The ambience was beautiful. The staff was beyond accommodating superfast with any request.

We didn’t like there wasn’t a pool, but there’s a lot of common areas where you can. Relax and enjoy the sun. It was understanding why they didn’t have a pool considering it’s in a residential area and close to the beach

Lovely lobby, bar and patio. Good gym, nice location. Access to free bike hire and in-house driver within 3 miles. Happy hour between 5-7 with complimentary beer and wine. Good food on the menu which runs 7am-7pm.

No barrister style coffee available - had to go over the road for take away. No laundry room either which would have been really useful.

The room was nice; the downstairs lobby and outdoor sitting areas were exceptionally nice. We were most grateful for the driving experience the hotel offered; and NOELLE was wonderful as a driver.

Our room had a very small and limited window, which was a bit of a disappointment, but not a major one.

L’hôtel se situe dans un quartier calme et résidentiel. La chambre est spacieux avec un lit très confortable. De plus, un chauffeur peut vous amener jusqu’à la plage (à 45 minutes à pied. C’est une balade agréable) gratuitement. Nous tenons à souligner la gentillesse, les sourires et la bienveillance du personnel. Nous recommandons vivement cet hôtel.

Great location, clean, friendly and helpful staff. Needed to book this hotel last minute due to an accommodation change and it was easy to find what I needed and book it.

It was beautiful, spacious, and the staff were really wonderful. Food was excellent!

The pillows were so thick and hard that I had to remove a pillow case to put it on one of the feather stuffed decorative pillows from the couch. Never have I experienced that before at a hotel. Also, there should be a door to separate the toilet area from the rest of the bathroom, and a fan in the toilet area for odor reasons.

The Ambrose is such a cute boutique hotel. I like to stay here when I come for work because I can walk to my HQ nearby. They also have a private car service that can be used within a 3-mile radius for either drop off or pick up until 8pm. Ask for Molly! She’s the best! (Only downside is the hotel doesn’t have a restaurant but they do offer coffee and tea 24 hours, light bites, and happy hour from 5-7. Plenty of good restaurants are nearby.

We stay at the Ambrose 2x a year for about 6 nights each visit. We just checked out of a Queen Deluxe room withe 2 queen beds. Room was spacious and quite. Beds comfy. We requested maid service every 3 days. If we needed something staff responded quickly. Easy access to stores. They also have courtesy shuttle for 3 mile runs. We had breakfast every morning. Limited menu but fine for our needs.

The Tesla ride with Noelle was awesome!! The car was ready right away and she was an amazing driver.

Great overall experience. Complimentary local car service was a really wonderful bonus, and their driver Noel was great. I will absolutely stay here again.

The Hotel was perfect! Extremely quiet. Never had to wait for the elevator for more than 5 seconds. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The breakfast was perfect and a total bargain at $18. Molly, the Free Tesla driver was wonderful, charming and knowledgeable around Sata Monica. Leo at the front desk was so helpful and accommodating at all times. This one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at in my life. I’m giving it 5 stars! Douglas B.

My coworkers and I stayed here for two evenings and it was a flawless experience. I utilized the Tesla car service amenity and Noelle was super accommodating with drop off as well as pick up. Shannon went out of her way to turn on a beautiful fireplace for just my coworker and myself late in the evening. And lastly, Ivan helped me get back into my room post checkout to get an item I accidentally left behind.

Loved our stay here. The daily happy hour was such a treat, as was the car service. We are so grateful to Noelle for taking us through Santa Monica! Rooms were clean and well appointed. Walking distance to several lovely restaurants.

The location is excellent, walking distance to Tartine, Erewhon, Whole Foods, and many restaurants etc. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and they provide everything you could need and more. There are also many places to hang out and relax or work in the lobby, and outdoor areas. The staff is friendly and super helpful. It's definitely my favorite place to stay in the Santa Monica and Los Angeles area.

Love this hotel so much! Love how they offered special things like the bikes that were available, drinks from 5 to 7 and coffee and tea 24/7 was also amazing, and having access to a driver with their Tesla was also such a bonus! The driver Noelle was so nice and easy to get in touch with for rides. Amazing all around!!

