Everything about our stay at Ward Avenue was excellent. The lodge in the garden was charming, very comfortable and full of character. The host was a joy and couldn't have been more welcoming. The breakfast, served on your own terrace, was outstanding

Location was great. Private & quiet. Hosts were attentive & friendly. Any issues were resolved quickly. Loved the breakfasts. Felt secluded but just a short walk from the town centre.

Il B&B si trova a meno di 10 minuti dall'approdo del traghetto pedonale quindi molto comodo. I proprietari sono due persone veramente gentili e disponibili. Non siamo abituati alla colazione inglese e ci hanno fatto la colazione continentale senza problemi e chiedendoci anche i nostri gusti. La camera è molto pulita, il letto comodo e il bagno spazioso. Hanno inoltre un grande giardino dove fare la colazione tempo permettendo molto carino, dove giocano due simpatici bassotti.

Very accommodating hosts

The garden was like a secret exotic garden. Our cabin has its own terrace which was lovely to sit out in the evening. The cabin was beautifully decorated in a rustic style. We had our breakfast outside in the garden which was lovely.

The amount of mosquitoes which forced us to have the windows and doors closed, which in turn made the cabin like a sauna inside

Perfect location for visiting Cowes, Carisbrooke and Osbourne House. Jonathan and Melissa were perfect hosts. We were able to store our bikes safely outside our chalet overnight. The gardens were lovely and the accommodation private. The breakfast was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay.

A wonderful cabin in a beautiful garden with very lovely hosts. Great breakfast and a perfect location.

Far better ambiance and breakfast than hotel. Parking a bit tight. Might not take car another time. Taxis excellent and ferry for car expensive.

So relaxed we left bedroom door open when out. Charming little dogs are a bit naughty so don’t. My fault.

Super charming, very nicely appointed with beautiful gardens. The hosts were super hospitable. The breakfast was fantastic and hotly prepared by the hostess. Very nice and personalized service.

A bit further away from town, a good 15 mins walk with our luggage. The lady was so kind to drop us to the ferry station on the way back. The room was also tiny.

We had a wonderful stay at this B&B. The room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully presented. The hosts were warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and had plenty of choice. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

A bit different to the usual B&B experience, with a stay in your own 'garden room'. Engaging hosts. Huge and comfortable bed. With breakfast served on your own personal veranda in the garden. Lovely all round.

Only real issue was parking. It was fine, but if they're full maybe not as guaranteed / convenient as you might hope.

Beautiful garden and rooms, conservatory was so pretty. Breakfast was lovely and owners so kind and hospitable. Location was brilliant for getting around Cowes and to busses. Dogs were so cute and friendly too. Room was clean and comfortable. Felt very homely.

Although there was a big tree in front of the window, at night it felt a bit exposed in the bathroom as no curtain and clear glass. There were a few stains on our sheets. Walls / floors quite thin so on second day we could hear downstairs tenants up and about very early and people on drive which woke me up.

We would highly recommend this place, superb breakfast. We arrived on the hottest day of the year and the surrounding helped cool us down

I would have liked a service on the second day - fresh supplies of milk, toilet roll and water as well as clean cups (using the same ones all weekend wasn't very nice) and bins emptied.

The chalet we stayed in was situated in a beautiful, secluded garden. It looked quite magical at night with the solar lights and we even saw a red squirrel. The décor was lovely and the bed was really comfortable. We had breakfast in the conservatory, a lovely space over looking the gorgeous garden - the full English was delicious.

The toilet was a little noisy.

Great location next to the park so ideal for our dog, quite setting.

Lovely room and amazing garden..the hosts were friendly and attentive.. parking was limited but the host did help to get me parked close to the property (my van was too large for there driveway) Breakfast was 10/10.

Lovely cabin, breakfast on the terrace a highlight with a beautiful daschound to play stick throwing games as an extra of wanted. We will be back

There wasn’t anything to dislike but I have dodgy knees so the stairs to our rooms were challenging however most people would be happy, just old age kicking in, would definitely book the cabin in the garden next time, just because I am old 😁

Jonathan and Melissa made us extremely welcome. We had a well-equipped indoor room. There is a lovely garden the rear exit to which leads to a nice short cut into town. Breakfast is cooked to order and served in a bright conservatory. Vegetarians and vegans are catered for. I'm looking forward to staying again and will try one of the chalets next time.

