Amazing stay

This hotel is always my go to when we travel to Sudbury. Though it is an older hotel it is still very clean and the rooms are spacious. It is close to all the main shopping.

Looks newer hotel , well kept. Only complaint is the pool very much disappointed, spa hot tub not operational and chlorine smell was very strong in the pool and facilities.just too much as if they did not want anyone in the pool area.

It would have been a nice stay if it hadn't been for the 4 am fire alarm wake-up call. Some sort of an electrical glitch, apparently.

This stay, the Hotel really did their best to Accommodate us. We had to be at a Family member B-Day party at 3 pm, so we messaged the Hotel the day before asking if we could check in at 2:00 and if we could have a ground floor. We arrived just after 1 pm, they had no problem with us checking in and gave us a ground floor. No issues, no problems, no questions asked. We arrived in our room and the A/C was on full, so during this heat wave, the room was very cool. The Breakfast was great, and we will most certainly stay here again.

Meant expectations, very clean and great staff! Pool and hot tub were great, and the free breakfast buffet offered many options to enjoy. Would come back again!

Room was clean, bed confortable,room could have been a little more updated for the price we paid. The breakfast was ok but could have been better. No bacon, powered eggs. Americans love their bacon and sausage gravy and biscuits.

We enjoyed our stay! Everything is in its place, clean and calm, pleasant and polite, all around a great environment! We feel welcomed and safe!

Breakfast only till 9am? After a stressful day with a death in the family, my wife and I never woke up until 8:45am just to find out that breakfast was not going to be available, sure we could set an alarm but why should we have to do that? The plug for the bathtub wasn't working, my wife is not a shower person, so leaving in the morning unbathed was highly unsatisfactory. Won't be coming back, this was our 3rd stay at this hotel.

A short stay however the hotel is located close to amenities and convenient for my travel route. The hotel is clean, friendly staff and great breakfast!

I just love staying here,, its humble.

A very nice hotel. The suite king room was great (although it was a very slim space between the bed and the Heating/cooling unit. Had to squeeze by. The room was very clean, and the seating area was great. Wish the TV in the bedroom was a bit higher. We did have difficulty logging into the Wi-Fi. It is a web based connection, never seen this before. Noticed after that the desk had instructions. We will know for next time. The breakfast was very good. We will be back.

The room was so clean and staff was so friendly! I loved the jacuzzi and was exactly what I needed! I loved the layout of the room so you could be in the jacuzzi and watch tv through a server style window. Overall was a great stay!

Love this place I stay here often

We felt judged the moment we walked in. We both have great jobs and hadn’t taken a vacation in over two years so it was deserved. We felt like dirt, not good enough. On top of feeling like a peasant the property next door was under construction and at 630 the rock breaker started and didn’t stop all day. So unless you look like the part and like to hear metal against rock all day I would not recommend.

Always a wonderful stay in a Marriott hotel. Always clean, always great staff and never leave unhappy. Room sizes are fantastic! However, they need to sell their shampoo and conditioner in Canada. I love it.

We were welcomed promptly and courthous

It was very noisy for the amount all customers paid. I believe there was a conference of some sort but they let their children run around the hallways and elevator at all hours of the night, as there was only one elevator to use.

Definitely enjoyed our stay, and this hotel will be a choice for us all the time. We like the Marriott hotels, very friendly staff and beautiful rooms thank you for the comfort of your hotel.

Nice clean hotel with a good variety of breakfast items including healthy options such as nuts and eggs although there was limited fresh fruit. We went during March break so the pool was very busy and noisey with children and there was no where to sit so we didn't end up using the pool or hot tub. The pool water felt comfortable and the slide looked fun but you have to book your time ahead of time as it gets very busy during waterslide hours (Which you can only use when they have a lifeguard on duty) Our room faced the highway and we could hear road noise but we really enjoyed the large room with lots of closet space, a table the mini kitchen to prepare or warm up food. Bathroom was VERY small so a large person might have trouble manoeuvring it. Over all a nice stay close to many shopping and eating places. I liked that they had a bar onsite and you could order food in the evening if you didn't want to leave the hotel.

Everything was clean and the staff were nice and friendly. Enjoyed the jacuzzi room. Great location for shopping. Close to the mall and Costco. The only problem was the pot holes when you turn onto the street but not much the hotel can do about that, that’s a city issue.

Wonderful place to stay

My stay here was great up and until the kids playing hockey in the hallway and running back and forth until after 10pm on Friday night! Hockey parents, the hallways of hotels arent your kid's playground! Other people pay to stay in the same hotel as you so show some respect for others.

We (Mom, Dad and son) were there for 2 nights. Lots of pros: The location is very good; not like Sudbury is a huge city, but nice that there were a number of restaurants within a short drive or even within walking distance (if you are willing to brave the cold). The service throughout was really, really good, including the front desk, the breakfast staff, and the cleaning staff. The feather pillows were switched out for foam pillows when we asked (allergies), the room was very clean, the shower/bathroom had lots of hot water, the mattress was firm (which we prefer), it appeared there were new sheets on the bed, and the bar fridge was a valuable asset (microwave in the room as well though we didn't use it). We used the pool and hot tub once (no one else was there); both were very clean and there were plenty of towels. Dad took advantage of breakfast both mornings and there was no shortage of variety and the staff continually replenished everything. A few very minor cons: We prefer a suite with a separate bedroom. The available suite we had did not fully separate the beds/sleeping area from the sitting/tv area. Not a huge detriment as we were only there for 2 nights but not ideal either. Also, the closet was next to the bed; strange arrangement, but again, hardly a deal breaker. The couch in the sitting area was decidedly 'uncomfortable' but again, not a deal breaker. All-in-all, we had a very good stay and would choose the Fairfield again!
