The chalets had everything. The view was incredible. Cosy place for a peacefull holiday breakaway. Wood and fire place provided. Nice bbq area.Nice view. Staff was extremely friendly.

Could not close the toilet door, the bed was jn the way and if you moved the bed then you couldn't close the bedroom door. The room was rather cramped. The shower and bathroom was so tiny the water sprayed all over the floor so you had a permanent wet floor in the bathroom/toilet area. Wasnt even space for a toilet roll holder, that was placed on a hand basin which also got wet. Had to pay R1000 refundable deposit but then had to wait 20min so that housekeeping could check everything before you could leave. Stayed here many times before and had an enjoyable stay, it will be my last stay

Breakfast is a bit on the expensive side for what it offers.

Our breakfast was really good and the dinner was also amazing, especially the oysters that had been recommended by the waiter. The staff were excellent. The room was really nice and we had a beautiful view.

The staff member who was on duty when we checked out was rude. A guest ahead of me raised a concern about the R1000 key deposit, and the staff member responded unprofessionally by saying that the TV could be broken. She could have handled the situation in a more courteous and professional manner. The inspection process also made us feel as though we were being treated with suspicion, as the staff counted the crockery, plates, towels, and other items in front of us. The property could consider investing in dishwashers, as guests are expected to wash the dishes before vacating the premises. Charging R350 for fresh towels is quite exorbitant, and the policy of servicing the chalets only every four days is also not ideal.

I loved the view from the property and the Cottage was clean. Staff were also friendly

The couch in the lounge was very tiny for a 6 sleeper. Only comfortable seating for 2 people in the lounge area. The smell outside is terrible at times. The facilities like the pool and tennis courts close way too early at 7pm, my kids still need to be entertained....The cottage we stayed in was freezing cold and fireplace did not do the job at all. Please put heater and electric blankets in the rooms especially during winter months.

The receptionist should have told us when we checked in, that the heated pool closes at 7pm. This was what we looked forward the most. The food we had for supper was not good and definitely not worth the price.

Our stay was very pleasant. We had full view of the tranquility of the sea from our bedroom which made extra special. The catering staff was excellent, catering for such a large group.

On Sunday the kids were not able to use the pool.

A month has gone by, and I’m still waiting for my deposit refund.

Lovely family lodge with easy access to different areas for elderly people with walkers. Staff attentive, friendly and kind. Food is exceptional... had an amazing pastrami bagel (pastrami was freshly cooked, warm and juicy) as a brunch snack and an absolutely perfectly cooked fillet of yellowtail with salsa verde. Really exceptional flavour.

Room is a bit small but it was located perfectly to allow easy access to restaurant and lounge areas for my elderly mother.

Unit was new, spacious and well equipped with great views. Great to be able to take pets too. Lovely pool and amazing beach and access to it

Had problems with water tank outside overflowing but sorted quickly. Entrance gate very difficult to open and close and needs attention. Reported a broken dining room chair at the beginning of the stay which was never replaced so used outside chair. Concern that in future, the area around will become a construction site. The red dust is a concern.

The Location is very calm and relaxed. Facilities are amazing and well kept. Food at restaurant is great.

The bed in the main room at unit 9 kept shifting causing me and my wife to sleep in-between the mattress.

Upon checking in I was asked to pay for a breakage deposit. I had no problem doing this. The receptionist asked me if I was paying it with the same card I booked with I said yes, my credit card. The next morning when checking out I asked how long it would take to receive my refund and was then told they cannot refund to a credit card. Had I been told this I would have used my debit card. I’m in communication with the hotel via email who are now asking for a letter of confirmation from a South African bank account for them to refund to. I have told them I do not have a SA bank account. I’m also struggling to get the general managers contact details! I’m I their first guest from another country? I think not!! SHOCKING SERVICE !!!! DO NOT STAY THERE. I have other complaints but first need to get this issue resolved!!

Location is generally lovely however the area contains significant levels of steel work industry.

Das Frühstück muss normalerweise extra bezahlt werden. Man sollte also die Buchungsbestätigung auf Englisch dabeihaben und vorzeigen. Die zweite Tasse Kaffee musste ich extra bezahlen und zwar mit 80 Rand (ca. 4 Euro !!!). Normalpreis ca. 36 Rand ???

