The Grand Hotel is just beautiful, feels like stepping back in time. They’ve taken such good care of the property. Our room was upgraded to a 2 bd/2 bath sweet (+sauna!) and had a balcony with a view of the lake. Do not miss the breakfast, def the best buffet we’re ever had. I will dream about the omelets and Belgium waffles. They have bikes to ride around the lake and give you a commuter card to use the shuttle service to get to other parts of town. They also have many comfy nooks near the lounge/restaurant to grab a drink. Also the location can’t be beat, you’re close to everything.

The beds are great, but the living room area furniture was not super comfortable. That’s why we ended up by the lounge a few times, but we didn’t mind. It can get hot in the rooms, but the fans worked alright.

There was nothing grand about my stay at the Grand Hotel Zell am See Before I had even arrived, I received a WhatsApp message asking me to make a payment for my stay — despite the hotel already having received full payment. It subsequently became apparent that there had been a data breach and that someone had obtained customers’ details and was contacting guests via WhatsApp. Had I clicked the link and made the payment, I could potentially have been scammed out of a significant amount of money. This was an extremely worrying and unacceptable start to our stay and immediately made me question the security of the hotel’s systems. What made this even more concerning was my conversation with the receptionist when I checked out. I specifically asked her about the data breach and the fraudulent WhatsApp messages. Her response was, essentially, that because I had already paid, it wasn't really an issue for me. I found this response extremely disappointing. The fact that I personally had not lost money does not make a potential security breach any less serious. My concern was about the fact that my booking details had apparently been compromised and that someone was attempting to scam hotel guests using that information. I expected much more concern and reassurance from the hotel regarding such a serious matter. On the day we arrived, the problems continued. We followed our sat-nav to the hotel, only to find a barrier preventing access. At no point before our arrival had the hotel advised us that we would need to get out of the car and telephone someone to gain access into the town and then reach the hotel. After a long journey, this was incredibly frustrating and could easily have been avoided with some clear information from the hotel beforehand. When we eventually arrived, the hotel was extremely busy. The concierge eventually came out and helped us with our luggage, which I appreciated.

Truly wonderful place to stay! Makes you feel like you’re back in the past. One night there was a couple singing and it was wonderful listening to them while enjoing drinks on the terrace. The best part for us was the dinner and food in general. Taste, selection and presentation was on such a high level! Coming from Croatia, we were so happy to meet that much of staff from our region. Everyone else was, of course, wonderful, but we felt like home at every moment. Location is truly amazing, sitting next to the lake and enjoing the view. Huge recommendation for this place and I hope I’ll come back again!

For such hotel, beds and pillows really need an upgrade. Out balcony was overlooking the roof of dining area, and there was just grass and weeds ruining the view of the lake.

Die Lage ist überragend. Es ist DAS Postkartenhotel und hat zum Teil auch noch den alten luxuriösen Charme. Das Grand Spa ist ebenfalls überragend, auch wenn es weit weg ist vom See / Pool.

Das Hotel lebt noch von besseren Zeiten, ist auch für ein Grand Hotel ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen und nicht gepflegt. Die Zimmer sind überraschend einfach ausgestattet, selbst unsere Suite. Kein Kühlschrank, ungemütliche Betten, keine Klima. Das Personal hat auch keine Lust, was ich aber z.T. verstehen kann, weil die extrem vielen arabischen Gäste unhöflich sind und keinerlei Respekt zeigen. Abends sitzen sie mit kurzer Hose und Flipflops im Restaurant, in dem es einen dress Code gibt, und gucken laut Al Jazeera. Das Personal macht nichts… Insgesamt hat sich Zell am See mit der Tourismuspolitik der letzten Jahrzehnte glaube ich keinen Gefallen getan. Es ist schon abschreckend, selbst für tolerante Menschen. Wir hatten HP, das Frühstück war okay, aber das Abendessen maximal mittelmäßig für den Preis.

اهم عيب من وجهة نظري هو عدم وجود تكييف وخاصة بالايام الحارة او للاشخاص المتعودين على وجود التكييف فقد كنت اعاني من اجل النوم وانا لا احب فتح الشباك اثناء النوم علما ان هناك مراوح في الغرف التي استأجرتها الامر الاخر نوع الاسره والمخدات لم يكونوا مريحين بالنسبة الي

Ich liebe meine Heimat und darum mache ich auch so gut wie immer Urlaub in Österreich. Zell am See ist ein wunderschöner Ort, aber ich dachte, ich bin in Saudi Arabien. Das Hotel war zu 70 Prozent mit solchen Gästen belegt. Ich sah überwiegend nur Burkas und bis zu den Augen verschleierte Frauen mit ihren Kindern und Männer. Das ist nicht meine Vorstellung von Erholungsurlaub in einem so schönen Ort wie Zell am See. Ich habe mich auch mit Einheimischen unterhalten und sie bestätigten mir, das es hier im Sommer überwiegend so sei. Vielleicht sollten sie das mal berücksichtigen, das sich diese Leute dort aufhalten. Ich genieße es halt mehr, mit den Gästen auch zu plaudern und bevorzuge auch österreichisches Personal.

