A good selection of engaging activities for kids, some of which were free. Spacious rooms, lovely premises and surroundings.
Hardly any staff could speak English, so some family members found it difficult to communicate with staff
The hotel compound is lovely to stroll in and breakfast selection is good.
Location is a little away from the main tourist area but it's ok
A beautiful hotel, but not quite a relaxing resort experience The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views and everything designed in a very tasteful and aesthetic way. The surroundings are gorgeous, and overall it feels like a very special place. However, there are a few things that were disappointing. If you are looking for a relaxing resort-style holiday where you can spend the day by the pool, this is probably not the right place. There is no food or drink service by the pool, and the pool area seems to also be used by outside guests, with swimming lessons taking place and very laude teachers . This really takes away from the relaxing holiday atmosphere. It is also surprising that, despite having so many beautiful outdoor spaces, there are almost no comfortable chairs or loungers where you can simply sit, read a book and enjoy the scenery. There is even a lovely terrace next to the pool where a few loungers would make a huge difference. Another issue is the language barrier. Only one staff member I encountered spoke English. I went to the restaurant and ended up paying around 300 RMB for something I had not properly understood and did not enjoy. Even the hot pot restaurant menu was not available in English. For a five-star hotel that wants to welcome international guests, I really think more effort should be made here. On a positive note, the duck was excellent, and the hotel itself is truly beautiful. With a few relatively simple improvements, especially around the pool experience, comfortable outdoor seating and English communication, this could be an exceptional hotel.
Relaxing garden, mini zoo is very cute, nice fitness, breakfast is good too
It is difficult communicating in English
Great view of the mountains; beautiful surroundings; wonderful tea tasting sessions at TEA SPACE with knowledgeable staff; near to Shuhe Ancient Town; cycling is free (but the refundable deposit to rent a bike is high); the room I booked had a broken aircon and shower so I requested it to be fixed - it wasn’t fixed so the hotel moved me to another room the next day after I fed back
Depending on which building you are assigned to, you will have to walk far from the hotel lobby to your assigned building. Internal carts are not always readily available, especially during rainy days. Eating INSIDE any of the hotel restaurants are expensive (though the Peking duck restaurant is good). Animal feeding is NOT free - need to pay for a pack of carrots. Front desk staff struggles in speaking English so get ready with a translation app. Lake view room does NOT mean lake view because there is a block in the balcony. From balcony chair, you can only see the mountains. You will have to STAND up to see the lake.
Breakfast selection, the hotel activities, the view of the hotel
Two ceiling light fused since day one but not fixed the entire stay, the fridge in room was not working but also not fixed. Had to ask the staff to provide a portable fridge in room. Blood stain found on bedsheet, hotel only changed our bed linens on our third day upon request. The staff wasn’t even apologetic and sound impatient. Celebrate my mum’s birthday which has mentioned in the booking. Nothing was prepared until the second day I checked with the front desk, they said they overlooked as it was written in English… I hope other English speaking guests won’t be affected? Check-in staff mentioned can arrange a taxi for us upon request during the stay. A female staff asked me and my mum to walk outside the hotel and get taxi by ourselves. Breakfast restaurant was very crowded and even set up a used fork for me. I think there are lots of rooms to improve for the hotel service. I have mentioned all these upon check out, a female staff was apologetic and offered me to have a doll? Which I rejected. I truly hope the hotel can take my comments in a serious manner.
The hotel offered everything you need for a relaxing stay. All staff (and there's a lot of them) were always very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was exceptional, offering many Chinese and western options. The room very very spacious and well equipped. There are lot sof free and paid-for activities within the compound (petting zoo, tie-dye, fishing,...)
The hotel is a bit away from everything but Didi's are cheap and available in abundance. Maintenance of the rroms could have been a bit better, as some cupboard / drawer handles and towel holders were broken.
