Hi The room was tidy. The bathroom was spacious.

The car park was close to our room but someone took it after we went out. So we ended up parking on the street. The breakfast was not value for money.

The refurbished room was outstanding.

The flooring was quite cold, especially as the weather was cold at the time. A rug beside the bed to step on to would help.

Staff were amazing. I didn't get in until 1230am, had room warm,key left firne, and breakfast for the next morning in my room When fire alarm went off at 430am (false alarm!) staff were great and apologetic

The unit was very large and spacious which made our stay very comfortable. Beds were very comfortable and had everything we needed in the kitchen & bathroom.

Location is good. Very close from Tahunanui beach. Perhaps because it was the school holidays, the accommodation provided welcome treats for the children, which they really enjoyed.

This was by far the worst accommodation we stayed at during our trip around New Zealand. We booked the Family Suites (Rooms 701 and 702) for two nights. Unfortunately, there were problems from the moment we arrived. There were cobwebs around the light fixture above the double bed, and one of the bathroom windows in Room 701 had a broken opening mechanism. We opened it during the day, but when the temperature dropped at night, it was extremely difficult to close. The panel heater in Room 702 was covered in dust, as if it had not been cleaned for a long time, and the carpets were the dirtiest we encountered in any accommodation during our trip. The most serious issue happened on our first night. We returned to the motel around 8:00 p.m. after sightseeing and having dinner, only to discover that there was no hot water. On top of that, the kitchen bench was covered with ants. When we reported the problems, we were told that someone would spray for the ants. Regarding the hot water, we were informed that there were no other Family Suites available, so we were offered the key to the room next door so that we could use its shower instead. However, it was a cold evening, and we were travelling with young children, my elderly mother, and all of our luggage. Carrying everything back and forth between rooms just to shower was simply not practical. I asked whether we could receive a refund and leave that night instead, but I was told that the staff could not make that decision. I was advised to speak with the manager, but then I was told it was a public holiday and the owners were away travelling and could not be contacted. Although we accepted the key to the neighbouring room, the situation was so inconvenient that none of us showered that night. We had no choice but to go to bed feeling uncomfortable after a long day. I was extremely upset and sent a detailed message that evening explaining everything that had happened.

In for one night due to weather , was a well set up tidy friendly place, seemed handy to things so all good. will stay there again when down with wife. Most motels up here are now run by people who don't speak english ( god knows how they are getting in) and essentially don't give a damn so you won't lose with your approach. we had been freediving all around South island so didn't go to beach

Nice little studio next with easy access from the road, carpark just outside. Comfortable bed and good shower.

It was really appreciated that the heating & lights where on when we arrived, as we where on a late flight and the office was closed “thank you”

There was no window covering on the kitchen window which allowed the neibouring motel rooms full visibility into our kitchen. Disappointing. I had to get dressed when the light was on.

Room was great , had everything we needed for 2 nights, good parking spaces, wifi, comfortable beds, spa bath, had full sky tv which was great for the kids at night time/morning. Nice big windows, plenty of blankets/pillows

The bathroom could use some doing up, the shower drain was broken so had to remove the cover to let water drain, shower plastic around the doors were yellow and damaged and the floor had the starts of cracks and the mixer was very touchy for hot/warm/cold we just had to use it on full hot or it was just luke warm. 1 jet in the bath was broken as well.

Great location and price

The location to the beach was awesome. It was handy to eating places and central to the city and surrounding suburbs.

We found it a little bit noisy - possibly due to where our unit was situated- voices of people talking outside seem to carry Our unit was upstairs and comfortable,but we felt a bit exposed. People were able to see in our windows from the ground plus from adjacent units. We did have some concern about lack of security latches on the windows.

Carpet was badly stained and worn, desperately needs to be changed. Toilet set was broken and not fixed in place. Shower head is broken and would keep falling down. Shower drain appeared blocked as it would drain very slowly. The whole room needs renovation. Washing machine would error half way through that cycle and left me having to rerun it twice, still leaving some laundry powder on the clothes, staff weren’t to helpful about this.

The pool

It was a really impressive and very comfortable place to stay. The accommodation was exceptionally clean, well equipped, and had everything we needed. We truly enjoyed our stay and felt very relaxed throughout our visit. The location was also excellent — within walking distance to Tahunanui Beach and nearby attractions such as Natureland Wildlife Trust. The friendly atmosphere and convenience made the experience even better. We would definitely book this place again without any hesitation whenever we visit Nelson in the future.

Fantastic location, comfortable room, lovely spa bath in the room.

We had some minor trouble adjusting the temperature of the shower, it was very abrupt from lukewarm to very hot. Also, the shower was quite slow to drain, so you end up standing in a couple of inches of water. They're not major issues, more just things to be aware of.

Great location, parks, beach, pubs and cafes. Kids loved the pool and the room was a great size

The location is good, with the beach within walking distance. There was ample parking. The staff are friendly and helpful. I was given an early check in without any problem.

The beds were too soft. With a bad back, I almost couldn't get up on the second day, and I had to sleep on the carpet for three of the four nights. The shower mixer didn't work. Normally one can choose the pressure and temperature. The shower had only a choice of temperature. The choice was scalding or freezing. The staff finally helped me to figure it out (sort of). With the setting at extreme cold, I got hot(ish) water. The biggest problem was that the toilet was not properly scrubbed. This is really unacceptable.

The refrigerator emitted strange loud sounds, but it worked fine. One armchair had been sat in by a very heavy person and hence was difficult to extract yourself from after sitting down.But there were other chairs to choose
