The Yama Hotel Phuket

Everything was exceptional, staff it was amazing and very kind with my family specially with my daughter. Also, breakfast was so good. Many options per day, delicious and generous portions. Our experience was 10/10

The room was large with a medium mattress bed that was very comfortable. WiFi was excellent and the bathroom and toilet was separate which prevented waiting for use. The bathroom contained A lovely bath with a shower head separate to the shower which had excellent power and fixed temperature during use. The balcony was lovely with a pool and seaview from floor 5. Floor 6 would have provided a better seaview. The staff were very professional and extremely friendly. The receptionist Spy was always helpful and willing to engage in western banter.

Taxis were required to get to Kata beach after 6pm which were expensive compared to other parts of Thailand. The hotel happy hour was an hour at two different times of the day. The cocktails were two for one but you had to have the same cocktail as the second drink. There should have been some flexibility around this.

Para ir a Kata Beach hay que coger Bolt o Grab. Aunque el propio hotel pone taxi gratuito, que baja y sube con cierro horario, lo cual se agradece, pero te condiciona por los horarios.

Very nice and cooperative staff, they even celebrated my birthday.. rooms were super clean I will highly recommend this hotel , it was in quite place and would love to come back to Yama hotel

The hotel is lovely, the rooms are always clean and the facilities are great. The best part about the hotel is definitely the staff, they were so great with all the kids and really made our stay very enjoyable. Would definitely return again.

We stayed at the Yama Hotel for 3 days. I have to say that, besides the very friendly staff, the hotel itself was not quite what I expected. When you first enter the hotel, it looks beautiful, modern and welcoming. Unfortunately, the rooms and especially the pool did not really reflect that same feeling. Overall, I found the hotel a bit outdated.

We were initially assigned a room in a lower corner building. The room was very dark and had a bit of a moldy feeling. The furniture was also quite outdated and, for us, it simply wasn’t very comfortable. However, I have to give credit to the staff. When I requested a different room, they were incredibly friendly and arranged a new room for us immediately. Our second room was on the 4th floor and was much better. It was clean, which is always very important to us, and it was perfectly fine for three people. It just wasn’t the most comfortable room for us, but that is partly a matter of personal preference. I do think the first room needs more attention. It may have felt even more neglected because of the lack of natural light, but I would strongly recommend taking a closer look at the cleanliness and maintenance of these rooms. In particular, the ceiling, corners, kitchen cabinets and windows could use some attention. Some of these things were quite shocking to see. The breakfast was okay, with a reasonable variety of hot and cold dishes. The orange juice, however, was disappointing. The breakfast staff were definitely a highlight! Special thanks to Pui, Golf and the lovely lady making the eggs. Thank you for always greeting us with a smile! One small thing that was disappointing: I lost my hotel key card during a hectic day and was charged 300 baht for a replacement. I understand that there may be a charge, but 300 baht felt quite excessive. Overall, we had a nice stay, mainly because of the friendly and helpful staff. However, for us, three days was enough. The hotel has a lot of potential, especially because of its beautiful entrance and overall concept, but I think some of the rooms and facilities could really benefit from updating and better maintenance.

Located up in the mountains it is just minutes away from the city, yet it is beautiful, peaceful and quiet. The food at their restaurant is absolutely amazing, we tried almost everything and were never disappointed. Service is also very good specially Tong at the reception, and the staff at the restaurant ( forgot the name of the lady with short hair).

The wash basin was inside the room so if one hd to waah their hands or use the wash basin one would end up waking/ disturbing their partner.

地理位置在山上，如果步行其实非常不方便，打车倒是能打到酒店门口。但是出门在外走上来一个山坡又黑，非常危险。另外，我在酒店遗失了我所有装饰品的包(贵重首饰)，注意我翻遍了整个房间。给了他们一上午的时间处理，如果不能处理好就报警。后面所有什么经理主管和我一起去房间说帮忙找，结果找到了就很神奇。我和同行者都难以置信，因为我们在酒店翻了一上午都没找到，为了不耽误行程说报警解决结果自己就出来了，懂得都懂。酒店虽然游泳但是开放时间其实不长，房间说带泳池其实就是对着泳池的，并不是你自己房间独立能游的类型。希望大家慎重入住，毕竟丢东西这件事很恶心。