I stayed as a Hyatt Globalist and had a mixed but memorable experience. The resort is in a solid location—about 2 miles from Shuhe Ancient City (my favorite of the three ancient towns). Taxis to Shuhe, the old town, or Baisha are quick and easy, with cabs usually waiting in the parking lot. There’s also a fun street full of restaurants and food carts just a 10-minute walk to the east, perfect for casual dining and shopping. The hotel offers free bicycle rentals (with a ¥1,000 deposit), though plenty of bikes are available on the streets as well. The property itself has beautiful grounds, with a stunning view across a man-made lake toward Snow Dragon Mountain, and black swans gliding on the water that make the scenery feel magical. The spa and pool facilities are excellent overall, though I did encounter a man spitting on the floor two days in a row in the spa area. The staff acknowledged the issue but said there was nothing they could do—definitely wear slippers everywhere in the spa. As a Globalist, I received a nice suite upgrade and free breakfast, which were the two benefits that mattered most to me. Unfortunately, other aspects of service were quite disappointing. Reception staff often felt distant and struggled to connect with guests, even those speaking Chinese. The greeting team left my luggage unattended in the taxi area for over two hours without labeling it, forcing me to retrieve it myself—no one even questioned me as I walked away with it. The room was spacious and nicely appointed, but I discovered a serious infestation of flying termites swarming from the bathroom wall. Despite providing photos, staff initially insisted I must have left the windows open (I hadn’t) and seemed unable to accept that the termites were coming from inside the walls. They eventually moved me to a new room, where a very helpful gentleman named Charlie assisted with my luggage. Another low point occurred when I left my wallet in a taxi. Front desk staff showed little willingness to help—spending only a minute or two before saying there was nothing they could do. I had to handle most of the follow-up myself. Thankfully, a bellboy named James He stepped in and successfully contacted the driver to recover my wallet. His kindness and initiative meant a lot and stood in stark contrast to the front desk’s response. Breakfast was a highlight—delightful with many live cooking stations, excellent variety, and genuinely nice service. I would consider staying here again, especially for the location, views, breakfast, and Globalist perks, but I’d compare other options first. Service is inconsistent: while there are standout team members like Charlie and James He who go above and beyond, the general level of attentiveness and problem-solving (particularly at the front desk) fell short of what I expect from a Hyatt property. The termite incident and reluctance to assist with the lost wallet were particularly frustrating. If you value a scenic resort setting, good food, and Hyatt elite benefits, this could be a worthwhile choice—just go in with realistic expectations around service.
This place is a hidden gem. We stayed four nights and left with a lifetime of memories. Truly the best family vacation we've ever had. Check-In & Front Desk The front desk team was exceptional from the moment we arrived. I checked in as a Guest of Honor and was warmly welcomed. Breakfast was included and the staff walked us through all the family activities available. The gentleman who checked us in was patient and accommodating despite the language barrier. Room Change & Robert After our first night, we requested a room change. Special mention to Via, who was patient, communicative in English, and worked with us on our room preferences without hesitation. The staff clearly coordinated with each other on guest needs and it showed. Robert drove us around the property on a golf cart, pointed out the gym, pool, and spa, and made sure we felt completely at home before we even moved in. That extra effort made a real impression on our whole family. Staff & Service As an American guest, I sometimes hesitate to make requests. But the staff were responsive and eager. Extra utensils, bedding, pillows, robes, all delivered without question. Housekeeping came at least twice a day. We simply dialed 0 for anything we needed. I almost felt bad to call them so often but they came with a smiling face and patience each time. One note: though the hotel knew we were traveling with kids, we had to request children's slippers and robes. A small proactive touch that would go a long way for future families. Activities & Weather The weather wasn't always cooperative, but the staff stayed ahead of it and proactively shared daily activity options based on the forecast. One evening there was an outdoor barbecue with beer and soccer. The kids played and made friends with other American families vacationing there. Animal feeding was a hit too. One wish: more structured kids' activities where children can play together. Breakfast Breakfast was the highlight of every morning. We actually skipped early tours just so we wouldn't miss it. The spread was incredible: custom noodle dishes including wonton soup, a pastry section, a healthy food station, American-style bacon and eggs, and Japanese oden. A tall gentleman working at the restaurant with glasses made the rounds offering specialty cold brew and tea, kept us informed about daily activities, and also ran the barbecue event. He felt like our personal activity director, warm and knowledgeable and always present. Rooms Beautiful, with thoughtful and felt rustic and warm.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Jinmao Purex Lijiang, and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the room design—it perfectly captures an oriental aesthetic in a way that feels sophisticated, classy, and deeply relaxing. The standout feature, however, is the hotel’s incredible location. Waking up to an unobstructed, panoramic view of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is an experience I will never forget. It provides a stunning backdrop that makes every moment in the hotel feel special. What really sets this property apart is the thoughtful array of complimentary activities they offer. I thoroughly enjoyed the tribal costume photoshoot, the charming pet-feeding sessions, and the relaxing tea tasting—all of which added such a unique and cultural dimension to my stay. The service was consistently warm and attentive; the staff truly go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and cared for. To top it all off, the fitness facilities are gorgeous, and the indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi area are nothing short of luxurious. It is the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. I cannot recommend Jinmao Purex Lijiang highly enough for anyone visiting Lijiang.
