Die zentrumsnahe, aber ruhige Lage am Strand und der Außenbereich sind Highlights, das Frühstück ist gut und das Personal sehr freundlich. Die kostenlosen Yogaeinheiten waren ein toller Start in den Tag.

Es war nichts schlecht, aber in Anbetracht des Preises fanden wir unser Zimmer nicht angemessen, es gab keine Wandekoration, keine gemütliche Sitzgelegenheit und aufgrund des vielen Sands im Außenbereich wäre ein Fußabstreifer sinnvoll gewesen. Somit haben wir uns dort nicht gern aufgehalten, zumal wir auch noch keinen W-Lan-Empfang hatten.

The property is beautiful in one place of the beach which is simply great. The room facing the sea was nice and cozy. This place is also perfect to see the sunset.

No minibar in the room = no cold water. You can refill the water from a water dispenser (the one we have in the offices) so the water is in a big plastic tank. So the story of the green approach makes 0 sense. You can have a minibar with glass bottles if you want to avoid plastic. I understand the rules of Mexico regarding smoking, but a small umbrella outside over the bench will be appreciated as you can immagine is quite hot. Care of customers is also this, a simple umbrella to smoke a cigarette in the shadow and not at 40 degrees.

No coffee machine in room - considering cost per night would have thought a complementary coffee in the morning would have been appreciated (outside of our breakfast sitting).

La comida que probé en Mandarina (practicamente toda la carta) un playo mas delicioso que el otro y considero que tenemos paladares excelentes. La atencion y la calidez del personal de Mandarina y Lumma excelente. Unos genios todos. El ambiente todo fue soñado.

Me hubiera gustado tener una habitacion que no de a la calle para evitar el ruido.

Beautiful beach front room. We loved to escape the wind in the afternoons by sunbathing around the pool. Breakfast was fantastic. Bed was incredibly comfortable. It's perfectly located for exploring town and walking up the beaches.

Great location close to town but far form any unwanted late night noise. Right on the beach with beautiful and peaceful views (beach room, Mandarina Restaurant). Room and bathroom spacious and comfortable, cleaned daily.

While I cannot give less than an 8 for the proximity to the beautiful Holbox shores and the location (the sea has a way to make you feel less attached to problems), I want to stress that the value for money was nowhere near what I expected. This comment comes from years of travelling around Asia and Europe in “similar” islands and hotel venues. The property has potential and it’s probably often fully booked in high season, however they really need to revisit their service. - Joseph, the Californian waiter (and possibly a couple of the ladies at Luuma), was absolutely fantastic and should find an employer that matches his skills and energy - everyone else: either confused, extremely slow or seemingly at their first experience in a beach bar. This would not be a problem if the cost of the stay wasn’t already quite high for what they offer. They don’t talk to each other and after hundreds of dollars spent on drinks and food daily they would ask you your room name even 5 times per service - tips are marked on bills at 15% and above (5% and above if you pay by card) and waiters would make you feel like you need to pay them consistently basically every time they bring you something. You cannot leave a tap open in the afternoon or in general even if you stay for a week as they need to get their tips before they leave or change service (never seen this before). Expecting tips at all times is definitely not the best behaviour (Cancun area and American Tourism probably make this more acceptable/standard) particularly when there’s a lack of competence to start with - asked once to have some water delivered to the sunbeds at 10.30am and was told that they would not do it due to timing of service (then after stressing again the ask was for a bottle of water they gave it to us) - 6 breakfasts: 4 delivered after 45 minutes of wait (for some eggs and oatmeal - is this normal?

Loved the whole vibe of this property. Staff welcomed us & showed us all around property. Beach was just gorgeous, perfect location for town & still lovely & quiet. Yoga amazing every day & the bike ride tour super. Room was beautiful & comfortable, had our own gate into pool (Nopal) & veranda. Beds AMAZINGLY comfortable.

our room was very close to reception so a little busy at times & at 7am every day the garedn staff would be outside which was a little noisy. Breakfast was included, however there were so many staff (all lovely) but no direction from anyone, so it was always entertaining how chaotic it was. Coffee was hard thing to get right at the property; which baffles me!

Perfect location, great staff, very good food. Private beach and sun loungers made it home effect chill get away. Loved every minute, will definitely be back.

We had some bugs in the room one day and it is (like many things in holbox) very expensive, even though we were there in low season.

