Nothing is too much trouble they go out of their way to make your holiday wonderful. We will definitely be revisting next year!
Just returned after 9 days in room 108 on the ground floor with a lovely view. The best things about this hotel are the food and staff. There is so much choice in the restaurant and everything we had was good. We loved the 'snack' bar by the main pool. All of the food was lovely, especially the spaghetti marinara. We had a meal in the Culinarium restaurant which was fantastic. The setting outside, the musicians and the food were all amazing. Again, the staff were brilliant. The only things we thought could be improved on are the evening entertainment, the cleanliness of the room and the condition of the plastic wine glasses. Just little niggles and nothing that would stop us returning. All of the staff were brilliant but special shout out for Anis who works in the bar from 4pm and Saied who works in the restaurant...both really lovely people.
Some exemplary staff. Riaz? At the courtyard bars and Thea’s coffee shop kept our glasses full all day, going the extra mile to make sure we had a favourite smoothie without being asked. Mohamed Goulli, is possibly one of the best waiters I’ve ever met. He remembered us from last year and spent our entire week making sure all our dining needs were met. Drinks on the table without being asked, table service at lunchtime with our favourite puddings prepared. Made sure our evening meal was good fun, at Gala night Mohamed managed to have a dance with one of the guests to make their night great. My wife had a couple of spa visits, these were really good value and very relaxing, Samia and Afifa? Are wonderful girls and made her feel very special. Overall a fantastic week in the sun. The only constructive feedback we could find it that the courtyard pool is open until 6pm but at 4pm the staff start putting away sunbeds and setting up for the evening, this means it feels very uncomfortable to stay here, it is possible to go to the other pool or the beach. Perhaps more yoga and Pilates sessions could be on offer, there was one of each all week-most hotels offer this daily. And more aqua fit sessions, water volley ball/beach volley ball and beach football were on every day but aqua fit type activities were not. We will definitely be returning for our 3rd visit next year to top up the tans before the winter.
This hotel is amazing, location beach front, food impeccable, starr amazing and cleanliness wow... The spa is also outstanding with great staff especially Samia ..
Exceptional hotel, everything was amazing and probably the best we had among any previous all inclusive resorts we stayed at. First, the food is head and shoulders above any other resorts we had. Fresh crepes & fruits for breakfast, and absolutely amazing dishes & desserts for lunch and diner. The local specialities in particular were simply delicious. The staffs are all super friendly, enthusiastic & helpful with special mention to the waiters at the restaurants and the pool & beach. Finally, the entertainment was top drawer - Amazing dance shows, the type I would normally pay to see. Only negatives - Possibly the furnitures can feel a bit dated. Not necessarily the fault of the resort, but the beach is at times a bit dirty due to locals not taking away their trash - The pool however is spotless. Finally, the entertainment is loud and lasts till 11pm everyday, so having an early night can be difficult. All these however do not detract from the overwhelming positive experience. I couldn’t recommend this resort any more.
