Couldn’t fault anything about this hotel, staff are so friendly, the hotel is really clean, rooms are a great size for a family, location is spot on with a short walk downhill into the town, a longer walk uphill to two of the cable cars and a bus stop really close to the hotel.
Nothing
We stayed at Hotel Stadt Wien for a week from 24 June to 1 July. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. All of the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly, and the food was fantastic. We made good use of the summer card which such a bonus. We had a lovely surprise on our 40th wedding anniversary to find our table decorated with flowers and a card and they gave us free drinks that evening. Thank you Christine, Klaus and all the wonderful staff, hopefully we shall return one day!
Fantastic family hotel in Zell am See
Wonderful and very efficiently run family run hotel in a great location. Staff were all very pleasant, helpful and friendly. A special mention goes to Basi the bartender, he was very sociable and great fun! a real asset to the business. Food was excellent and plentiful we really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Zel am see!
Recently returned from the exceptional Stadt Wien hotel, staying there with my wife and son 11th July to 18th July booking through Tui. The Stadt Wien is a beautifully maintained hotel which is spotlessly clean and kept to the highest possible standards through out. What makes this hotel even more special are the owners and every single member of staff which they employ. They are all lovely people, that really put an exceptional amount of effort into making your stay a truly fantastic experience. My wife an son both require a gluten free diet and every effort was made by the staff to ensure this was provided. There was also excellent communication regarding the gluten free options. If required the guests can make a packed lunch up from the breakfast buffet. The staff at the hotel also provided gluten free rolls for my wife and son for this option too. All food in the restaurant was of a very high standard. The summer cards provided by the hotel were extremely useful, which meant we could have free bus and train travel in the region and discounts on entrance fees to museums and other attractions. We had a great holiday staying at the Stadt Wien hotel and a busy week exploring the different regions of this beautiful country. I would like to express my sincere thanks to the owners and to every single person who works at the hotel, for helping to make our holiday a truly fantastic and memorable one. David. Krystyna and Luke Merrall
This is a lovely family run hotel. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and all of the staff went out of their way to make sure that we had everything we wanted while we were there. The food was excellent with plenty of choice and availability. It was so helpful to be able to make a small packed lunch each day from the breakfast buffet. The afternoon teatime cake was also a lovely touch. The hotel is very convenient for exploring Zell am See and the summer and mobility cards provided gave us excellent free access to all transport and attractions in the area. So worth having. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful with local advice. We felt very welcomed and valued and we would thoroughly recommend this hotel
Just returned from a week's stay at this wonderful hotel . The whole hotel has been thought out thoroughly and everyone is so friendly from the owners Klaus and Christine to their wonderful staff who always greeted you with a smile and so helpful. The rooms are lovely, we had a small double room without a veranda but the room was large and had a sofa bed aswell and very clean throughout . It was quite hot and I asked for a fan and the lovely receptionist ( can't remember her name but she had dark hair ) came straight up with a fan ) nothing was to much trouble and very helpful with everything question asked which was many lol. We were half board and the breakfast and evening meals are tasty and plentiful you are even encouraged at breakfast time to make up a packed lunch . Peter always greeted us with a smile and enquired how we were . The extra bonus of having an outdoor swimming pool and sauna included was great . We made great use of the Summer card which let you travel on buses, train , cable cars , boat trips on the lake and museum's. If your looking for a family run hotel were they really care for the people who stay here then look no further this is the hotel to come to. The only little thing but it's only small is that it would be nice to have tea / coffee facilities in the room . Sell am See is a beautiful town and will be returning one day
I have just got home after staying here from 1st to 8th July. I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff and owners are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. There is a wide variety of food, even for me, who needed gluten-free meals because I have coeliac disease. The bread rolls and muffins come individually wrapped, and taste amazing. Lunch is also provided, or you can make up your own packed lunch. The summer card which is only available at some of the hotels is invaluable. You don't have to think twice about going on the boats, trains, buses or cable cars. The hotel is situated a little way up the hill, 5 to 10 min walk to the lake, and away from the noisy train line. Enjoy your holiday if you go here🏞🙂
We have just returned from a fantastic week at this wonderful hotel. All the staff we encountered were extremely helpful and cheerful, the ladies on the front desk answered my questions with great knowledge and excellent English. The food was of a very high standard with some nights having a theme, eg local farmers evening and a BBQ ( well done to the chef for cooking outside under cover in heavy rain!). The making of a packed lunch at breakfast time was actively encouraged with paper bags provided. Free cake was served each afternoon which was gratefully received after walking in the hills. The facilities around the pool, the spa and in the rooms were great. All areas were kept clean and tidy with towels provided to use in the pool/spa. As the weather was very hot the cool pool was very welcoming as was the sunbathing area around the pool. As others have said, the summer card and the mobility card enabled us to use cable cars, local buses, boats and trains. There are helpful timetables in reception to help you to plan your days. We travelled on local buses, used all the cable cars in the area along with two boat rides and a day trip to Salzburg! Zell am See itself is just a short walk down hill from the hotel. We explored a little and saw the light show with music on two evenings. We also experienced a musical event put on by local children and their music teachers. Good to see/hear children getting the chance to perform. We went with TUi and can recommend their trip to the Grossglockner High Alpine road. Excellent scenery and guide. I hope we may return to Stadt Wien some day soon and would certainly recommend it to friends and family.
We had a wonderful - if hot- two weeks at the Stadt Wien. Claus, Christina and all the staff greeted us on arrival ( we have visited many times ) as welcome guests. The room (604) has been upgraded to a high standard ( hard to believe as it was very comfortable before the upgrade). The food was superb and my vegiitarian husband was well looked after. Yvonne on reception is very knowlegable and gives good advice in excellent english. The dining room staff are discrete and attentive. All guests are supplied with the Kaprun card and Saltzberg mobility card which give free entry to many attractions and free public transport travel through out the region. For children there are animal to pet and some outdoor play equipment. This hotel is to be commended for its all round comfort and excellent staff.
