Reviewed Sep 17, 2026This felt like a first-class, European hotel from the moment I arrived. The staff were attentive and my room was lovely, with a peaceful view. Breakfast did not disappoint: eggs perfectly poached and bacon crisp and fresh. Seriously - if you have the chance to stay here, you must stay. I can't imagine returning to the area and booking elsewhere.

I grew up a USC fan so it was tough staying here in that regard. No real complaints. This is a cashless hotel so bring your credit card for everything.

Reviewed Aug 7, 2026Fabulous facility! Clean, contemporary, spacious and comfortable rooms. Safe area on the beautiful Notre Dame campus which was conveniently located for our family. Staff went out of their way to be helpful and courteous. The cafe was super convenient and served delicious coffee, breakfast offerings, sandwiches and scrumptious baked goods.

Reviewed Jun 12, 2026I was there for a wedding. Truly wonderful hotel, staff and extras… the bed and linens were great. There was a big golf umbrella, iron and ironing board in the room. They brought me a steamer and an electric kettle. They were kind and accommodating. The bar and restaurants were great and the courtyard was wonderful too.

Not much. I noticed that the only room service was for breakfast. But that might have just been a missing menu in my room. It would also be nice to remind guests that they can tip for housekeeping at checkout.

Reviewed Jan 4, 2026The room was neat and clean. It is perfect for people visiting the Notre Dame campus. Everything is nearby, so location is one of the key reasons to be here.
The service was not good. Room check-in was late, and the front desk staff were not polite (at least to me). Had it not been for the conference, which was held at the university, I would have preferred to stay at a good 5-star hotel rather than a basic one.

Access to the Rohr’s restaurant was a bit weird for dinner. When I asked for a table for 4, I was told it would be a 1.5hour wait. I then checked on open table and booked a 4-top for a seating in 5min…. In the end we got to eat a nice dinner, but that interaction was odd.

Reviewed Sep 14, 2025I’ve always been curious about notre dame so it seemed like a good idea to stop there for the night. My son and I were driving from Boston to boulder so south bend was a convenient stop. The hotel is immaculate and the staff super responsive. What was really interesting was walking around the campus to the grotto as the campus is beautiful, spacious and well designed. It was a quick overnight stay, breakfast and coffee at the cafe in the hotel and fully rested for the next leg of the journey.

Reviewed Sep 1, 2025We felt like we were staying at a dorm on campus. My daughter was playing soccer against Notre Dame. She thought it would be fun to stay on campus. Tons of college kids in the shared spaces making the paying customer second to them. Also I he lady that worked the front desk was incredibly rude. I understand that they are full of pride but so are other teams and their families. Will not be coming back to the college or the hotel. Should have asked for a refund. Very uncomfortable.
