Location is great in the center of the old market and close to everything. I did not stay here because of accessibility limitations. There is no elevator. The manager was great about the situation.

Très Sympa, parle anglais, on y mange très bien pour prix local. Vous arrange des sorties et départ bus avec des bons prix. Chambre propre, climatisation. Très bien placé dans la capitale.

Strangely enough it was the most comfortable bed I’ve had in PP, and also the QUIETIST room!!! It was so quiet!! I loved it!!!

The room was semi clean but stunk of cigarettes. And I’m a smoker myself-but not indoors.the a/c smell made me gag. Bed linen was dirty as was the bathroom. Staff was all lovely-The only thing I didn’t like was the young man that greeted me the night I arrived (and offered me a beer and was shocked I don’t drink!) greeted me in the morning absolutely reeking of alcohol-it smelt like he’d been drinking all night and hadn’t stopped. Yeh, I get this is PP and it’s a bit loose, but not everyone loves beer and cigarettes. If that’s the people you want to attract, all good, it’s just not my vibe at all.

Très bon accueil par la famille et plusieurs services proposés tuk tuk, tour, bus. Le restaurant est très bon, petit-déjeuner aussi. La chambre possède plusieurs équipements climatisation, tv, frigo, armoire, bouilloire. Et l'eau chaude ainsi que la pression de l'eau sont très bien. L accès aux étages sans ascenseur ne nous a pas dérangé car le couloir est large et bien éclairé. Les lits sont confortables, nous avons bien dormi. La ruelle n'est pas trop bruyante et l hôtel très bien situé pour sortir et faire des visites à pieds.

La chambre sentait vraiment fort l'humidité car le plafond de la salle de bain avait un dégât des eaux et un tuyau des WC fuit. Et comme la fenêtre donne, ainsi que celle de la chambre, sur une ruelle poussiéreuse avec des pigeons, c'est peu aéré et peu lumineux sans mettre l éclairage. L intérieur du frigo n était pas propre.

propriétaire arrangeant ,emplacement TOP, clim ok et rapport qualité prix exceptionnel . si vous n'avez pas peur de monter pas mal d'escaliers (chambre haut perchée ) c'est l'hôtel qu'il vous faut ! je recommande .

pas mal de marches à monter , grosses valises attention ,mais , c'est la dose de sport journalière .....

L’hôtel est bien situé mais mériterait d’être mieux entretenu.

Weird smell in the rooms

Bei Zimmer Nummer 2 war eigentlich alles okay. Großes, sauberes Zimmer mit Balkon, zentral gelegen, , Steckdosen am Bett, ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen, aber das Preis Leistung Verhältnis war gut

A notre arrivée, on nous a informé que l'on nous proposait une chambre supérieure au même tarif. Nous avons bénéficié d'une grande chambre avec balcon. Merci L'emplacement est au coeur de Phnom Penh. Tout est accessible à pied.

Rien de particulier. Nous précisons que l'hôtel n'est pas équipé d'ascenseur (6 étages au total)

Le personnel est très gentil et l’emplacement est parfait, tout proche du fleuve.

La proximité du centre parfait pour se balader à pied sans problème

5eme étage sans ascenseur (pas un problème pour nous mais c’est mieux de le savoir avant aha) Mur pas très propre et c’est un peu isolé le quartier est vivant mais ne pas traîner tard la nuit

The young staff member was helpful ordering us a tuk-tuk when we checked out. The room was quite big.

The owner or main person on reception was grumpy and unfriendly when we arrived. Not what I needed having a bandaged eye after surgery that day. The place is just rough and not clean, and very noisy. Lots of people sitting in the entrance making a noise, also the street is noisy nearly all night. Bars and people shouting til late, then it's a market street so from 4.30am people were shouting, setting up stalls and so on. Don't stay here for a good night's sleep.Also, the stairs are steep and very badly lit.

A very helpful host. Flexible to move my reservation to accommodate my changed travel plans. It's a simple but clean guesthouse. You can trust the host with your belongings.

The double rooms are on higher floors, but it's not a big inconvenience.

Vlakbij de rivier en diverse restaurantjes.

Bij de boeking stond dat er gratis transfer was vanaf het vliegveld. Dat was niet zo. Er zou gratis een fles wijn klaar staan. Hebben we niet gekregen. De tv op de kamer werkte niet. De wc-bril was kapot. Verder was de kamer niet echt schoon.

