We stayed in room 4 and it was extremely hot. Even with the fan on we barely slept. There was no air movement or air conditioning.

Room was very clean and spacious, bathroom was spotless with high quality soap/shampoo/conditioner and soft towels. Also well equipped with hairdryer, fan, fridge, iron and board. There was a heatwave during my stay and my room was in the roof but with the fan working it was possible to sleep. Special mention to the staff (adult children of owners?) who were very welcoming and helpful.
Not a criticism as such as the hotel is very upfront about the steep staircases - this is Amsterdam after all!- and has installed additional wall handles to help your descent, but be aware! Also, while beautifully presented in the lovely dining room (former station waiting room), the breakfast at 24 euros is simply overpriced.

The only downside was the very steep staircase leading up to the first floor. It was quite difficult maneuvering our luggage up and down

The common area for breakfast was beautiful. The breakfast was great. The staff were very helpful and kind. It was in a quaint part of town, much more peaceful than downtown Amsterdam.

Reviewed Mar 8, 2026De ontvangst was heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De kamer ruim en netjes. Heerlijke badkamer. Het ontbijt super vers, uitgebreid en lekker. Er zijn genoeg restaurants in de buurt: wij hebben heerlijk en gezellig gedineerd aan het water bij Sunday, nog geen tien minuten lopen vanaf het hotel.
Eigenlijk niets. Maar een aanvulling op het ontbijt, zoals komkommer/tomaat/wat sla voor op een broodje vind ik altijd lekker. Dat gezegd hebbende, denk ik dat als ik daar om gevraagd had, dit geen enkel probleem zou zijn geweest.

Ontbijt vond ik heel erg tegenvallen 4 halve plakjes kaas en 4 halve plakjes oude kaas , geen worst niks , 2 jammetjes en 2 croisants en 2 bruine broodjes ik vroeg wit brood dat was er niet , geen gekookt eitje, ik vroeg kan je een eitje bakken nou dat kon maar vond alles erg karig

Voor sommige mensen zal de trap een bezwaar zijn, maar wij vonden hem prima te doen

je confirme que l'escalier est raide pour monter à l'étage pour les chambres mais ça vaut la peine si pas d'impossibilité physique!

Also, no air conditioning, but the temperature there does not warrant AC on most days😎 My stay was pleasant and the hotel was very clean🌹