Highlights of the hotel stay - housekeeper RIM and Waiter Chafik. Rim was exceptional in her daily clean and tidy up of our room. She always greeted you with a friendly smile and asked if you needed anything. She always made sure we had plenty of water for the fridge. She treated us to a lovely flower and towel display a few times. A lovely lady. Chafik in the main restaurant is the best waiter you could ask for! He is super friendly, helpful, funny and very professional in his work. He has really made our stay here so much better. The daily trips to the restaurant can get a bit monotonous but he always made us smile and be glad to see him. He always makes you feel welcome, making sure your table has a little flower and remembers your name, drink etc. He really is the nicest guy at the hotel!! All the staff have been super nice but these 2 people have stood out to us on our trip here. The hotel is nice, rooms are spacious. Lovely view from our balcony looking out over the bottom pool and beach. Fridge in the room is adequate, enough room to keep your water cool. The pools are nice, we have used the relaxation pool as this suits us. Nice and chilled vibe, relaxing. Close to the toilets which are kept really Nice and clean all day. The pool guy is a sweetheart and gets your sun bed, table etc out for you each morning. There are no fights for sun beds up at this pool. The bottom pool I would describe as more ‘action’. The sunbeds here are more sardine style, busier, balls floating around the air and where all the activities take place. It wasn’t our scene so I can’t comment on what it was like to stay there. We go for a walk early to avoid the sun and sadly saw people putting there towels out down at the bottom pool around 5am,with most beds gone by the time we got back! The gym is adequate for a workout, it has 2 air con units that aren’t the most powerful so expect a sweaty workout if you go August time! They have a couple of treadmills which do incline, some bikes, old stepper, free weights, 2 benches and a cable Machine with a few different attachments. You can kind of make do! The snack bar is ok, bit of an everything and chips place! Great of you like chips! Saying that I think the main restaurant served chips everynight too! The main restaurant is very nice, cool, clean and set out well. The food was nice, lots to chooses from at all 3 meal times. Pastries and desserts were out of this world, amazing! They had evening entertainment on daily, it’s varied with acts, quiz, silent disco etc. It does get quite noisy if you are up in your room but doesn’t go on too late. The beach has plenty of sun loungers, we didn’t use them as we preferred the pool. You can’t go out very far in the sea, it’s cordoned off as there’s lots of activities with jet skis, para sailing etc. You can walk 2.5 miles to the left down the beach and about 1.5 miles to the right. The left was busy with more locals swimming early, all friendly. The right wasn’t as nice we found. There were some stray dogs but they were ok, just don’t go near them! The coffee shop is nice and cool, it provided a welcome break from the midday sun. They serve coffee ( not quite Nero’s!) but it’s ok. They have small rolls and cakes & fruit that are nice, these do run out. For us this hotel gave us everything we were looking for.
Wow what an amazing hotel, spotlessly clean. The food is delicious and there is plenty of variety. Good cocktail menu also. The staff really are a credit to this hotel and we will definitely return. Plenty of daily activities which you can book on the TUI blue app, wish we'd booked for 2 weeks.
This Was a great hotel .my 3rd time back But….This year seems it is catered for teens and family types , a lot of young 14/15 looking teens and families when it’s advertised as a Adults only hotel. You pay a premium price to stay here , the pool is like a play ground music blasting out , poll party’s . Balls flying everywhere more like a family hotel then a 4 star adults only hotel .
Just checking out after a week stay. Really enjoyed the whole trip, we have stayed in many 5 star resorts and really found this place beyond its current rating. The rooms are a bit small but really nice ocean view with large balcony. Check in could have been slicker, having to complete paper forms duplicating all our details just seems unnecessary. The food was excellent with a large selection every night with a complete dish option which was good if you didnt fancy the buffet shuffle...the Al a carte was excellent also with one free visit per 7 night stay. Drinks weren't branded but that is as advertised. Kiprinski vodka, kingston gin and old grog dark rum. There was no sparkling wine or cava which my wife missed as a mimosa in the afternoon is the go to. Everywhere was spotless, what really stood out though was the staff, pool guys and bar staff work non stop all day. Ahmed at the pool served us the entire week and he really didnt stop, buzzing about the pool and greeting everyone with a smile. Ala at the pool bar was the stand out staff member for us, he served the entire section all night and never once forgot a drink! Amazing! Entertainment was brilliant with well organised games throughout the day and evening, the whole team had a great energy and really made our holiday. Only things id say could be improved would be the wine and addition of sparkling wine to the options. We tipped throughout our stay and it was always warmly received although never expected by the staff. We would definitely return and thats down to the staff who made it for us.
