Hostel muy bien situado y bien cuidado. El personal es amable y tanto la cocina como los baños están limpios. Intentan que la estancia sea lo más agradable posible.

The room and bathroom were clean and spacious enough. Furthermore, the location was amazing. The street was alive and well, but not in an annoying way. Places where very easy to reach from the hostel! I also loved the creativity with the names of the different rooms, and the beds.

The location is perfect and the staff were very friendly and helpful! I would have loved to stay longer.

The kitchen I could spend time early in the morning to make myself a cup of herb tea. Hot water is provided and the herb tea as well. I haven`t experienced a kitchen like that so far in any hostel where you can cook, sit down at a table and have a chat with other people. It is like staying with friends. I spent many nights over the years in this hostel and was never disappointed. So far I always slept well and felt at home.

Lo staff è stato meraviglioso e la location era perfetta! Non ero mai stata in un dormitorio misto ma mi sono sentita sicura dall'inizio alla fine. Tornerò sicuramente!

La posizione

The location was great -- and had 24/7 luggage hold at a sister hostel across the way which made waiting to check-in easier. The staff I interacted with were super helpful and responsive to questions/concerns. The facilities felt like home and I would absolutely book with them again.

Great location, and could drop bags at sister hostel which was great. All the staff were lovely!

L'ostello è proprio al centro di Edimburgo, quindi super comodo per godersi la città. E' spazioso, pulito e prevede anche camerate per sole donne. C'è una zona per cucinare e stare insieme e lo staff è molto gentile e disponibile. E' stata la mia prima esperienza in ostello e mi sono trovata benissimo! Lo consiglio.

Les chambres sont agréables, avec de l'espace. L'auberge est superbe ! L'auberge est très très bien placée.

Les casiers pourraient être un petit plus grand pour les gros sac à dos, mais sinon les sacs passent sous les lits.

Fantastic location, super easy to walk anywhere. Well kitted out with ample lounge and kitchen space.

Czysta łazienka, brak bezdomnych czy jakiś dziwnych ludzi. Brak klimatyzacji, a otwarte okna wychodzą bezpośrednio na główną ulicę / deptak (choć nie jest bardzo głośno). Dobre łóżka, nie skrzypią, czyste. Godny polecania na parę nocy. Można zostawić walizki, czyste łazienki, organizują wyjazdy po okolicy.

I loved the check in ease and the facilities were so eco friendly. Recycling and consideration top scores! There was a great selection of communal space, games, books and travel/attraction information. The beds are not too bad for bunk beds and I enjoyed the quirkiness of the rooms and lockers. The chalk in the bathrooms was wonderful too!

That there is no early checkin or late checkout options. Would happily pay extra for it.

Everything was amazing! This place is definitely a vibe for people who like to travel, explore and meet new people!

It's pretty hard to walk up the stairs with your suitcase and there's no elevator.

Despite that it is literally on the busiest street of Edinburgh -the Royal Mile- the noise level was ok in the hostel. Free lockers, all was nice, i liked the bathrooms. I was in a female dorm, friendly atmosphere. I was there only for 1 night. Two pillows was nice.

The bed next to the room doors is at a disadvantage - someone coming in and out of doors is always very close to them. The blanket or matrace seemed to have a mild smell, but the bedding was clean.

L'emplacement est idéal, et les espaces sont propres. Il est possible de laisser son sac avant le check in et après le check out à l'hostel voisin donc très pratique.

C'est assez cher, mais comme tous les hébergements en Ecosse !

Very communal but cozy

The hostel was very well located, the rooms were well organized and clean.

E' stata la mia prima esperienza in dormitorio ed è stata decisamente positiva. Carino, pulito e staff molto gentile oltre ad essere in una posizione ottima.

The hotel's location was central to all the tourist attractions. The bed was clean and had 2 pillows and a duvet. The room was good enough for 10 people- no disturbance. Separate keys for everyone - had milk and coffee powder in the kitchen

Did not see the activities mentioned in the email taking place. It would have been amazing to meet new people

Hinta suhde erittäin kohdillaan. Ei pitänyt maksaa extraa pyyhkeistä ja lakanoista. Keittiöstä löytyi kaikki tarvitava ruuanlaittoon. Parasta oli kuitenkin kotoinen tunnelma ja ystävälinen ja mielellään neuvova henkilökunta ☺️

Hjälpsam personal och hemma känsla i de allmänna utrymmena. Bra ordnat för förvaring av ens saker på rummet (skåp) och i köket. Trevliga medgäster och inget stök. Allt det viktigaste fungerade bra. Det var skönt att personalen bäddat åt oss när vi kom och att sänglinnet ingick liksom badhandduk. Toppen.

Det var delad sovsal vilket fungerade fint men jag saknade något bra utrymme att byta om på för det var trångt att stå på toa och byta om. Ventilationen kändes något bristfällig när det var varma dagar och 8 personer sov i ett rum. Det saknades lite krokar att hänga upp sin dusch handduk på när man var den som bodde i nedre slaf. I övrigt trivdes jag bra.

Nice common rooms with both spaces to meet others as well as a cozy corner for work or reading. Rooms were spacious with a personal touch.

The room doesn't have AC which in the summer means that the window has to stay open to be able to breathe during the night. As one of the main touristy streets is right outside that means that earplugs are a must to be able to sleep through all the noise.

j'ai apprécié la chambre assez grande pour 8 avec casier personnel, prises électriques et USB à chaque lit; bons matelas et oreiller. L'Auberge est très bien placée, en plein centre touristique. Pourtant relativement calme (à l'exception de quelques buveurs tardifs dans la rue).

pas assez de place à la cuisine-salle à manger pour tous Chambre mal aérée : nécessité de garder la fenêtre ouverte, difficile avec le froid!

