Nuwerus Lodge Paarl

Rien

We were pleasantly surprised by our room - it was large with a little kitchenette too. A nice big modern bathroom too. The place has a lovely country feel to it, despite being very close to the centre of Paarl. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious!

All was good!

Compleetheid en ruimte van onze ge-upgrade kamer👌

🤷‍♂️

We enjoyed the whole experience of staying at Nuwerus. Friendly staff. Spacious rooms. Comfortable beds and an electric blanket as a surprise. Modern and clean. good breakfast with a fireplace for the colder mornings. Beautiful property and surroundings. Will definitely stay there again.

Hosts friendly, spacious cottage, hearty breakfast with a fireplace in the dinning room. Will definitely be going back

Walking to rooms isn't covered. So you'll get rained on on rainy days

Top

Lovely place. Very peaceful. Clean and perfect location

Everything was perfect! Staff was incredibly friendly and for breakfast we could choose from a menu every morning. It's a beautiful property, lovely atmosphere and very comfortable stay close to all major attractions in Paarl.

Good location just outside Paarl. Lovely setting in a lush garden with beautiful trees and lots of squirrels around. Good mountain views on a clear day. Comfy rooms & beds. The breakfast was very good and we liked the recommendations for the area we received on WhatsApp.

Bathroom and outside area looked like it needed a bit of love. Didn’t bother us for the night we were there but we did notice.

The close proximity to our event on the weekend. The lovely breakfasts & Nellie’s checking in ahead of us travelling.

Staff is well trained and super friendly. Room was a delight, smelled amazing. Beds super comfortable and breakfast was divine.

Amazing and fresh breakfast and really beautiful place.

Second visit, absolutely love Nuwerus. Feels like home away from home.

Lovely and clean, staff members fantastic and friendly

The beautiful clean place

The aircon was not working and the squirrels kept running in the roof..

Inget

Goede ligging, goede kamers uitstekend ontbijt, vriendelijke ontvangst, spontaan goede restauranttips ontvangen, enzovoort.

Host, netheid kamer, bed, douche, parkeren, ontbijt

Niets

Everything! Beautiful place and staff amazing! Food delicious too. Also the super gorgeous Tessa.

Having to leave after our lovely stay!

Nuwerus Lodge is the best find in years. Everything was just right. Reception, the room, the bathroom, the linen, the garden, etc. Breakfast was excellent, with vegan, low carb and low sugar options. The service was excellent and it is really very good value for money. Compared to what we paid in the V & A Waterfront for dated and mouldy apartments at 4 times the price than at Nuwerus it is worth checking in here. the area around Paarl offers so much - wine estates, Fairview cheese farm, spice route, etc. well done to Jolande and her team

Nothing to note here

Delicious breakfast, attentive and caring host. Beautiful garden and serene atmosphere. Staff are non-intrusive, a well-managed establishment.

Couldn't have been better.

Quiet and cozy

All good

The most friendly people and such a beautiful property! Couldn’t recommend more!!! Breakfast was also delicious, and Tessa the gorgeous dog ❤️

Absolutely nothing!!!

Sehr freundliches Personal, tolles Anwesen, gutes Frühstück

Etwas außerhalb gelegen

A wonderful restful stay away from home. Cool and comfortably elegant. A pleasant experience

Pool, breakfast, spacious room

Beautiful place close to our venue

Everything was lovely

Fantastic family place. Big rooms. Very friendly owner. Lots of space for kids to play.

I arrived late and they were very accommodating. Very friendly staff. Lovely venue and very relaxing. Wish I could have stayed a day longer just to enjoy it more.

Wonderful stay at Paarl. Friendly host and friendly staff.

We had a lovely time. I think the property is a little tired and needs some updating in areas

As above

Sehr nette, freundliche Gastgeberin. Gute Lage. Gutes Frühstück

Super friendly and great host. Nice and comfortable accommodation, great breakfast.

A well guest house looked after by a really helpful owner and Nellie. Clean quiet and friendly. No disco or golfers. Just a bar with a honesty book. Brilliant breakfast and of course a beautiful dog A honest place that you can trust Well done.

Leaving

Lovely relaxed welcoming vibe AC in the room a real plus Filter coffee in room very welcome Lovely breakfast

Love the retreat, lovely caring staff excellent 👌 would highly recommend

Nothing not to like

Loved the warm welcome from Nellie. The breakfast omelette was really good and when I accidentally left my e-reader behind I was contact immediately and it was kept and then returned to me, thank you.

There was a little road noise but it did not disturb my nights sleep.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Yolanda was very attentive, in a respectful way. Some lovely touches with honesty bar. Layout of the cottage was nice and secluded. Quiet, relaxing - beautiful surroundings Swimming pool a treat. Plenty of games to entertain. Food was well cooked and catered for gluten free. Ample secure parking - felt really safe during the stay. Would definitely stay there again.

Some tiny areas could do with a touch up, A shame our cottage had no sink.

Ontbijt is fantastisch! Mooi zwembad. Super vriendelijk personeel.

Quiet, spacious, excellent facilities, nice pool side area, close to famous wineries and restaurants.

Excellent location for our visit to Boland Park Cricket Club.

The staff, grounds, location, food, all excellent.

Clean Friendly Location

could have had some bacon or meat added but was nice :)

nothing

Tolles Familienzimmer, sehr viel Platz.

Staff is brillant, place is beautiful like an Oasis

Clean, awesome, safe

Great individual chalets/bungalows/lodges Sparkling clean Lovely friendly hosts Delicious breakfast included

Another wonderful overnight stay at Nuwerus Lodge. We always look forward to returning to see Yolanda and her excellent hospitality.

The staff were absolutely incredible, helpful and went out of their way to make it comfortable

The pool was situated at the front of the accommodation where guests enter and exit, which is a bit in the open

Tout. Cadre superbe.

We absolutely loved our 2 days there ! We were a family of 4 and the famiky room was perfect. The breakfast was delicious and the owner even provideed pancakes the next day when the kids asked if they could have them. The boys loved the pool and we loved the honesty bar which is fully stacked up with wine/beers/spirits and soft drinks. the rooms also have loads of goodies too ! The room was very upmarket - amazing value for money - but most of all you are just made to feel very welcone and at home so its just an amazing place to relax. Staff were absolutely brilliant. perfect livation to visit Babylonstoren and spice route which were 2 big highlights of our 3 week holiday in south Afrika.

It is a peaceful place that is close to everything I needed. Nellie and Jolanda are extraordinary hosts and the breakfast adds a special touch.

Nothing.
