First, the room maintenance was very poor. The basin could not drain properly, and the makeup mirror light was broken. Before I went out around 1 p.m., I saw a toilet plunger and a very dirty cloth left right in front of my room door — it was extremely unhygienic. When I came back around 4 p.m., I went to the Executive Lounge for some drinks. However, there was no staff attending the lounge at all. I had to walk to the front desk to ask for someone to come. Later, when I wanted to pay, I kept waiting and even though one staff saw me, she didn’t come over to help.

星期六早餐時太多參加旅行團的人聚集用餐, 非常的喧譁及嘈吵, 現場工作人員祇作登記, 沒有帶領客人作順序入坐安排. 既然餐廳滿座擠擁, 但在行政樓層的餐廳卻沒開放適時作出分流. 給客人多一個選擇. 其實我們祇需要一個安靜環境, 好簡單的一杯咖啡及一個牛角包就可以了. 這是我在順德萬豪的第二次體驗, 真的不會推薦其他人在週末到來.

Nice hotel with nice staff

Marriott Shunde is the a solid five-star option in downtown Shunde. Location is unbeatable with a nice view. Room is spacious but looks somehow dated. Air-conditioning is weak and can be a huge issue in summer. There are only three lifts so expect some waiting time during peak hours.

The place was run down. Hotel corridors flooring was uneven, seems like carpet was lay without leveling the floor. The suites we stay in was worse. The walls was mouldy and there are stains all over the place.

General services and room conditions were very good but carparking arrangement at basement needed huge improvement.

房间挺大，但是设计有点过时，反而洗手间装修新颖、有现代感。 酒店设有健身房和泳池。更衣室内有桑拿、蒸汽房和冷蒸房。可是，冷蒸房不够冷，做不了蒸完桑拿急速降温的效果。另外，更衣室的排气有点差，经常有一股异味。这方面有待改善。

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The room was clean and well appointed, staff were friendly and breakfast was of high quality. I also liked the gym which was spacious and well equipped. I will be happy to book the same hotel again if I would visit Shunde in the future.

位置非常方便，就在順峰山公園對面，附近亦有大型購物中心。如果開車可以泊車，即使沒開車，打滴滴都非常簡單。房間空間大，有浴缸，非常不錯！ 唯一問題是，上樓的三部升降機要等很久，但也不是大問題。