This hotel could be incredible, but it is run ineffectively and let down by rude, unprofessional staff and a lack of proper management. • Staff & Service: Far too many staff are openly rude, especially if you don’t tip — which they clearly remember the next time you sit down to eat or drink. A handful of staff were excellent (notably the outdoor waiter at breakfast and lunch), but sadly they are the minority. • Cleanliness & Rooms: Despite booking a king-size bed, we were given two singles and told to wait until the next day to move. The second room didn’t even have proper bed linen — just a duvet used as a bottom sheet, which constantly slipped off, leaving us on the bare mattress protector. Twice, our room wasn’t cleaned at all due to “staff shortages.” • Facilities: • Gym closes at 7pm, rarely has towels, and reception ignored requests to refill them. • Pool towel shortages happened twice, with waits of up to 2 hours. • Food is cleared away from buffets 10–15 minutes before official closing time. • At 4:30pm, staff move sunbeds and demand guests vacate them for evening entertainment that doesn’t start until 9pm. • The pool bar barman near reception spends most of his time hiding on his phone, is reluctant to serve, and is consistently rude. • Management: The hotel feels leaderless. It is being run by staff with little accountability and no effective oversight. They are clearly accepting more bookings than they can handle, at the expense of service, standards, and guests’ experience. In summary: This hotel has huge potential, but until management addresses the severe staffing, service, and professionalism issues, it falls well below the standard expected of a 4+ star property. At present, I cannot recommend it.
First time in Tunisia and wow what an amazing place to stay. Spent 2 weeks here and wow, fantastic, amazing hotel/place so relaxing and chilled out everyone is so so friendly and helpful, hotel is so clean everyone is constantly cleaning, all the staff are friendly and helpful. Already booked for next year. Only a couple of little niggles. Which is in my long review. Restaurant, is a little small for the size of the hotel especially at busy times, could do with a variety of crackers for the cheese, food/cakes are amazing always something to eat even for picky eaters, again spotless. Special mention for Syed at lunch/dinner he was fantastic always welcoming, and mendhi (if spelt right) one of the breakfast waiters he was fantastic again always welcoming little touches with the flowers for you on your table outstanding. Mereum (again spelt right) fantastic pancakes in the morning so polite and always smiling. Pool area, there are two pools, the main one on the beach front and court yard pool. The court yard pool is the quiet area. Both are spotless, constantly cleaning, for me who has a fear of water and depth, the pool is perfect and warm, always sunbeds, me been an early riser I always came down about 6am to get sunbeds anyway. A little bad point the waiter didn’t want to know us on what he thought was our last day (as he had said that to us) we asked 5 times for a bottle of water didn’t get it, he didn’t even bother to come and bring our drinks which we asked for (don’t mind getting our own drinks) but just shows if you tip (which we had done) you get good service he was only bothered about the newcomers not the leavers which is bad service. Very disappointed in that. Rooms: we had room 314 it was spacious and fantastic view of the beach and pool especially waking up to the amazing sunrise, hope we get the same room next year, as already booked. Cleaners are amazing again so friendly. I disagree with one other review don’t tip the cleaners you get nothing in return who cleans your room, makes your bed and leaves your room spotless with flowers and fancy towels oh the cleaners do. So you do get something in return. Beach is fantastic sand is so soft again with a fear of water the beach is perfect so shallow, warm, clear water, even see the little fishes swimming by your feet. The unsung heros in this hotel are the gardeners and room cleaners especially the gardeners they keep this place immaculate and again are all so friendly. It’s them in the back ground that don’t get any tips. Entertainment: the entertainment team do a brilliant job round the main pool again so friendly always talk to you with no pressure evening entertainment hit and miss singers need to up their act and change their songs very boring loved the dance acts they were good. Love the pool party fantastic The waiter Anis in the upstairs bar what a star he is amazing and so funny loved him. Please pass on our thank you to all staff mentioned as they all do a fantastic job to make you feel so welcome See you all again next year love Vicky and Rob
Came out on the 11th August for 11 nights to celebrate my Birthday 🥳 the staff have been amazing 👍🏽☺️ always friendly and smiling and, this is my 3rd visit over the past 12 years and it still holds its romantic charm. I wish to give a huge compliment to the young chef Rami in the Cullinarium Resturant I had one of the best meals of my life .. just turned 62 so I’ve had a few lol, and this by far was one of them .. I specifically recommend the Rasberry and Pastachio Crème Brûlée 🍮 desert .. it was off the charts delicious, well done to this bright engaging young chef .. his smile is as lovely as his food .. and I’m sure he will have a bright future ahead of him. Coming to the end of my stay but hope to be back someday ..this place has my heart ♥️.