Wife and I were celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary and Casa Las Tortugas lived up to it's sterling reputation that we have been reading. We stayed in the Tucan room which is on the ground floor with walking access to beach. The staff is great and very friendly. We went in Sept 2025 which is the low season with limited staff but we still received great service. The is food is fresh and excellent. Every meal was an experience. We loved the afternoon activities...Salsa Lesson, writing class and painting classes. We did booked a spa session which was very freshing. They dont have the best spa facilities though.

This is an incredible great hotel. Well located, beautiful room, delicious breakfast and grill restaurant, great staff and excellent activities organised by the hotel (salsa dancing, nature cycling tour, yoga lessons, Mezcal tasting) which were given by excellent and enthusiastic people. Great to end our 3 week trip here!

Nous avons adoré notre séjour à Casa Tortugas ! L’hôtel est magnifique, très bien situé et parfaitement entretenu. Le personnel est vraiment exceptionnel, toujours souriant et attentif. Un grand merci tout particulier à Danny pour sa gentillesse, sa disponibilité et son aide précieuse au quotidien, elle a largement contribué à rendre notre séjour encore plus agréable. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

Le seul petit point à améliorer : il manque un grand miroir dans les chambres, ce serait un vrai plus.

BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY WITH OUTSTANDING SERVICE.

This place is absolutely breathtaking! They genuinely foster an atmosphere of relaxation and camaraderie. At first, it took me a little while to adapt to the absence of a television in the room and the relatively simple amenities, but I soon discovered that the exceptional service and delectable food more than made up for it. Flor and Daniel, the front desk clerks, were wonderfully attentive and exuded warmth and friendliness throughout my stay. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting this hidden gem in Holbox; it’s an experience you won't want to miss!

If you want to escape to relax and de-stress.....Casa Las Totugas is the place to go to. The rooms are beautiful, the staff is awesome, and the beach is stunning.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. They have thought of every detail, from rooms that feel like sanctuaries to the large shower and outside sitting area. Everything is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The food is delicious with many healthy options. The hotel and the island far exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend Casa Las Tortugas and Holbox Island.

Visited this place 2nd for 5 nights on our trip of Mexico. Beautiful island, beautiful looking hotel and perfect location on the island. Room: on the surface a basic room (coco) and the cleaning/ room service team were excellent. Restaurants: tried LUUMA the first night- food was good (expensive but worth it). Service was terrible- waitress was very rude. Overall: unsure if I’d stay here again - think probably not given the hit or miss service.

Did two of the tours the bioluminescence and whale sharks. Both on reflection over priced. The bioluminescence costing 65 dollars/person- lovely peaceful kayak however the guide flicked the plankton a few times to show the bioluminescence. Whale sharks 250dollars/person- unfortunately didn’t see any whales sharks (one of the risks you have to accept), ceviche was lovely, didn’t get to snorkel at all, so paid to sit on a boat for 6 hours bombing about looking for sharks. Room: Basic. 1. Dimly lit bathroom 2. No full length mirror 3. No mini fridge. 4. No wardrobe or storage. The price you’re paying is for the outer hotel, not the room. Service was very hit or miss generally throughout. At the beach could be very good one day and then other very disappointing with next to no service or rude service provided. The beds on the beach were often occupied with belongings from other guests leaving belongings on the bed for hours without using them. Internet works about 25% of the time- even when working very slow. Restaurants: tried LUUMA the first night- food was good (expensive but worth it). Service was terrible- hostess’ were v rude. On check out (with the hotel being one of the more expensive for the island and certainly not a hostel) the reception has the cheek to ask for a tip for the cleaning staff (that’s what the expensive room payment of $350 a night for our small basic room should cover)

Tucked away on the serene shores of Holbox Island, Casa Las Tortugas is the perfect escape for those seeking relaxation and charm. The beachfront location offers stunning ocean views and easy access to the town’s laid-back vibe. We raved about the food – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, making every meal a highlight. The friendly and attentive staff make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. With its bohemian decor and peaceful ambiance, the hotel exudes a chilled atmosphere that invites you to unwind and truly disconnect.

Nothing really, maybe a service button on sun loungers? On their private beach some of the loungers are located far from the bar. So can be slow sometimes to get a waiters attention. Not the biggest problem as drinks were worth the wait!!