We booked this hotel due to the amazing reviews on trip advisor. We had a child with us and the hotel was very friendly for kids while maintaining an ability for adults to have a holiday without knowing kids are around. The room was a great size, clean to a high standard, had all of the amenities you’d need to be self contained or just use it as a base. The facilities were out of this world. The pool was incredible with beautiful views. The farm animals were a welcome distraction for our child. The food was always different but always with enough of a selection to suit any taste. The fact there was free bike hire, buggy use, backpacks, playroom, spa, meeting areas and outdoor terraces made this hotel utterly stand out. Finally, the owners and employees. I have never experienced a group of people with so much knowledge of the local areas, compassion when things don’t go to plan (our child was sick for a few days) and generally understand each group of people staying have different needs. The team were cross trained to carry out multiple tasks, so there was never a case of that’s not my job, only of course let’s get that sorted. If you’re reading this and still thinking should I stay here. There are 1000 more positive things I could say! Thank you so very very much
Our overall experience at Hotel Stadt Wien was amazing. The hospitality received from all of the staff was outstanding and to such a high level we have rarely seen before, well done. The choice of food was extensive and to a high standard and the hotel offers so many complimentary services such as afternoon cake and the use of bicycles etc. which is a nice touch. The ‘Summer Card’ provided as part of the holiday deal was amazing, meaning that we made great use of this card for public transport as well as the many cable cars and some activities in the area at no cost. The location of the hotel, although on the outskirts of Zell Am See, was perfect for us as it was away from the hustle and bustle of the town. The hotel caters well for couples, as well as young families as there is so much to do in the area. We hope to return to this area again and if we do we will definitely stay at Hotel Stadt Wien.
Our first time to Austria ,so pleased we choose this hotel,it is excellent, food brilliant, staff amazing, nothing too much trouble, rooms lovely,a special mention to all the girls on reception-each one gives you a warm welcome and has so much information about buses, train and trips put,all the waiting staff in the dining room are so friendly and the service is second to non.The summer card you receive saves you money with free trains, buses ,boat ride, cable cars all free.We loved it so much that on the second day of our stay we booked again for next year, most people we spoke to had been before so that speaks for itself that everyone wants to return. We are missing you all already and can't wait to return again next year to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary with you all, thankyou to everyone for a brilliant holiday.
Location was just a 10 minute walk down to the lake and old town, the family run hotel was excellent, nice little touches like names on tables, the staff were very helpful, and we made use of the free tickets to the, cable car and boat trip, you can use bikes for free too, they even wished my wife a happy birthday the day after we left, so they remembered, we felt that they really wanted to make you feel welcome from the start highly recommend staying here if you are in zell am see
From the moment we checked in, with a warm greeting we received until the day we departed our experience at Hotel Stadt Wien was exceptional. The staff throughout could not do enough for you, they were attentive, polite, warm and friendly. The food was excellent and although the booking was half board it really is full board as light lunch provided, alternatively you can make your own packed lunch for the day. Homemade cake served in the afternoon also. Our room was very comfortable and immaculate. The facilities of the spa, free bike hire and even the petting zoo were great for all the family to enjoy. The added bonus of the Summer card made our whole holiday one of the best we’ve experienced and we plan to return next year. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel for helping us to have an amazing holiday. X
Every aspect of the hotel was exceptional! Staff, food, amenities and cleanliness! We loved every minute and will definitely be returning in the future. The attention to detail is remarkable and helped to make our stay so enjoyable!!! Thank you to everyone in the Stadt Wien Team. You’ve just wonderful ❤️
What a lovely hotel ! We loved every minute, Staff were wonderful could not do enough to make your stay memorable. Room we had was 301 and comes with a large balcony. Food was great and a good variety , changed every evening. Loved the cake in the afternoon. Loved that the owners were hands on in the running of a well "oiled ship" Well done to you all XX
Thank you Christine and Klaus for a fantastic holiday just had a fortnight at this hotel and everything was just superb and spotless clean rooms staff couldn't do enough for you a special thank you to Nicky Yvonne and Wendy who were all very helpful but all the staff are superb the best hotel in Austria we have been to and we have been eighteen times would definitely recommend
Excellent hotel. Room, food, staff were all wonderful. I can't fault the hotel in any way. The summer card and mobility card enabled us to enjoy the area to the full. Our grateful thanks goes to all at the hotel
Extremely attentive and friendly staff. Excellent hotel, very clean. The hotel is positioned close to town centre only 400m walk. Very comfortable, spacious rooms, with spa facilities and swimming pool. Buffet and meals were very good. Also available, you could take rolls, meats, cheeses and salads for lunch every day and not forgetting the cakes in the afternoon. Overall, a lovely weeks holiday.
The Hotel Stadt Wien is absolutely fabulous. Staff are amazing. Food, room, atmosphere and everything wonderful.
Excellent hotel. Room was spotless, cleaned well daily. The shower gel, soap and shampoo provided smelled gorgeous like a summer meadow. The food is amazing with something for everyone. Very good buffet breakfast and various options at night either from the buffet or the kitchen. You can also pack a packed lunch at breakfast time. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice garden area for kids with some animals like sheep, goats, donkeys and rabbits. We didn't visit the pool area as we were out and about as there is lots to do and see in the surrounding areas, but it looked lovely. Local bus easy to get to and work out where you want to go. The hotel gives you a summer card which saves a fortune as it gives free travel on the bus, cable cars, boats on the lake and entrances to attractions. Excellent holiday would recommend 👌.
Just back from a brilliant holiday in Zell Am See. The Stadt Wien is a truly amazing family run hotel. The staff are brilliant from the reception through to the restaurant. The food was really good quality and plentiful.
This was our second year in a row staying at Hotel Stadt Wien, and honestly, that says it all. We wouldn’t return if it wasn’t special — and it truly is. From the warm welcome from Klaus and Christine and their team to the attention to detail throughout the hotel. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing, yet still polished and high‑quality. The rooms are spotless and comfortable, and the facilities are exactly what you want after a day on the slopes (especially the pool and spa area!) The staff deserve a special mention — friendly, professional, and helpful. The food choice is fantastic, with plenty of options and high-quality produce (even my 2 fussy kids loved it!). One of the highlights of this hotel for me is being able to ski home from Schmitten after your day on the slops, it's truly magical. My kids are already telling me that they are looking forward to year 3 at Hotel Stadt Wien!