Great location and no issues finding parking outside. Hosts are very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was lovely.

Very small TV, luckily we came for a wedding so we weren't in the room long but could maybe have a bigger size. The bedding and pillow case had stains on them but the room and bathroom etc were very clean. We found it quite expensive for the facilities it has but I dont want it to come across as negative as the hosts are lovely and welcoming and the location is a short 10minute walk to a high street and very close (20 minutes) to the fisbourne ferry terminal. We dont have dogs so having dogs at the breakfast table wasnt what we would choose while eating but this is completely my fault as it is advertised as a dog friendly accomodation.

This was perfect for our needs, although I wouldn't say it was a romantic place to stay (why ask that question?) The host was we3lcoming and offered advice as to how to get to town (through the garden) and to find our way to the coastal path next day.

Really cute chalet in a secret garden style setting, very close to The Royal Yachf squadron and central Cowes. Quiet, big bed, lovely finishing touches and an incredible breakfast the next day served by really friendly hosts in their home. It’s a classic BnB feel and they made us feel really welcome and the added privacy of the chalets is a great option.

Everything was perfect.

The property was so lovely a cosy, it felt like our own little oasis. You’d never know it was at the back of the garden. A lot of care and thought went into the details, the breakfast and hosting us. We loved meeting the owners and their sweet pups! We also liked being able to come and go without going through the main part of the house. There’s an exit out the back the allowed you to come and go. It’s walking distance to the shops and restaurants so ideal if you want to enjoy a nice drink without driving.

Nothing we didn’t like or enjoy. I’d perhaps suggest clearer signage but no complaints at all! Thank you for having us.

Lovely breakfast, the stewed apples was an unexpected treat. Gardens were amazing, wish we had more time to sit out and enjoy the tranquility.

Nous avons passé un super séjour ! Nous étions logé dans un charmant cottage. Le jardin est féerique. Emplacement pas trop mal, nous avons pu tout faire à pied et en bus. Excellent accueil des hôtes et petit déjeuner délicieux.

The house was lovely, with a nice garden and rooms. The location was ideal and with excellent proximity to Cowes.

The mattress needs to be replaced. I could feel the springs. It was not very supportive, and I suffer from a bad back. I woke up twice in the night due to the state of the mattress. My wife also found the experience uncomfortable.

This is a very nice bed and breakfast a short walk from Cowes town centre. The hosts are friendly and accommodating and the room was clean and well appointed. We very much enjoyed our cooked breakfast in the conservatory with views of the garden. We'd recommend this place to all visitors.

Lovely experience and stay. We had mum and her little dog with us and they both felt cherished and safe in the delightful lodges. I can’t rave enough about the great breakfast . The best I’ve had in a small hotel. Will be back.

We stayed in the house for the first night and were upgraded to a chalet for the second night. All facilities were clean and worked well. The bed in the chalet was very large and comfortable and the location amongst the trees is so natural and romantic. Our hosts were friendly and incredibly helpful, we were provided with an excellent breakfast both days.

It is a cute little “chalet” down the bottom of the garden. The room was very comfortable and private and it had everything we needed plus a bit more! Two friendly, polite dogs and an inquisitive little wren who would join us for breakfast! The cooked breakfast was very substantial along with yogurt, cereal & coffee. There was plenty of free street parking nearby. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

We had a very pleasant stay. The en-suite room was spotlessly clean and the included breakfast was amazing. The house is located in a qiuiet area near the city centre, with a park next door and incredible gardens in the property. Jonathan and Mellisa were exceptionally kind and made our trip truly special. Gorgeous garden with fairy lights at night. Entertaining wildlife to watch - saw a red squirrel in the garden and had a very tame robin join us for breakfast each day. Lovely breakfast. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Can walk into Cowes town centre. Highly recommend.

Needed a relaxing time and that was exactly what we got, the lodges in the garden feel very back to nature but also have all the creature comforts, Breakfast on the porch each morning was the perfect way to start the day. We will be back again next year

What an absolutely gorgeous little hideawy, nestled in a beautiful garden. The owners were so accommodating, especially as I booked very last minute. I can't wait to go back agsin, and will definitely book the garden room.

A very interesting house in an amazing botanical garden hide-away, with very private rooms /chalet and a delicious breakfast, only a short walk from the harbour and restaurants. Jonathan and Melissa were really friendly and interesting.