Wow! Where to start. Casa Las Turtugas is an absolute paradise! We loved every moment of our stay in Isla Holbox. Whilst it requires a considerable effort to reach Holbox (Car, Plane, Car, Ferry, Golf Buggy!), it is certainly worth it! From the moment we arrived the hotel staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Our room, Orquidea, was on the top floor with a fantastic sea/sunset view! And the plunge pool was the cherry on the icing on the cake! The hotel is so well designed, and I would say perfectly situated in Holbox - a five minute walk from the main part of town, and many bars, restaurants and shops. We tried two of the hotel's restaurants - Mandarina and Luuma - both were very good and reasonably priced for the quality of the food. The grounds and gardens are stunning. And the beach is just perfect - fine white sand and a shallow warm sea - and hardly any seaweed! Many good bars and restaurants literally a two minute walk along the beach either way. The beach area of the hotel is stunning - think plenty of palm trees, sun loungers, a fire-pit, tables and chairs and all-day bar service! Breakfast was included and very good - bread/pastries/fruit bowls + main, served directly on the beach in a beautiful seating area, or in the bar just back from the beach. When compared to Tulum, Holbox is much small and more charming. But there is enough going on to keep you busy for at least ten days! And the beach is much more accessible and affordable than Tulum. And the place generally feels quieter and safer. Getting around is easy, and we mostly walked the sandy streets of restaurants, bars and shops. You can also hire a golf buggy, or grab a special Holbox taxi if you want to travel further afield to either end of the island - Punto Cocos or Playa Mosquito - both worth a visit. All in all I think probably our best ever holiday. The hotel, setting, people and whole Holbox experience is something really special. We will see you again soon!

Nothing too much to say here. The only thing I think the hotel could consider is tea/coffee making facilities in the room and perhaps a small fridge. But I will use the rest of this space to add a few recommendations around Holbox: Restaurants: Big Fish, Basico, PiedraSanta, Paradoor33, Tacomoquieras, Painapol, Quartieri and a great choice of street food! Overall a good selection of upmarket dining and cheap, good quality street food options. Trips: Mangrove Sunrise Kayak Tour (crocodile spotting!), Playa Mosquito - walk along the sandbank, Punto Cocos - sunset. Bars: Hot Corner. What a place. Music and Salsa dancing in the street every night. Great fun people watching. La Anemona - great Margarita's just around the corner from Hot Corner. Beach Bars - Capitan Capitan, Raices, Bikini Bottom. All good and reasonably priced! Ice Cream: La Gelateria de Holbox - a regular nightly stop! Hire a Golf Buggy - great fun.

An incredible hotel in a wonderful place. Location superb, staff and service impeccable, restaurants all brilliant. Being able to walk out the room on to the sand in to the breakfast restaurant and the beach was wonderful. A truly fantastic hotel, will be back.

Grounds were immaculate, staff was incredibly friendly and they didn’t gouge you on pricing at the bars.

Closing tabs at the bar was a bit of a hassle.

Perfect location - right on the beach and super close to town, yet just far enough away that you couldn’t hear the loud music from other bars. Staff were friendly and attentive, with excellent service throughout our stay. The sun loungers were really comfortable with a good mix of ones in shade and ones in the sun. Our room was gorgeous with a very effective fan and AC so we always slept well.

That we had to leave! The shower took a few minutes to heat up so just give it time, the water was a pleasant temperature so worth the wait.

We stayed in a beautiful master suite, not ocean front but the size of the room and deck made up for that. The included breakfast was very good and the grounds were clean and well maintained. The beach is white sand and soft, with plenty of shelling if desired. The beach loungers are comfortable with plenty of shade available. The racoons were a bit off putting, they came on our deck and sat in our chairs. They're not too scared of you, so I kept the door closed and scared them off. But they're cute too, although they ate the urchins we had collected and left out to dry. The beach in this area is the best on the island, without the piers that were spaced on the beach to the south. I would definitely stay here again if I get the chance to return. The water is warm, calm, and shallow. It was great swimming and paddleboarding. We also enjoyed fishing and the hotel cooked our grouper and snapper perfectly!

It was a great design. I loved that they took care of air-conditioning in the room a good size, but it was very simple.

Everything was fantastic and went beyond our expectations. From the design of the hotel, to the comfort of the room and shared facilities, this place is designed to let you unwind and disconnect from the world. Staff was super friendly, breakfast was generous and super tasty, locations is perfect - being located just next to the town center but away from the noise. And the food… my god! their restaurant Luuma is on another level, we had some of the best food of our lives there. This place is paradise, I wish I could go back!

Lovely hotel with fabulous food. Very well manicured landscape and beautiful fire pit in the evenings. The beach loungers and ocean access is ideal. Many close beach bars and activities in walking distance. Great communication via WhatsApp.

Amazing staff. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and cared. Attention second to none. A big shout to the girls at the reception, Flor and Narce. The location is the best in Holbox and the food is divine.

I didn't like that I had to leave... honestly, I should have booked at least 3 more nights here.