From the moment we arrived to when we left the staff couldn't do anymore to make our stay more enjoyable. All the staff are fantastic, very friendly and helpful. Yvonne on the front desk was exceptionally good, she organised everything for our daughter, and looked after us. The hotel is pristine, the food is varied and great quality, the spa and pool is really lovely and our room was very spacious we had a junior suite with balcony. 100% recommend this hotel
Just got back me and dad yesterday from Stadt Whine hotel and it was absolutely brilliant, family owners, staff where so nice/helpful/friendly/happy.. food was unbelievable breakfast and meals, I'm vegetarian and the chef made really nice meals for me.. hotel was so nice with so much space, the bar was great with tall seats and tables and spoke to most people at them. Would definitely recommend it and would love to go back in summer.... Thank you Stadt Whine hotel, family and staff absolutely loved it me and dad...😊
The hotel & facilities are spotless, including the pool & sauna areas. Staff go out of their way to make sure your stay is enjoyable, from booking ski lessons to sourcing pillows. The boot room is easily accessible from the hotel and the bus stop to take you to the gondola is just across the road. As previously stated the food is plentiful & very good. The bar area just off the restaurant is welcoming & comfortable. I have to give a special shout out to a member of staff, Wendy. who worked in the restaurant serving our table, for whom nothing was ever too much trouble. If you like a family run hotel, with a warm welcome & exceptional service this is the hotel for you.
This family run hotel is worth every positive review you read on trip advisor. We've just had a week skiing at this hotel and the staff were out of this world, so attentive and caring. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the food never disappointed. Loved the new pool and spa area, the park and petting farm were an additional bonus. We had an issue whilst staying here with my 3 year old daughter who was ill and the staff simply couldn't do enough for us. If I had to be super fussy and pick a fault (just so you know this is a real review and not computer generated one) we had the "Kinder Package" with our room which is the best we've ever come across with having a young child with us. Baby bath/Cot and/or small bed/Changing Mat/Extra Towels/Nappy Bin/Potty (we didn't book any of this, they just knew we had a young child with us) etc etc, one and only one thing that could have made it better is a child's toilet seat, but like I say I'm being ultra picky here. The BIG question, would we stay again? Absolutely Our friends are currently re-booking to go back in the summer.
Second time here done think there’s anything I can fault wonderful food love the pool area nice comfortable rooms wonderful staff lovely owners x my husband and his friend love the beaver😂
From the moment we arrived early there was great attention to detail. This is lead by Christine & Klaus who own and run the hotel and inspire really good guest experience. The hotel is modern, well maintained and the bedrooms very thoughtfully presented, the guest can feel really relaxed. The food on offer in the hotel is of exceptional standard and the offering is very generous. The spa is a lovely treat to enjoy after skiing. We look forward to returning .
Hotel Stadt Wien was a great family owned hotel. Excellent breakfast, Happy Hour and dinners. The staff is outstanding. Take the bus from right outside the door up to the gondolas and ski right to the door at the end of the day!!! Great spa and pool area to relax after a day of skiing.
Warm friendly welcome, very helpful owners and staff. Comfortable family room. Extensive apres ski food from 3-5pm Ski bus stop just outside, plus free ski locker. Added bonus of spa/sauna and pool-a great way to relax after being on the slopes
Fantastic stay with children for ski trip. We arrived late on a Saturday evening. Dinner was prepared for us which was very tasty. Our room was adequate. Family room with double bed and pull out sofa bed. Not a lot of cupboard space and a bit cluttered but no different from most hotels. Breakfast was fantastic as was dinner. More than enough food and choice. Afternoon tea was also really good, not just cake but bread and cheese and even a savory option like rice or soup. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Ski bus stop was just across the road and you could ski back to the hotel via a blue run We got our boot and skis downstairs in the hotel. I would say get there as early as possible as by the time we got fitted there was limited selection of boots. Pool was great for the kids. There was also a kid play room downstairs where there could disappear to before and after dinner. In summary I would highly recommend the hotel. Ski area was good for us with young children but not particularly big, although you could go to Saalbach and the kaprun glacier which we didn't do as was a short bus journey. Ski school was excellent
Superb hotel, friendly staff, food was amazing probably the best food we have had in any Austrian hotel over the past years. Leisure facilities were excellent, spa, pool and relaxation areas are so welcome after skiing. Had its own boot room. Had room for 3 adults and 1 child aged 12, bit cramped and 2 of us had to sleep on a put up couch for entire week, not perfect didn't sleep well but coped, room and the hotel were super clean. Despite this we would happily book again but change our sleeping arrangements.
This is our 3rd visit.. and I generally don't do repeats...still one of my favourite hotels ever, everything was perfect, the room, ambience, charm, location to town, lake, shops, train and ski areas, convience of ski hire in the basement (thank you Tomas for your good humour, professionalism and patience with our multiple boot issues!) and ability to ski back to hotel, conditions dependent ...and the staff- every single one amazing. Thank you Christine and Klaus for another wonderful stay. Most highly recommended.
We had a super week here. Very well run family hotel. We were half board and the food was very good. All staff were friendly. Close walk to village (5min). We took the 71 bus (every 10min) to bottom of main cable car lift.
It’s very difficult to put into words how special our experience was at Hotel Stadt Wien (which is the reason I’ve taken so long to write a review!). We spent Christmas week at this magical place and it turned out to be our best Christmas ever. Our ten year old son, Finn, who showed some reluctance about spending Christmas away from home, loved every minute of his stay. There are so many good things to say about the hotel that I feel I’ll never be able to summarise it all. The location of the hotel is so handy for access to all activities. Buses stop just outside the hotel, taking you to the mountain, village or to the bus station to access buses to other villages/towns. It’s also just a short stroll to the village and lake (stunning scenery and a lovely walking path by the water). The train station in the village has frequent trains to nearby towns and major cities. All public transport was free! The hotel itself is beautiful. A warm and welcoming reception area with lots of comfy seating and fireplace. This was a lovely area to relax at any time of day (board games, books and information/maps on hand). The rooms are impeccably clean and beds are so comfortable. Warm and cozy at all times. Amazingly quiet at night time. Bathrooms are modern and immaculate with hot towel rails and plenty of hot water. Fabulous showers! The dining area is thoughtfully and tastefully designed, warm and comfortable. The food is out of this world…fresh ingredients, amazing variety, perfectly cooked and so delicious. A daily feast for the taste buds. The Christmas Eve dinner was incredible, with food from all world cuisines included. It was like a taster menu from a Michelin star restaurant but more generous portions! Having said all that, what makes the hotel so special and so exceptionally good is the staff and the atmosphere they create. From the owners to the reception staff, to the servers in the dining room, to the cleaning staff….everyone was so warm, friendly, welcoming, kind, helpful and professional (to us and to our son). A special mention to the wonderful Yvonne who, I feel, made everyone’s stay even better with her warm reception, incredible organising skills, great humour and amazing memory for everyone’s names! She managed everything on reception with ease and never seemed stressed or bothered by anything. Christine and Klaus have created such a special place and they (and their staff) work so hard to make sure everyone enjoys their time at the hotel. It’s an exceptionally lovely place that we were so sad to leave when our stay came to an end. We can’t wait to go back again!! Our holiday highlights were…Dinner time every evening, Christmas Eve celebration at the hotel which was magical, pool time at the hotel, watching our son ski for the first time, tobogganing at the Wildkogel Arena, the Christmas markets in Zell am See and in Strasbourg, traveling by train through the valley to explore other villages, snow falling on Christmas Eve.
