Boutique Hotel Helios

If you’re going to spend money somewhere in Sorrento, spend it here. This place is so, so cute and genuinely such good value for the price. It’s perfectly positioned overlooking the valley, with a beautiful terrace, a cute shared pool, and a side view of the mountains. It’s not the full panoramic Sorrento view but that’s where the extra $$$ comes in. Some rooms have hot tubs and bigger balconies, but we went with the basic room and honestly, it was amazing. There’s also a nearby beach you can access through the neighboring hotel for €35 per person. You’re also 15 minutes away from a free public beach that has a natural pool which is such a plus if you want to experience swimming in the deep blue water. Folks do swim at the marina too, so you could go there. Also, EAT AT PORTA MARINA! It is a must. Most importantly, the staff are incredibly hospitable and kind. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the main tourist areas and around 20 minutes all the way down to the marina—and that walk is genuinely one of the most beautiful you’ll take in Sorrento. It was such a unique experience in a country that can somehow feel fast, busy, and overwhelming. Helios and Sorrento slowed it all down for us. It felt like a little pause in the middle of the trip—quiet mornings, beautiful views, slow walks down to the marina, and nowhere we needed to rush to. Perfect value for the price. Would absolutely stay here again.

Funcionários muito simpáticos e prestáveis, deram upgrade no quarto que tínhamos reservados e o quarto era incrível, uma cama enorme muito limpinho e uma vista incrível. Se tiverem de carro ou vespa ficam a 3 minutos do centro da cidade.

Nunca fui tão enganado no tamanho de uma piscina, pelas fotos parece uma piscina incrivel e grandecom vista para o mar mas era um tanque minusculo no último andar no hotel. No entanto aproveitámos muito bem todo o espaço e gostámos.

Staff at the property were really excellent and the room was very clean and sparkling. The room had an excellent view of the sea with a large balcony.

Everything was wonderful and there was nothing that we didn’t like.

No Sidewalks directly adjacent to the property but that’s not the hotels fault. Walking to a few places along busy road requires attention.

Only thing to say is that the walk to town was a few minutes more, but we do get to enjoy a glorious view across the bay while we walked

We had a lovely stay at this hotel in Sorrento. The staff were kind and helpful, the room was exceptionally clean and comfortable and it was cleaned to an impeccable standard daily. The rooftop terrace and pool were lovely too, it's a great place to relax on a hot day and we enjoyed some reasonably priced and yummy cocktails. Sorrento is lovely too, it's a foodie's paradise and convenient to get to Naples, Capri or the Amalfi coast. The breakfast was great too with lots of options.

Not a criticism but you should include Porta Marina on your list of recommended restaurants. That's the best seafood in town. So good we went back twice!

The location is only a 10/15 min walk from the main town and the journey is a steady incline. The pool is great and the terrace is spacious. The breakfast was lovely and the staff are excellent and so kind and helpful. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the luxury room which included a huge private terrace and hot tub which was an absolute dream! Highly recommend!

They upgraded our room for free and the view/balcony was amazing! The shower was very nice & had really good water pressure. The staff were very friendly & very responsive, including on what's aop. We used them to book everything for us, including tours, and it worked great. They also called us right after we left because we forgot a blanket in our room.

The bed was OK. This is more a me thing though, as I like softer beds, and it seems like all of Iraly has more firm mattresses.

La vista muy buena, la amabilidad del.personal, siempre atentos si necesitábamos algo. La piscina tiene una historia increíble y generalmente esta desocupada. Los restaurantes que están cerca La Tonarella lo recomiendo 100% y otro que no está mas arriba qué no recuerdo el nombre. El centro esta cerca, a 20 minutos caminando.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mis padres pasaron unos días maravillosos en el Hotel Helios. Quedaron encantados con la atención del personal, la limpieza, las instalaciones y las vistas del hotel. Todo el equipo fue muy amable y atento durante toda la estadía, haciendo que se sintieran realmente bienvenidos. Una experiencia excelente en Sorrento que recomendarían sin dudarlo.