The pool is great a lot of activity with animators! For a small tip, you get any drinks you want at an express pace. However, I do not recommend tipping the room cleaning service because you will not get anything in return. In conclusion, I will add that Chafik from the restaurant is a wonderful man with whom you can feel at home, the other person is Ahmed from the pool bar! Thank you for the conversations in Polish Ibrahim! See you Greetings Sara and David from Poland
Best holiday ever … this was our 2nd year at this hotel & have booked again for next year. The staff are all amazing cannot do enough for you , food is delicious especially at the pool snack bar at lunchtime & those views are bliss. We go here and just switch off for 11 days , never any problems getting a bed in the morning, the boys at the pool are so helpful especially Beha , make you feel so welcome & so lovely they remembered us from the year before. Anis in the main lobby bar is the nicest guy you could ever meet, he is hilarious & makes you feel very special. My only downside would be the entertainment at night with this being our 2nd year seen the same singers singing the same songs, very repetitive, good singers but they could do with changing their set? Cannot recommend the hotel & staff enough, wish I was going back again this year
The hotel is great, friendly staff, small but clean rooms. The huge negative point: we booked as a family (parents + two student sons whom we only see for the holidays). The travel agent had reassured us that they would not separate families.. but this is exactly what happened . Fair enough they promised it would only lie for a few days and our sons would come in the room nextdoor .. but after two days we suddenly all had to move… supposedly to better rooms…. When you go as a family, the best rooms are the ones where you are together - especially when booking swim up rooms! Anyhow, things went from bad to worse - for which indeed there is no excuse but when you are made promises by the travel agent, you expect the hotel to deliver…. So huge disappointment; we won’t be back !
Well just waiting to return home and what a place, value for money, exceptional staff go out of their way to help, facilities spotless and food excellent anybody who can’t find something to eat must have a serious problem, travelled as 4 and had no issues finding sun beds at all, just a few staff to give exceptional mention to Anis in the main bar - entertainment value Baha at the quiet pool - what a guy non stop. Dave, Kim, Scott and Donna See you next year
Beautiful beach front location Attentive and welcoming staff Possibly one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The view from our balcony was simply beautiful. Room 602 directly overlooking the main pool and on to the beach. The sunrise was simply stunning. The hotel itself was constantly cleaned from dawn to dusk. The choices of food at the main restaurant for breakfast, dinner and tea (I’m northern lol) was so varied. You would have to be a seriously fussy eater to not find something. Some dishes cooked fresh in front of you. If you have a sweet tooth then you are in dessert heaven. Massive shout out to Mehdi, Ata and Mouhamed. Who looked after us all the time. We tipped them generously during our stay. These guys rely on tips to top up their very meagre wages. They will go that extra mile for you in appreciation. A lovely private beach with sun beds and parasols galore, the sea was warm and clear blue. Yes there’s seaweed but they clean it up at every opportunity. Two pools, the court pool is for those wanting peace and quiet. The main pool is where everything happens. The TUI animation team offering plenty of activities and they don’t push you if you decline. Both pools have a bar and the main pool has the snack bar restaurant but don’t be fooled, they are definitely not snacks they serve!! All in all a fantastic holiday.