This is our 12th year back Totally gorgeous perfect hotel the team are amazing Christina and klaus,Yvonne go above and beyond to make to stay great we would highly recommend and have booked already for new year celebrations and ski with our family
This is my 2nd time to stay with the gorgeous people of Hotel Stadt Wien. There is such a friendly and warm welcome from every person you meet in the hotel, from Yvonne in reception to Tom in the boot room, to the fabulous owners Christine & Klaus and every member of staff, who are more like friends than staff. The food is delicious, the drinks are free flowing and the laughter is to be heard from morning to night. You don't have to ski everyday in Winter season, you can relax in the stunning spa and out door heated pool too. This is a place for all ages, but just be prepared for an overload of joy. I'm sad to leave this place.
I would rate this hotel 100% From a very warm welcome as soon as you arrive they make you feel special. The hotel is of superb quality with stunning modern but traditional rooms. The spa is exquisite. You have a family section Spa or an adult only with amazing steam room and saunas. The outdoor pool is just fabulous after a day of skiing. The food is delicious 😋 and the quality is fantastic Breakfast you have fresh bread, eggs played by their hens yum yum and an array of food to choose from. Socially in the evening it's a very relaxed vibe. You won't need shower gel or shampoo as they use a phenomenal organic Austrian herbal product You can ski to the hotel on a very easy blue and the bus stop up the mountain outside. This is a sublime hotel already booked it next year and have been going for 20 years
Here’s a polished but still warm, genuine TripAdvisor-style review you can copy/paste or tweak if you want: ⸻ I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Stadt Wien in Zell am See and can’t recommend it highly enough, especially as a vegan. The staff were absolutely amazing and went out of their way to make sure I was well catered for at every meal. There was always something suitable for me, and very often they even made me my own separate meal, which was so thoughtful and appreciated. Every morning the porridge was made with water and salt, and it was honestly delicious. Vegan margarine was always available too, which made breakfast easy and stress-free. It was clear the staff really cared and paid attention, rather than vegan options being an afterthought. The hotel itself is spotless, really well looked after, and has a lovely atmosphere. Combined with how friendly, accommodating, and kind the staff were, it made my stay genuinely enjoyable from start to finish. I would happily stay here again and would absolutely recommend it to other vegan travellers.
From the warm welcome when arriving to the farewell absolutely fabulous service. A very comfortable hotel, lovely food, and great location for skiing (recommend take 2nd bus to the lifts in the morning, 8.22 bedlam!) The staff and management are the stars of this hotel
We have just had a superb week at the Hotel Stadt Wien. The rooms are large and very clean and had masses of storage. There was a large selection of food at all meals all of very good quality. You will not go hungry. Shout out to our waiter Wed who was polite and engaging always asking after our day. The ski locker facilities are good with each room having its own locker so no fighting for space. There are spa facilities and you can collect a robe from reception on arrival. Being English we did not enjoy the naked sauna but appreciate that is the way it is in Europe ! There was a family sauna with clothes on but it wasn't really hot enough. I would recommend this hotel !
What a wonderful hotel with such friendly staff. My wife and I were really impressed with how consistently high the quality and standards were throughout the hotel. We especially loved the politeness of the staff, the size and quality of the bedrooms, the excellent facilities and the wonderful food choices for each meal. We would highly recommend a half board experience because the evening five-course meal was absolutely stunning every night. The hotel is definitely a top three in our book of all-time favourite hotels for skiing destinations, and we will definitely be returning in the future.
Amazing food, spotlessly clean & friendly staff.
Beutiful hotel 5min walk to the city centre and 2min walk up to the slopes. Nice room with comfy beds, great food and a lovely spa. Amazing service!
Fantastic week's stay at the Stadt Wien over the New Year holiday. The attentiveness to every detail of our trip started even before we arrived, with the staff proactively sorting out our Epic ski passes to ensure that they were ready to use when we arrived. That set the tone for the rest of the trip! The hotel is immaculately clean, the food excellent and plentiful, the pool and spa area gorgeous and just what's needed after a day on the slopes. Five minute walk into town, bus stop for main lifts right outside hotel. Above all, the whole team's kindness is constantly present - from just having a chat, to recommending a hiking route, to securing a New Year's Eve lunch reservation in a mountain restaurant. Thank you Christine, Klaus and team - we hope to see you again!
Fantastic location, staff, food and ambience. The hotel is family run and it shows as the staff are all warm, friendly and helpful. The food is amazing with a huge variety. The hotel is spotless and immaculate. The spa facilities are great with an outdoor pool, different saunas and relaxation lounge. It is close to the bus stop and a 5 minute walk into town. The attention to detail is second to none.
I always enjoy visiting Zell am See and the Hotel Stadt Wien. After a long day, a relaxing massage in the is the perfect way to relax. I will be back again.