Unforgettable stay in beautifully located well maintained 5 star hotel! We liked calm luxury atmosphere and impecable service. Hotel is located in scenary place with view to mountauns. Hotel offers a choice of excellent restaurants on its premises.
This was a great experience. The location is an ancient Chinese town style and the envrionment is fantastic. There are multiple restaurants around the hotel. The public transportation is fair but taking taxi is easy.
環境非常好,可以看雪山

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and it was a bit further than other type of rooms, but it offers a very private and quiet stay. The property is HUGE, with a garden, small pool, and the master bedroom faces the direction of the snow mountain. I think this is an awesome place to hang out with your family members or friends. Breakfast was next to the lake & garden and the scenery was beautiful. A good range of food, from western (bacon, sausage, scramble eggs), to pastries, local yunnan delicacies etc.
The 2-bedroom suite was quite a bit further than other rooms so the best way to go back to the room was by the free buggy ride offered by the hotel. During peak hours, we had to wait for a few rounds to get on the buggy. It didn't help that people cut queue and the hotel staff didn't necessarily keep track of who was in line first but rather who was more aggressive in getting on the buggy.
Stunning property - the grounds and rooms really were absolutely beautiful
We ordered ice to the room and it took over an hour to get to us. But that is the only bad point!
We had a wonderful stay at Jinmao. It is a quiet santuary to come back to after exploring bussling touristy old town and Yulong area We love tbe modernised chinese architecture, our room was spacious and surrounded by beautiful gardens. We tried the chinese restaurants a few times and frequent the bakery. The resort also organised beer garden party during our stay. The staff are polite, helpful and very welcoming. Will llove to stay here again if we are in Lijiang next time.
The pillows are too soft for me and my husband. It would be nice if you could offer some options . The tv & movie channel are limited to local programme, it would be nice to have more international programme.
This is definitely a very photogenic property, great for IG or TikTok videos. I mistakenly booked a residence for just my daughter and me. The residence was bigger than my daughter’s apartment in San Francisco. My friend who was also staying at the hotel said her regular room was also big. The location is in a suburban area of Lijiang, which means a car is needed to go to the Lijiang ancient city, etc. The service was OK. After checking in, I had to find someone to take us and our luggage to our room. The guy who took us and our luggage to our room barely said a word, dumped our luggage and left. Not exactly an experience I expected from a five star hotel. The front desk also won’t help us book a private car to the snow mountain, instead, hooked us up with someone on WeChat. The breakfast offers a wide selection. However, for all three mornings that we were there, they had trouble keeping items stocked and available. Most of the items like baked sweet potatoes were not kept warm. Their restaurant offered good service and ok food. Overall, it is an OK place to stay, just don’t expect an high level of customer service.
บรรยากาศดี พนักงานพอได้
We stayed at Jinmao Purelax Lijiang and overall had a very enjoyable experience, especially for a large family trip. The hotel is located close to Shuhe Ancient Town — a Didi ride costs less than 5 RMB, which is very convenient. The property itself is spacious, peaceful, and beautifully set against the backdrop of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The atmosphere is one of the highlights. There are plenty of activities within the hotel, with a daily schedule provided. Complimentary activities include tie-dye, sugar painting, and fishing, while paid options include leather crafting and clay doll making. This makes it easy to spend an entire day in the hotel without getting bored. We traveled as a group of 11 and stayed in a 3-bedroom villa (Villa 8888) and a 2-bedroom villa (Villa 8887). Both villas are located at the far end of the property, and initially we relied heavily on buggy carts to get around, which felt quite far. It wasn’t until the second night that we realized there is a shortcut walkway that makes the distance much shorter. While the hotel provided a map at check-in, the explanation was minimal — likely due to limited English communication. Most interactions were done via translation apps, and staff tended to avoid lengthy verbal explanations. At check-in, we were asked to add the hotel on WeChat, which turned out to be the most efficient way to communicate — even more convenient than phone calls or face-to-face conversations. On the day we visited Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, we had to leave before 6 AM. The hotel kindly prepared breakfast boxes for us to pick up at the lobby. Each box included bread, yogurt, water, and fruit — simple but very convenient. Villa Experience: The 3-bedroom villa is very spacious. The outdoor area includes a small heated pool, perfect for soaking, along with seating and a garden space. Inside, there is a large living area, dining table for 6–8 people, and a separate entertainment room with a high-tech mahjong table. There is also a small kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, kettle, and stove — though no cooking utensils or cutlery are provided, only glasses and teacups. One bedroom is located on the ground floor (twin beds), while the other two bedrooms upstairs feature single king beds. The rooms are comfortable, and the bathroom floors are heated, which is a nice touch. The 2-bedroom villa is similar in layout and also has a heated outdoor pool. However, we did encounter a few minor issues: the bedside light switches were wired incorrectly (left switch controlling right light), and the sliding door between the bedroom and dressing area was stuck. Despite this, the overall stay was still very comfortable. Dining: Breakfast at the Lakeside restaurant offers a good variety of international and local options, including noodles, congee, and freshly fried Chinese dough sticks. The restaurant was never overcrowded, and service was attentive with prompt table clearing. We also tried other dining options in the hotel. The Chinese restaurant was excellent — the roast duck was particularly memorable, and portions (like fried rice) were very generous. The “Hi Fire” charcoal grill experience was unique and quite upscale, but preparation time was long (almost an hour). It’s highly recommended to reserve in advance. Additional Experiences: One standout activity is the complimentary Naxi costume photoshoot. The package includes 5 free photos per room, with optional makeup services (100 RMB for basic, 300 RMB for full makeup). The staff were patient and professional, and notably did not accept tips. Additional photos can be purchased at 80 RMB per image, with discounts available for larger packages. Reservations should be made at least one day in advance. Overall: A beautiful resort with great facilities, ideal for families or those looking to relax and spend time within the property. Minor communication challenges and a few room maintenance issues aside, the experience was very positive.
Beautiful hotel with spacious, well-designed rooms. It is conveniently located near various tourist spots.
The room facilities were in poor condition. The shower head was loose and felt unsafe, posing a risk of injury. I had to call maintenance twice to get it fixed. Additionally, the power outlets were broken and had no electricity, which required another repair. The service at breakfast was also disappointing. The staff lacked a service mindset and were gathered around gossiping, which made me, as a foreigner, feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome.
Nothing
Absolutely massive. Drunken tourists all over, very loud. Concierge services inexistant. No understanding of English. Poor food quality and dishes. Left 14 hours after arrival to Intercontinental which has excellent standards, very kind and helpful staff.
Great modern place, however bit challenging if you are not good in Mandarin. If you want to try beijing duck - make sure to book in advance. Also bit weird to pay extras for animal feeding 20 yuans, when the room charge is not as low as well. I would expect it to be free.
Language barrier
My recent stay at Jinmao Purelax Lijiang was unfortunately disappointing and did not meet five-star expectations. The check-in process took around 20–30 minutes and was handled by an inexperienced staff member. There was no acknowledgment of my World of Hyatt membership. I also encountered multiple issues during check-in. The Wi-Fi did not work, my prior request for a children’s room setup was not arranged, and the room type was changed without explanation. Most concerning, I upgraded to a suite which included breakfast, yet I was incorrectly informed that neither of my rooms included breakfast. The staff was unable to verify the booking properly and only confirmed after checking with a manager. There was also no proper introduction to the hotel facilities or layout, which is not expected from a property of this level. In addition, concierge service was unavailable when needed, and I had to wait and actively look for assistance. The payment process was also inconvenient, as the hotel did not have sufficient change for cash payments and asked me to use alternative payment methods instead. The only positive experience was the shuttle driver, who was helpful and provided useful information about the surroundings. Overall, this stay fell well below expectations, especially for a World of Hyatt property.
scenery surround the hotel..previous design ...size of the room
It seems like the hotel maintenance is not detailed...repainting takes away the luxurious impression...then the pictures on the walls which for me also reduce the elegance of the character...I feel that currently there is more emphasis on function alone without paying attention to the elegance of the entire property.
We stayed at the Jinmao Purelax Hotel in Lijiang for two nights in January 2026. The hotel is exceptionally beautiful, showcasing the elegance of traditional Chinese garden design. The overall atmosphere is calm and serene, complemented by a simple yet refined neo-classical aesthetic that creates a sense of quiet luxury. The staff were consistently warm and professional. We arrived earlier, and the front desk associate, Kathy, kindly assisted us with an early check-in and also offered complimentary breakfast, which was greatly appreciated. We can look at the sunrise over Yulong Mountain at hotel. Overall, it was a graceful and memorable experience, and we would highly recommend this hotel.
