The Room, the walls need a paint.My door rattled, and so did the sliding door. The taps on the basin both were not steady. As a Tour Operator I wouldn't bring my clients there. I think it can be an amazing hotel, if attention will be paid to detail.

Not nice not well maintenance and the balcony was dangerous looking and the door handle was nearly broken screws loose and the restaurant on top anyone is able to enter the room its very bad and to R900 for that place was definitely not worth it wind cane under the door

Reviewed Jul 3, 2026Excellent location. Opposite shopping centre (Spar). Breakfast was very tasteful and various options. Staff absolutely friendly - definitely made the stay much more enjoyable. Nice warm shower made it amazing.
Other guests made a lot of noise. The room doors need to be looked at. They are noisy when opening and closing (but this is expected coastal areas). But other than that, had a lovely time and will definitely stay here again.

What we were sold about the hotel when we arrived was nothing like the pictures there was NO shower in our room there was NO restaurant at the hotel there was NO ladies bar at the hotel. When we asked about dinner we were told too go over the road there are restaurant there WTH for the price we paid That been said we left and did not stay at the hotel we booked ourselves into the protea hotel Saldanha was 1000% better quality as well as the service and all there amieties that was too offer out way hoedijes bay hotel they will NEVER SEE us again And I can only hope that we can get some sort of reimbursement cause that was complete and utter false advertising

A mini bar fridge should be included in all the rooms. Maintenance and repairs on the windows should be done timeously. The prices at the bar should be adjusted,they are a bit steepy.

Really special ladies, well done. we forgot his name, the gentleman at the reception who booked us in, ..what a nice man, so friendly and helpful, very professional and so likeable ( 5 star review to him!!l ) the security guy was also very nice. Thanks to the breakfast staff and reception for making our stay even better. We were surprised when we got back to our room, that they came up to refresh our room , thank you
The dinner service wasn't what we expected, we waited very long, to be served and for our food,even though there were not many patrons, staff not very friendly( maybe they had a long day), but service wasn't very good, we were only offered drinks once, don't think we saw the waitress again after she brought our food, the music was very loud( maybe we are just too old), Saturday we were informed that the kitchen would close earlier, we got there , sat down, ( there was only one other person)read through the whole menu, there was no waiter, we left without them even knowing we were there...

There was only one cup and saucer in room for coffee/tea and we were two people. No heater in room. Breakfast was nice but options very limited for someone who doesn't eat meat/bacon.