Stayed here for the week of Christmas everything was 10/10 the staff and owners were extremely helpful and nothing was a problem food was excellent and the hotel was spotless clean will definitely be back next year
From the moment we were greeted in reception by the super-friendly and helpful Yvonne we knew we'd struck gold. This hotel is an absolute gem: the staff are faultless, friendly and welcoming (especially for us newbies - most guests we met were there for a repeat visit which in itself speaks volumes); the food is outstanding... the only challenge was not to eat too much; the facilities are superb - heated ski boot racks in dedicated lockers, a superb pool, and excellent spa. Room was immaculate. We felt privileged to share Christmas with Christine, Claus and the team and very much hope to return soon. Thank you for making it a Christmas to remember
What a fabulous place. The owners and the staff were all wonderful. They were all friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, nothing was ever too much trouble. 5* Customer Service from everyone. The hotel is beautiful, with wonderful views and gardens. The play areas and the animals are a great addition, and are very well kept, and looked after. Our room/suite was huge, spotlessly clean, and we had amazing views. The pool was a great size, as was the spa area, we used them most days. The food was fresh, plentiful and absolutely delicious. Always plenty of choice at every meal. Although we were half board you could have a light lunch in the hotel or make yourself a packed lunch at breakfast time to take with you. There was also cake every afternoon, should you be hungry. Every day we were given a newsletter giving information on activities and events both at the hotel and in the surrounding areas. There was also a weekly newsletter too. We found them very useful. The summer card and travel card provided with this hotel saved us a fortune, and was another bonus to staying at Stadt Wien. A brilliant holiday, in a fantastic hotel. We loved it.
This is an outstanding hotel, clean, modern but still authentic Austrian. The owners and staff are very helpful, all of the time. The evening meals are really well thought out, there is a multitude of options for breakfast and you can even make your own packed lunch. We really enjoyed our time at Stadt Wien and Zell Am See. We don't normally return to places we have been before but we may well make an exception here. Thanks.
Absolutely Fantastic Stay! Hotel a short walk from the town centre and station but hotel provided complementary taxis both ways. We stayed in a beautiful suite with two spacious bedrooms, a lovely lounge, plenty of storage, and a large balcony complete with our own personal sauna — everything was absolutely pristine. The staff were exceptional – friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. They really took pride in what they did. Meals were varied and delicious, and the afternoon cake was a particularly delightful treat. The spa area and pool were excellent, and there were plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained, from trampolines to table tennis and even a petting zoo. We had a truly relaxing and memorable stay and would highly recommend this place to families and couples alike.
Undoubtedly one of the best hotels we've ever visited. Christine, Klaus and their friendly team are simply wonderful. Not only are they super friendly but also highly knowledgeable and no request or query is too much trouble. The pool and spa area are fabulous and the beautifully decorated rooms are calm and relaxing with the comfiest bed we've ever slept in! The food is delicious with a wide selection at every meal (even for our fussiest eater) and the opportunity to pack up a lunch was very much appreciated for our days out exploring. The scenery is stunning and the inclusion of the summer card to allow us endless travel on the public transport and cable cars was the icing on the cake. We have never ended a holiday feeling so well rested and do hope we have the opportunity to return to this fabulous hotel again.
Simply the best hotel we have ever stayed in and out favourite holiday! Everything was faultless, from the food to the room to the exceptional service from all the staff! Included in our stay was the Summer and mobility cards which allowed us free or discounted entry into the sights in the local area as well as free travel. There is so much to do in the area, we couldn't fit it all in. Our kids age 8 & 10 loved playing in the gardens with other children and made friends in a really safe and friendly environment! We loved it.. the kids said 10/10 and my youngest cried when he left! We will be back...! Thank you to all and a particular shout out to Yvonne and Aisling who helped us with so many questions about how to get around ..with a smile every time!! 😊
We stayed at the hotel at the end of July. As a gluten free vegetarian I am always a little nervous when being catered for on holiday, but here I was so well looked after. The food was incredible, despite my dietary requirements I knew that there would be tasty options for me every day. The staff also catered very well for my 3 year old who can be fussy. We also appreciated being able to make a packed lunch in the morning, even on departure day. Afternoon cake each day was a fun experience and as usual I was not forgotten despite being gluten free. We loved all the staff who were so friendly and helpful, and brilliant with my daughter. They helped us organise our days out including the local buses. The garden was perfect - amazing play area, lots of animals who we enjoyed patting every day and an incredible pool. The indoor kids play room was a lovely surprise. Our room was absolutely perfect having just been upgraded. We can't wait to come back again, our family holiday here was the best. Thanks again to everyone for a great time.
Wow! What can we say this Hotel is fantastic. From the moment we arrived every member of staff were so friendly and helpful. I asked if there was a fridge in the room so I could store my medication and more or less straight away one was put in. The food was varied and delicious every day and again the staff were so attentive and professional. The Hotel was so clean it was like it had just been built. Throughout our week's stay we realised we had picked the best Hotel and the attention to detail was what made it stand out. We weren't ready to come home. Thank you Claus and Christine and all your amazing staff you made our holiday the best.
We returned to this hotel as our experience was so good last time. This remains an excellent hotel with lovely staff. We really enjoyed every moment. We had a lovely room with excellent views. The food was amazing, so plentiful. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially reception, who gave us great advice on things to do. We made great use of the summer card and travelled a bit further to take in local history, such as the open-air museum in Salzburg.
Hotel Stadt Wien fully merits all the wonderful reviews! We stayed as a family of 3 (1 x 14yr old boy) and we had one of our best holidays ever. The hotel is in a great location - an easy walk into town, to cable cars and the bus station to venture further. The hotel is pristine - so clean, beautifully furnished and lovely facilities. So many nice touches- from the daily cake, to the newsletter each morning. Staff are all lovely - their customer care is genuine, and we appreciated everything the staff did for us. We were in a junior suite and it was a fabulous room. The pool was never crowded. We fell in love with the Austrian alps, and it's going to be a challenge trying to find a hotel to live up to it next year!
We stayed here as a family of 5 with 3 children 9,5 and 1 alongside my brother and wife and my dad and partner. We immediately felt warmly welcomed by Klaus, Christina and their wonderful team. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was smooth and memorable. The little things like entertaining our baby while we got to eat as a family really meant so much to us! The family friendly spa, sledges and animal farm were loved by our children. The food selection was first class. We hope to be back to the stadt wein again in the future!
Great breakfast buffet and dinner options. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Staff all friendly and efficient. Lovely family hotel.
This was our third stay at Stadt Wien, and this time we were joined by our daughter and family. (Grandson aged 13 and granddaughter aged 9). It was their first visit to Austria and quite different from their usual holidays. They loved everything about the hotel, from the first minute that they checked in to such a warm and friendly welcome. The staff are all so helpful. The hotel is immaculate in every respect. It is cosy yet spacious and has pretty well everything that a large hotel would offer. Both breakfast and evening meals offer a good selection and cater well for the children. You are encouraged to make yourselves a packed lunch and even cakes are offered mid afternoon. The children enjoyed the outdoor pool and there is also a games room. In terms of cleanliness, the hotel is spotless. Full marks to Christine and Klaus, and their fabulous staff for a truly super holiday. This hotel rightly deserves its number 1 spot on Trip Advisor. We hope to return.
