La alberca está amplia y limpia, en mi caso solo fui una noche, llegué muy tarde el sábado y entregué mi habitación el domingo a las 12, pero me permitieron disfrutar de las instalaciones hasta las 5 de la tarde sin costo, eso me agrado mucho, pude aprovechar toda la tarde el tiempo en la alberca. Además el personal fue muy amable, y yo conseguí una habitación a muy bien precio por medio de Booking.

Hotel is in great spot at end of canal, we have friends moored in a yacht on the bay, was easy for him to pick us up in the dinghy. The staff were great and looked after our bags when we left for 4 nights before returning.

The pool was excellent and clean always . The staff in the restaurant was exceptional . Maria is terrific as a calming force and communicated with all guests . Terrific host .

The maintenance on my room , 220 , wasn’t current . Where the cement texture on the walls meets the floor , very stained and dirty . The bathroom textured corners have holes deep enough to hide spiders and alacrans . Last year when I stayed the cleaaning staff was exceptional ( Arachela) , I loved the complete cleaning . This year the cleaning was incomplete and hurried .

Older establishment but relatively well maintained and very clean. Pool and gardens are excellent.

This is a very affordable, clean, and beautiful location. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the pool water was really hot it could have helped to have the Jets turned on to have the water moving and not get us hot.

El hotel es muy limpio, tiene varias áreas con jardín muy bien cuidadas. Todos los días hicieron limpieza de la habitación, las camas muy cómodas, cero ruido, ideal para descansar. La alberca una delicia, todo el tiempo con agua calientita. En general todo estuvo muy bien en el hotel. El personal del hotel muy amable. El hotel es tal cual las imágenes, se encuentra a unas cuantas cuadras de la avenida principal, a la cual se puede llegar caminando sin problema.

Sería bueno colocar barandales de fácil acceso y salida en alberca para personas mayores, llevo 23 años visitando este hotel y los últimos años hemos pedido esto se mejore, mis papás ya no podrán ir más si esto no cambia, no solo mis papás si no todos los viejitos batallan al salirr

We stayed in the condo's by the canal because we wanted kitchens and they are by the long pool that parallels the canal, where the fishing boats and water taxis can come right in front of the rooms. The condos are adequate but outdated, have minimal kitchen equipment (varies from room to room). There is no microwave just an outdated stovetop. The kitchen sink in ours was pretty knarly, faucet was rusted out with very poor water pressure. There is also so hairdryers in the rooms and toiletries don't include lotion or shower caps. The regular rooms are much nicer and have been updated. There was one big complaint, of the restaurant. The last night we ordered Nacho's, and they came burned so we sent them back. We had ordered sour cream and guacamole on the side of Nachos, but did not want either when we sent Nachos back. The waitress brought the guacamole anyway and when we told her we didn't want it without the Nachos she said that SHE would be charged for them, so of course we took it and paid for it. We thought that policy was very unfair to the waitress. There was no apology from the kitchen or management regarding the burnt Nachos, but they didn't charge for them only the side of guacamole.

We had a short but excellent stay. We loved the beds, pillows, and the whole Villa. We had an exceptional time, for sure. Everyone is very kind and always willing to help. We will return again.

It was a perfect getaway, chill, pool was warm and perfect to jump in.

I liked the friendly staff, and I enjoyed the atmosphere around the pool on Mondays

I didn’t like that there was no fridge, iron or hairdryer in the room, and that the towels were so worn. I also didn’t like the restaurant service or food because service was slow. I ordered and prepaid for a coffee but it wasn’t delivered until I chased it up. It finally arrived in a cup with a huge crack in it and there was no milk supplied so so by the time the milk came it was cold :(

Excellent value. Beautiful grounds. Friendly staff. Exceptionally clean. Very safe and secure. Compliments to the staff and property manager. Just be aware it is a bit of a walk to the beach, but it’s a pleasant walk.

Walking distance to Barra de Navidad & near the beach also safe taxi to bring back to the airport. Enjoy our stay!!! Thank you

Rooms were a good size, lots of hot water, and nice pool and grounds. Friendly and helpful staff.

If you have scent allergies, this is not the hotel for you. The laundry detergent smell is so strong it is almost suffocating and will cause a serious allergic reaction. Lovely patios/balconies but no seats to sit outside.

