The staff so nice. Very clean and comfortable room. Also the pool area was very clean.

We stayed one night, but when we returned to our room the next evening, we found that it had been assigned to someone else who was already staying there. All of our food, including my baby’s food and milk, her bottles, were in the hotel room. The hotel gave us a new room. I asked if they could provide some milk for my baby since we no longer had access to our supplies. The milk they brought from the restaurant , after drinking and falling asleep she cried all night, when I tried the milk in the fridge it was spoiled. I was so worried that I considered taking her to the emergency room. I cried all night with her and people at reception said there is nothing they can do about it. I had classes at Stanford the next morning, which was the reason for our trip, but instead we spent the entire night exhausted and distressed. This was a shocking experience and not what I expected from a Hilton hotel. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I’ve encountered a room assignment issue like this at a Hilton property. I would not recommend this hotel.

I had a very disappointing experience at Hilton Garden Inn Palo Alto. After my stay, I noticed unauthorized charges added to my bill that were not disclosed at check-in — in fact, I was given incorrect information about the charges upfront. When I called to dispute them, I was told a manager would call me back. It has now been over two weeks, and despite repeated follow-ups on my end, no one has reached out. To make matters worse, they have not even shared a copy of the receipt I requested. The complete lack of accountability and communication has been frustrating and feels deliberate. I would caution future guests to carefully review their folio before checking out and to get every charge in writing. I hope management eventually takes ownership of these issues — but based on my experience, I would recommend looking at other hotels in the Palo Alto area to avoid the same hassle.

The parking fee, and they did not mention the 50 Deposit upon arrival.

Food. Usually I don’t care about the food but if there’s 5 or 4 people in a family that avail the buffet you kind of expect a “ok” food. The milk was nasty non of the kids wanted to eat the food so they were gonna eat some cereal but end up not eating at all because even the milk was nasty.

The food was so basic for the price that i pay the milk wasnt good it tasted like it was expired prices were relly high the sodas were 7 dollars each i feel like everything was overpriced, also alot if kids were passing by knocking and running there was alot of noise after 10

The pool has to much bleach and the service on the breakfast i don't like the kids get cereal and they want to charge for buffet and they don't have the buffet ready 😫 even though the milk doesn't good my kids didn't eat the cereal and they still charged the breakfast separately I had to go somewhere else to eat and pay again..oh and I had to paid for parking too...like $26.99 more..I don't like that at all

Great restaurant and lounge

Location of hotel is great for Stanford visits. Nightly rate was not too high. Pool open late gave us time to swim.

Paying to park on an app. Just include parking in your night rate.

The place was nice, the staff was very professional and the house cleaning lady was kind. The rooms were big very comfortable I didn't want to leave 😀

Exceptional customer service from the front desk representative Sienna. Sienna was friendly and very responsive to our requests. Being a former Forbes 5 Star customer service trainer, Sienna excelled in all aspects.

We stayed here one night for a business event and it was clean and convenient. The staff was friendly and there is a restaurant and bar on site though we didn’t use it. We ate instead at Hobee’s next door. Our only gripe is the parking. You have to pay separately via app and it was confusing. There doesn’t seem to be any difference between parking for public or room guests. I paid for overnight, my receipt said it expired at 10:53 am (even though I paid at 12:30) then the next morning at 9:15 I got a text saying it was expiring in 15 minutes. The staff don’t really understand how it works yet so they couldn’t help. Other than that it’s a quiet clean place, close to Stanford and plenty of places to eat.

From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed. The staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail of my stay was perfect. My room was spotless, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and they have a great indoor pool. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The room was very comfortable and had what I suspect was a sleeper sofa. The room was spacious with a king-sized bed. It’s in a great location, especially if you use mass transit. The staff were very helpful.

The coffee pods could be replaced by better brands such as local brands.

Cleaning service only alternate day is not good - we stayed 2 nights so no cleaning was done. Also parking $20 a day is outrageous. And the staff at the bar is rude.

The location was in proximity to an appointment, but was not in a pretty or very safe location. I would not have felt comfortable walking in the neighborhood. Mt car was damaged while parked in the underground parking lot.

We specifically chose this hotel/room (which was very pricy) because it had a pool and hot tub - but these were under repair and not available, which was NOT revealed on the booking site. Also, our first room was very smelly and we had to be moved to another room.

The front desk was obviously first contact. Very very nice and even upgraded me to a suite with my Hilton status. I wasn’t expecting that so that was a nice touch. The hotel is very clean including the room. Immaculate would be the word I would use to describe the rooms. I attached pictures below. Parking is on site and is very easy, it’s in a nice location located to stores, etc. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner and have a full bar. Highly recommend especially for a business stay!