We had a wonderful stay as a family of 5 - children aged 7 to 12. Our room had two bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living area (plus two bathrooms which is very helpful!). The staff were all friendly and helpful. The food was good (we made up sandwiches at breakfast for lunch) although our fussier younger eaters were bored of pasta by the end of the week. The BBQ and buffet evenings were our highlight dinners. The hotel staff were helpful with local information and organised our airport transfers. We swam every day in the pool, which was warm even though we didn’t have the best weather. The hotel is very well located for the City Xpress cable car (up to an adventure trail that our children enjoyed) and the bus station for buses to Kaprun for other adventures. The lake is around a 10 minute walk downhill (so uphill on the way back!). We would definitely go back. We could easily have filled another week.
First family holiday in the Austrian Alps… (2 children age 9 & 12) and we loved it! If you are looking at visiting Austria, you simply have to stay at the Hotel Stadt Wien! Klaus & Christine (Hotel owners) and their team are very welcoming, warm, personal and friendly hosts. They always have time to talk and listen about your day. You can tell they have set the right culture and vibe. The hotel is beautiful, situated with stunning views of the mountains and Lake Zell. The new outdoor heated pool and spa facilities are 5 star. There are free mountain bikes to hire with helmets. Breakfast is delicious with all the usual holiday food treats and healthy options that you would want, to set you up for a day of Austrian activities. You can also make yourself a pack lunch to fuel your day’s adventure. Our room on the 4th floor was super spacious with 2 balconies and the most stunning views. Beds were very comfy and it’s very peaceful 24/7. Our children loved the animals at the hotels petting area. Thank you Klaus, Christine and team! We hope to see you again. Hage Family
We’ve just returned from a 7-day stay at Hotel Stadt Wien and had a wonderful time. The hotel is spotlessly clean, with spacious rooms and plenty of storage. The pool and spa facilities were excellent and a great way to relax. The food was fantastic every day, with a wide variety of choices to suit all tastes. What really made our stay special was the staff, every member of the team was warm, friendly, and always happy to help. We felt very welcome throughout our stay. Highly recommend this hotel!
Having become bored of all inclusive package holidays, and with kids who have outgrown kids club and mini discos, we wanted to try something a bit different with a hiking holiday in Austria. We absolutely loved our holiday and stay at Stadt Wein. The hotel is spotlessly clean and well kept, the food of fantastic quality, the staff the most attentive and friendly we’ve ever experienced and the pool and spa the perfect relaxation after a day in the mountains. There is SO much to do in the local area and the hotel staff will happily help you plan your day if you have any questions! I cannot recommend Zell am See and Stadt Wein enough! (Family of 4, kids aged 6yr and 13yr)
This was our third time at the Stadt Wien and definitely won’t be our last. The previous times we have visited we were with our family (children and grandchildren ) and it’s a perfect family hotel. However this time we travelled with another couple who had been to Zell am see many times but not to this hotel. They absolutely loved it and next time in Zell the stadt wien will be their first choice. Great food, comfortable and exceptionally clean rooms and the friendliest helpful staff. The bonus of the summer card which gives you free travel and entrance to cable cars and attractions is worth its weight in gold. Our friends were amazed by how much money they saved this time as their previous hotels had not provided the card. We had a wonderful holiday and will definitely return to the Stadt Wien
This was not my first time in Zell but my first in Stadt Wien. Its a fantastic hotel, very clean with big rooms and beautifully furnished. The staff are warm and friendly, the food is great with wide choice. You can take a packed lunch which really makes it a full board hotel. Its a great location, its about a 7 minute walk up from the town but its not an onerous incline and theres a bus stop outside the hotel. I picked the hotel as it was highly recommended but also because of the summer card..it gets you free cable cars, buses and trains and saves you a fortune.
This is simply the best hotel I have stayed in. From arrival to departure everything was perfect with the highest standards of food , service and facilities. It totally enhanced my holiday and all the staff should be congratulated.
Outstanding stay! The accommodation was exceptional — spotless and incredibly well maintained. The owners and staff were all friendly, welcoming, and clearly knowledgeable about the area. Service throughout was top-class. The food was absolutely lovely, freshly prepared, and clearly made with care. Bedroom and Spa area all perfectly clean and maintained. A particularly thoughtful touch was the option to pack a lunch from the breakfast buffet — paper bags were even provided, which made things so easy for our active days out. One thing to note: the brochure mentions a dress code for dinner. In reality, this didn’t need to be enforced, and most guests were dressed smart-casual. It created a relaxed but pleasant atmosphere, which I really appreciated. When booking, I was slightly hesitant about the idea of a formal dress code, especially for an outdoorsy holiday, so this was a welcome surprise. Overall, a wonderful experience — I’d absolutely recommend it. Hotel Stadt Wien — the management and staff delivered an exceptional experience they can truly be proud of.
A fantastic experience at the Hotel Stadt Wien. The friendliness of the staff, ambience and quality of the food were outstanding. The location was perfect in terms of the short walk to the lake and access to the ski lifts. The restaurant was really nice and the choice of food was exceptional. We particularly appreciated the warmth & friendliness of the reception staff. We were always greeted warmly even if we were just walking through.
Wondeful family style hotel in walking distance from city centre, with great amentities such as pool, own 'petting zoo' with possibility of feeding. Playground, swings, bikes for all ages, pool/sauna, great breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets and meals and the friendliest staff you've seen in a hotel for a long time. Loads of parking just outside, and even possible to purchase charging of electric car (slow charger, 380v, but the hotel has an adapter).
From the moment you walk in the door the staff, without exception, are friendly, professional, welcoming and good fun. Our room was spacious, comfortable and well-maintained. The food, service and presentation are first class. Unusually, you are invited to prepare a packed lunch at breakfast which is a welcome bonus if you’re going out for the day. The pool area is great for relaxing and unwinding at the end of a taxing day.