My wife and I have just spent seven nights at this great hotel. Fantastic place, wonderful service from ALL the staff, no request to small. Very clean room and hotel itself. Super breakfast with stunning view. Our rooms balcony also had a nice sea view. We cannot recommend this hotel too highly, most enjoyable and recommend to all. Their restaurant recommendations were 10 out of 10, everyone top notch choices. We also did the Amalfi Coast Sharing (eight persons) Tour based on the hotels recommendation - well recommended by us, especially the guide Sorrento born Nello. We would return to this hotel in the blink of eye.

Lo mejor del hotel son los empleados. Un personal muy profesional pero a la vez muy amables, entre ellos Anna, Giulia, Luigi, Pietro, Nina y Mario. No me sentí en un hotel, era como estar en casa. Guardo muy buenos recuerdos del lugar. La pizza que nos hicieron fue de las mejores que he comido en Italia.

This hotel was beautiful. The staff couldn’t do enough to help especially Tina at Breakfast. If you need anything at all ask reception they’re very accommodating. Breakfast was delicious all homemade on site. They serve all the usual breakfast choices with a twist. Flans, pastries, cakes, croissants, scrambled eggs, fruit, yogurt, cereal, bread, vegetables, cheeses and many drink choices including a variety of tea, coffee and Prosecco. It was a 15 walk into town the first 20 metres on road but the rest was pathway and beautiful view’s. There is nowhere in Sorrento to get into the water unless you have a hotel with a beach frontage. One small beach but not great. Sorrento is beautiful and we loved the atmosphere, food and people.

Our stay was lovely. We were offered a room upgrade on arrival to a room with a terrace view which was stunning. The room was really big and had everything you could need. There was a lot of choice available at breakfast with fresh coffee made to order. The location is really handy, it is walking distance to village, takes about 15 minutes and is about ten minutes in a taxi from the train station. The old fisherman’s village is definitely worth a visit, we had our best meal there. The terrace area on the roof is really lovely, the views are beautiful and there’s plenty of seating options so you can relax and watch the sunset.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt im Boutique Hotel Helios in Sorrento! Bereits beim Empfang wurden wir herzlich mit einem Glas Prosecco begrüßt – ein perfekter Start in den Urlaub. Das gesamte Personal war außergewöhnlich freundlich, aufmerksam und immer hilfsbereit. Das Hotel ist klein, aber sehr fein und mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Unser Zimmer war groß, modern und hatte einen traumhaften Blick aufs Meer. Besonders begeistert hat uns der sehr große Balkon mit eigenem Whirlpool – einfach perfekt zum Entspannen bei Sonnenuntergang. Auch das Frühstück war sehr gut: alles Notwendige war vorhanden, frisch und lecker. Die Lage ist etwas abseits vom direkten Zentrum, dafür angenehm ruhig. Die Stadt Sorrento erreicht man jedoch bequem zu Fuß in etwa 15 Minuten. Ein kleiner Verbesserungsvorschlag wäre lediglich das Badezimmer: Insgesamt ein fantastisches preiswertes Hotel in Sorrento, das wir jederzeit wieder buchen würden – absolute Empfehlung!

Die Papierbecher könnten durch richtige Gläser ersetzt werden, das würde den ansonsten sehr hochwertigen Eindruck noch perfektionieren.

Everything is exceptional. The staff is one of the most warmest and supportive I’ve seen thus far. The view from the room is gorgeous and it’s just 15-20 minutes scenic walk to the town centre , so can’t complain about anything.

The hotel was absolutely perfect for us - honestly I can’t think of a single bad thing to say! It was spotless and cleaned every day we were there, the shower was great better then mine at home.. The staff were all so lovely, especially the lady on reception with the gorgeous curly hair.. She was super helpful with tips on what to do around Sorrento and even shared a bit about life in Italy was really interesting to hear (wish I’d caught her name!). Her brother works there too - both hard workers. The view from the hotel… was just amazing 10/10 from us..

We just got back from staying 6 nights at the Boutique Hotel Helios in Sorrento, Italy. Our room and the rest of the hotel was extremely clean. The fixtures in our bathroom looked to be new or updated and was extremely clean. Our room had a balcony with a small table and two chairs with a beautiful view of the bay and Mount Vesuvius. Just beautiful! All staff that we encountered were extremely pleasant, personable and extremely helpful from the front desk personnel to the young male bar tender to the wonderful woman who would greet you at breakfast and bring you your coffee. Breakfast displayed fruit, pastries, cheeses, meat, eggs and was always beautifully set up and tasted great. Breakfast was served in an outdoor patio overlooking the same beautiful view of the bay and was such a nice way to start the morning. Overall, we cannot say enough about our stay at the Boutique Hotel Helios!