We had a wonderful stay at The Yama Hotel Phuket. The hotel is very clean and well maintained, with beautiful views and a fantastic pool area. The beach shuttle service was especially convenient and made getting to Kata Beach easy. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Yama Hotel Phuket, and the hospitality was generally good. Staff members like Pui and Aom were especially friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made my stay more enjoyable. However, there are a few areas that need improvement. First, I noticed some cleanliness issues. The toilet could have been cleaned more thoroughly, and on some days it seemed that the bedsheets were not changed. I also had an issue with the swimming pool hot water. Throughout most of my stay, the hot water worked perfectly. However, on the last day, I asked a staff member named Pich to turn it on because the water was cold. He told me it was due to the weather changing, but I don’t think that was a reasonable explanation since pool water is heated by a heater, not by the weather. I would have appreciated a clearer and more honest response. Another disappointing experience happened during check-out at around 7:30 a.m. A female staff member told me that one KitKat was missing from the minibar. It wasn’t the question itself that bothered me, but the way she spoke to me felt rude and accusatory. During my stay, I spent around THB 8,000 on food and beverages at the hotel, so it was disappointing to be treated that way over a single chocolate. In any case, there was no KitKat in my room. Despite these issues, I had a pleasant stay overall. The hotel has a nice atmosphere, and most of the staff were kind and professional. I hope the management pays more attention to housekeeping standards, staff communication, and customer service during check-out, as these improvements would make the guest experience even better.

Hotelli oli hieno ja siisti. Mukava henkilökunta ja altaalta löytyi aina tilaa. Hyvä aamiainen ja allasbaarin tarjonta hyvää. Myös kaikki ruoka mitä tilasimme oli hyvää.

Hotellin sijainti ei ole paras, jos haluaa liikkua kävellen. Hotelli sijaitsee vilkkaan tien lähellä, jonka joutuu ylittämään aina, jos haluaa kävellä rantaa kohti. Hotellin järjestämä rantakuljetus oli hyvä, mutta usein ruuhkainen.

L’hôtel n’est pas à 5 mins de la plage à pieds mais en voiture. Il y a des shuttles gratuits organisé par l’hôtel à certaines heures. Sinon en taxi/tuktuk compter 200/300 baht par voyage

The location is a bit far out so would need a taxi to go into the main town but it’s not very expensive. Also the staff were lovely when we arrived very welcoming but when we were leaving our taxi was waiting for us with the meter on and the hotel staff wouldn’t let us leave until they checked our room which I had told them was perfect

Breakfast was really good and the manager treated us well. Rooms are also cozy. They also provide a shuttle and a towel for the beach which was very nice. The bed was very comfortable.

Location is far from everything. It is only possible to move by taxi. Also during check-out the staff's behavior was unpleasant who requested 0.80$ for snack. Although I asked them to remove everything from mini bar.

Zwembad is uitstekend voor als je baantjes wil trekken. Lang genoeg en het is schoon en mooi. Ontbijt is met name Thais, maar er zijn ook brood, kaas en worstjes. Koffie uit de machine is goed genoeg. Personeel is heel vriendelijk. Ze hebben ook luggage service als je bij het uitchecken je koffers even bij het hotel wil achterlaten. Gym heeft voldoende apparaten en gewichten voor een goede workout. De kamerindeling en meubilair zijn heel handig. Toilet en douche/bad zijn gescheiden en de wastafel is ook daarvan gescheiden. Een hele lange tafelblad is echt super handig. En locatie is vlakbij Kata beach met winkels en restaurants.

Eigenlijk niets. Alleen als je terugloopt naar het hotel van de winkelstraten in de buurt, dan moet je wel een flinke helling omhoog lopen bij het hotel. Maar het is goed voor je conditie :)

Un hôtel de standing, j'ai adoré et je ferai bien un autre séjour!! Bon rapport qualité prix. Chambre au top!! Personnel gentil surtout au restaurant. Très bon petit déjeuner ,copieux. Nous avons mangé pour nos deux soirée au resto également on a pas été déçus. Piscine super avec jaccuzzi les photos relatent bien l'hotel!!

Booked this hotel last minute at night and ended up staying for 9 nights. Great hotel and staff just outside the hustle and bustle of Kata so was quiet at night. Nice soft bed and clean room. Would stay again no probs.

