I was supprised that there are two hotels with the same name Royale Chulan (Damansara vs Curve) and taxi driver dropped me in the other one

​I was very disappointed with my stay. Unlike most hotels, this one does not provide or cover parking. The room was not clean upon arrival, and instead of complimentary bottled mineral water, there was only an empty bottle provided. To make matters worse, when we requested room cleaning for our second day, the staff only made the bed and left the toilet completely unwashed. I would not recommend staying here.

I really love your staff, they are very friendly n nice to talk too..... Mr Taran at the receptionist counter, Mr Shanon at the entrance. Even yr waiter n waitress were good n friendly too. Amir, Mohd. Iqbal, Angel n Shana. They were very nice to me. Later, I was told that they were your Interns during my stay at your Hotel. They deserved Credit for being very fresh in their post n were nice to their guest, expecially me, I am on WheelChair at the moment as I am recovering frm stroke in Nov 2024. That was my 3rd Sundays Stayacation at yr hotel. And i will definately come again. FuadAwang

Why theres only 1 room meant for handycap people ? Appreciate to hve more rooms. ONLY during my 3rd stay then I was given such room. A bit of dissapointing la. FuadAwang

The delicious Malaysian breakfast, (nasi lemak ayam goreng, sambal paru, bubur nasi, roti canai, ubi kayu, lodeh) yoghurt and pastries, fruits. Quite clean (under the bed needs cleaning though), good hospitality by staff, good response by reception staff

The intermittent hot water. I arrived early morning but there was no hot water in the shower, then water came from the floor trap. Cleanliness needs to be improved (only 80% clean - under the beds, shower tiles.

The location is excellent and very convenient, with easy access to plenty of restaurants, cafés, shops and essential amenities. The room was clean, well-maintained and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of choices. Overall, the hotel offers excellent accessibility and convenience, making it a great choice for both leisure and business stays.

The only downside was that the room service from the kitchen was a little slow, so the waiting time could be improved. It would also be better if complimentary parking was provided for hotel guests, as the current parking arrangement comes at an additional cost.

Love the room and I even got a free upgrade!

Faciilities in the bedroom are poor. No separate switch for bedside lamp, no USB port for phone charging. Housekeeping was barely adequate, did not refill drinking water, towels should be left in the bathroom - NOT on the bed, and generally not very clean. The bedroom is tired and needs upgrading. Reception staff are not well-trained and don't seem very responsive or helpful

The bathroom was not satisfactory. Water always collected on the floor after use. The bathroom sink looked poorly maintained, and the silicone sealing was missing or not properly done. The shower area was not designed well because water could easily flow out onto the bathroom floor. The shower gel provided was not enough for a 3-day, 2-night stay, even though I requested a refill during room service. Lastly, the toilet bowl had a visible crack, which gave a poor impression of the room's maintenance.

I had a wonderful and comfortable stay with my daughter & grandson... Good breakfast selection and i love nasi lemak & sambal paru delicious👍 ... also the kari ayam with roti canai🤗... Good location... walkable to the mall, cafe & restaurant... Credit to the friendly staff frm reception, security, housekeeping and restaurant staff.. Overall we enjoy staying at this hotel and inshaaAllah i will come back...

Location wise it very good for some of us who like easy access to a diverse range of food options and some shopping. There are 3 good supermarket within 5-mins (covered) walk from the Hotel; and also lots of other shops - including IKEA.

Buffet breakfast menu is quite "Malaysianized' and almost the same everyday, also quality is not so great. Fruits choice is always melons, the hotel should diversify and offer local seasonal fruits.

Location is excellent if you want easy access to food and shopping. Almost everything you need will be there. The attached mall is lively and there are plenty of activities for almost all of the family. Eateries are varied and affordable.

Breakfast spread has improved from my last visit but lunch and dinner I would go to nearby restaurants. There are no room service and tv channels could be better. The water dispenser is a good eco move but would like to have more reusable bottles in the room and maybe have hot/cold water dispenser, right now only room temperature drinking water is available.

Location is very strategic. Direct access to The Curve mall, walking distance to IKEA Damansara. A lot of restaurant located outside of the hotel entrance. Room is clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good, i really love the roti canai and dhal curry gravy, very delicious.

The staff were friendly, and our room was nice and comfortable. Highlight of this hotel would be that when you exit the lobby, you enter a restaurant district that is connected to to 2 shopping malls (and an Ikea). In this area, you are spoiled for choice when it comes to food, and the malls contain the usual KL mall shops like Miniso, Timekeeper, Brands Outlet, etc. Near the hotel, about a 5 minute walk, sits a train station that connects you to key KL destinations. One Utama, one of the world's largest shopping mall, is only one stop away. The train also goes to Pasar Seni where you can find Central Market and Petaling Street Market, and also goes all the way to the Bukit Bintang area where you will come up to the main area where Pavillion / Lot 10 / Bintang Walk sits. Definitely recommend this hotel for ease of food and travel!

The hotel is a bit on the older side, having previously stayed at this hotel when I was a kid, so you expect to find some things here and there. One of the walls in our room had drawings on it made by who I assume is a kid, the rim of the bathroom sink had a bit of mold, some surfaces of the bathroom look like it had dark stains on it, and the shower door did not fully close at the bottom, leaving the bathroom floor wet.

gem of an old hotel tucked away adjacent to the Curve Shopping Centre/Ikea. Facilities are, in general, still in good shape. Iron, hot water, lighting and air conditioning working fine. The room I stayed in was quite spacious. Overall; despite some shortcomings still value for money. Had stayed here previously. This time stayed here with my family for a week. Breakfast pastries provided were quite good.

Food choice was quite limited and monotonous. But good enough for basic survival. Bath towels provided looked very worn out, looking like overused floor mats. Staff look a bit dour and seem to have a couldn't-care-less attitude toward client requests. Asked the front desk to fix the malfunctioning room safety box but they never seem to take any action to repair. Afternoon before my checkout had asked the duty manager to arrange transport to the airport but upon checking out the next morning the front desk person said nobody relayed the request to her. Some internal miscommunications. It would be helpful for the hotel to send its staff for occasional motivational training to give the place a little bit more air of joyfulness.

We’ve always had good experiences staying here. The room was a bit warm though, couldn’t figure out the air conditioning setting. Otherwise enjoyed the stay!

Service was 5 stars. Bed was comfortable, meaning we got restful place to recharge amidst hectic schedules. Buffet was satisfactory. Close to amenities.