Shunde. A suburban area in Foshan that could already be called its own city. Some say this city exists through its powerful culinary origins of Cantonese Cuisine. Some call it an industrial area. To me, it is like my second home. My family has origins here, and every year or so I make my return to Shunde annually from Shanghai. The Marriott Hotel in Shunde to some locals’ eyes is considered the best Shunde has to offer for the hundreds of thousands of guests that come there every year. Even coming to their All Day-Dining Restaurant for buffet dinner required some intense efforts to reserve for New Year’s Eve Dinner. We tried to host a 20-person New Year’s Eve Buffet at the end of 2018, but the reservation ended up being thrown away by a failed confirmation call. We were successful at holding it at the end of 2019. With other hotels in Daliang, we have been to that did a great job, I came to this hotel because I received a complimentary new Gold Marriott Bonvoy Membership after earning the United Airlines Gold MileagePlus Card. I wanted to test run the membership, therefore me and my friend Kevin stayed at this hotel from July 15th to the 17th. This is my first time using the Gold Card at a Marriott International Property. This is my first time staying in the hotel as well. I was rather excited to try this hotel out. I booked the Guest Room Twin Room Non-Smoking with a City View, which was upgraded to the Lake View Room. The cost was 800 RMB per night without breakfast. We arrived in the afternoon of July 15th and were checked in by Robben Liu. He got our check-in done swiftly and initially assigned us to Room 2320. The Guest Room of the Marriott Shunde Hotel is a 40SQM room space, which I should give the hotel credit for giving us the exact room space as advertised. Some hotels do not do that, so huge credit to the marketing team. The twin room has two single beds with some nice pillows, linens, and blankets for your comfort. There is a separable sofa chair that splits into two halves. There is a desk with plenty of workspace for any computer or booklet. Power outlets are plenty around this hotel room space, although some USB ports are to be in order, to keep the hotel modern in its future renovation. The bathroom has a toilet room, separate shower and bathtub, vanity sink, and soap amenities from the soap company “this works”. The view is exceptionally amazing with the entire coverage of Shunfeng Mountain and its lake in direct sight. As a Gold Bonvoy Marriott Member, I was given some free water and a plate of handheld fruit as my amenity. This could have been a perfect room to stay in. However, when it comes to the design, maintenance on the housekeeping front is a huge issue. I was rather left dissatisfied with the overall cleaning of my room. Many surfaces were simply not wiped down properly. We found water stains on the mirror ledge, white stains on the window metal frames, dust on the desk, and food crumbs on the spoon holder on the coffee table. We called the service center and they sent Robben up to 2320 to have me explain to him the issue. Robben understood the issues that were put forth, and he already got a key even before I asked for the room next door as a possible replacement. I looked at the replacement room 2322 before accepting it, there were crumbs found on the windowsill, which indicated to me that the hotel’s housekeeping hasn’t been doing a thorough job at cleaning the rooms and suites of this hotel. Robben got us to rest in the original room whilst he got us another room cleaned up. He gave us a Guest Room on the Executive Floor, in which we were assigned to 2622. Given that the floor would have been used for Executive Rooms, note to those wanting an upgraded room will not find it in the Executive Room category. The only benefit of the Executive Room would be the Lounge Access and a higher floor, that is it. To my initial satisfaction, I found the room to be a step cleaner than the original room, therefore I accepted this one. Unfortunately, I did not check the toilet, in which the corner marble tiles of the floor were filled with dust and hair that would have been there for at least months. I got Robben to reclean the bathroom so that we won’t have to move rooms again. We do have to give a lot of credit to Robben, I imagine it wasn’t easy for him to cope with repeated problems he must address that are at no fault of his own. We did not have any breakfast at the hotel, nor had any food items from the hotel beside the fruit and water. We did ask for some masks and extra towels, which were promptly delivered to us. Bear in mind you can use the Marriott Bonvoy APP to request certain items to be delivered to your room like bedding, towels, and other items. We managed to get out at 2 PM late checkout granted with a call to the front desk, which we appreciate. Even before we could even reach the desk for our checkout, Max Liu checked us out in the elevator for us to expedite our departure when he got in the elevator with us from another floor. I do wish that much care would have taken place in terms of the response to the lack of consistency in the cleaning of rooms. I could not fathom how dirty some rooms could be after seeing 3 rooms in a row with poor cleaning maintenance. Overall, the hotel experience that I just was disappointing given the context of what my perception of the hotel was like before I even stayed there all these years. To me, it was like a dream hotel I wanted to go to because of how it stood out in the skyline from the view outside my grandfather’s resting point Baolin Temple. Now I look from his gravesite to see how horrifying it must be to see a hotel that would’ve been named the best hotel in Shunde become one of the underwhelming ones for me. I wish the upper management will look into this cleaning crisis and find a solution to make it become the best hotel in Shunde again in the future!

非常舒适的房间，但服务还是得要再用心一点。打电话2次叫送水，到12点我要睡了都没有送。早餐看似精致但实际水平一般，西点比中点优秀！游泳池比较小24小时健身房很棒！

While travel has been rather limited during the pandemic, we managed to visit Foshan for a business trip in May. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Anson Yang at the front desk. He helped us with check-in, brief introduction to the hotel (even provided us with a map of delicacies in Foshan), he even went extra miles to show us the room that we stayed in during our trip. He was very kind and helpful. In the executive lounge, we were greeted warmly by Kenton Ye. He was very helpful when we encountered problems with document printing. He assisted us every step of the way to get our things done in a professional manner. He listened attentively to the feedback that we have about our stays. We can see that he has done everything he could within his capacity to make our stay a pleasant one (and exceeds our expectations for sure). We are very happy with our stay here and will definitely come back again in the future :)