The Yama hotel has amazing staff who truly go above and beyond are very kind and helpful. The pool area is clean, breakfast is good, and both the gym and spa are well equipped. Rooms are tidy and they match the photos on their website.

The air conditioners need cleaning. They seemed a little moldy, which made the rooms smell a bit damp.

Everything was perfect, the room, the pool, the bar, the view and the staff!! Looking forward to come back someday 😊

The hotel is CLEAN, room is massive, balcony with an amazing view. The staffs are extraordinary sweet, humble with such a positive energy. They've made my short stay one of the best stay in Thailand.

Location. A little bit far from Patong or Old Town Phuket but they do offer free shuttle to/from the hotel to/from Kata beach.

Хорошая гостиница. Отличные завтраки большой выбор, овощи, фрукты, выпечка, кофе, соки. Дети не оставались голодными. Каждый день меняют полотенца. Можно взять дополнительное полотенце. Меняют постельное белье. Есть бесплатный трансфер до пляжа и обратно, но надо записываться. Так же есть ресторан, где всегда можно вкусно поесть. Цены не высокие. Есть спа, можно сходить на массаж. И есть тренажёрный зал. Для малышей есть детская комната.

Немного странные стены в ванной, выглядит как неоконченый ремонт. Ну это мелочи. Гостиница находится на возвышенности, пешком не комфортно по жаре идти. Но с учётом, что есть бесплатный трансфер, это не проблема.

Świetny pobyt, piękny nowy hotel, troszkę daleko od plaży aczkolwiek jest bezpłatny shuttle bus także nie było problemu, cudny basen z jacuzzi, miła obsługa i bardzo dobre drinki i najważniejsze: spokój i cisza, bardzo dobry resort.

Podłoga w pokoju nie była odpowiednio czysta – chodzenie boso powodowało szybkie brudzenie stóp poza tym pokój był bardzo czysty.

Pool was nice. Jacuzzi could have been hotter

Location is not that great. The shuttle to the beach is every 2 hrs and not very convenient. Not walkable to the beach due to the heat and distance. The last shuttle is very early and a little before sunset. I wish it was a bit later and the shuttle run more frequently. I asked them to fill my water bottle at the restaurant and they refused. Also I order food in my room the day before my departure and I did not feel good afterwards. It was expensive for the amount of food. I told them when checking out that I had stomachache from the food and they still charged me the full amount. I would not stay there again. I will look for a place near the beach. Kata beach is really nice but very crowded and you have to rent beach chairs. The hotel is also 30min bike ride from the hotel. One hour from the airport.

Couldn’t smoke at all on the balcony.. I think that should be stated when purchasing as you can be fined! Have to go to a smoking area at the end of the carpark which isn’t really what you want on holiday. If you like to walk on holiday.. the walk from the hotel to beach isn’t great.. very hard to cross the extremely chaotic road outside

Hotel moderno e com uma ampla área de lazer, com piscina grande, jacuzzis grandes e aquecidas, academia completa, spa… Quarto muito amplo e bem equipado. Limpeza estava ótima. Forneciam roupão e chinelo de cortesia. Acomodação conta com transfer gratuito para praia de Kata. Funcionários muito gentis e simpáticos, em especial Joke e Tong.

Apenas para alertar que a acomodação fica um pouco afastada do centro turístico, mas foi excelente para mim, sendo silenciosa e imersa na natureza. Fácil acesso com aplicativos de transporte.

Highly recommend. Clean and luxurious. Staff were helpful and it was easy for transfer busses and taxi’s to find. Only about a 5 minute drive or so from the town centre.

My son loves the pool and bed

The bathroom lights are a little too dim, the sink area should have slightly brighter light and we can see maintainence walking through the balcony while taking a shower as the glass door was only quarter frosted. Small roaches were seen as well coming out from the side of the bed and near the tv console area. Hotel management should invest on having aircon after reception area as we all know phuket’s weather is crazy at times!

Le personnel est incroyable. Le petit déjeuner est très très bien avec beaucoup de choix. On a seulement trouvé le lit un peu dur et l'oreiller mémoire de forme disponible à l'accueil à amélioré mes nuits alors merci pour cela.
