Enjoyed the pool, our room and Cates hot breakfasts! Very reasonable..a stones throw away from town…

Llave inadecuada para cerrar y abrir la habitación. Alberca en mal estado, los mosaicos del interior de la alberca están desprendidos y lastiman los pies al pisarlos ,dejando también zonas filosas que pueden provocar lesiones en piernas. Jardín sucio con excrementos de las mascotas de la encargada.

The location is perfect for short or long term stay. The rooms were in great condition and having AC was a blast! The owner and the staff were so kind making breakfast every morning, replenishing towels, toiletries etc and very communicative and helpful with questions or concerns! Beautiful property and quiet location :)

Very nice place to stay. Great upstairs deck and nice pool. The staff and the owner do a great job. The property is clean and well cared for. It’s is also in an excellent location across the street from the beach and close to town.

Nice and clean feel safe

Casa Misifus is an excellent choice: easy quick stroll to the beach, Malecon and Centro. Quiet and safe area yet close to great restaurants. Well appointed private suite with kitchenette. Lovely pool. Cate serves a hot breakfast every morning and is attentive, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

No se los recomiendo muy mala atención y servicio, no hay anfitrión hay que esperar a que te abran, no es hotel no encuentras a quien preguntar algo, no te limpian la habitación ni te cambian toallas estuve solo dos días por fortuna y no volvería a quedarme ahí, si bajas poco antes de las 10 o ya no te dan el desayuno o te lo dan de mala manera, la cama king size son en realidad dos colchones individuales incómodos, tal vez se elija por económico pero no por eso se tiene que recibir un pésimo servicio de quien anda por ahí atendiendo de mala gana si es que te la encuentras por qué nunca se ve a nadie, fui el único huésped y al estar ahí supe por qué, además está en la orilla donde no hay nada te recomiendo hay muchos hotelitos cerca a la playa (malecón) con el mismo precio y mejores instalaciones y sobre todo buen trato

La experiencia es coherente con el precio. El personal es muy amable y atento. Es muy silencioso, realmente pude tener un descanso reparador.

Calidez del personal que nos atendió. Alberca climatizada excelentemente. Tranquilidad para descansar.

¡Regreso seguro a casa Misfius! La limpieza, tranquilidad, y las instalaciones superaron nuestras expectativas. Curiosamente, en persona se ve más lindo y amplio la habitación que en las imágenes, y eso que nos dió confianza desde las fotos. La recepcionista fue muy amable y respetuosa. Nos tocó suerte de ir en temporada baja, fuimos los únicos huéspedes y sentimos que la playa la tuvimos todo para nosotros.

Excelente atención de su propietaria, en estancias cortas te ofrece desayuno (café, fruta, huevo, pan tostado). Nos encantó la alberca climatizada

We had wonderful time at Casa Misifus. Lity was a perfect host, the view is great, the grounds lovely and the pool an absolute delight. We will come again.

I liked Misifus because it is ideally located. Walking distance to shopping, groceries, restaurants and the ocean but far enough away from the town centre to be quiet. Kate is helpful and speaks great English. It has an awesome upper deck that you can relax in, play cards or just watch the people and the ocean. There is a beautiful pool to swim or just cool off in. And for short stays, breakfast was included and cooked fresh every day. The property and rooms are very clean. The kitchen has very thing you need and they give you a big bottle of water which lasted us 9 days. The water is hot in the shower. Everyone was welcoming and friendly.

Cate is a welcoming and super helpful host. Casa Misifus has been spotlessly maintained and hotel is within walking distance to Barra De Navidad core. The sunsets from the hotel are beautiful.

I liked the privacy and options the location gave us. In particular Kate the manager was very helpful in local information. Great place to relax and enjoy Mexico.

Kate is a super conscientious host. She was always willing to help and offer suggestions. We enjoyed our time so much that we've booked for next year. The sunsets from the roof top patio were amazing. Many thanks Kate

Cómodo, tranquilo, bonito

Me gustó la tranquilidad, las habitaciones muy limpias y ordenadas. Nuestra anfitriona y las personas son muy amistosos y atentos. Queda a 10min a pie del malecón de Barra de Navidad. Sin duda volvería, lo recomiendo mucho.

The pool area is beautiful and roof top terrace offers a wonderful view. The complex and rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and extremely helpful. The location is within walking distance of the ocean and town core with its restaurants, stores and weekly market.