I loved this place, was perfect! Staff amazing and for me I wanted a place I could walk to places easy and was at the same time quiet at night. Highly rate it and the Breakfast matched the beautiful view!

Gefallen hat uns die Lage vom Hotel, mit der Aussicht auf den Golf von Neapel, einfach traumhaft. Zum Zentrum von Sorrento waren es etwas über 1 km Fußweg, aber alles gut. Gute Betten und Klimanlage. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und die Bedienung ausgezeichnet. Beim Hotel "Tonella" nebenan, gibt es einen Privatstrand, der über einen Lift erreichbar ist. Der Strand ist sehr steinig, daher sind Badeschuhe unablässig

Eigentlich waren wir im Großen und Ganzen sehr zu zufrieden. Jetzt kommt aber ein sehr großes Aber: Wir waren mit dem Auto angereist und das Parken pro Nacht kostet 25 Euro, das ist auch nicht das Problem. Das Problem ist, das man den Schlüssel bei der Rezeption abgeben muss, da dann bei Bedarf das Auto vom Hotel wegen Platzmangel umgeparkt wird. Nun aber zum Negativen: Wir sind am Morgen, des 19.08.2025 abgereist und sind dann nach Ravenna an die Adria, ca. 600 km, gefahren. Als wir in Ravenna angekommen sind, fiel mir auf, dass an der vorderen Stoßstand 3 große Kratzer, die vorher nicht da waren, vorhanden sind. Und zwar solche Kratzer, dass der weiße Lack komplett weg und der schwarze Kunststoff der Stoßstange zum Vorschein kommt. Am Heck sind auch 2 große Kratzer an deiner Stoßstange mit Klavierlack. Ich bin wirklich nich kleinlich, aber es handelt sich um einen Mercedes EQS, weiß, mit einem BLP von 185.000 Euro. Es kann ja alles passieren und dafür gibt es auch Versicherungen, aber wenn Jemanden so etwas passiert, dann sollte man auch den "Arsch in der Hose" haben und den Besitzer informieren. Ich bin auch Niemand, der morgens, mittags und abends ums Auto läuft und Bilder bzw. Videos macht. Darüber habe ich mich sehr sehr geärgert und ärgere ich mich immer noch.

This is a great hotel with view of Sorrento. About a 10 minute walk down to town. We took taxi to get there with luggage from ferry and then taxi back to ferry day we left. They helped us arrange a vespa for 70 euro a day that we rode to the Amalfi Coast we preferred Positano and Ravello over Amalfi too crowded. Staff was wonderful and there daily breakfast was great as well!

So beautifully presented- the decor was lovely and the bedroom- with an amazing view of Vesuvius- was just perfect!

If you want value for money with a fabulous breakfast and amazing views then this is the hotel for you. The positives far outweigh the fact that the pool is smallish and that it is a mile walk into the centre of Sorrento/the main port. We enjoyed the walk and getting away from the crowds. Thanks for hosting us!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Staff was friendly and helpful! View from our hotel room was breathtaking and the property is walkable to the city center. Room was very clean and the breakfast buffet was good! Would definitely stay here again.

Staff very friendly, Small boutique hotel with everything you need. A little bit further from the city center than other hotels and there was a small stretch of walking as soon as you step out of the hotel that does not have a sidewalk so can be dangerous with cars driving around the corner.

Cozy hotel located not far from the town. We were warmly welcomed by a lovely woman at the reception. The room was clean, bright and comfortable with a spacious shower and small balcony offering a stunning view of the sea. The building has a terrace with a pool, perfect for relaxing and small bar in the lobby, where you could grab a drink. We were a bit late for breakfast, but they still offered us coffee and buffet. The young man who served us was very kind and we were able to enjoy our meal without feeling rushed or uncomfortable for being late. The old town is about 15 min walk downhill, but we'd recommed taking a taxi on the way back up :)

Beautiful view and staff is amazing

This is a small hotel operated with a very personable staff. English is spoken. The hotel is located on a bluff above the exclusive pedestrian-only downtown area. All the rooms have balconies with grand views of the Gulf of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. A great breakfast is served from 7:00 AM to 10 AM with many savory and sweet choices. Very professional staff are ready to help with anything. A rooftop infinity swimming pool has an adjoining sunning deck. We found it a very desirable hotel for our time in Sorrento and would stay there again.