This is a star above any other hotel I have been to in Tunisia and we are travelled. Food is the quality way above this price band, catering for vegan and gluten free. Rooms a bit small but totally functional. Staff amazing tho some are a bit “tippy” . Entertainment is again above price band and the team are so friendly and quickly learn if u not interested in physical activity! Drinks varied and high quality, various cocktails and the wine easily drinkable. Two pools one for relaxing one for activities. Beach very good with bar and lovely little booths at an extra cost.Plenty of beds , please don’t believe anything else! Please remember tho this an adult only NOT a saga holiday, there are young people who need catering for so there is a pool party , beach party if u that way inclined! Rep at hotel, non existent but that not hotel fault. Downside is the way they hover over beds from about three to clear them for the evening, this made us feel uncomfortable at times. All in all , top drawer
Where do we start, This was our honeymoon and 1st visit to Tunisia, could not have picked a better place, rooms perfect, staff all the way through never without a smile, our table was served by LOTFI (breakfast) and NIZAR (evening), both give amazing service with great attention to detail, as do the rest of the restaurant staff, met the head chef which was an honour. All in all we can understand why so many guests return as we eventually will. Thank you all for an amazing honeymoon. Paul & Sharon Isaac
We have had a lovely time spending quality time together after a very stressful few months. We met some lovely people who we have had some great chats and laughs with but we won't be returning to this hotel. It is a solid three stars no more no less and nowhere near the standards of other TUI Blu hotels we have stayed in. 'Faux fur coat no knickers' my husband labelled it Pros 1. Lovely beachfront location 2. Fantastic views from the balcony 3. Room kept spotless by the cleaner 4. Good spa treatments 5. Snack bar excellent 6. Anis in the reception bar, great service and the one place where wine was served in a proper wine glass when asked for Cons 1. Need to be up by 6.30 am to have any chance of a bed around the courtyard pool - our preferred location 2. Activity pool - very busy with beds reserved by 4 am. Drinks around this pool served in small children's plastic beakers containing no more than 150ml very difficult to stay hydrated 3. Plastic cups around both pools are cracked, chipped and worn need to be replaced - reminiscent of a cheap 2-star hotel 4. Service around the pools is non-existent unless you tip. I did bring it up with the TUI Blu team who promised improvements- there were none. If you tipped you got a proper glass and regular service. I'm happy to tip for good service like we had on two days of our 11-night stay but not to get service 5. The main restaurant is very busy at night, whenever we ate in there I had an upset tummy immediately afterwards, so we stuck to having a late lunch in the snack bar 6. Al la carte is a nice experience but the food had hot and cold spots I have never had octopus that you had to saw through with a knife and fork! No check back if everything was ok, we did leave a tip though for the staff 7. Entertainment at night mostly includes different dancers. (Hibi the singer on Monday night was excellent) 8. Rarely were we left with water in our room, so a trip down to get some often ensued 9. Make sure you take your own toiletries and some toilet rolls (we did) we have had a range of shower, conditioner, etc in other Tui Blu hotels, not this one! Their toilet roll is thin facial tissues in a wall dispenser., think an upgraded IZAL! Hand wash and shower foam are also in a dispenser all poor low low-budget quality
3rd visit to this 'little slice of paradise'. We have always had a good rapport with the staff here. We have always booked the swim up suite. It suits us for what we want/need. Room had always been clean and tidy plus the towel art that housekeeping do is 5* We love the fact it is a private beach.. so we feel safe with security between public beach and private. It has two pools.. quiet pool by main building and beach pool. We are beach people, so loungers aren't an issue with us.. they are plentiful. Food here.. we have never had an issue, long may that continue. Probiotics help whilst abroad. AI alcohol is decent enough Entertainment is good as well.. something for everyone. Activities through the day... plenty of these to keep you occupied if you so wish. Experiences.. romantic dinner on the beach, we do it every year. Restaurant caters for all food tolerances/allergies and if there is something you require.. reach out to the staff.