Goof experience, Bella good service
Amazing property with so many activities on site. Kayaking, teahouse, mountain shuttle etc Wonderful view and a didi away from old town. I enjoyed this location as it was slightly further from busy old town and we get to rest nicely after a long day exploring in a quiet and comfortable area.
Nothing, everything was amazing
Stayed here for two nights, love the architecture of the hotel, and the beautiful landscape design. It also offers a lot of free activities such as arts and craft, animal feeding and fishing. Got upgraded to the Deluxe Suite, room is clean and spacious with private balcony. The only complaint that I have is the front desk staff could use a bit more training. Check-in and communication were a bit disorganized, I had to call in to figure out where the breakfast restaurant hours and location. WiFi was spotty until next morning. Porter service was super friendly and wonderful. Overall, a very nice hotel that I would definitely visit again next time I am in town.
The breakfast was adequate, we especially loved the cold brew available at breakfast! The location was great, we had a good view of the jade dragon snow mountain!
The hotel features excellent facilities, beautiful Chinese-style gardens, and a stunning mountain view—truly unbeatable for the price. As a Hyatt Globalist, I was upgraded to a suite, which was spacious and tastefully decorated. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely return with my family. The breakfast was average compared to other Hyatt hotels I've stayed at in China
the Hotel is absolutely classic and beautiful. it looks impressive with the famous Jade Dragon Snow Mountain as its backdrop. its landscape is well maintained. gracious black swans with red beaks swim in its pond. Llamas enjoy their afternoon in its soft green pasture. the whole environment is serene and exquisite. only golf carts are driven within this Hotel. the room is well decorated with hand carved furniture. the bed is super comfortable with high quality beddings. the balcony is private with view of the Mountain. the restaurants served tasty dishes with fresh local ingredients. the Team offered professional and attentive services. there is daily activities for guests including arts and craft workshop. the air is fresh. it is truly a non smoking facility. highly recommend.
Jinmao Purelax Lijiang exceeded every aspect of our expectations. The staffs are super polite and helpful, rooms are neat and clean. We can see the Yulong Snowy Mountain right at the balcony and at the buffet hall. The internal landscaping is gorgeous. With trees and flowers of all kinds surrounded, there's a great sized lake where black swans and ducks call it home too. The hotel also keeps a few alpacas, ponies, goats and boarder collies. Our children really enjoyed petting the animals and feeding the swans and fish every morning.
The hotel room is huge and the bed is very comfortable. There are a lot of activities you can participate in the hotel. Overall a really comfort and relaxing experience.
The fridge in the room is a bit noisy.
Beautiful Mountain View & landscape with Chinese style. If you bring kids along, they will be super excited seeing black swans, alpaca, squirrels & sheep. Hotels have very nice restaurants, Chinese restaurant offers fresh mushrooms and vegetables, with Yunnan special dishes, a bit fusion so less oily and spicy, which is great for nonlocal like us. There’s 24/24 mini mart so you can buy essentials but you’ll need WeChat to open the door, handle self payment. Room is spacious with bath tub and big closet and balcony with mosquito net door (they have beautiful garden with different kinds of flowers in bloom and lovely ponds)
Breakfast spread was good. Location is ideal since it’s a little outside the busy tourist areas but not too far. Very good staff service we were given free breakfast and we got to paddle in the little lake they hand on premises, feed the farm animals, make the dye handkerchiefs etc
I chose this hotel simply because of the view it offers, and also, because it is the only Hyatt-affiliated hotel in Lijiang. I stayed here for four nights and as a globalist, they actually gave me a very generous upgrade to a huge suite with a gorgeous balcony that looks out into jade dragon snow mountain. However, note the name of this hotel as the other hotel on TripAdvisor that also has this name but with Mountain Lodge, is NOT part of Hyatt! That is actually ANOTHER JINMAO HOTEL IN THE JADE DRAGON SNOW MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK. If you don’t read Chinese, please save the proper Chinese name of this hotel from the Hyatt website and use it when getting around because if not, you’ll be definitely be sent to the wrong hotel, and because that is in a national park, security is going to be extremely tight Although the hotel is not brand new and certain elements do show its age, I still think that it is very well maintained, but manage your expectations as it is not in the modern decor. Think dark wooden earthy tones and dim lights. My favorite element of the room the car was actually the rocking chairs – one in the living room, and another one that is very comfortable in the balcony. My suite had a huge separate walking closet that is opposite a huge dual-sink bathroom with separated, toilet (no bidet), shower, and bathtub. Toiletries were actually from Karl Lagerfield, and they actually smell very good. They also provided a lot of bottled water – four at the Nespresso machine, two in the bathroom, and during turned down two by your bed. Comfort wise, the bedding felt like a normal standard Hyatt mattress - it wasn’t very plush and felt more on the firm side. Pillows were OK and did their job pretty well. The highlight of this hotel is definitely the beautiful compounds it has with a small pond in the middle - with a beautiful Chinese style pavilion tea house that has the majestic mountain in its backdrop. It is also very easy to get a Didi when staying here and you can get to the nearest Ancient towns of Shu He and Baisha easily - both around 10minutes away. The distance from the train station to here around 30 minutes and if you need to get to the airport is around 45 minutes, and to get to the UNESCO Lijiang ancient town, it takes around 20 minutes. You can also reach the mountain easily with this hotel’s location, but when I stayed there, they had a freak March snow (the last time it snowed in March was actually in 2005) which caused the mountain to close so I wasn’t able to make it there. I highly recommend this hotel if you are a Hyatt enthusiast or someone who loves to stay in a classic Chinese style hotel. If your main priority is to be near Lijiang ancient town than the hotels there might be better suited for you but what I love about this location is that that other two ancient towns are very near here and those two towns are actually more rustically more beautiful.