The Ambrose Hotel overall was wonderful. The staff was kind, considerate and professional. We had a problem with our window not closing so we could hear traffic outside as well as there were ants in the bathroom. However, when reported I requested an upgraded room with a balcony and the staff accommodated us. I also had trouble getting my wifi on my phone to work. The staff at the front desk could not get it to work as well.

Location was why we stayed there.

A/C system blasted from near ceiling height directly onto the bed. No way to avoid it. Had to turn off all ventilation to sleep. Also, surprise charges of $55 per night to park, $29 per night “Guest Amenity Fee” despite using no amenities, and $10 per night for parking tax. None of this was disclosed on website.

Had a great time at The Ambrose Hotel Santa Monica! The location was perfect, with a bakery and Pilates studio just across the street. Not only was there daily complimentary coffee/tea/wine and bikes for exploring the area but they also offer a car service for short trips — Both Molly and Noelle were excellent drivers, quick to offer recommendations for things to do and knowledgeable about the area. Taylor at the front desk was also very helpful. The only downside was that there were some ants in the room but I’d still recommend the hotel overall

The place is great because it has a car service that drives within 3 miles. Noelle is a great driver and we really appreciate her taking us around. Everything was within distance. The water pressure of the shower could be a little stronger though.

A lovely, inviting space - inside and out - and an especially warm, friendly and gracious staff. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay there again.

A group of friends volunteered in the area and were looking for a place for the night that wasn't crazy expensive like the Santa Monica hotels closer to the water. The Ambrose was a pleasant surprise. It is very clean and up to date. Taylor at the front desk, and everyone else we encountered, were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the complimentary glass of wine when we arrived after a long day and the coffee bar in the morning had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend The Ambrose to anyone needing to stay in the Santa Monica area!

This boutique hotel is a gem! The staff is friendly and attentive. The amenities like happy hour and being directly across from Tartine is an added bonus. There's a Tesla that does free drop off and pickups and our driver Noelle was the sweetest!

The Ambrose hotel is wonderful not only for its location but for the incredible team working there. Everyone we encountered was amazing, helpful and so wonderful. From Noelle who gave helpful recommendations and rides with their complimentary car service while also being lovely company. To Molly and Eileen at the front who made sure that our stay was perfect and were always warm and friendly. Alex the manager and Hugo the lovely person behind the bar for amazing happy hour. The level of care and brilliantly unique and kind people made this one of our favorite hotel stays in a while and we will definitely be back. The Ambrose is the right choice for its the amazing people working there!

Great boutique hotel in a safe neighbourhood. The rooms were super clean with comfy beds and soft linens. Convenient to have secure underground parking on site. The hotel had complimentary tea/coffee at all times in their lobby area, and offered a Tesla ride to nearby attractions. Was also great to have one of the best bakeries right across - perfect for breakfast/lunch or a delicious dessert. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Our family members enjoyed a really nice weekend at the Ambrose Hotel. The location of the hotel was great and allowed us easy access to all amenities and ocean. There was even a farmer's market on Saturday that we enjoyed. The common areas were awesome and inviting which made staying with extended family more fun. And, the staff was helpful, friendly, and very professional.

Very comfortable and attractive property, good sized rooms. I ended up here as it was close to the office where I had two days of meetings. However it wasn’t close enough that I could walk, so I was pleasantly surprised that they had a hotel car for local transport. It was a really nice touch, especially with the friendly Noelle as my driver. She was great! The personal service erased the usual hassles of a long business trip. Thank you Noelle and the rest of the team for making this a great experience!

That it had a balcony & the wine on the house happy hour plus Tartine bakery right across the street.

The bathroom lights were WAY too bright & really bugged me especially using the bathroom in the middle of the night where it would practically blind me in there. You need two separate lights or a dimmer! Parking was way too much money daily - it was ridiculous. We stayed 5 nights. It would be really good to have a break in price after 3 nights.
