The drive to Whitianga from Thames

Location was great, walking distance to Whitianga township. The staff were kind enough to have upgraded us to the next category up which was a lovely treat. Showers were hot and the kids loved the playground.

The bunk bed mattresses were quite thin and the kids both said not very comfortable, however overall not a big deal.

We got an upgrade, really appreciated this after the long drive.

Die freundlichkeit der netten Dame am Empfang. Ebenso die Lage, man ist Zentral gelegen.

Unser Bungalow hat stark gerochen. Wir mussten einen Raumduft kaufen, damit es einigermassen aushaltbar war. Die Dusche war klein und unstabil eingebaut. Ebenso befand sich im Badezimmer schimmel. Die Matraze inklusive Decke und Kissen waren feucht.

Amazingly friendly and helpful staff. Main toilet block showers were very good. Even though the camp ground was full it was quite quiet. Fab location so close to town and our daughters place. We left a day early and were given credit for a future visit...thank you.

Cabin very small, bunk bed not comfortable. Chest of drawers took up precious room with no real purpose. Shower in small block had very poor pressure.

Location size of the unit and grounds were tidy

Pool is cold would be worth warming with solar.

The cabin was clean, and its kitchen had all the stuff you would need in it (pots, pans, bowls, even a potato peeler). There was a good playground for the kids, and the pool was refreshing. The staff were really friendly and the grounds were kept very tidy.

Two of the gas hobs on the stove didn't work, and they only had a metal spatula but non-stick pans.

Loved the room, the bodywash and shampoo (Would love to get bigger bottles of these products, the Pina Colada smells DEVINE!). Love having the option to shower in the cabin or the shower block. It's a short walk into town. Check in and out was incredibly simple and hosts are Phenomenal.

The wifi was slow except in the common areas towards the front of the property. There was very little to fault.

Everything at the campground was excellent. Would certainly stay there again.

The foam mattresses on the bunk beds are past there use-by date compressed down to nothing, possibly ok for children certainly not adults.

The room was well-equipped and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We also loved the common area—it was well-supplied with great amenities, including an air hockey table! A special thanks to Sam at the front desk, who was incredibly kind and helpful.

The stay was unfortunately impacted by unreliable Wi-Fi and consistent noise from the neighbors, including loud music and shouting. I would strongly suggest implementing a 'quiet hours' policy or a courtesy notice to ensure a more respectful environment for all guests

Great location, easy walking to shops and the beach. Camp was tidy, rooms were comfortable and well equipped.

The shower pressure was terrible, for me with long hair, it was impossible to wash it.

Bunk beds in our room were falling apart, mattress very old and uncomfortable plus the brown sheets freeked me out, I always prefer white so I can have confidence its clean. The hot plate in our room wasnt working. The outdoor BBQ was gross we couldnt use it. The booking said heated pools but it wasnt the case, and when we asked they just said sorry the pool is not heated. Our kids were very dissapointed as we chose the place for that reason.

Great location and a nice touch that they had the tides and shovels there for hot water beach.

It got a little warm in the cabin overnight, extra fans would have helped.

I found everything I needed. The bed, blankets, kitchen, everything as I expected.

The only thing that bothered me (though it wasn’t a big problem because they offered a heater) it was the extremely coldness inside the house. But the heater is so good that you can get the rooms warm pretty fast.

We all had the best time here. The holiday park was great tidy, clean, great for kids and friendly people will definitely be staying here again

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The amenities available for us to use in the common area were very clean and nice. The beds and pillows were comfortable enough. Close proximity to town.

The unit we had was old and dated. We were unable to cook 2 things on the twin plate cooker without the electricity tripping out. The double bed was hard up against the wall in a very small room making it difficult for one of us to get up during the night. This meant that I slept in the bottom bunk bed instead. The couch was so badly stained, I refused to sit on it. It needs to have a cover on it.

Absolutely loved our stay, very pleasant and easy going staff. No hassles & worth every dollar spent. We already plan to head back for another holiday 😊

Main bed was uncomfortable, old mattress. Toilet not bolted securely to floor. Grass and clippings in cart composting outside bathroom window.

We stayed for the fishing comp and I never booked a boat park but it wasn’t a problem, the lady on the desk sussed us out a park close to the cabin and put us right next to the boat washing station and the filleting bench which was super handy . The park is nice and close to town , only a 5-10 minute walk to the wharf and waterfront which we liked. Cabin had everything we needed to cook and store our food. We did get an upgrade to a cabin with a bathroom which I would recommend.

Nothing to dislike

😀Swimming pool, parking. Camp kitchen. 😒Uncomfortable bed, dirty stained sofa, shabby interior with wood rot, and not very clean.

Room was big enough for me and my daughter to stay and enjoy our visit to the area. We were able to borrow spades from the camp when we went to dig in the sand at hot water beach. They also advertised the low tide times for that which was important and helpful

The Wifi was terrible, could only connect a few times during the whole stay, and when using my phone it switched to using my data without me realising and so sucked up all my data allowance for the month. Maybe that was my fault, but if a property has bad wifi they should alert the customers to that. Grass parking, so when it rained heavy there was water around the car.

It was located within walking distance of the harbour and town. But the town is pretty small anyway!

Horrible, dirty, shabby and really poor value. Everything looked really dirty. Chipped cups. Filthy stained carpet and bed. Sofa was grim and too big for the room. The mirror was in a really stupid place too! I had to kneel on the sofa. All of the furniture, carpets and curtains need to go to the dump and the place refurbished. No towels provided and outside bathroom so for the price I paid I was really disappointed. If I’d had enough money I’d have stayed elsewhere.

Friendly staff, more than happy to help when we had a problem with the WiFi connection. Cabin and facilities were clean and tidy, pool was a bonus and kids play area/trampoline. Easy walk to town.

Bit of mould/wood rot around window in bathroom that could do with updating. Clothes horse would be handy for towels/togs to dry on in cabins.

Loved this holiday park! We stayed in the 2 bedroom Cabin and it was perfect! Had everything we needed. Owners/staff were very friendly and helpful. It is conveniently located and is a short walk into town and to the wharf.

It’s a holiday camp, you can’t expect much, but the couch’s fabric felt dirty, the carpet also and dishes could have a cleaner impression too.

Not much for the kids, but they are 10 yo. I suppose it’s better for younger kids.

Very clean facilities, close to town aswell.

Worn carpets, horrible Internet connections - despite paying extra on it -, almost broken TV, did diminished our stay despite great surroundings.

Had a lovely weekend away. The hosts were very accommodating. Would recommend!