Room was spacious and very comfortable. Food was pretty good. Service was excellent
We enjoyed our stay very much! As our flight was early morning, the team organised breakfast bags for us upon departure. Issues were resolved promptly and efficiently. There are many places to eat close to the hotel. I would definitely stay here again
You would expect more from a resort of this caliber, but unfortunately, it was a disappointing stay for our family's annual trip. Don't get me wrong, the views at the resort were spectacular, but the overall experience was marred by unprofessional service. It certainly didn't meet the standards of a 5-star resort.
Coming from banyan lijiang and Jin Mao mountain hotel (their sister hotel), this hotel is a step down. As we arrived, we saw 6-7 staff at the counter, none greeted us and made us feel welcome. We only have discoverist status and they failed to recognize. During the evening, I observed a staff requesting a guest to give him 5 stars and he will give oxygen tanks for free. I noticed he gave 3 tanks, hence I’ve guess that’s how they get some of their 5 star review. The hotel is beautifully landscaped, our best experience is at the tea house where we spent a couple of hours drinking tea and our daughter spent time feeding the black swans and canoeing. Una hosted us, she was fantastic even though she is an intern. Patient and listening and conversing. Upon check out, we asked for a late check out… knowing the discoverist can potentially get 2pm. We need it because our daughter still naps. We were told that we could only check out at 1pm, but weirdly told us after 2 pm we get charged.. I have never have such response from any Hyatt hotel chains before. It has great restaurants, we had one of our best meals of the trip here. Priced well too. Our conclusion of this hotel is although beautiful and have plenty of hardware, lacks heart ware. The staff seems very fresh and new, and many are uninitiated and looks tired. We didn’t felt as comfortable here vs, the other 2 lijiang hotel but certainly something the hotel can look to improve. :) I hope this review helps!
Beautiful property, fabulous kids activities - canoe, tie & dye, sugar art making, animal feeding. We had the Peking duck for dinner one day and it was delicious. Breakfast had great selection but can do better with English tea offering - they only had chinese tea available. Will recommend to friends.
The offer of a staff who drove me back to the block where my room is was beyond what I can comprehen with my 30+ years of travelling. He offered to carry me upstairs to my third floor unit after knowing I have just cycled 42km for four hours in an area where altitude is 2700m. His gesture and kindness will forever be remembered. Unfortunately I didn't get his name and of course I didn't take the offer. Nonetheless, I am deeply touched. Thank you Jinmao Lijiang 🙏
A lot of fun activities available, very clean, friendly staff, good food, beautiful sceneries. Our villa is well furnished and we are able to see the mountain view from our balcony.
Repeated breakfast items for 3 days stay.
The stay was exceptional, from the service of the staff to the rooms to the entire hotel environment. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, and went the extra mile to make sure the kids and adults were comfortable and happy. The rooms were huge and beautiful, and the kids were so happy to just stay in the hotel for the hotel activities e.g. feeding the animals, tie dye workshop, swimming in the heated pool. Breakfast was also amazing, amenities pristine. View of the mountain was a plus. 100% recommend!!!
近玉龍雪山,整體很舒服,有很多動物,羊駝,有兩隻可愛的邊牧,酒店大堂服務員都很親切!值得住
This is the second time I’ve booked this hotel, and I greatly appreciate the help from Kelly and 慈仁桑珠. I visited in April and loved the service and atmosphere, especially the views of Yulong Mountain. When my dad saw the pictures I sent him, he asked me to book a stay for him in Lijiang. It’s such a beautiful place to find peace and relaxation. Will definitely booked again if we come back.