We’ve not long returned from a fabulous stay at the Hotel Stadt Wien. The room and rest of the hotel were great - lovely food, brilliant facilities and friendly and helpful staff. They even gave my youngest son a gift from the ‘tooth fairy’ when he lost a tooth whilst we were there. The summer card included as part of the stay proved a really useful additional bonus too. We will definitely be back!
My partner and I had an absolutely amazing time at Hotel Stadt Wien. It was our first time in Austria and this hotel and all the staff couldn't have made it any more perfect. Summercard offered here was also a huge bonus. Rooms were lovely, very spacious and clean. Loads of space to hang clothes and feel at home. The room did get quite hot, so if you plan to travel when it may reach up to 30 degrees, be sure to bring a fan. Food was very tasty, always choice enough for everyone. At breakfast you could make a packed lunch for the day or state if you'd like a basic hotel lunch. Cake was served later in the afternoon and dinner was themed and either buffet or a mix of buffet and waiter service. All perfect! Pool arena was very tranquil and a good variety of saunas, plus a massage therapist which was handy after long walks. Most outstanding for me was both the friendliness and service from all the staff. I've stayed at some top rated hotels before where everything seems far too stuck-up and intimidating but every member of the staff here were polite and helpful. Such small things made all the difference, from the newsletter every day to the receptionists helping with travel difficulties, or owners just checking up everything was okay as we sat outside - it was phenomenal. I could not recommend it more. We will be back, both in winter and summer. I'd like to thank everyone at the hotel for making our holiday one of the best we've ever had.
Had an amazing week staying at the Stadt Wien. Cannot fault anything. From check in to checking out all the staff were fantastic. The girls on reception are so helpful and nothing seems too much trouble. Also the waiters, bar staff and owners were brilliant. Always greeted with a smile and hello. Food was fabulous, always a great choice. Probably the best I have ever had in a hotel. The Summer and Travel card were a bonus. Saved so much in the week. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. Hope to visit again in the future.
Fantastic family hotel. Facilities spotless and staff always had time to assist in any enquiry. Pool area lovely to relax inside and out for those beautiful summer days. I travelled with my mum who required shady cool areas out of the heat which she was able to find and relax in. Our room had a lovely balcony with plenty of room to sunbath on.
My wife, young daughter, and I recently returned from a wonderful 7-night stay at Hotel Stadt Wien. Our room, despite being one of the more basic options, was immaculately presented on arrival and a very good size. As well as a cot for our daughter, the room came equiped with a changing mat and nappy bin which was very much appreciated! The food is excellent. Breakfast is a classic continental buffet with freshly made omelettes also available. Guests are also invited to take a packed lunch from the breakfast - very helpful if you plan on exploring the beautiful surroundings as much as we did! The dinner options changed each evening and were all delicious. Cake is available for guests in the afternoon - a welcome sight after a morning of hiking and which went down lovely with a cold drink from the bar! There swimming pool is heated to just the right temperature and is very well maintained. Also in the garden is a large playground for children and of course the petting farm - our daughter loved being able to feed the animals! Inside, there's another play area for children and a large selection of bikes for hire. We would definitely recommend a lap (or two) of the lake, which has a dedicated bike path all the way around. The 'Zell am See / Kaprun Summer Card' for guests is an amazing idea - free public transport for the week (including cable cars) and entry to lots of local activities. We visited two of the nearby lidso, Sigmund Thun Gorge, and went on a scenic boat trip of Lake Zell. I've left them to last as they deserve a special mention - the staff at Hotel Stadt Wien, who are all very friendly. George, in particular, was amazing at making our daughter laugh and Pavel (our waiter) provided an excellent service. Christine and Klaus (the owners) were present throughout the week and led by example in their service and warm welcome. If you are looking for the perfect hotel in Zell am See, you won't find anywhere better than Hotel Stadt Wien!
We had a lovely warm welcome and all the staff were brilliant throughout .we enjoyed our stay in the hotel , fantastic food and amenities. The summer card as brilliant for seeing the attractions and did many lovely walks in the mountains . We will definitely return to Hotel Stadt Wien and look forward to seeing everyone again .
Have arrived home after spending a week here and cannot wait to go back! Christine and Klaus are exceptional hosts, and have a fabulous team of staff to support them. The area is perfect, with a bus stop outside the hotel. The added bonus of staying here is the Summer Card, which gives you real freedom to explore the area. The hotel is clean, spacious and well laid out with everything you need on hand. The food is well presented and a good choice on the menu, at breakfast you are able to put up a packed lunch too! Our room was spacious and comfortable, ensuring a good nights rest after sampling an evening drink at the well stocked bar. To me there are many positives to this hotel, but the staff are the icing on the cake! Thank you all for a wonderful week!
Just returned from a superb week at the Hotel Stadt-Wien. From the moment my mum and I stepped through the door, we were made to feel so welcome, as if you were a family member visiting. I have stayed in many 4 star hotels in Austria over the last 30 years, but the Stad-Wien is without doubt the best. We had a junior suite with a balcony on the second floor, which was looking down towards the lake. Yes, the road does run past the hotel, but there was very little noise and as it was hot, we did sleep with the window open. The room was large, light and beautifully presented, with plenty of storage space and a good size bathroom. The food at the hotel is both plentiful, tradtional and delicious. There is a vast choice at the breaksfast buffet, both hot and cold food are offered. Omlettes are cooked fresh with a choice of fillings. You can make a packed lunch up from the breakfast buffet or a light lunch is offered at the hotel. From 2-5pm homemade cake is available, which I would definitely recomend. Dinner can be choice of 3 main courses or a speciality evening, but there is always a large selection of salad items, cold meats along with fruit, ice cream, cheese, juice plus tea and coffee are available. There is plenty of choice and the quality is excellent. The hotel has a lovely garden with plenty of loungers along with a pool and is great for relaxing. It takes about 7 minutes to walk down the hill in to Zell am See. If you don't fancy the walk then there is a bus stop right outside the hotel. The hotel provides a Summer Card which includes free use of the cable cars along with many other extras, so make full use of this. It is also free to use the buses and trains. The staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. I would not hesiate to recommend this hotel and I look forward to a return visit.
Great experience from start to finish. Nothing too much trouble, staff all lovely - the play area in particular was fantastic for our 2-year old daughter. We would love to come back.