Wonderful stay at Cabo Blanco! We have come back to this hotel for many years, and it is always a great experience! The staff is friendly and very helpful and the facilities and rooms are very clean! We love the pool and they continue to maintain it well. It is big enough to swim and get some good exercise. It is nice to have a restaurant onsite, with good food. They have music events at the poolside, and they are adding more dinner music events. This year we had a fabulous dinner, while listening to an excellent pianist. It’s perfect for a cozier or romantic meal. The location is great…close enough to town to walk; and yet, provides a comfortable family atmosphere for your stay. We always feel like we are coming back home, after exploring the town. They can also bring a taxi or you can use the water taxi. They are on the canal..so the water taxi is a fun method of transportation, to or from town. (A quick, scenic 10 min ride). We often walk into town…then water taxi back, in the evening. They have tennis/Pickleball courts; and there is an active Pickleball club that plays there.

The staff were very friendly and the rooms were kept very clean. The pool area was very nice. It is an older hotel, so I think would benefit from some updating and repairs.

Price is right

Nice location in safe Barra neighborhood - - nice staff, spacious comfortable rooms and very good rates. Book on Expedia for best price (vs booking or directly with hotel). Nice restaurant - don't add on $12 for breakfast just order a la carte and pay less. Lovely large pool with volleyball net. Quiet but can sometimes hear people next door or outside and/or ac running. (I used the ceiling fan). Great deal.

This is the second time we have been there and love the property. It’s quiet and has a real family feel to how it’s run. All staff are friendly and accommodating. We really appreciated Alex and Jami.

Nice grounds but no where to sit except the pool area. The decor is very dated. The water from the fixtures in the room had a strange smell, like iron.?? The breakfast buffet on Sunday was very limited in choice.

First trip to Barra so I picked this hotel after reviewing several options. It’s a short walk from the main street and the bus station where we were arriving. Our room was clean and adequate but disappointingly at the back of the building when the room photo showed a view of the pool. The beds were surprisingly comfortable for Mexico. The safe did not work so the hotel offered a safety deposit box at the front desk. I purchased the breakfast included option and did not regret this decision. Service was below expectation and staff were decidedly unfriendly. But the breakfast was excellent. The pool was clean and seating/shade was plentiful most days. The hotel hosts ‘open mike’ musical afternoons where older Canadian and US people gather to serenade themselves and those unfortunate guests who were hoping to spend a quiet afternoon at the pool! WiFi was good and we felt safe. Would I stay again? Probably not - at least not during the winter ‘snowbird’ season.

Our original room through expedia was probably the worst room on the property. The door to the patio was so narrow one had to turn sideways to get outside. The view was a wall to a busy road. The patio itself was a utility cover. The general manager, Maria, quickly resolved the problem and got a nice pool-view room for us. Overall, the property was very nice. Lots of families on weekend. Otherwise, quiet. Fantastic staff.

The pool was perfectly maintained, service was incredible and the location was quiet yet close to everything.

This was a very nice hotel within walking distance of the main downtown area. It is an older property and needs some upgrading, however it was very clean and well maintained. Food at the restaurant on site was well prepared and reasonably priced. The main disadvantage to the property is lack of amenities such as a small fridge, or coffee/tea makers, or hair dryers.

What I first thought was a drawback became a big plus. It was a little bit from the beach and downtown. 5-10 minute walk. That ended up being a great getaway from hubub.

Wifi was sketchy. Also, there was slash burning nearby that made some evenings smoky. That was beyond their control but was an issue.

The staff was amazing! Especially, Edwardo! He went over and above for us. Also, really enjoyed the Monday afternoon music by the pool!

This is an older property with charm. great location. Within walking distance to the malecon. staff was great. property was beautiful, nice big pool, and pickleball courts. The food was good as well.

We booked too many nights accidentally but were told we could not get a refund for the night we did not stay

I didn't like the fact that the front desk staff did not speak english and was very hard to communicate. When i asked about the complimentary breakfast, they could not understand and/or said it wasn't included. (if you go on expedia, it says it is included) (might have been, because there wasn't many people staying there and they didn't want to set up). I contacted Expedia to change my reservation before the date they said I could, the only thing i heard back was, that they couldn't connect with the resort. (so i paid for an extra day). I asked about changing rooms to a king bed, because my reservation said 2 doubles or a king, they said resort was full - not correct. we were stuck in the very back of resort. Pickleball courts were good. Little disappointed overall. I am not a picky person or expect 5 star service.
