We were welcomed warmly and all our questions answered. When we mentioned wanting to rent bikes, our host offered to rent us some even after we'd checked out. It's a gorgeous and comfy home where we'd happily stay again!

Un superbe accueil et de très bons conseils pour les restaurants, tastings et ballades à vélo et trails Mountain Bike. Un lieux très confortables et très bien placé loin de l'agitation du centre de Wanaka et à 2 pas du lac et du superbe Rippon Estate ( sur réservation). Grand lit avec une très bonne literie. Pas de petit déjeuner mais possibilité d'accéder dans le salon, jardin aux cafés, thés offerts. Possibilité de louer des vélos sur place (non électriques)

The property is immaculate and well located. The owners paid attention to every detail and were very pleased to share their knowledge of the area. The hot tub was perfect for the end of a great day! One of the best stays for us in New Zealand!

We absolutely loved staying here! The owner is lovely and is very happy to hep with anything you need. The whole lodge is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. The garden is beautiful and we loved hearing the birds in the willow tree as we woke up.

De gastheer is enthousiast, aardig en geeft advies Je mag gebruik maken van hottub en van wasmachine. Kamers beneden, aan tuin zijn mooi gelegen. Goede afstand naar centrum.

De ruimtes binnen zijn wat gedateerd, overal ligt vloerbedekking, maar het is wel schoon. T rook een beetje muf. Er is geen ontbijtmogelijkheid.Wèl goed advies waar je wel kon ontbijten.

It is the most beautiful cottage I have ever stayed. The exquisite living room, the wonderful backyard impressed me and I will definitely recommend it to anyone who travels here! And the host is so friendly and nice, he help us to carry two suitcases upstairs which we are really grateful for! And he gave us very helpful advice about food and activities! The rooms are so clean and comfortable, you can even see the stars through the window. And the host offers free tea bags and coffee, which is so generous. Choose here! Don’t need to look other hotels!

Very friendly communication in the lead up to our stay and another friendly welcome upon arrival. Owner very happy to chap and share hints and tips. Bess help us with restaurant choices and walking paths. Location is STUNNING.

We had a fantastic stay at the Wanaka Homestead Lodge & Cottages. Everything was perfect from the very first moment. The incredibly friendly and helpful owner deserves special mention – his hospitality was exceptional. He gave us the best tips for local restaurants and activities (which were all spot on!) and made sure we felt completely comfortable. The entire hotel was immaculately clean and wonderfully quiet, which ensured perfect relaxation after our excursions. A particular highlight for us were the bathrooms: They are very tastefully and modernly designed and contributed significantly to the feel-good factor. We highly recommend this accommodation without reservation and would return anytime! Five stars plus!

The location was great with access to the lake and nice local hikes. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming.

Everything! We had a wonderful stay here. The room was very comfortable, bathroom felt brand new, lounge and coffee/tea station were perfect and the garden was so peaceful. It felt as if we were staying in someone’s lovely country home so could move and lounge about as we pleased. We also used the hot tub a few times! Location was great, right next to ParkRun, the lake for swimming and Roy’s Peak, while town was just a 20-min walk along the shore line. Recommend staying here for a few days as Wanaka and the homestead are very special. The owner Allan was brilliant, super welcoming and helpful but also left us to it.

Amazing stay it was exceptional from start to finish, we were greeted with local insight into wanaka from good hikes, local gems and restaurants. Very warm and homey feel, beautiful room and amenities, including washing machine, bbq and Jacuzzi.

Many thanks to Allan — he was incredibly kind and helpful. I arrived Homestead with ankle sprain from Lake Tekapo. He offered to call a medical centre for me and arranged an appointment to have it checked and rule out any possible fracture. His support gave me real peace of mind and truly improved the rest of my trip in New Zealand.

Alles. Cathy was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het is een hele mooie Lodge. De lodge ligt centraal dicht bij het park, het meer en via een hele mooie route langs het meer ben je binnen 15 minuten in het leuke centrum van Wanaka. De auto kun je parkeren bij de lodge. Er is een wasmachine en droger aanwezig. Als extra verassing een heerlijke hottub. Ontzettend bedankt voor het fijne verblijf.

The manager was absolutely lovely and went out of her way to make sure we had everything to make our stay enjoyable. Property was amazing.

Very stylish place and very comfortable room with good beds and good shower. The owner, Alan, is very cheerful and had many good advices with regard to restaurants and activiteiten. We did not use the hot tub but I guess that might be an extra. Very quiet and 20 min walk to town Centre.