Just got back from a week’s stay and the whole experience was brilliant from start to finish. All the staff were friendly and helpful (shoutout to George), and helped make the stay brilliant. The hotel itself is superb, spotlessly clean and well maintained with good facilities. The hotel strikes a nice balance between family-ran yet big enough to have a range of good facilities; pool, sauna, free bike hire, kids room, etc. The food was excellent and packed lunches a nice bonus. The Zell am See summer card is a huge benefit as allows free access to local and regional transport as well as cable cars and attractions. Overall, we couldn’t recommend highly enough and if we return to Zell we won’t be staying anywhere else.
We recently stayed here with our two children (13 and 11) and my parents. We all had the most incredible holiday. The hotel is spotless, really well appointed and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The food is really good, with a great selection each day. The rooms are really well equipped, and the little extra touches, like free lunches, free afternoon cake and free bike hire just top off an incredible hotel, in a great location.
Beautiful hotel in a perfect location for the town and the walks. Hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing it too much trouble. Rooms have great views and the pool is perfect. The summer pass the hotel gave us enabled us to travel and experience the all area had to offer at no cost. I would stay again.
Second time at this hotel it is excellent all staff are professio and put guests first meals are outstanding the whole experience from start to finish was magnificent and will be back rooms spacious and extremely clean fully filled bar I fact just a perfect place for a holiday
Much credit to the owners Christine and Klaus and their lovely staff, who go beyond their duties to help and serve you. Nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation, longe, bar area and restaurant were very clean and aesthetically pleasing. Ski lockers are large and the ski bus picks you up right out side the hotel There is a ski service department in the locker room and ski passes can be purchased at reception. The heated outdoor pool is amazing and the whole spa area is beautifully clean with a lovely view over the gardens and the pool. The only thing I missed was tea and coffee making facilities in the room but had I asked for it, I'm sure it would have been provided.
Lovely stay at this immaculate, family run hotel. Although we arrived late on Saturday some food was provided on arrival. The bar and communal areas are very welcoming and the play room downstairs is a good place for the kids to hang out in for a while after dinner. There's a bus stop directly outside to save you the 10 min walk to the city express lift, the 10 min walk back up the hill with ski gear is best avoided. Ski-in was not an option when we were there due to lack of snow low down. The warm outdoor pool and family sauna are great for recovery after a day's skiing. The evening meal is a combination of buffet and off menu: excellent salads, lovely freshly baked bread, cheese selection, soups, ice creams. Some of the main course options we had were: schnitzel, steak, roast pork, tilapia, roast beef, venison, duck, lasagna, BBQ night. They don't offer the likes of chicken nuggets and chips for the kids every night but normally have a pasta option. The breakfast had a great selection of cereals, porridge, eggs or omelette and bacon. Only gripes were the orange and multivitamin juices were very watery at breakfast and it would be nice to have the coffee machine available with the cake and snack provided aprés ski. The hotel was kept very clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would heartily recommend and happily stay here if returning to Zell am See.
Fantastic stay at a lovely family run hotel. High end service, no complaints , efficient and friendly service from the get go. Great food and phenomenal value for money in my opinion. The staff were awesome and owners were always front of house. Would definitely stay again.
Return visit to this exceptional hotel. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the food is plentiful and varied and of exceptional quality. The owners Christine and Klaus and all of their staff deserve their 5 star reviews, they go above and beyond to make your stay an amazing experience. They had a band play one evening who were very good, they also had traditional Austrian entertainment, the young entertainers were very talented.
This is our second visit to this fantastic hotel, every thing about it screams out, GIVE ME ANOTHER STAR, because the hotel is worth more than just 4 stars. The staff all over the hotel from house keeping to the restaurant and the owners Christine and Klaus go beyond their duties to help and sever you like no other establishment I have stayed at, they put themselves out to help you no matter what. The restaurant is a mix of buffet and table service and all the food is hot and delicious and if you ask will be cooked as you like it. All the rooms are of a very high quality and we will definitely be back. The ski bus picks you up right out side the hotel the ski lockers are spacious with a secure digital lock so no keys to lose. There is a well trained ski service department in the locker room and plenty ski and bicycle hire equipment for everybody. The swimming pool is amazing especially in the snow, the heated pool is worth a visit alone so don't forget your swimmers. There is a sauna which is beautiful clean with a lovely view over the well kept gardens and the pool. The young children are looked after as well, there is a small collection of farm animals for the kids to enjoy in the garden. All in all the Hotel and staff should be proud of the hard work and the effort they put in to make your stay as perfect as possible.
Last day of a great family holiday . The breakfast and a dinner is just out of this world. The staff are wonderful, the location for the city express and the transxpress / ski school is brilliant , all in all a 5 star rating from our family . Thank you .
Our family had the pleasure of staying for a week in Hotel Stadt Wien during Christmas 2024. It’s obvious from the time you arrive that every effort is made to ensure guests have a pleasurable stay. The hotel owners and staff are very welcoming and attentive, and the standard of service provided is very high. The hotel is clean and relaxing, with quality meals served each day. We’ve recommended the hotel to our family and friends and hope to return again in the not-too-distant future.
Had the most amazing time from start to finish. All the staff were amazing and all super friendly and helpful, couldn't do enough for us. The location was superb with a bus stop right outside to take us up to the lifts. The food was absolutely fantastic and first class. The rooms were great and cleaned everyday to perfection, nice and warm throughout. The ski lockers were great with fab access to the road to the bus. The pool and sauna, steam room and resting rooms were fab. The only drawbacks we had were - we thought tea and coffee should be available at the afternoon tea and the drinks were quite expensive but all in all an amazing time. Would definitely go again and recommend it.... Jill, Neil, The Birds and Jay xx
This hotel is the best skiing hotel we have stayed at in over 25 years of skiing holidays , staff so friendly and helpful , rooms spacious and immaculately clean , food outstanding with so much choice , would definitely recommend and would love to return .
very nice staff and the location is the best, wonderful view from balcony, good parking area, they gave us free summer cards for the family which used for teleferik just walking distance from the hotel, the best stay in my Europe travel.
nothing
Beautiful outside pool and spa area, nice restaurant service. Nice location, close to the center and also to lifts and hills. Beautiful flowers on balconies.
We got a large room with windows facing the river, but in fact it was a road side on the first floor - vehicles were driving the road early in the morning. We requested a change of the room next day and got one ovelooking the pool and the yard, which was better for us.