Just returned from this incredible hotel. The hotel throughout is modern and clean. The bedrooms are large with lots of storage. The staff are all incredible and a real credit to the hotel. The pools are large and clean. Sun loungers are available throughout the day and the staff have lots spare which they will happily put out for you. We spent days by the pool but also in the garden area…. Both are great! There’s also a large number of loungers on the beach… always lots free. The private beach is spotless and the sea is crystal clear. The food is outstanding. Lots of choice. Desserts are some of the best iv had. Tunisia night is exceptional…. Don’t miss it!!! Some cocktails need additional payment but there’s enough on the all inclusive to keep you going! My only suggestion would be to have a larger choice of wine. Overall a great holiday, highly recommend
We’ve just returned from a fantastic stay at TUI Blue Scheherazade, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best holidays we’ve had. The hotel is beautifully designed for adults – peaceful, stylish, and perfect for relaxing. Whether you’re by the pool, on the beach, or enjoying the spa, everything feels calm and considered. What really made this trip unforgettable, though, was the staff. Their warmth and dedication stood out from day one. Despite working tirelessly in the extreme heat, they always had smiles on their faces and a genuine eagerness to help – a true credit to the hotel. There are so many people who made our stay special, but two deserve a special mention: Mouhamed Golli was an absolute star, you'll find him in the snack bar in the day and restaurant in the evenings. Always pleasant, warm, and welcoming – he even created a special non-alcoholic drink just for me, which was such a thoughtful and personal touch. Wael the fitness master! He went above and beyond, taking the time to help my partner with his back issues by offering one-on-one sessions in the gym. His knowledge, support, and friendly attitude made a real difference and showed how much he genuinely cares about guests' wellbeing. TUI Blue Scheherazade is more than just a beautiful, adults-only getaway – it’s a place where the people truly make the experience unforgettable. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and can’t recommend it highly enough.
The most relaxing holiday, amazing hotel very clean all the staff are amazing very friendly nothing is too much trouble ,even cooking My wife a special gluten free meal which was amazing, a big thank you to the no 1 waiter in the whole hotel nizar always happy and friendly, we will definitely be back next year
WE HAD A GOOD TIME AT THE HOTEL ITS STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY IT HAS LOVELY BEACH PLENTY OF ACTIVITY'S going on all day evening entertainment the only bad thing i would say is we had a early flight so the night before we were due to leave we spoke to guest relations she promised us a box of food and fruit would be at reception on check out but when we asked they said they knew nothing about it
Firstly, the positives, the hotel is in a lovely location. Room was excellent. Clean and view was beautiful! Hotel clean throughout and great service in the main bar especially by Anis. Ground floor bar where entertainment was a hit and miss service. Good variety of food in Buffett restaurant and good service. Al A Carte was exceptional. Main pool area was good apart from the service from bar staff especially those delivering drinks to pool side and beach areas. Entertainment team improved once a certain person left! Entertainment in the evening was not great. Same thing just in a different format! Speaking to others it appeared to others that is you tipped you would get a better service - this should not be the case. Watch out for the flying parasols when the wind picks up in the afternoon. This hotel service could be so much better but having more mature staff.
11 day stay with superb weather and facilities within the hotel. Everything you need is within the hotel grounds and the staff are the best we have yet come across so friendly ,professional ,attentive and generally good cràic. Special shout out to Saeed in the middle restuarant and especially Aneesh the barman on the balcony who attend to us with immaculate and friendly service with a great sense of humour. Mohameed in the bar next to recpetion also gets a special mention. The boys in the pool restuarant work their socks off with a smile and horse up and down the beach keep the water flowing and the culinarium is a first class experience. The entertainment team are fab ,friendly professional and keep you occupied with an array of games and shows which were all first class. Best hotel we have been too so far made so by all the first class staff ... ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ
This hotel is unbelievably excellent, it is ultra clean everywhere, with staff even cleaning door handles & railings daily. The location is perfect, out the front are local shops, bars, bowling alley ect, & out the back is the amazing beach, which is connected to the hotels rear pool & bar area. The food is amazing, you'll be spoilt for choice breakfast, lunch & dinner. All the staff are extremely hard working, super friendly & helpful, they do everything they can to make sure you have the best holiday, many thanks to lovely Layla the housekeeper who is always a joy to start your day with. Lots of friendly security around, couldn't feel any safer. Variety of entertainment is great in & around the hotel. Thanks also Salah for many laughs at the bar.