Beautiful architecture and pleasant mountain views. Great bedding and showers. Hot baths in the spa/pool changing rooms.
Raucous pool in the afternoon due to the number of children. Breakfast is also overpriced due to the absence of alternatives nearby.
服务很好,高尔夫车可以接客人出入,意大利餐厅的pizza和pasta很好吃,中餐厅也好吃。房间宽敞,可以看到山景和酒店的湖景,不错。
Location (4.5/5): Conveniently near Shuhe Ancient Town. Accommodations (3/5): Blend of local charm and modern comfort. Assigned a room with unfinished building view - disappointing. Dining (5/5): Outstanding culinary experience. Service (3/5): Helpful concierge with luggage’s and shuttles. However, the overall customer service falls short compared to other Unbound Collection hotels. No prior outreach for Globalists, and the front desk lacks warmth during interactions.
This is a lovely resort with traditional architecture, beautiful landscaping, great facilities and good service (aside from one grouchy buggy driver who started to argue with us when he misheard the letter of the building we asked to be driven to.) Just wandering around the grounds is pleasant and relaxing, with the animals, the waterways and the historical surroundings. Sometimes in a resort like this things can seem fake or artificial but this place nailed it with high end and well thought out design. The rooms were nicely designed and we had a good view of the snow capped mountain from our balcony. There was even a small fountain in the stream behind the property that gave a relaxing gurgling sound of being near a stream. A few suggestions to improve housekeeping/rooms setup: don't be so stingy on the toilet paper and towels. There should always be at least two full rolls so people don't run out. Also there was a wash basin in the toilet room-- but no liquid or hand soap so it was not very useful if you like to wash your hands with soap and water. Likewise a nice bathtub but no soap dispenser-- so as a result you had one little bar of soap for the whole room and I guess you are supposed to move it around from the bathtub to the two other sinks as needed? Really poor planning for a five star hotel. Breakfast was a very nice buffet spread with various options including live cooking stations. Was organized a little weird for some things and you had to hunt around in different rooms for things. For example no spoons available next to the noodle soup bar and you had to go to another room to find them. We enjoyed the location of the hotel in terms of tranquility but do be aware that it's a longish walk to the beginning of Shuhe ancient town. I'd suggest a ride share or taxi to the entry to the town and save your walking strength for exploring. As an aside, we found the ancient town to be a little disappointing-- overdeveloped, too commercial and crowded for our tastes but many may enjoy the shopping and snacking experience. There are some local restaurants a short walk from the hotel but it seems the better ones are located in the ancient town and not so convenient to walk to. Overall, can't rate this place less than 5 stars and I would consider it a very good value for the price and unique experience, as long as the location works for you
One of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed in. The animals were so cute, my kids loved them
A little far from town but it's ok as it's meant to be a serene escape
JinMao Hotel Lijiang is indeed a 5+-star hotel. However it is the staff who makes the hotel more than 5-stars by their exceptional warm professionalism provided always with smiles. The JinMao Hotel grounds, architecture, and interior design exude serenity, calm and beauty with its lake and the majestic Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.
A very very pleasant stay. Will definitely come back again! Special thanks to Emna for assisting on how to get the free feeding foods for the cute lovely cute animals! It’s a superb kids friendly hotel and relaxing hotel for a family. My kids enjoy it so much! Thanks for the awesome hospitality!
This is a big property. It’s a nice place to relax. Few things can use some upkeeping but that goes with the age of the hotel.
Absolutely amazing experience in a beautiful setting, the staff are so kind especially Emna from Tunisia. Would definitely be back here again.
Lovely experience with them and had an upgrade too! Jasper was really warm-hearted and welcoming to us. I would strongly recommend this place. Good to have a snow mountain view as well as a suite. Perfect combination. Had breakfast too and wow!
The service was excellent! Hotel service staff was very patient, professional and flexible to our request to ensure we have the best stay experience. The hotel environment is luxury, quiet and well designed. Highly recommended for couples traveling to Lijiang.
Aesthetically the property is very nice. The room was clean.
1) All the communal areas (reception, lounge, dining room) weren’t heated and therefore extremely cold. 2) The attentiveness/ attention to detail of the staff is lacking. Possibly due to inexperienced staff members.
Gorgeous view and nice spa facilities.