We paid 2000 euro for 3 nights and the Hotel refused to reserve a table for dinner.

湖に浮かんでいるようなホテルでとても豊かな気持ちになりました。ザルツブルクからも乗り換えがなく一本で駅からも近いので車をレンタルしなくても来れました。 ウェルカムドリンクからお茶の時間のケーキ、夕食、朝食も美味しかったです。

クーラーがないとの事で心配してましたが当日はそこまで気温が上がらなかったので大丈夫でした。

They charge you any room service for example if you request meals/tissues...etc, except the daily tide up Most of the room are not Airconditioned Only served with a fan. The Building is Historical but the furniture and room layout are outdated

The location is exceptional. The hotel is directly on the lake, the views are beautiful, and the historic building has enormous potential. This is clearly the strongest part of the property.

Unfortunately, almost everything else fell below what I expected for the premium price. We had to call three times to get our luggage delivered after check-in. We were not properly informed about the Guest Mobility Card. The suite had no AC and only weak portable fans, uncomfortable bedding, tired-looking furniture, and an electrical socket hanging out of the wall. Housekeeping was particularly poor: the room was not vacuumed at all during our stay, the sheets were not changed, dust was not properly removed, and a dead bug remained on the window shelf from arrival until departure. A used bathrobe left on the floor for replacement was simply picked up and hung back up. We also put the “Clean My Room” card outside at 8:00 AM, returned at 2:30 PM, and the room was still not serviced. The manager told us they do not respect the “Clean My Room” card and only respect the “Please Do Not Disturb” card. We were also provided tap water in a jug rather than bottled water, breakfast was very basic, and checkout was 10:30 AM with an extra charge to stay until noon. The hotel repeatedly relies on being around 130 years old, but much older historic hotels such as Goldener Hirsch in Salzburg and Hotel Imperial in Vienna show that heritage can still mean excellent maintenance, beautiful interiors and outstanding service. In my opinion, the main issue here is management and attention to detail, not the age of the building.

انا من رواد الفندق ولكن هذه المره كانت تجربتي سيئة غرفتي كانت مع تكييف في مبنى الكازينو وكان يوجد به اعمال صيانه في نفس الممر التي توجد به الغرفه يعملون في الساعه 9 صباحاً لم أنام جيداً طيلة فترة اقامتي ، كان المفروض يغلقون المبنى الذي تحت الصيانه حيث انهم كانوا يحفرون الجدار يعني تخيل صوت دريل وحفريات بجانب الغرفه ! وموظفون خدمة الغرف يفتحون الباب بدون استئذان يومياً في الساعه 8 صباحاً بالرغم من اني وضعت لافتة عدم الازعاج ، موظفون الاستقبال لم يستجيبوا لخدمة احضار السيارة حيث انتظرت لمدة ساعه كامله في اللوبي لكي يحضروا السياره واخرتها جبتها بنفسي ، تسجيل الخروج الساعه 10 ونص صباحاً واذا تأخرت تدفع 50 يورو ! هذا غير انه الفندق متهالك والاثاث قديم ومكسر ومايسوى القيمة الماليه ! حتى التنظيف سيء !

Sfaff was great. There was a major water pipe break and one of buildings was out of water overnigth. All staff member were polite, not nervous and tried their best to assist us. All the best to all of them.

Property is pretty worn off. Need major restauration. Restaurant is big, average.

الغرف الغير مكيفة والجو شديد الحرارة داخل وخارج الغرفة ولابد من النظر في اعادة او تزويد الغرف بالتكييف ولا يمكن فتح النوافذ بالليل لكثرة الحشرات وايضا السعر مبالغ فيه للغرفة وخاصة بدون تكييف وايضا حصلت مشكلة انقطاع الماء عن الغرف من الصباح الباكر الى الظهر ولم يتم تعويض النزلاء او تمديد فترة المغادرة من الفندق وهي الساعه العاشرة والنصف The rooms lack air conditioning, and the temperature inside and outside is extremely high. The hotel must consider replacing or installing air conditioning in the rooms. The windows cannot be opened at night due to the large number of insects. The price for the room is also exorbitant, especially without air conditioning. Furthermore, there was a water outage in the rooms from early morning until noon, and the guests were not compensated or given an extension of the 10:30 PM check-out time.

Breakfast was the highlight of the property

The staff will gaslight you to convince you it’s your fault that they cannot find your rental car in the garage. Also, most of the hotel does not have AC and they bait and switch you on these websites.

Every thing * The room is completely unworthy of being described or sold as a “suite.” It falls far below any reasonable standard of comfort or quality. * The air conditioning is not functioning properly, making the suite unbearably hot at all times. * There are mosquitoes throughout the room, making it impossible to relax or sleep comfortably. * The bed is one of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on. It caused severe back pain and made it impossible to get a proper night’s rest. * The cleanliness of the suite is unacceptable, with housekeeping standards well below what is expected from a hotel of this level. * Every time we requested ice, the staff on the first floor repeatedly delayed the service without any valid explanation, showing a lack of professionalism and urgency. * Overall, this has been an extremely disappointing experience, and the quality of the accommodation and service is far below the standards that guests should expect. I would appreciate immediate action and an appropriate resolution to this matter.