We were here for a soccer tournament around the corner and booked this place because reviews were good BUT mainly because it had an indoor pool. Unfortunately, it was not noted on hotels.com NOR did anyone mention it at check-in that the pool was closed for renovations. It wasn't until my 9yr old and I went to go and the woman at the front desk tells us it's closed and waves us the paper they have printed at check-in with a smirk. I live 40 mins from Palo Alto and swimming was the only reason I wasted money to stay in the area. There's plenty of other hotels surrounding the area and could've easily chose one of those had it been noted that the pool was closed. On a side note, it would also be good to coordinate closures with community events to avoid doing this during a huge soccer tournament around the corner.

Good location near hospitals. Restaurant and its personnel were exceptional. Overall, the hotel is tired and needs an update. The driveway entrance is obscured by overgrown trees/foliage and faded tile. It also serves as the garbage pickup and delivery area with a broad service gate left open all the time displaying abundant junk. There are some furnishing updates but significant remnants of dark older items. Wallpaper in room peeling. At the far end of the entrance near the meeting room there is beautiful new decor -- seriously considered expanding this to elevate the property.

Buffet breakfast should be included with stay

The room was noisy from the air conditioning mechanicals room across from our room. I complained to staff but no response.

Bad hotel. Came back to my room to discover it hadn’t been serviced. In these frugal times I had no expectation of sheets or toweling being replaced. Just a simple room clean and making the bed. Despite the Hilton promise of fixing problems, my room is an untidy mess. They charge a lot for this so called service. So much for being a gold member. Conveys little. I’ll never ever ever stay here again. It is also grubby and noisy.

Excellent service and accommodation

The Hilton Garden Inn was a pleasant surprise! I was traveling with a friend for a doctor's appointment at Stanford Medical Center. The location close to Stanford was the reason for the booking. However, I wasn't anticipating the quality of stay or the service we received. Aniyah and Lee at the front desk made us feel as though we were staying with longtime friends in their private residence. Their advice on traffic, parking, and the medical center were dead on. They offered restaurant suggestions and ways to spend our down time. We were tired, so we ultimately chose to eat at the hotel. And it was good! Our server and bartender, Joe, was a pleasure and really very interesting. The spaghetti and meatballs were good and just what we needed. Our rooms were comfortable and quiet. Unfortunately, my friend will be returning to Stanford for future appointments. Fortunately, we have a great place to stay while we're there.

There was a large system down situation at my check-in, which delayed that a bit. It's the only reason is a 4-star experience, not a 5-star.

Clean room and comfortable bed. Good size for 4 people. Easy to walk to restaurants and Walgreens.

The elevator was broken. There was no water offered other than paying, and we weren’t aware of the elevator situation until we got there and tried to go to our room and we had picked a room that was close to the elevator. The hotel was full, so there was no other option And in the morning the cook didn’t show up so there was no breakfast offered.

This was a good place to stay. Room was clean and tidy. Checked in online but still had to go to the desk. Parking is underground and there were plenty of spots on Level 2. The pool was disappointing. It’s indoor, cood and quite small. Don’t expect to swim laps. The breakfast buffet was underwhelming for the price. Be sure to bring your breakfast voucher and tell the server you paid in advance.

I have stayed here before but must have forgotten to write a review so here I am. Great location close to many food options along El Camino Real which is the main road. We were about 17-20 mins to Menlo College which was the purpose of this trip and maybe 15 mins to Stanford. Had all the amenities I needed, underground parking $20 per day but plenty of spaces for Diamond Members which was great. Room was comfortable with a smart tv so I was able to stream Netflix which was another plus. Would definitely stay here again.

My daughter was walked in on when changing in our room. Spoke with front desk and another attendant came in to our room without knocking shortly after. Very unsafe for our family. Spoke to supervisor Gabriel. They were going to work with Expedia to refund half of our stay due to our experience

Hotel was great, room was great. Only giving 4 stars because when I was first checking in front desk lady seemed a bit moody but not a huge deal.

The room was great, clean and spacious. I would have given the hotel 5 stars review -knowing that is a solid Hilton inn garden, nothing fancy but clean and nice. The staff and the facilities were disappointing. Hilton has signs that read “if something is wrong please bring it up to our staff and we’ll make it work. Guaranteed”. Turns out that’s not the case. I had two issues, that couldn’t have been solved but were not and staff was unwilling to make it right: 1. Gym closed at 8pm…. And staff was not able or unwilling to unlock, and 2. I was given credit for food that I couldn’t use because I booked through Expedia. This last one I was able to fight and get it waived as I “used” the credit for breakfast on site to use the credit but later was told it wouldn’t apply. They made it right, but took me much longer and complaint which could have been solved in seconds since it was their miscommunication (I had asked twice before using it that it would work and was told yes by two different staff people.