Speisekarte von der Auswahl her "bescheiden" und ausserdem kaum lesbar (verblasst und zu klein) ! Strand sehr mit angespültem Seetang (stinkt) bedeckt ! Spaziergang lässt man besser ! Poolservice : An den ersten beiden Tagen meines Aufenthaltes hat man den Pool um 16.00 Uhr abgedeckt ! WAr wohl auch der einzige Gast ??? Matten für die Liegen hat man auch nicht ausgebracht !

Staff didn’t inform us of the deposit to be payed back. We are from CA and were not informed to bring cash because they do not refund the breakage deposit into foreign bank accounts.

We were upgraded by the hotel to the executive suite and it the room and view were absolutely amazing and picturesque.

We had dinner and Breakfast at the hotel. However the food and dinner was not up to standard unfortunately. Breakfast was much better!

On arrival reception could not find our reservation. We booked a room with garden view and were taken to a room with a parking lot view. When we complained we were eventually given a choice of alternatives, but with a lot of attitude. As if we did something wrong and were being done a favour. At the cocktail bar before dinner we were told there is no stock, and they can't make cocktails. The arm of the shower head was loose and would flop down, so you need to shower with one hand holding up the shower. The room door latch had a gap/space, so in the night when the wind picked up the clicking sounds woke us and I had to go shove a piece of paper in the door.

Great property and we loved the parks & pools that kept the kids busy the whole day.

I felt very uncomfortable having to ask ALL my adult guests for they ID's when I checked in. I really feel that just getting the main person that made the booking's ID is enough.

If a room is advertised with wifi and hot water then that is the expectation. I did not have any wifi and their excuse was that they have to buy a new router. Why charge you for a room with wifi. I did not have warm water at all. Their excuse was that there is something wrong with the sun panels and they are a “green” establishment!! Not good enough. Furthermore I had to pay a breakage deposit of R1000 which is ridiculious! I was one person for 1 night!! The only thing that could break is a cheap glass in the room. Before I left the room was even checked if there were any breakage or if I have stolen anything in the room. This was done while I was in the room. Furthermore there were power failures the whole evening in the lodge. Never ever will I make use if this lodge again!!

Thank you for the extra attention to our room in view of our anniversary celebration. The food was good, although some salads would have been nice on the menu. The bar menu could do with some finger snacks, eg chicken wings, riblets, samoosas and spring rolls. Nibly bits are always nice, especially while we were watching the rugby @ the bar. We appreciate the extra effort to give us a sandwich and chips when we were too late for breakfast menu. Burger menu was really nice and food was tasty overall.

The only suggestion is that maybe the warm pool can stay open for use a little later. I think closing a warm pool at 7pm is a bit too early for me.

The speed hump’s… it’s way to broad for my Audi and I have been to blue bay a few times already. The height is fine but the width is way to much please can you guys have a look at it thanks.

Breakfast was lovely. The staff made special arrangements for my grandchildren. The menu was varied and we all could choose what we felt like. Location is just the best view ever.

We were totally happy. We did not have breakfast there every day, as it could become expensive after a while.

We loved everything about the lodge - the rooms, the restaurant, the facilities... it was the perfect resort for a family holiday.

Restaurant (we had an excellent dinner) and location as its on the beach.

Our room L2 was tiny. Felt like we were in the basement. And the amount paid didnt warrant the room we received, also with no aircon just a very noisy stand alone fan.

The service from certain waiters was simply just poor, but thats it.

The rooms were clean and we had easy access to the pool and beach. I also liked the variety of food options for breakfast. This resort is very suitable for families and kids.

Some of the waiters/ servers could work on their customer service a bit more, in terms of how they communicate with guests. The table cloths of the dining area were dirty all of the times we ate there, so regular hygiene checks would be appreciated- especially in an eating area.

The sea view was beautiful and very relaxing, especially waking up to the sound of the ocean. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was good for a short stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience pleasant.

The room was quite small, which limited space for luggage. There was also no bar fridge in the room, which would have been useful for drinks or snacks. Some minor updates could improve the overall comfort.

Beautiful lodge, beach access and the deck is great, very friendly staff.

The heated pool is the main pool and temperature is unpleasant so was not able to enjoy it, the cooler pool is small and can get took crowded as a result.

Excellent stay. I would recommend mosqito nets for the units near the river. Also maybe have some indoor amenities when it's very windy outside.

No water sports available at the resort

The location is stunning, with beautiful views and such a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were welcoming and attentive, which made me feel right at home. I especially appreciated how comfortable and well-kept the rooms were, and the food was excellent. Overall, it was a relaxing and memorable experience that I’d happily recommend to others.