The property was clean, very comfortable and close to town for restaurants and entertainment. Very walkable.

We enjoyed the location, a nice distance from the centre of town and a block from the beach. The building, pool and surroundings are attractive and well maintained. Cate was always easy to communicate with and very helpful throughout our stay.

Fue una estadía muy agradable. Cate y el personal son muy atentos y amables. El lugar es muy bonito y limpio. Y aunque está a unas cuadras de de la playa, esto ayuda para que por las noches sea tranquilo.

Cate es una excelente anfitriona, el lugar muy bonito, bien mantenido y limpio. Incluso te brinda amenities. La alberca limpia y todo muy tranquilo. Definitivamente es para adultos, lo cual lo hace una estancia tranquila y de un excelente descanso.

Fantastic pool and rooftop terrace are amazing and Fantastic staff. Internet was at times weak, but that is standard for small Mexican towns especially during busy times. Bed was supposed to be a King, but ended up as two twins pushed together but was not a problem since they used King mattress covers and sheets. Great location, an easy walk to Centro but far enough away to not have party noise bother you.

Very nice big clean room. Happy to have the little kitchen. Grounds and pool clean. Beach is across the street which you can rent umbrellas/tables and hardly anyone is there. Close to all facilities.

Súper completo, limpio y acogedor, el lugar es súper tranquilo y nada ruidoso, la vista y los atardeceres increíbles, los desayunos muy ricos y el café, Kate súper buen anfitrión, definitivo en los primeros lugares de mi lista para vacacionar..

Cada Misifus es un lugar limpio, bonito y apacible donde es posible descansar. Las instalaciones cuentan con muy buen mantenimiento y el personal es muy atento. Por su ubicación es posible caminar a la playa o a la zona turística, o ir en auto a playas cercanas. Muy recomendable!

es un lugar muy agradable para descansar, ya que al ser pocas habitaciones no hay tanto ruido. la limpieza es muy buena y la administradora es muy agradable.

Nos resibio un perro ladrando lo cual fue incomodo. No son muy amables, limpieza le doy un 8. No volvería.

Todo muy limpio y organizado, excelente ubicación, muy tranquilo para descansar, tiene alberca en el primer piso y terraza en el tercer piso. Está mucho mejor de lo que se ve en fotos

La atención de Cate es excelente. La alberca y ubicación también me gustó mucho. Faltó un televisor y un horno de microondas.

Rooms were clean and spacious, nice pool and great rooftop deck for sunset viewing. Property is very secure, and pleassnt staff. Microwaves in the kitchenete would be nice , breakfast was limited but good enough to start your day!

We have stayed at Casa Misifus twice now. We will be returning again and again in the future. The rooms are simple, but very clean and well kept. The staff is friendly and ready to help at a moments notice. The grounds are beautifully kept. The rates...excellent. We couldn't ask for any more.

Wonderful property, spacious, clean, pretty room with a comfortable giant bed, couch and table with chairs, fully equipped kitchen (minus microwave). Gorgeous pool surrounded by tropical plants. Great communication with Cate, instructions on how to find hotel and more. Simple but solid Breakfast (fruit, eggs, beans, french toast). Relatively quite neighborhood, easy walk downtown. Nice ocean views from sun deck. Would definitely come back!

We came to Barra for a day from Manzanillo to visit friends from back home in Canada. Casa Misifus fit our needs perfectly and the hosts Kareen and Ricardo were over the top friendly and helpful. The room was not fancy or on the beach but it was clean, quiet and secure. The home made breakfast was outstanding. A short walk to the main beach and downtown area.

Everything about this place was awesome. The breakfasts were delicious, and the rooftop was a relaxing place to watch the sunset. I cannot wait to go back.

Property is in a location that is convenient to the town center and easy walking distance. There was no shampoo or hair dryer in the room. We had our own so this was not a problem for us but could be for others. We were not able to connect to the internet during the stay.

Very personal care. My husband was sick and I wasn’t feeling well the day we left and they made us a home remedy that was very helpful. Cate also bought a hairdryer for me as they didn’t have one on the property. The property was beautiful, clean and comfortable. It has a nice pool and lovely terrace with a great view. The breakfasts were excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Nice enough place, bad location

Attractive large 'casa' hotel. Good 3 story building with 11 large suites, patios, and good fair size swimming pool. Well furnished and equipped. Alright breakfast. Competent manager/caretaker. Alright staff. Suitable for long stay.