Just returned from 2 weeks in tui blue Scheherazade. The hotel is lovely well presented and clean. The staff can’t do enough for you. The rooms that you stay in are on the small side but more than adequate well presented and everything works in them. Plenty of hangers in the cupboards we had twin beds which was okay the view from the room is wonderful overlooking the pool and the beach. The beach is very nice, lovely white sand. The games and entertainment around the pool area are very good lots of people taking part. When we was there, the pool was very warm. The snack restaurant is excellent lovely view overlooking the ocean and the staff are really really attentive. The main restaurant we had no problem with it. My wife is a vegetarian and we had no problem finding meals the cakes are out of this world Again the waiters truly excellent. Overall cannot fought this hotel only a couple of minor issues they are that if you don’t get up before 6 o’clock you will not get a sun lounger around the pool. You will find a small number of people reserving a large number of beds the management knows about this. It has been reported numerous times. I even did it myself but they won’t do anything. They have a 45 minute rule but no one takes any notice of it and they will not enforce it they know it is a problem but they just turn a blind eye. There will be no problem trying to get a sun lounger on the beach. Also the entertainment can be a bit repetitive you either get dancers or singers and I might add the singers are not great but. I would like to thank RIM the lady who cleaned our bedroom she was truly wonderful and couldn’t do enough for us.
What can I say, this adult only hotel was fabulous , the food was excellent and always so much choice, the staff in the restaurants couldn’t do enough for you, always helpful, cheerful and happy At this point a special shout out for Mouhamed, he was just great, even got me dancing with him in the restaurant , he made it such fun The Al a carte meal which you can book once a week was outstanding and such a lovely setting outside Room - well again this was fabulous, we had a suite and on arrival due to lateness we were left a lovely meal in our room, . The size of the room, we just couldn’t believe, we were so impressed and so clean, and such a lovely view of the pool and the beach Entertainment was good, had such fun at the silent disco, and had some pretty good acts throughout the whole stay, Certainly lived up to a TUI blue standard and we would go there again
Well what can we say. Returned to this hotel after visiting last year . We were well impressed with the hotel so decided to go back . We took some friends with us who we had met two years ago at a different adult only hotel in Tunisia. They loved it as much as we do and we are going back again in may next year. Cannot recommend this hotel enough From chaffi and Abdulhak are waiters in the restaurant. To Anise in the lobby bar .The reception staff pool staff our friend in the shop. Every member of this hotel are a credit to the hotel.everything is first class from the food to drinks and entertainment. We love it that much we have decided to go back in October as can't wait till next may. This time taking some other friends with us as we keep going on about it they want to go. We feel like family at this hotel.well done everyone see you in October
OVERVIEW.. Very nice hotel with hard working staff and in Tunisian standards this is top quality but within this review we did have some very minor niggles. TUI REP.. Very poor hotel rep who was hard to track down.. The welcome meeting was the worst we've had with very little information given during his five minute presentation. He expected us to book trips on the app but he did not give any details of the trips and the app often crashed so we never booked any trips. ENTERTAINMENT TEAM. Very hard working team providing around the clock entertainment. My only niggle was that they expected you to book most of the activities on the hotel app which was often slow or not working. ROOM. Good size despite comments they are small. Our 3rd floor balcony had nice views of the sea and the room had everything you needed. Little niggles..air conditioning only had full power or off with no middle settings working.. very often we had no bottled water left so made several visits to the bar to get some.. BAR. Nice selection of drinks and Anis from the lobby bar is very funny and will look after you so don't be afraid to have a laugh with him. The pool bar equally serves you well during the day and the pool waiters will bring drinks to your sunbeds. Little niggles were that