Not a dislike but heads up. There is a large set of stairs going up to the reception desk. If you’re like me and have a large heavy suitcase be prepared to carry up.

Showers have a giant step of like 13 or 14 inches, which is problematic if you have hip issues or literally forget and leave the shower since they dont put any warning on the inside door or warning tape on the floor! You can really hurt yourself. I had to shower in the sister hotel. Dont recall any breakfast. Small space for meeting ppl in front and not interesting events when I was there. I think the sister hotel wouldve been a better stay. You can do laundry with them too for cheaper than anywhere else!

Lo mejor es la excelente ubicación y la buena vibra que hay en el hostel, son todos muy amables y predispuestos a ayudarte también con info turística. La cocina tiene todo lo necesario y es un lugar muy acogedor bonito y colorido. Me encantaría volver a Edimburgo y hospedarme en Royal Mile Backpackers.

Pobyt oceniam pozytywnie. Czułam się zaopiekowania przez personel. Atutem miejsca jest lokalizacja oraz mały koszt jaki płaci się za miejsce. Jest czysto. Pierwszy raz spałam w pokoju dziesięcioosobowym, inni zwracali uwagę, aby zachowywać się cicho.

Hałas z ulicy słychać było do rana. Jest to największa wada miejsca. Nam bardzo zależało na niedrogim noclegu, więc wybraliśmy ten hostel.

we had a great time in Edimburgh, and staying at Royal Miles Backpackers was one of the reasons. You are located at the very heart of the old city, a few minute walk from the train station and litteraly everything. The staff is super nice, the hostel quite small which makes it feel like home. Few roommates, and respectful, everything clean and safe, and quiet after 10pm. You also get a "green card" which gives discounts in quite a lot of pubs, cafes and bars. Didn't have the time to try them all! We will have to stay again :)

Yes you can hear people enjoying Edimburgh at night but well, you are staying ON the royal mile so you should expect that; and earplugs are available if needed.

The room is very tiny, so difficult on space. You have to go up one flight of stairs, so might be difficult with a suitcase. Noise can be coming from the street at night.

Location, affordable, cleanliness, beds are very comfortable, fully equipped kitchen if you want to cook, free tea and coffee

At 22.00 each night the pub next door has live music for approx 2 hours, and the earplugs don’t really help blocking the sound out. In addition if people in the room insist on sleeping with open windows you get the street sounds as well and as it’s based in the central area of Edinburgh it can get loud which also doesn’t help with sleeping. And finally the door to the dorm creaked so each time somebody came in or went out it was quite loud.

A little expensive

Location was perfect for first-time visitors: in the middle of old town. It was easy to walk everywhere. A bit noisy in the evening, but that is what you get in the old city centre. Other travellers were quiet and respectful. I was afraid that it would be difficult to sleep in a dorm again. Also because the beds are 'open' (there is no curtain around it). But in the end, I slept great, so no complaints!

Excellent location! Excellent staff! Felt like home! I had nice conversations with other guests.

Amazing friendly staff who were super accommodating. I felt very welcomed. The kitchen lounge area has some amazing views of the old buildings and great for people watching! Can store food easily, rooms were not crammed with too many beds. Bathrooms didn’t get too busy either as the space was well thought about. Very happy with my experience

Only thing I can comment on (though this isn’t a huge problem) is maybe in the future curtains for the bunks could be considered, for extra privacy

The location is great; it's right on the Royal Mile, with easy access to attractions such as Victoria Street, Edinburgh Castle and Waverley Station. You can get tools you need in the kitchen to easily prepare your food if you are on a budget.

It's quite noisy at night but you can get free earplugs at the reception. The shower is a little bit weak, and they don't provide any body wash or shampoo.

A lot of eatery. About 10min walk from Waverley train station. About 10min walk to Edinburgh castle

에든버러에서 가성비가 가장 좋은 호스텔이라고 생각합니다. 26년 5월 기준 1박에 5만원이었어요. 그만큼 예약을 하기도 어려웠습니다. 총 2박을 했는데 시설은 딱 저렴한 호스텔 수준이었어요. 그래도 침대와 주방이 꽤나 청결해서 이용하는데 전혀 불편함은 없었어요. 샤워 시설이 적긴 했지만 숙박 기간동안 기다린 적은 없었습니다. 스태프들도 친절했고 호스텔 차원에서 하는 이벤트도 종종 있는거 같았어요. 위치가 로얄마일 1분거리라 관광하기에는 최적입니다.

다른 호스텔들과 비교했을 때 시설이 약간 노후한 느낌이 있어요. 샤워 시설도 약간 갑갑합니다. 처음에 위치를 찾는게 어려웠는데 태국음식점과 같은 건물 2층에 위치해 있어요

Smooth check-in. Mariana helped me and she speaks Spanish so it was easier. She gave me a towel when I asked her for it.

Some of the sockets were not working properly. The radiators were also not working.

I really enjoyed my stay. The location is excellent, with everything within walking distance and easy to access. The reception staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. I also met a lot of nice people at the hostel, which made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a well-located place with a great atmosphere.

Unfortunately, there were a few issues during my stay. There was a strong body odor coming from my locker and even from my bed, which was very unpleasant. The smell was so bad that I had to spray perfume to make it bearable. I was also disappointed by the bathroom facilities for women. There were only two toilets and two showers available for female guests, despite the hostel clearly accommodating many women. During busy hours, this led to long waits and unnecessary inconvenience. These issues had a significant negative impact on my overall experience.
