Lembongan Cliff Villas

The highlights of the property are definitely the beautiful views and the pool. The staff were really nice, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. We also loved the massages we had at the hotel. The room and bathroom are a little dated, but overall, there was nothing that stood out as a major negative. The property is quite remote, which can make it a little difficult to get around the island. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you’re planning to rent a scooter.

The welcome drink was delicious. The flower arrangement on my bed were gorgeous and the view from my room, the restaurant and the top pool were beautiful.

It was a bit of a distance to get to the main areas such as shops and restaurants, needed to use taxi/scooter. The breakfast was avg and no real ‘menu’ as such, although both my dinners were enjoyable. The hotel is dated and needs A LOT of maintenance and improvements. The stairs to the upper levels are not only extremely steep, they are falling apart and at any moment a piece could brake off as you step up (or down)… very dangerous. The wifi wouldn’t connect for me, I tried multiple times. The bath in my bathroom had rusted taps/hose and the drain looked clogged and disgusting, my shower had mould and looked like it needed a decent scrub and I had no hot water… I mentioned those things to the host when I left for my tour in the morning and when I got back around dinner time, nothing had changed. I didn’t bother bringing it up again. The sheets felt like they were coated in something, hard to explain but I just didn’t feel ‘clean’ staying there… didn’t help that I could shower properly for 2 days!!

Ze zijn ontzettend aardig en proberen je met alles te helpen. Via de receptie kan je vervoer regelen en je was laten doen. Door omstandigheden kon ik niet alles trappen omhoog naar het restaurant en ze kwam ''s-morgens het ontbijt brengen. Je zit op 2 min lopen van Coconut Beach. Houd er wel rekening mee dat de weg naar het strand enorm steil is.

De kamer kan wel wat opgeknapt worden. De muren in de badkamer waren bv vies en ook het muurtje achter de wc. Het ziet er soms een beetje smoezelig uit. De stenen trappen naar het restaurant zijn ook niet meer helemaal oké.

The end of stay, room service bill is all handwritten & quite complicated. A few mistakes that wer too difficult to even bother trying to sort out. A computerized system would go a long way to simplifying & speeding up the checking out process.

The first room we were given was covered in mould the smell coming from the bathroom was absolutely foul. The taps were rusty, mould on the bedside lamps, we were given another room, which was better, but still not cleaned properly and no hand soap

The location and views of this place is what would keep us coming back. My partner and I both surf so to be able to walk down to playgrounds/ lacerations and paddle out is amazing. 10/10 for staff - they are amazing and so friendly We believe the value for money is worth it here - breakfasts were really good and the price of drinks/ food is very good. We got washing done through them - also reasonable price and my partner had a massage on the last day and said it was the best he’d had all holidays. Thanks again cliff villas!

This is our second time returning to the cliff villas. Our previous time was 4 years ago - like a lot of the reviews say - bathrooms are looking tired and shower pressure is very average at times

L'odeur de fosse sceptique qui remontait dans la salle de bains. Nous l'avons signalé et par moments ça allait mieux, mais ça restait désagréable. Et tous les matins il y avait des crottes dans notre chambre. Peut-être qu'en l'isolant mieux, les bestioles n'y entreraient pas. Il faut aussi prendre en compte qu'il y a beaucoup de hautes marches entre les chambres et le restaurant. A éviter pour des personnes à mobilité limitées

Cet hôtel est très bien situé avec une fabuleuse vue sur la mer, 2 piscines à débordement et juste à côté d’une plage ! On emprunte ensuite une corniche qui permet d’accéder aux restaurants et boutiques à pied. Le petit déjeuner est très bon et même le déjeuner ou dîner. Les villas sont très spacieuses avec vue sur la mer.

Les salles de bain sont vétustes, en particulier la tuyauterie qui est rouillée. Les draps ne sont pas agréables avec une sensation moite alors qu’il y a la climatisation. Il y a beaucoup de marches pour monter aux villas mais une telle vue ça se mérite !

Many very steep steps to get to rooms and even higher to get to restaurant, so not at all suitable for those with disabilities or poor fitness. But amazing views!

Wonderful view and friendly helpful staff. Good infinity pool upstairs. Great spot with small swimming beach below. Rooms are all huts with plenty of space and nice terrace/garden outside. If you want simple straight forward stay and will be out and about it totally delivers. No need book breakfast, eat out at cafe below.

Loved the location and its proximity to the beautiful beach below, it’s also away from the crowds (but still close enough), love the boardwalk access and the pool is stunning!

It didn’t bother us so much but beware of the stairs, being cliff side there are a lot of them!