Lovely and clean with a beautiful courtyard and pool and just outside the main part of town (10 minutes walk).

I went in the off-season, so it was very quiet. The room was clean, and the kitchenette was well supplied for cooking - bit more than the usual pot, pan, and a couple of plates. There was no TV in the room, which is relaxing. Parking was available in front as well as the side. The beach view from the terrace was beautiful at sunset.

This was our second visit to Casa Misifus and it was just as lovely as our first in April 2016.

Very comfortable place to stay. Beautiful pool and garden area. Easy walking distance to beach, stores and restaurants.

This is a lovely hotel, with nice staff. Not the best place to go if you are not a dog lover. We had the unfortunate experience of being robbed during our stay, but the hotel staff went above and beyond to help us. For the most part it is a secure hotel however there is one exposed wall that needs security improvement. We believe this work is in progress.

Mucho gracias Casa Misifus! We were more than comfortable in our large and very clean rooms. Cate was friendly and very knowledgeable about Barra. The location is very close to town and at the same time just far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

Was a great place to stay, Kate and her staff were very kind and helpful rooms and hotel was prefect can’t wait to head back again!!

Hotel room and as described and very clean. The breakfasts were wonderful! Hotel was not 100 meters from the beach; it was close to a kilometer as the crow flies and a 10 to 15 minute walk to gain access. The only place to sit outside at the hotel was on the roof which had 2 umbrellas and a couple planters. One had to stand to have any view. Hotel is beside a busy highway and across the street from a very active helicopter pad. We were grateful that Cate allowed us to stay only 5 of the planned 14 day stay so we could move to another hotel that offered the beachside location and comfort that we were looking for.

We stayed there for 2 weeks, just outside enough of the centro to be quiet and close enough to be there in 5 minutes. Very nice people. A bigger town close by and many cheap buses to get there. The beach is a little steep and good waves, one has to be careful when walking by the water or could get wet more than wanted.

MISFIS WAS EASY TO LOCATE--AND REALLY PLEASED WITH CLEANLINESS--one of the cleanest hotels we have ever stayed in.Would of maybe liked a TV--or radio--but understand why there was not--ensured quiet Breakfast was great--owners/staff really tried to please

We stayed there for 3 nights and we had a great, comfortable time with specially a great breakfast every morning.

Casa Misifus is a small, quiet hotel oasis (no children under 8) overlooking the beach and walking distance to everything. There are long term guests and week about guests. The women who manage the hotel are lovely, made us Mexican breakfast each morning and gave us suggestions - and directions - for things to do and see. We delighted in making friends with the 2 resident dogs as well. Take a laptop/tablet to use the consistent internet access for online entertainment (i.e netflicks) as there is (blissfully) no tv. We would return in a moment and highly recommend.

Great place to stay, with very clean rooms. The pool is also very clean and feels great on a hot afternoon. The staff are very, very helpful and equally friendly. All details are thoughtfully organized & designed. The spa that is part of the hotel gives great massages, with very professional standards, and amazingly relaxing results.

Casa Misifus was perfect for my wife and I. We loved having a refrigerator and kitchenette, the a/c was SO nice to come home to, and the pool was perfect and refreshing. The proprietors were friendly and helpful and very accommodating about our breakfast needs. Overall it was a great stay and we would definitely recommend it. Our only complaint is that it's a much longer walk to the beach than we'd thought. A lot of sites list it as one block from the beach, but really you have to walk into town to actually access the beach, about a ten-minute walk. The way it sounds on other sites, and the way it looks on the map make it seem like the beach is right across the street.

This is a lovely place to come and unwind - the owners put their heart and soul into everything they do. Remember to visit their spa - wow!!!!

Casa Misifus was a lovely place to stay. The room was very clean, and a good size. Good water pressure and lots of hot water. The breakfast each day was good, and the pool was very refreshing. My only complaint, was that the rooms where a bit sparce for me. They needed a bit more furniture, and the kitchenette could have had a few more basis items..I was always going down to the kitchen to get glasses..cutting boardss, etc...Due to the proxiemty to hwy, there was a fair bit of noise each day, but not overwhelming. Overall, it was a good stay, and Casa Misifus was very comfortable, and quite nice. I would stay there again.