My friends and I booked a total of 3 rooms for a weekend Shunde foodie trip. It's my 2nd stay at the hotel. As a Marriott Ambassador, I used my Marriott Suite Upgrade Certificate and got upgraded to the Presidential Suite! It was great and my friends and I had a great time with all that space. The lounge was good, they had a few boardgames to keep us entertained. Special thanks to Lia Pan for checking to make sure my stay was a memorable one. Overall, rooms were clean and check in was efficient. I would definitely stay here again during a future visit.

Been in the hotel for a month for biz trip due to covid 19. In the executive lounge fairly regularly for a drink before dinner (very nice view over looking the park). Always saw Krystal and Lily both full of passion and lovely smile welcoming you to the lounge every time. Professional service and I would recommend people to go and stay in this hotel for both leisure and biz because of its nice location and service. Bill

I happened to chance upon a nasty family behaving badly to the staffs in the executive lounge at the 28th floor 28 Nov 2020 6pm to 7pm. I may not speak Chinese well but i can understand how they are demanding for things like they own the hotel. LILY and Krystal did a great job handling them with a smile. Well done to the great service ! Don't be disheartened by these nasty people. Thank you for the amazing experience. When I was leaving i can see the family speaking to the manager. I feel i must do this review to thank Lily and Krystal.

Very nice, centrally located five star hotel. Hotel staff are friendly, courteous, attentive, and helpful. As a Platinum member, I received an upgrade to a spacious suite. Bed and bedding made for a nice sleep. Wonderful breakfast selection.

Had a conference in Shunde for three days, so I stayed at this Marriott for two nights. Every staff I encountered was extremely nice, from the check in agent to the lounge staff. I inquired about lunch options in Shunde during check in, the lonely front desk agent recommended two options, both of which ended to be excellent! Thank you so much ( and sorry I didn’t get your name ). Platinum breakfast were offered both in the lounge and the main restaurant on the second floor. The breakfast had one of the best spread i had seen with Marriott. Overall , very highly recommended and will definitely return if I am in the area again.

Shunde is the gourmet capital of China, The Marriott Hotel was surrounded a lot of delicious private kitchens. The Lounge staff here are very nice and sincere,they give me a very impressed. Opposite the hotel is a very famous tourist attraction, Shunfengshan Park.

I booked about 6 rooms for my family visiting for my wedding. For many of them it was their first time to leave America. I'm so happy Shunde was their first Chinese city to visit and even more happier I chose the Shunde Marriott for everyone to stay. My family bothered the staff endlessly with requests and questions. They were always met with a smile and a positive answer. I cannot recommend this place enough! They even had a birthday party for our family member.

Hotel location is very nearby Shunfengshan Park and very suitable to bring kids. Room is spacious. Hotel staff at night time seems to be a bit overwhelmed by the chaos between some guests arguing. We had breakfast in the restaurant on lobby floor instead of going to the lounge as we were well informed restaurant provides more food choices, and it does! Shunde is always well known for being the origin of Cantonese cuisine and this restaurant food quality definitely up to that standard. Also the services provided by various staff at the restaurant, every single one was happy about serving us. Truly an welcoming atmosphere and would love to visit again.

This hotel opened for around 5 years, still keep a good maintenance. The food is strongly recommended, the club lounge provided a variety of food choice, particularly in the local style, really delicious. Traditional cuisine makes me feel very acceptable, even more better than in other hotels in Guangzhou area. Must stay next time in Shunde area. Lounge staffs are very help and nice. Special thanks to "Jay" Lounge manager helped me in car booking.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The executive lounge was great and Janey took very good care of me. She was so nice and I look forward to coming back to see her again. All of the staff was great.

I stay at this property ever six months for approximately one week, every stay is a pleasure, professional staff, clean rooms, and beautiful view of the park. The room rate is always reasonable compared to many properties.
