I requested a room with a shower due to mobility issues following surgery on my foot and explained that it's unsafe for me to use a bath at present. A room with shower was not available but they did not bother inform me of this until I arrived to check in. The receptionist was very rude, she argued with me when I said that a shower is a basic necessity for me if I book a room. She told me I could stay at their one star hotel across the road if I wanted a room with a shower, and then began telling me what to to if there were any issues there with hot water etc. I refused to go to the other hotel as it did not sound at all appealing to me. Hotel San Glorio had already taken non refundable payment at the time of booking, so they had my money but did not have the courtesy to let me know in advance of my arrival that they could not provide suitable accommodation for me. They also refused a refund, claiming that a shower is not guaranteed. Given my current circumstances with lack of mobility and walking with a crutch, plus the fact that I had informed them weeks in advance that a shower was a necessity for me, in my opinion their customer service is appalling. An exception should have been made and a refund given, as I had to find accommodation elsewhere at very short notice. Thankfully, booking.com customer service were very courteous, helpful and understanding of my situation, and they fully covered the cost of the new booking so I was not left out of pocket. San Glorio receptionist was just horrible to me, they don't deserve any business if this is how they treat customers.

Das Zimmer in den Innenhof ist sehr dunkel.

Reviewed Sep 14, 2026The location to the ferry port in Santander. There's a nice bar adjoining the hotel. Secure underground parking nearby at a reasonable €11 per night. The room had a/c. Breakfast was available in the adjoining bar from 08:00, coffee, croissant & orange juice for a reasonable €5.35.
The bedrrom and bathroom were desperately in need of updating, the old wooden wardrobe had an unpleasant smell when opened. I suspect my room (135) was linked to private accommodation next door, the noise from there was unacceptable.

La ventana de la habitación que nos tocó daba a un patio bastane desagradable y sin luz. no podías subir la persiana porque te veian los vecinos del frente. luego al abrir la puerta holia a encerrado un poco pero luego pusimos el aire y no se notó. en general un poco pequeño para dos personas.

Пешая прогулка от гостиницы к пляжу El Sardinero, с последующим посещением летней резиденции Королей Испании, обедом в ресторане около набережной, - это просто восторг. Отдельное наслаждение, увидеть морских животных и старинные корабли и исследовательский плот в парке около Дворца Palacio de La Magdalena. Транспортом мы и не передвигались, город компактный и очень приветливый для путешественников. Очень рекомендуем как парам, так и семьям с детьми.
1. холодильник, ну хоть маленький, не помешал бы в номере. 2. стационарный, не регулмруемый душ в ванной комнате, ну это уже прошлый век... 3. длинную, во всю ширину кровати, подушку одну на двоих, мы не оценили, хотя, быть может, это местная традиция... 4. решили протестировать местное вино, в номере ничего для этого не нашлось, даже стаканчики под зубные щетки оказались картонными. Пришлось просить помощи персонал, нам очень любезно помогли, за что отдельное спасибо.

Imposible aparcar, no hay parking y antes tenían un acuerdo con uno cercano pero ahora no.Los parking están llenos y en la calle poco sitio hay. Nosotros aparcamos y ya no lo movimos para nada a todos los sitios andando por que si no es imposible. Las almohadas son súper finas. Y la habitacion huele regular... limpio estaba. La habitacion es bastante pequeña

Es ideal si llegas a Santander en avión, ya que, se encuentra a 5 minutos de la estación de autobuses y hay un trayecto directo aeropuerto-estación de autobuses. Además, se encuentra justo al lado de la estación de tren, en 5 minutos estás en el centro así como en el paseo marítimo. Tiene muchos servicios alrededor como supermercados, cafeterías, fruterías, etc. La habitación estaba limpia y para ser agosto, había una temperatura agradable sin encender el aire acondicionado. En cuanto a la calidad-precio, lo encuentro bastante asequible teniendo en cuenta que era el mes de agosto, estás en una ciudad y su ubicación, como ya he comentado, es estupenda.

Reviewed Aug 14, 2026The breakfast was so good that we went back to it the next time we stayed the night near the bus station. The staff was friendly and spoke some English. The ceiling was low in the lobby near the elevator but who cares? We just note it because tall people might like to know that it’s ONLY right there in that one area. Our room was not super small like some are, and clean. Bathroom also was ample. no AC but the window opened widely and cool breezes from the bay/harbor blew in. The beds were apart, although we had selected one full bed, we got 2 twins. They are quite short and my husband’s feet hung off the end. But they were lightweight and easy to move so we scootched them together. Stores were close for snacks or a beer, as is a small bar/cafe. I’d book it again for ease of getting to the train or bus or a ship. Walking the promenade was quite nice and easily managed from the San Glorio. Try to tortilla con atun.
Just that the beds weren’t together and are so short.

Reviewed Aug 12, 2026La vivibilità dello spazio bagno e il bidet! La pulizia, il vecchio porta valigia aperta, ormai introvabile. La posizione strategica per la vicinanza della stazione ferroviaria e dei pullman. In meno di dieci minuti si arriva al centro a piedi. Nonostante sia un due stelle è molto buono.

Reviewed Aug 8, 2026Hotel curato e accogliente. Annesso ad un bar dove puoi fare colazione a prezzo fisso o alla carta. Convenzionati con un autorimessa a 30 metri di distanza. Centro raggiungibile a piedi. Bagno con bidet ☺️

Habitación que me tocó. Daba un patio interior. Plata baja con olores. No se podía abrir la ventana. Un zulo.

El trato del señor al registrarme fue pésimo. Estaba malhumorado y molesto, como tenía otro tipo de tarjeta de residencia me dijeron que debía presentar mi pasaporte cuando el documento que presente es uno de identificación pero no usual para ellos. Tienen poco paciencia, sobre todo el hombre que estaba a cargo.
