Perfect location and great staff

Really nice room and decoration and the bathroom was lovely.

It was a little more expensive than other properties in the area.

Breakfast was really good with a wide variety of starters on offer. Wheaten bread in particular was so tasty. Our evening meal was also very good, my husband’s steak cooked to perfection. Throughout our stay, the staff were friendly and anxious to please. The hotel has a warm ambience, which we felt as soon as we arrived.

We couldn’t fault our stay in any way.

Location was excellent, staff were very friendly and helpful, dinner was excellent, good menu , Guinness was excellent, rooms clean and tidy , breakfast was excellent. We will definitely be back

The staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was delicious.

The breakfast was poor, could smell the oil used when we entered dining room, like smell of oil used in a chippan. Looked like Eggs has oil poured over them Mushrooms were very overdone looked like been used for a few days, bacon was the same, and tomatoes, Nothing Fresh. Fruit very basic and yogurt, no crosiants or extra breads, not an enjoyable breakfast at all.

We paid 200.00 euros midweek for a room, the hotel was not busy and we were put in a room with a window to the parking lot, common enough I'm sure. room not up to standard at all for this price, room cold, no glasses for water, informed bathroom water ok to drink, would of been better at home, pay to go away for the hotel experience this certainly was awful, scraped furniture, decor and paint poor, went to take a shower, dripple of water. This is not what we would expect from an hotel at this rate. Totally disappointed in our experience. Told staff on counter and think he was surprised shower not working or maybe noone bother to say before, he came back with a key to another room which shower worked, was alot better. I will be asking booking.com for a credit as we were just I think put in worst room in hotel as it was booked via booking.com possibly they have so many rooms allocated and that's how the hotel organising those stays as no way would I expect to pay this amount of money for what we got, Staff ok noone really cared on checkout as busy getting front area ready for a wedding. Desk receptionist did even look up to say good morning on check to ask how was your stay and she didn't know we had to be changed rooms

Our dinner in the evening in the dining room was just delicious. The staff were lovely and very efficient and food was very tasty.

Upon exiting the lift to go to our room the carpet on the corridor was held down with duct tape. Glasses and bottles were on the corridor from other rooms and were not lifted until evening time. Henry hoover was displayed all day. Our sink in the bathroom protruded that far out the door into and out of the bathroom just about made it. The design of this may need to be re-designed. Just the wee things may need brushing up on.

A nice hotel and pleasant staff. We enjoyed our stay. The town is nicely situated close to a beach nearby, and just about half an hour away in the car from Culdaff beach. Hotel room was very spacious (we were upgraded to the suite) which was nice. Bathroom was lovely, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was also lovely.

The hotel advertises a Spa, and we only found out upon arrival that it was closed with very little explanation as to why, which I found disappointing. As a previous review pointed out, this is the main selling point in the advertisement and to find out it was closed upon arrival, felt a bit misleading. Additionally, the TV wasn't working in the bedroom. It kept asking for a password to tune the stations. This would have been fine, as there is a phone to call reception, but they don't seem to ever answer the phone. Rang multiple times to no answer. Went down to reception, no-one there. But the staff were very nice.

Loved location, staff welcoming and friendly. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Food good- breakfast and good menu for evening. Only disappointment was that there were no spa facilities available- and that is the main advertising on hotel booking page! It is classed as a Boutique Hotel??

We requested coffee and sandwiches for lunch ,apparently sandwiches were not on menu . We went to Ballyliffen Lodge where we had a lovely sandwich of our choosing Sat out in the lovely garden and enjoyed the sunshine . Also would have liked somewhere to sit outside apart from the smokers bench .

Had such a lovely stay at the hotel, staff are so friendly, especially Sharon who went above and beyond to accommodate us. A credit to the hotel. Thank you so much Sharon.

The rooms was very small and in my opinion a shower over a bath is so dangerous and it was only a head so I always feel not washed properly especially my hair and at 210 euro per night it was expensive..the TV in the room did not work properly either

Location outside hotel was brilliant only 20 minute walk to beach

I rang the hotel prior to attending to ask about spa services but when asking what was avaliable I found call handler quite abrupt and didn’t actually answer the questions I was asking. This led to me and partner not able to use any facilities which we initially booked this for. Additionally, the room we were given was very out of date, issues with TV working and wifi didn’t work in room with limited 5G. Food was okay- expensive for what it was. Also no one advised us of breakfast times on reception on check in. Only that I checked my email after I seen breakfast times but received no updates or reminders from staff like you usually would when checking into a hotel, the only thing offered was lukewarm porridge in a slow cooker but two young girls offered to make us toast which was nice. We are due to get married in a few weeks and had booked for a last minute getaway and feel like we had completely wasted our money. Would not recommend to guests travelling for our wedding to stay or others in general.