This has once been a great hotel and it’s lakeside location is it’s big attraction, however, it has seen better times. The staff are doing their best and try very hard.

Access to the hotel by car is difficult and this needs to be made clear, it involves ignoring no entry signs, crossing a rail line whilst avoiding tourists and negotiating automatic raising bollards. I had messaged this hotel not once, but twice, requesting secure parking for a Ferrari but upon arrival we discovered that the underground parking was inaccessible due to ground clearance, a fact they must be aware of but failed to divulge. Our car was therefore to be parked on hotel frontage with public access and became a tourist attraction. As expected it was damaged, scratched and the front grill tampered with in an attempt to forcibly remove the horse motif. For the first time at any hotel I was required at check in to confirm that we would not smoke in the room or attach hoses in the bathroom, presumably for washing our bottoms. The room supplied was basic with little in the way of luxury. The terrace, like most of the hotel is fully open to the public and I was advised by staff to take care of my handbag. The restaurant is grand but the dress code is not observed, many people wandering in the hotel appear not to be guests and there are no cameras in bars and restaurants. One Asian man put his hand down his open fly in front of me in the bar, but there was no camera to identify this incident. I cannot fault the staff who are struggling with the situation, I witnessed staff being verbally abused by a guest, this is not the Austria we used to know, it is now another place altogether, this place has sold its soul. We left as soon as possible and were not allowed any refund for a missed night, despite the obvious insurmountable problems, due to booking via this portal.

We had lunch at the restaurant at the Grand Hotel in Zell am See recently. I ordered the tagliatelle, while my partner chose the beef dish. The pasta was silky smooth and packed with flavour. The beef was equally delicious and cooked perfectly. Both dishes were beautifully presented, which was a refreshing change. At many of the other Austrian restaurants we dined at, the emphasis seemed to be on hearty, homely cooking without any attention to presentation. So, it was nice to enjoy food that was not only delicious but also plated in a visually appealing manner. Our waiter, Marin, was especially friendly and chatty. The only downside was that the overall service felt a little slow. We noticed that some nearby tables, particularly guests who had only stopped in for a snack, struggled to get the staff's attention when they were ready to pay their bill. Overall, the quality of the food, the beautiful lakeside setting, and Marin's excellent hospitality made for a very enjoyable lunch.

This is my second stay at the hotel, it has an amazing view if you choose the balcony rooms with lake view. The location is perfect at the heart of the lively area in Zell Am See. Ibrahim at the reception was very helpful and supportive ensuring everything goes smoothly, despite staying for only 2 nights, we were already very familiar with him. Breakfast as well was great, with a superb view on the lake.

The preoperty and furniture are a bit old (its not dirty, just old). Parking is a bit hard as they have only one guy for the vallet and he parks the cars for everyone so even when asking for the car, it take some time. Room service was the major issue, we requested a new water jug as ours got dirty and the reply was that for any service we need to pay an extra 20€.

Staff needs to be trained, unfortunately much lower performance than expectations for such a facility and value for money... If there are any issues, you may hear “we are short of staff”. This is not the guest issue! - probably they have good staff but this was our luck and experience!

הגענו למקום ומסתבר שמכרו את החדר שלנו לאורח אחר ונאלצנו לשלם שוב על חדר אחר (בוקינג טיפלו בזה כדי שנקבל החזר) כשביקשנו לבטל את השהיה לאחר שעתיים בגלל עגמת הנפש הם לא הסכימו להחזיר לנו שום כסף על הביטול למרות שהם עשו טעות ולא השאירו לנו ברירה אלא לקחת חדר יקר יותר. זה היה מבאס

Location and breakfast

We reserved a room that says theres Air conditioning but when we got there it wasnt working at all for 2 rooms, it was a trap, there is no air conditioning working in this hotel, we got the manager even to see it and didnt solve anything. We slept with fans in the room. They should remove air conditioning from description of the rooms when reserving. Room service was also bad.

Fairy tail hotel, fairy tail lake, very nice employee, especially women very respectfully.

This is my second visit to the grand hotel both of which times I received terrible or no service! The second time we were not even acknowledged by the waiter. We waited 20 minutes, the only upside being the stunning view from the terrace of the lake. After NO service went to the Crazy Daisy opposite where we were welcomed instantly and had a lovely evening

We have just returned from a week at the most elegant hotel in zell am see.The location on the lakeside, with magnificent views of the surrounding mountains is stunning. The exterior terraces and lakeside lounges and offer relaxed areas to view the stunning surroundings.Fine dining inside or lakeside with superb food, service staff of the highest quality (waiters Antonio's and slavisa deserve special mention). A week at the hotel alone would be a special holiday. Rooms and the whole interior are excellent. J&J SPENCER.

Big rooms with beautiful interiour

View and location

It was old furniture and there is no air conditioning and only fan. For this price should bring remotely air conditioning.