בעלים נחמדים ושירותים אך לא דוברים ככ אנגלית.. החדר היה גדול, היו מים חמים במקלחת שזה מצוין, והמיטה הייתה נוחה. ומיקום מעולה קרוב לכל השווקים. סה״כ תמורה טובה למחיר ביחס לזה שזה חדר זול מאוד.

שמו אותנו בקומה 6 ללא מעלית! כשביקשנו חדר בקומה נמוכה יותר נאמר מצידם שהכל תפוס. אז שימו לב כי היינו צריכים כל פעם לעלות 6 קומות ברגל עם כל הציוד שלנו. החדר צריך קצת תחזוקה וניקיון, היו כמה שערות על המיטה , והיה ריח נורא חזק בשירותים של סיגריות.

Good location in regards to being a good start point for areas to see around the city. Close to markets, bars and shops. Big comfy bed. Aircon and fan. Decent shower. Pleasant staff.

Could be cleaner. Needs updating (painting and general things). Bed cover too small for the big bed. Noisy during the night. Pigeons flapping around next to the window.( bring earplugs ).

The receptionist is helpful.

Need to walk by walking stairs, room not so clean and full of bad smell, cigarettes, bathroom not clean, aircon and fan not working well and full of dusty. Pillow and mattress not so clean.

Great location and really lovely owners. Simon was really helpful in planning my trip around Cambodia. His wife is a great cook!! Genuine kind people.

It is a budget hotel so you get what you pay for.

Let's start from the beginning. don't expect a luxury hotel. it's a homestay and not a hotel, that means you have to treat it like your own home. don't forget that you are in Cambodia, so the insects are part of the area in general and not the hotel. There is no elevator but that is true for 95% of all Indochina. The room was huge and the air conditioner although at first you thought it wouldn't work in the end the room had the perfect temperature. The food offered by the restaurant is really excellent. it is ideal for solo travelers and you will definitely meet many interesting people. But really all that I wrote is very little in the hospitality of the host. he will really do everything to protect you. I was impressed that he called me to ask if everything was okay when a guest left my room. I appreciated that very much. Sure, the place may need various fixes, but what the owner offers, and especially the security, is very difficult to find elsewhere.

For the experience I had, I wouldn't change anything.

Simon, the owner, is a great guy. He is very friendly and will help with anything you need. The restaurant downstairs is amazing as well, their American Cheeseburger is better than most in the USA

Das Hotel ist super gelegen, um Sightseeing zu machen und um sich für die Weiterreise zu organisieren. In dem oberen Zimmer mit Balkon, war die Lautstärke der Straße gut zu ertragen. Wir hatten auch eine Klimaanlage im Zimmer, die gut funktionierte.

Der Zimmersafe überzeugt nicht wirklich. Die Kühlschränke schließen nicht richtig. Ein Parkplatz sollte man nicht wirklich erwarten.

Closer to the river.

(1) My room was at 6th floor, but there is no lift in this hotel. It was very difficult for an elderly person like me to climb stairs till 6th floor. The stuff refused to give a room at 1st or 2nd floor, he said, all rooms are full, but it was wrong, I have hardly seen any tourist in this hotel. While doing booking of this hotel nothing was mentioned that there is no lift in this hotel and I have to climb the stairs till 6th floor. (2) The sofa covers of the sofas in the common area in the ground floors are very dirty. The common area is very tiny with inadequate light. (3) AC of my room was not cooling, I needed to use the wall-mounted fan. (4) Bad smell was coming from the bath room. (5) The towels provided to me are very thin, it seems the towels became thin due to use of many years.

The only thing worth recognizing is that the location of this store is not bad. It's a pity that the owner wasted such a good location.

The price/performance ratio is not high. The facilities are old and the house is damp and dark. The air quality in the room is poor.

Lots of stairs to get to the penthouse - we struggled with our bags (we are backpackers) I didn’t feel the safest in the area it was in

Great location almost next to riverside and a photogenic wet market. Rooms are simple but functional. TV has international channels. WiFi works. Restaurant attached. Sells bus tickets that deliver. Very good value for money, but don't expect luxury.

The door locks are fiddly. No elevator for the top floors.