What a beautiful boutique hotel. The staff is amazing. So helpful and accommodating. The rooms are clean and comfortable with amazing views of the coastline. The breakfasts are AMAZING!! We loved that it was a small hotel with attentive staff. Decided to stay an extra night. It is a bit of a walk to the town center but nice to be away from the hustle and bustle.

Hotel Helios was above our expectations. The location, the view, service, staff, room, cleanliness were all fantastic. We loved it so much that we extended our stay for one more night just to enjoy the hotel and city of Sorento as much as possible. We will definitely go back there again in the future.

A very nice little hotel located at the top of the hill in sorrento. We were in room 2 same level and right next to reception. Unfortunately although the rooms as sound proof but we could still hear people talking outside. However hotel staff are lovely and friendly and more than willing to help you. The hotel is located next to a road so be prepared to hear some traffic if you're resting on the sun loungers above the hotel. 25 minute walk into town, a little dangerous as you leave the hotel but after a 2 min walk you can get into a pavement. The room was smaller than expected but we had one of the 2 rooms without a balcony but the beds are comfy and the cleaning staff are fantastic.

We stayed here on day to Friday and honestly can’t fault the place. Rooms are spacious enough cleaned every day and have enough storage Complimentary shampoo and shower gel Reception were friendly and advised us of ferry times and train times gave us advice for dinner too and even prepared a little breakfast for when we left early Friday morning Breakfast was included and had something for everyone service was friendly and the view was stunning. The pool area was lovely small but not many guests so lots of room and just what you need after a hot day of exploring. Towels were included and available at the bar. It’s a little walk out if the centre and slightly uphill but manageable for most people Can totally recommend this little hotel!

Amazing stay! Just got home from Helios boutique hotel and what an excellent hotel! Staff all so welcoming and helpful , so friendly , from the reception staff to breakfast staff so pleasant! Rooms very clean and bright , pool area lovely to have a dip and relax after a trip! Breakfast was delicious, lots of fruit pastries we loved! Location was about 15/20 mins down a bank to main sore to but we didn’t mind to Get our steps in and walk off the pizza and pasta and lemon spritz! Would recommend ! , a tip would be add hair conditioner to the room! Thank you!

Hotel Helios was such a wonderful experience. The check-in process was amazing, the lovely ladies at reception were so accommodating, helpful and kind. They explained the best places to go, helped us book a dinner reservation, as well as a tour of the amalfi coast, and explained where everything was in the hotel. The room we had was downstairs (bare that in mind if carrying heavy luggage) and was only accessible by stairs. We didn't mind, as it gave us privacy and had a great sea view. The breakfast was really, really good with lots of options and a beautiful view of the sea. The pool was also refreshing and had a lovely view of the sea. Would definitely recommend staying here. The hotel is a small jewel on the Italian coast where you can sleep at night free of the city hustle and bustle. Breakfast options are plenty and the view from the small breakfast area is superb. Getting from the hotel to the city is a little scary at the beginning portion, but becomes natural after you realize the entire Amalfi coast is this way. Thanks to the front desk team fathering to all our inquiries. And to the breakfast people who made our stay at the hotel pleasant.

Really enjoyed the simplicity of this hotel. Attentive and generous staff who are always available and willing to help us with all of our questions and needs made us feel like we wanted for nothing more. Knowledgeable staff on the front desk solved our daily quiz questions with ease! Big shout out to Antonella who met us every morning for breakfast and tended to our every need. Located a little outside of the buzzing town it’s best to take a cab to/from the hotel when towing luggage as the path is narrow and steep to/from the hotel. Every amenity on offer was a very high standard. Shower was Amazing! Would only ask that you pack an iron, or be prepared to pay for the itemised linen service. Room 5 has a great view across the bay of Naples and a vista of Vesuvius-but so do almost all of the rooms available. Highly recommended for your stay in Sorrento