We loved the common room and enjoyed the fireplace. Allen was a fabulous hosts and made us feel at home in this beautiful property. We enjoyed the hot tub and used their plastic cups so enjoyed beverages as we warmed up. Rooms are well decorated and were welcomed by Katie with a warm smile. Great location, short 20 min walk to downtown along the lake. Would definitely return!

We had such a great experience at Wanaka Homestead Lodge and Cottages that we chose to stay again on our return trip north a few days later. Allan is a wonderful and friendly host, offering excellent recommendations for local activities and restaurants — including a delicious meal at The Muttonbird and a rewarding hike up Mt Iron. The rooms are fresh, clean, and modern. The location is beautiful — peaceful and just a short walk to Lake Wanaka. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub in the evenings. The free laundry facilities were much needed as we had been traveling for awhile. The shared common area, complete with a cozy fireplace, was perfect for unwinding or enjoying a meal. Complimentary coffee, tea, chocolate were also provided. An exceptional place to stay — comfortable, well-located, and hosted with genuine warmth. Highly recommended!

So nice to arrive in a new place and be able to stay somewhere that feels like home ( a really beautiful home!). Allan was a wonderful host. He helped us find the beautiful local walks, the most delicious restaurants, and just generally made us feel welcome. The place is spotless. It is beautifully decorated and furnished, and it is warm and very comfortable. The communal areas were so inviting-the wood fire was welcome as it was quite cool and wet during our stay. Tea and coffee bar , great laundry, a hot tub (though we didn't use it). This place is perfect for those who expect a little more from their accomodation. Our plan is to book out the whole lodge and return with our extended family.

Only regret was leaving!

I must keep my promise to leave a glowing review because the experience here far exceeded all our expectations! This lodge felt like a home away from home in Wanaka—warm, comfortable, and beautifully designed. I especially have to rave about the interior design! My husband and I sat in the living room in the evening and couldn’t stop admiring every detail. And as for the host—oh my, he was definitely one of the highlights of our stay! He was incredibly welcoming and had such a great sense of humor. About the location: · It’s ideally situated for visitors wanting to explore the famous Lone Tree of Lake Wanaka—it’s within easy walking distance. · If you need to go shopping in Wanaka town center, driving is very convenient. Walking takes about 20-30 minutes, but it’s a pleasant stroll with lovely views. In summary: This was absolutely a stay that offered great value for money. We’re already looking forward to our next trip to Wanaka and will definitely be staying here again! Highly recommended to everyone visiting Wanaka!

Look no further, stay here. Immaculate room, modern bathroom, very friendly host (Allan) who gave us great recommendations to fit our short stay. A short walk through a beautiful park takes you to the foreshore where the Wanaka tree is located. Will absolutely return

Great location, we walked to dinner etc, beautiful room, had washing machine & dryer in the room which was great as we had just completed the Milford track. Lovely breakfast in the dining room. Highly recommend.

A beautiful cottage with very comfortable rooms. The big willow tree out the front is incredible! Lots of amenities including a laundry. Excellent outdoor seating area and a hot tub. Free wifi and has streaming services on the television available.

We have stayed at various places during our 3 week tour of the South Island, the Homestead Lodge was head and shoulders above everywhere else we stayed. It's a lovely place, the owners have worked hard to make it elegant, well-equiped, extremely well looked-after and friendly. The Homestead Lodge is a very pleasant walk along the lakeside into the town centre, with spectacular views the mountains. The owner couldn't have been more helpful, he even gave us a lift 12k to the start of a beautiful walk back into town. Make a point of talking to him, he will tell you the best places eat, where to get cheap petrol, where to find the best pastries and how to make the most of your stay. If you are interested in doing the Wanaka Park run, it's only about 100m to the start. It's a great place.

A beautiful property, felt like a little sanctuary. Close walk to Wanaka Lake and a lovely walk to downtown Wanaka.

Allan was a super host! From helping us with our suitcases, to giving us invaluable information about hikes, bike rides, restaurants, wineries etc. He couldn't have been more accommodating and made us feel completely at home. We felt like we were staying with friends! Our room was absolutely superb - huge and well appointed with lots of thoughtful touches. The common areas were also fantastic and very much appreciated. The location was great and all round it was just fabulous.

accommodation was easily accessible even though entry into the room involved going up a staircase. room was well appointed. Shared access to a frig, curtlery and crockery was a bonus

The owner Allen is a really nice guy. He welcomed us with passion even though we checked in late. The hotel offer free washing and dryer. BTW, free hot tub!! I would say soaking in the hot tub with the viewing the bright stars could be the best day of my life. Thank you Allen!!!