Good place, nice room, very clean and a cute little bar area to have a drink. You probably can't get a better location, being so close to the promenade.

it's really convinced really close by everything you need down to the street restaurant, riverside, royal palace and local maket. the staff and the owner really friendly and helpful if need something just asks. I will choose to stay there again.

In transit for 3 days. I rented a big room with a nice balcony for a good price. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were helpful and friendly. Location is very good, right near riverside. The hotel restaurant had good food at a good price so I mostly ate there. I recommend this guest house for an affordable option with a great location and will likely return.

Great location close to the riverside area

This place is run by Simon and his family. Its sweet to see them live their family life together running this hotel. Its a nice building. No noise. Guests are kind and peaceful. Internet connection is very good. The guy guarding the frontdoor at night is patient and kind with coming and goings. Also when I was grumpy or stressed over some things (sorry) everyone was patient and friendly to me.

There is only one bad thing. But a common thing in Cambodia. The bed. It is murder. The metal springs under the thin cloth you will learn to know with every fiber of your being. Its not uncommon with mattresses like this in Cambodia, Nepal and India. Some matt on the bed would have helped. Everything else is good here! Including the many stairs that keeps you fit if you live on the 5th floor :) :D

I stayed in a large double. It was a good size and had a balcony. Great location not far from the Riverside. Staff, were friendly and helpful.. I would stay there again.

Items stolen from rm, no lifts, very dated. A litte dirty.

Stakknincluding Manager Simon were great. Cozy and economical, met myvexpectations and would recommend for travellers on a budget. Good location that was close to major attractoons.

It was terrible, booked 3 rms for 2 days and 1 rm for 1 day. No lift 6 floors. First night room opened twice and items stolen, buy hotel staff, no help from management, two guests left . Next morning the older guests were scared and also left. We were offered no refund for the 3 rms not used for the second night.

We had booked 3 rooms for 2 nights and 1 room for 1 night. On our first night there a room was broken into and stuff stolen, we had no help from the owners, 2 guests were elderly and all ended up scared, the owner had a tazer bat when we asked him about the robbery. It was a definate inside job, in my opinion. 2 guests left immediately, and the rest the next morning. The owner refused to pay back our second night monies, for the 3 rooms we didnt use and no compensation for the stolen items.

The location is very central and the staff are very nice. Also the shower... very nice temperature and pressure but the bathroom isn't very pretty.

I was at first taken to a standard room, I had requested an outside window because I have breathing difficulties and I was taken to a very small dingy room. It smelled of damp because the "outside" window opened onto nextdoor's wall so there was no ventilation. I quickly realised that the pictures on the website were very different however, when I complained, the owner kindly put me in a much larger room. The decor is very dated throughout but the owner is very kind and advised that he had bought the property just before the pandemic so I'm guessing he's not been able to do any refurbs yet. Everything very clean which is the main thing. I'd advise not to book buses to Ho Chi Mình from here though because even though a tuk tuk comes to pick you up from right outside, the bus driver didn't assist me at Möc Bái for my visa and even left me there. Being alone without his support, meant the staff at Möc Bái overcharged me. And after paying the bribes, I then had to pay for another bus service to HCMC. I hope the nice owner reads this as I'm sure if he knows that the bus company do this, he'll stop sending them business and collaborate with a different bus company.

Very friendly staff, excellent coffee and ideal location. Good food and service. Very nice communal area for sitting chatting eating and socialising.

There wasn't much of a view even from floor 10. Some of the furniture could be renewed I feel. The front of the reception area could be decorated a little better.

The staff at Velkommen are very helpful and friendly. If you want or need something they will do their best to fix it for you. They are patient and do their best to make your trip comfortable.

there could of been a few more items in the bathroom, like bigger soap and maybe some cologne.

Location, the bed was comfortable, the food was tasty. The owner & the staff are very kind and helpful. The room is spacious.

Not sockets near the bed, only near the TV. A few switches would need to be repaired, the shower which is a little old as well as the toilet flush.

Location was great. Room was big and clean. Bed was okay and clean.

Room was very noisy. You could hear every sound from busy streets and restaurants. A/C was very weak and no hot water in shower. Towels were dirty and room smelled bad. Room interior looks like you are sleeping in a swimming hall.

I was with 3 teenagers, Big rooms cambodian style, clean,, very quiet, closes to everything and great value for you're money. Lots of steps up. Owner after realizing we forgot a bag, brought to us at our buss station to Kartie.