Het uitzicht is fantastisch! Je loopt zo naar beneden een strandje op. Twee restaurant mogelijkheden; luxe of een warung op het strand. Op loopafstand van allerlei restaurantjes en winkeltjes. Nog leuker is om naar beneden te gaan op de scooter voor de gezellige straatjes vol winkeltjes en restaurantjes.

De accommodatie is verouderd en echt aan renovatie toe. Het was allemaal niet erg fris ondanks elke dag schoonmaak. Dit komt doordat het verouderd is.

The property is heaven. The rooms were amazing and the pool facilities are stunning. The only slight negative was the shower as it had no pressure. But to be honest we’re currently staying in a 5 star resort with the perfect shower etc and I’d rather be at cliff villas.

The location and view are 5 stars. The pool areas are great. Especially the upstairs cliff pool. It was quiet and tranquil. The massage at the resort was amazing too. Really close to the best beach on the island with snorkelling.

For the price we paid it was better than you’d expect. If you are staying on the very top just be aware there are roosters at dawn 😂

Viele Urlauber aus GB, die nichts anderes zu tun haben als eine alle Liegen ab 7 Uhr mit dem Handtuch zu belegen- dafür kann aber die Unterkunft nichts; Standard landestypisch, teilweise Schimmel

Sensationeller Blick auf das Meer, die Bucht und Berge von Bali, sowohl von Pool und Restaurant als auch von den Villas (9,10, 12, 13), gemütliche Betten, gute Mosquito Netze, schöne Villen. Guter Zugang zum kleinen Strand und Restaurants plus Promenade. Personal grundsätzlich freundlich, nur etwas wenig ambitioniert. Leider macht das Resort zu wenig aus der tollen Lage.

Teilweise sehr unambitioniert, lieblos und spartanisch: Frühstück im Vergleich zum Standard sonst auf Bali sehr spartanisch, Geschirr am Pool von Vorgängern wurde den halben Tag nicht abgeräumt, Ausstattung z.B. verschimmelter Lampenschirm an der Nachttischlampe, sehr staubige Bügel und Schubladen, nur 1 Handtuch pro Person, verrostete Armaturen, Tageslichtscheibe an der Decke im Bad noch mit Maßangaben auf der Scheibe und Farbe oder Mörtel vom Einbau verdreckt, Reinigung insgesamt sehr oberflächlich, älterer Mann an der Rezeption etwas unwillig behilflich zu sein (auf die Frage, es einen Shuttle vom Hotel gäbe, kam die Gegenfrage, ob das nicht die Tauchschule organisieren könne).

Proximity to beach

The first room on the side of the hill had a ceiling covered in black mold and moldy mosquito net. We asked to move units. The room on top of the hill has an over capacity electrical above it that buzzes very loudly. The road to the top has trash all over.

Distante dal villaggio. Per arrivare alle ultime stanze necessario inerpicarsi su scale ripide. Bagni veramente al di sotto di un livello accettabile: malandati, sporchi e incrostati. Un filo di acqua calda nella doccia. Personale poco cortese o disponibile.

L'hôtel bénéficie d'une très belle vue depuis les piscines et le restaurant, ce qui est un véritable atout. La présence de deux piscines est également très appréciable. Les chambres étaient correctes et confortables, mais l'établissement dans son ensemble mériterait un sérieux rafraîchissement. Un coup de neuf serait le bienvenu, car certaines installations montrent des signes d'usure et auraient besoin d'être rénovées pour améliorer l'expérience des clients. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié la superbe plage de Coco Beach, située à environ une heure de marche. Le cadre y est magnifique et l'endroit est tout simplement exceptionnel. Le chemin qui mène au centre-ville est également très agréable, offrant une belle promenade avec de jolis paysages à découvrir tout au long du parcours. Ces atouts ont largement contribué à rendre notre séjour plaisant.

L'hôtel accuse un vrai coup de vieux et mériterait une rénovation générale. Les escaliers, très pentus, sont difficiles à monter, surtout pour les personnes ayant des difficultés de mobilité. La literie et le linge de lit devraient être revus et remplacés afin d'améliorer le confort. Les rideaux semblent également sales et gagneraient à être changés. Enfin, les salles de bains nécessitent un rafraîchissement, avec notamment quelques réparations et un resserrage des équipements sanitaires. Dommage, car avec quelques améliorations, l'établissement pourrait offrir une bien meilleure expérience.

Spectacular views, so close to Coconut Beach which was our favourite spot on the island. Balanese style accommodation. Pool was fantastic.

