Reviewed Sep 18, 2026The owners were super kind; they greeted me every morning and afternoon whenever I saw them. They offered to help with my luggage when I arrived and left. The hotel is in a very convenient location just on the opposite side of the station from Sunshine City, so I could get to everything I wanted to do and more every day with little walking. The coin laundry next door was also very convenient and allowed me to do my laundry in the early morning hours after a day of exploring. The room was the perfect size; I found it had a little more room than I anticipated compared to previous chain hotels in which I have stayed, so I never felt suffocated. If I ever decide to stay in the Ikebukuro area again, I would definitely choose to stay here.

Reviewed Sep 17, 2026일단 가성비가 좋아요 사실 가격 보고 후기 괜찮아서 냅다 예약했는데 이케부쿠로에서 이쪽은 유흥가 때문에 피하는게 좋다고 하는걸 뒤늦게 봤어요 여자 혼자서 가는거라 솔직히 걱정하면서 갔는데 생각보다 괜찮았어요 역에서 막 나왔을 때는 그런 가게들이 많은데 역 부근만 지나고 숙소 근처는 조용하고 일반 주거지라서 괜찮았어요 사장님 직원분도 친절하고 다음에도 혼자 근처에 갈일이 생긴다면 또 와도 좋겠다고 생각했어요

鍵がカードキーだったら良かったのに、と思いますが他は特に不満はないです。 エレベーターがないのはしょうがないので。

Reviewed Sep 5, 2026부부 두분이서 운영하시는 호텔 같은데, 두분 다 매우 친절하셨습니다. 여유가 있는 경우 얼리 체크인도 해주셔서 너무 편했습니다. 무엇보다 건물 외관에 비해 내부가 너무너무 깨끗해서 마음에 들었습니다. 비슷한 가격대의 호텔중에 에어컨 청소가 전혀 안돼있어서 날개 안에 먼지나 곰팡이가 적나라하게 보이는 곳도 많은데, 여긴 그런 문제도 없었고, 화장실도 구석까지 매우 깨끗했습니다. 이건 개인적인 선호도인데, 카펫 바닥은 청소하기 어려운 편인지라 위생면에서 신경쓰일때가 있는데, 여긴 마룻바닥처럼 생긴 장판이라, 깨끗한게 눈에 보였고, 한국인인지라 그냥 집 같아서 마음이 편했습니다. 마지막으로 그동안 도쿄에서 묵은 호텔중에 제일 넓어서 좋았습니다. 캐리어 펼쳐놔도 그 옆에 제가 누울 수 있을 정도의 공간이 남습니다. 좁은 호텔 답답해하시고 짐 펼쳐놓고 사는게 편하신 분들께 추천드립니다. 다시 방문 할 의사 있습니다. (약간의 팁인데, 호텔 맞은편에 있는 마트의 물이나 간식 같은게 싸서 자주 갔습니다)
엘레베이터가 없긴 한데 남자 사장님이 체크인때도 체크아웃때도 직접 옮겨다 주셔서 불편한 점은 없었습니다. 이건 호텔 문제는 전혀 아니긴 한데, 이케부쿠로 서쪽 구역이 유독 밤이 되면 역 근처에 메이드 카페? 호스트바? 아무튼 그런 접객 하는 사람들이 많더라고요... 외국인인거 티 나면 말 안걸어서 괜찮긴 한데, 일본에 처음 오시거나, 혼자 오시는 여성분들은 아예 다른 구역을 알아보시길 추천드립니다... 호텔 주변은 그냥 주택가 느낌이라 괜찮긴 합니다. 전 일본 오래 살았어서 그냥저냥 다닐만 했습니다.

Perfect location, you're right in the heart of Ikebukuro, walking distance to restaurants, shops, supermarket and etc... Room was fantastic, exactly what I needed, quite spacious for only myself! Nothing to complain! Highly recommend this place to a single person or a couple! Walking distance to the station, it's a nice walk. Also there's a laundry right downstairs!
Everything was perfect for me! Nothing to complain! Some people might not like to carry the suitcase upstairs, just be aware of it, but it's only 1 or 2 floors up. It wasn't a big deal for me. Great accommodation!

Lavatrice a gettoni accanto all’entrata dell hotel. konbini e supermercato davanti alla struttura. Mi sono sentito a casa, consiglio vivamente di pernottare qua. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

Reviewed Aug 5, 2026我住的单人间，对solotrip很友好，酒店很干净，离池袋站西口比较近，酒店对面就是罗森，非常方便。店家服务态度非常好，虽然没有电梯，但是每次都帮我拎箱子。
空调上下扫风的时候有叶片刮蹭的杂音，建议把风向固定，不要扫风。

No es el hotel mas moderno del mundo pero es confortable.Hay una lavanderia de pago en la planta baja. La persona responsable del hotel es muy amable y servicial, siempre dispuesta a ayudar. Hace 2 años estuvimos , hemos repetido y no nos ha defraudado. Calidad precio es perfecto. Repetiré si duda en un futuro

Reviewed Jun 21, 2026This is my third time to stay at Hatoya Hotel. It's a small hotel, but very comfortable and neat. The location is accessible to Ikebukuro station and there are convenient stores and a grocery store nearby. The hosts are always friendly and accommodating. Although the hotel doesn't have elevators, the host has always waited for my check-in and check-out to help me with my luggage. They are also very accommodating with baggage storage, whether it's just for a few hours, or in my case, a whole month while I travelled in Asia.
Nothing to dislike!