they often ran out of cups so had to collect more to wash before serving us, and one afternoon they had run out of gin. FOOD. Can't fault the variety of food available and all good quality with something for everyone. The snack bar near the beach also had a top quality menu and mohammad who works at the snack bar during the day and in the main restaurant in the evening was a superstar and the best worker in the whole hotel. He really did make our holiday with his kindness and friendly nature. The only niggle here was lack of small spoons and waiters often walking around collecting used spoons to wash and reuse but leaving the dirty plate on the table. (not mohammad) BEACH. Very nice looking beach right at the hotel with fine white sand and plenty of sunbeds all day. My niggle here is that the hotel section of the sea is roped and isn't very deep and the sea also had lots of jellyfish, some washed up on the sand. We went in once and didn't use the sea again because of this. CONCLUSION. Very nice visit with a cool spacious room and well looked after by staff. Would definitely recommend it to friends visiting Tunisia but despite being a hotel people come to year after year we would probably look at other hotel options before committing to this one again but never say never..
Me and my wife returned from our holiday at the TUI Scheherazade last week. One of the biggest compliments is that after two weeks we didn't want to come home. We loved it here. The staff at the hotel are the highest of highlights. Everyone is so friendly and make the holiday all the more enjoyable. My wife is vegan and had the most choice of food she has had at a hotel before even down to having cake and other dessert choices. There is a vegan corner which had 3/4 options at meal times including protein as well as other things she could have from other areas. For the rest of us meat eaters, there is plentiful options with lots of local cuisine and so much choice. I think I put on about a stone over the 2 weeks! We had no problems getting a table, no matter what time we went for dinner. We preferred going at 7 when the restaurant opened and obviously have no problem then but even when we went at 7.30, 8 o'clock or later we got a table easily. The waiters in the restaurant are all amazingly friendly and will chat when they have a chance. The bars in the hotel are easy to get drinks from. No queues at the bars because the drinks are brought to you and the waiters always going around asking people if they want anything - even if you're on the sun loungers at the beach. The service really is amazing! The snack restaurant by the pool even has waiter service and the food is great there too. The rooms are lovely, cleaned every day and every room in the hotel has a sea view. You get a big bottle of water when you check in and another couple every 2-3 days though you can also ask for big bottles at the bars and the staff will happily sort those out for you. A couple of days we managed to get two sunbeds by the pool mostly with a parasol. That would be going down just before 9. Most would have no one on them but towels which would be there for quite some time before anyone showed up. However, the beach is right next to the main pool and there were always plenty of sunbeds and parasols there. If you didn't use the beach then you miss out on the lovely soft, powdery sand beach! The pool waiters would still bring drinks to everyone on the beach sunbeds too! There was loads of entertainment on the go with different events on during the day and the evening entertainment was 2 hours from 9pm every night around the courtyard pool. If you turned up by 9 then you always got a table. After that then you may not until someone left but generally everyone got somewhere. The waiters come and go between the tables with drinks, somehow remembering everyone's order when they may be covering 15 tables each! And you didn't have to wait long, sometimes having your next drink turning up just as you finish your last one! The temperature was a bit too hot for us, hotter than we thought it would be from the brochure info and we're fair skinned. We were out of the sun by midday, usually for a pre lunch beer sitting outside Thea's coffee bar! We would love to come again but would come when it's cooler than the 34-38 degree shade temperature we had for the last 2 weeks of June. As you can tell from the review, we loved it at the hotel and the staff are a complete and utter credit to the hotel and make the holiday that more extra special. Thank you so much for making our stay so wonderful. We look forward to coming back again in a bit cooler temperatures 🙂