Very nice property but starting to be old and not well take care of. I didn’t like that the temperature in the room couldn’t go above 19 degrees.
Such a beautiful hotel. The scenery is amazing from every angle. The restaurants and bakery on site were excellent - we were there to celebrate my daughter's birthday and they were able to arrange a cake with candles at very short notice and even delivered a complimentary cake to our room later in the evening! Breakfast buffet had a great spread of western and Asian foods. The kids enjoyed the petting zoo and animal feeding and complimentary hotel activities such as tie dyeing. Overall, an amazing stay.
Nothing
非常好之選
Hotel kindly granted our top floor room request with beautiful views of the lake pavilion grounds and Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from our balcony. Room was large and comfortable. Buggy service was prompt. Housekeeping staff were excellent - professional and non-intrusive. Staff even laid towels under clothes left on bedside table to keep them clean. We particularly enjoyed our breakfast buffet and the weekend seafood bbq dinner buffet. Hotel grounds were palace-like beautiful with garden paths. There is a European bakery, animals and in-house guest activities offered.
Hotel could consider upgrading toilets to full electronic bidet toilets to keep up with newer hotels in Lijiang. It should offer local Yunnan loose leaf tea instead of Dilmah Ceylon teabags and original Nespresso coffee capsules to complement the Nespresso machine in the room. Guests would also appreciate a welcome drink, treat and wet towels upon arrival.
Hailson and Vicky the main two colleague looking after hotel pets were very helpful. One of the highlight of the hotel is the in house pet zoo which my two kids enjoyed every day. Hotel has activities for children can easily not have gone outside. We did spent most of our 3 days in the hotel ground. The only pity is that we all got sick from an afternoon meal in the hotel (not sure what it was, may be it was sandwich with uncooked lettuce).
The outside seating areas in our Villa was stripped bare, it should have cushions on top of the wooden chairs to enjoy a warm summery day. Kitchen should also have basic cutlery, especially missing a microwave.
The location is perfect. The scenery is so beautiful. The staff is incredibly warm and helpful. They make you feel like you’re at home. The hotel and facilities are lovely.
The rooms could have been a little cleaner in the bathrooms.
景色无敌,环境舒服,非常适合度假之选。
非常好,值得拥有
Spacious room. The hotel was quiet, in fact too quiet it felt like a ghost town. The shopping area located inside the property was all closed and locked up, and you don't see that many guests around. Service was subpar, definitely not Hyatt's standards.
아주 고급지구요 호텔내에서 산책만 해도 힐링되네요 수허고전 리장고전 전부 다 가깝구 좋아요 택시도 금방금방 잡아주시고 영어로 소통 가능합니다
Food there is not at the standard of this brand I have tried.
The Property is beautiful. The service by staff is not so great. When arrived , no staff to welcome or help with luggage. Arrived 3pm time slot. During departure 5am - also no one to help and say good bye. StAff is sleepy - not sure if is due to low season and not so many people.
Loved the mountain view. Very large and comfortable rooms. Highly recommended.
Highly recommend, would definitely stay again. Room was large and lovely. the hotel dining was excellent. Only issues were that I couldn't get a cocktail at the bar as it was a beer-only night. Also, the breakfast started at 0630 which I had to miss as I had to leave for an early flight. There was no in-room breakfast available.
Good view, staff are helpful and friendly! Disappointed to the breakfast is not included!
Nice hotel, but the location too far from the old town, the staff need more tranning, book the room from Expedia app. After arrived the hotel, the front desk can’t find the reservation, been waiting for almost 2 hours. Finally I Have to told the staff contect thier reserve department, after they confirm the reservation, have to wait for room clean, the staff don’t feel sorry in holetime.
I am currently staying at the hayatt hotel. The hotel is beautifully managed with traditional-style buildings on a spacious ground. There are many facilities, of which the sauna is particularly spectacular. And above all, I was impressed by the friendly staff at the grand club. Sally and Judy provided a careful and friendly service with a smile. I've booked Hyatt for the first time because member of Accor club. However, due to Sally and Judy kindness, I became more interested in using Hyatt, too.
전반적으로 편안하고 주위환경도 좋으며 수영장도 좋았다. 하지만 특급호텔이라는 것에 비하면 영어사용자가 부족한듯....
職員服務態度友好親切。
Beautiful hotel but bad experience. No service at all. We have to clean the table by ourselves at the Club. The worst was they screwed up my friend ‘s hotel bill, use my credit card to settle the bill then called me and asked us to settle it by ourselves. I have never stayed the hotel like this before.