Reviewed Jun 19, 2026Second séjour au Hatoya Hotel, toujours un rapport qualité/prix excellentissime, avec ses tarifs modiques à une distance de 8mn à pied de la très pratique gare d'Ikebukuro. Quartier également lui-même très animé ! Couple de propriétaire très charmants et à l'écoute. Chambres avec pas mal de place au sol, ce qui a Tokyo reste une rareté. Le prix bas pourrait sembler cacher un loup mais il n'en est rien !
Certaines chambres n'ont pas vraiment accès à la lumière de l'extérieur, donc à voir si cela vous pose souci !

Reviewed Jun 7, 2026Staff is welcoming, speaks decent english and helped to carry my bag to the room (there is no elevator). Room was spacious enough to place my stuff around. The bed and pillow were soft and comfy. Bathroom is on the smaller side, but very clean and hot water is always available. There were 2 sliding windows, both can be fully opened, one had an insect net installed, but don't expect a view. Both windows are equipped with thick curtains that can effectively darken the room. My non-smoking room was next to the dedicated smokers room but i didn't notice any bad smells in my room, so it works well. The location is decent, there are no loud street noises, a Lawson is right on the other side of the street and the station is a short 10min walk away.

建物は年季が入ってるので入口が暗いです フロントもご主人様が居ないときがありますが 用事があれば電話する感じです

Reviewed May 13, 2026No nonsense hotel right in Ikebukuro, walking distance from the subway, surrounded by izakaya's, various bars, shopping malls and anything you can think of! Owner was very friendly always greeting each morning with a smile. Rooms are basic but all I needed to sleep and wash while exploring Tokyo. Beds super comfortable, very quiet location and excellent shower pressure (might have been the highlight 😄) and joined to a coin laundry. Perfect budget hotel. Highly recommend 👍

Reviewed Apr 24, 2026スタッフさんの親切さ、丁寧さが抜群でした。 年数の経った少し古めのホテルでしたが、スタッフさんがどんな不安にも応えてくださり、安心して宿泊できました。室内はキレイにリメイクされ、快適でした。コンビニがホテル前にあり便利でした。
自分で持って行けば良いことなのですが、アメニティで女性用化粧水とクリームが欲しかったなと。ハンドバッグ1つでの宿泊だったので焦りました。自身の普段使用しているものを好む方もいらっしゃるので、フロントで話せば出してもらえる等の程度で。

Reviewed Apr 17, 2026Das Personal war mehr als nur freundlich und hilfsbereit! Wir sind leider aufgrund von Flugverspätung später gelandet / am Hotel angekommen als geplant aber die Inhaber sind uns bestmöglich entgegengekommen, um den späten Check-In noch zu ermöglichen. Die Lage ist super, nicht im Stadtinneren sondern in einer ruhigeren Umgebung, die man nach langen/lauten Tagen braucht um am Abend abzuschalten. Das Hotel ist 5-7 min von der JR Line zu Fuß entfernt und demnach perfekt angebunden. Man ist in 10-15 min in Shinjuku und Shibuya, aber selbst in die anderen Stadtteile kommt man schnell. Das Zimmer ist für japanische Verhältnisse besonders groß und die Betten sehr bequem! Gegenüber vom Hotel befindet sich ein Lawson und direkt daneben ein Supermarkt, 3 min vom Hotel ein 7-Eleven und Family Mart, also alles was man braucht. Preis-Leistung ist einfach nur top, dass die Inhaber so freundlich und hilfsbereit waren, hat das alles nur getoppt. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder hier buchen, wenn es mal wieder nach Japan geht.

Reviewed Apr 7, 2026Muy buena ubicación, la habitación muy correcta el baño, la medida de la habitación todo bien. Los caseros son muy majos y hablan inglés. La ubicación un 10 porque al ser Ikebukuro no hay mucho turista y puedes tener una buena experiencia japonesa y los precios de la zona son Excelentes.
Yo estaba en la planta 1 y se escuchaban bastante los coches y ambulancias por la noche.

There’s nothing I don’t like about this hotel, it’s just they don’t have a elevator, but their staff are so nice that they offer help every time for taking my luggage up and down. Btw I gave 5stars for the location isn’t because it’s so close to the station(well it’s not too close but in a walkable distance), it’s bcoz there are so many convenience stores, supermarkets, and restaurants around

Reviewed Mar 17, 2026房間舒適，浴缸很大🥰我身高很高也泡得超級滿足！ 距離池袋站很近（徒步7~10分左右）；旅館正對面就有LAWSON，超級方便！ - お部屋は快適で、バスタブも広々🥰背の高い私でもたっぷり浸かって大満足でした！ 池袋駅からもとても近く（徒歩7～10分くらい）、ホテルの真向かいにはローソンがあって、超便利！