Few little things missing from the room. Eg. No face washer, no hand soap (but was easy to grab the shower gel and use it for hand washing).

Friendly staff, delicious food at good prices, big rooms (12 and 13) and two fantastic pools. Really happy we stayed here and would come back.

Unfortunately, our room had mould in the bathroom, which smelt terrible. The room wasn't cleaned very well. Dirty glasses and tea cups left or bin not emptied. The stairs, well let's mention the stairs. Numerous up to the roof top pool and restaurant. We knew beforehand about these, but not how uneven they were or the height if stairs. Breakfast was minimal choice with no variations from day to day. After 6 nights, we were rather over eggs, rice, or noodle.

The wifi and water pressure needs some serious work; it really lets the property down.

The villas are perfectly situated at the top and the views are spectacular and the top rim flow pool pool is fantastic. The staff bend over backwards for you and the food is good in the little restaurant.

However there is so much maintenance to be done all around the resort. The stair cases have chipped blocks (I saw a guy roll his ankle because so uneven), the bathrooms in the villas are old and tired, bathtubs stained and rusted, water pressure is terrible. They need a full revamp.

View was amazing at the top of the resort. Restaurant pleasant, staff pleasant.

Stairs are a nightmare to get to the top of the resort. Walkways are not very staple, dangerous, loose rocks, steps are not even and in area around the pool missing all together. The resort needs a desperate upgrade. Bathrooms are a nightmare. Rusted, shower either hot or cold or no water at all. We basically had to clean the shower head as it was not working. There was a bath we could use, no bath plug, nor functional. This resort has so much potential! Hope this review gets to the owners.

The amount of stairs- didn't feel safe. Poor Wifi and very poor shower pressure and heat.

The location was amazing. The view were outstanding and the staff were beautiful.

This property has aged. The linen is stained and in need of replacement. The bathroom fittings have not been updated since 1960 and they show it. The furniture is also very old and dated and there was nowhere to sit except the bed or hard wooden chairs. If someone spent a little bit of money on these villas they would attract higher paying customers as the location is amazing and they have wonderful staff.

The room was beautiful with an amazing view of the ocean and bay below. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The location was nice and quiet but within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, and bars. The food at the restaurant was very nice and they made great cocktails.

The tap and the pipe under our sink were leaking, so the floor was always wet. We did report it, and the tap was promptly replaced, but the pipe still leaked, so the floor was still wet. Our room was right up the top, so we had to walk up a lot of very steep steps, which a lot of were cracked and chipped, so could be quite dangerous for some people.

Lembongan cliff villas is very well located, old style, great views, nice place to stay.

Being built on the side of a hill means stairs and alot of them,just something to keep in mind if you have any ankle or leg problems

Beautiful views, lovely pool, good value breakfast. Great location. Right next to a beautiful beach with a very cool pontoon.

Not appropriate at all for toddlers! We had a 2 year old and the stairs are a literal death trap.

De hygiëne in de kamer kan beter: vochtplekken op de muur, versleten bad. De douchekop is niet verstelbaar waardoor de waterstraal over de persoon heen spuit: de badkamer heeft nood aan een opfrissing.

The number of steps, but what do you expect when staying somewhere where with a name of Cliff Villas.

The location was incredible! Literally 2 minute walk to a beautiful beach and a lovely board walk that has a selection of amazing restaurants within 10-15 mins of the property. We really enjoyed the food in the restaurant, some of the best hotel food we’ve had in Bali. Great local and eastern options. The highlight was probably the upstairs pool beside the restaurant that has spectacular views of the coast and is beautiful at sunset.

Bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner/brighter but wasn’t a big issue.

Room and bathroom cleanliness wasn't great, Wifi was inconsistent, the bedside lamps are of poor quality and too large for the space, and the number of stairs the have to be climbed are not obvious in the booking otherwise we'd probably not have booked it.

Location is unbeatable, especially if you want to access the surf. Amazing view from the pool.

Stayed here 2 years ago and loved it. Everything is good. 2 beautiful pools. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure was good in the shower. You just have to walk down the hill to paddle out to playgrounds or take a boat out to one of the other surf spots which are all in view from the upper pool area and restaurant which was also good. I would stay again. That would be the third time hopefully in the future. The staff and owners were extremely helpful and kind. I would highly recommend staying here.

I didn't mind it but some people might not like having to walk up a hill but the name of the place includes the word Cliff which it is a good walk down to the beach and for exercise definitely a better walk up to the hotel but not far and you can always take a dip in the pool as soon as you get onto the grounds from the walk up from the beach.
