La ubicación es muy buena, el barrio Jalatlaco es muy bonito, cerca del centro, de la terminal de autobuses....Las empanadas de la señora de enfrente muy ricas!!

Located in a cool neighborhood.

Reception was closed in the afternoon. There was a dead roach by another door. The left faucet on the sink didn’t work. There was a razor blade case on the ledge in the bathroom, so that means it wasn’t properly cleaned after whichever guest left it. The towels were old, the bed frame was from the 80s

Place it's everything is advertised, clean, really nice and stuff very friendly. I wish the coffee for their coffee lovers. There are 2 coffee shops right outside of hotel. 5 stars!

La ubicación es inmejorable en el barrio más colorido de Oaxaca, Miguel nos recibió y fue super atento en todo momento, incluso nos apoyó con recomendaciones locales, el hotel se siente muy acogedor y muy oaxaqueño, sin duda regresamos!!

La situación en el barrio era muy buena. Andando al centro 1km. La terraza era muy agradable. Camas muy cómodas.

Podría mejor bastante el estado de las habitaciones, necesita una reforma. El baño sobretodo, se ve muy antiguo y desgastado. En general se ve un poco descuidado.

Es un hotel con instalaciones antiguas y bastante deterioradas. La habitación y en especial el baño no estaba limpio. Muy poca orientación al cliente, adelantaron la hora del check out por una fumigación y no dieron ningún aviso previo, además no permitieron dejar mi equipaje hasta la hora de salida de mi vuelo que es lo que habitualmente hacen en todos los hoteles. No me ofrecieron ninguna opción, sencillamente que tenía que marchar con mi maleta

La ubicación. El cabecero de la cama.

Nos alojaron en una habitación en la planta baja que: - el desagüe estaba lleno de moho. Estaba tapado con una tapa blanca, que luego entendimos que sería para que no saliesen bichos, pero la tapa hay que quitarla para ducharse (ver foto). - la pared tiene sumideros pegados. No entendemos muy bien porqué pero suponemos que será por la humedad. El caso es que se ve raro y feo (Ver foto) - la ventana daba a un patio interior donde solo habia aires acondicionados. (Ver foto). No entraba nada de luz y tampoco puedes abrir la cortina porque te ven todos los de las otras habitaciones. - la ventana del baño, traslucida, da a la entrada del hotel, con lo cual se ve todo si estás en el baño. - por la noche nos picaron mosquitos todas las noches. En un sitio con Zika y Dengue esto no es agradable. No puedes impedir que entrasen los mosquitos porque las ventanas no cerraban por completo y la puerta tiene encima unas lamas abiertas. - consecuencia de estas lamas abiertas, se oye TODO. Con lo cual hay muchisimo ruido en la habitación. - los chicos de recepción no son simpaticos. Tampoco hicieron nada malo, pero se les veia aburridos y desmotivados. Por ejemplo les dijimos que si nos daban alguna recomendacion/consejo de la ciudad, y dijeron que hacia calor y que nos echasemos crema. - las toallas estaban muy usadas, al igual que la funda de las almohadas, con un color amarillento. (Ver foto adjunta) - la cama, aunque grande, era muy muy dura, y las almohadas muy gruesas (como redondas) con lo cual te dolía todo el cuerpo y el cuello al despertar. - No tenían ni gel ni champu... Que es algo que no veia desde hace tiempo en un hotel. Tuvimos que comprar. - El wifi era lento. Para WhatsApp y poco mas. Nos cobraron 67 euros la noche. Con lo cual el precio es muy elevado para la habitación ofrecida. En resumen: muy descontentos y no lo recomendamos.

La nostra stanza era al piano terra di un patio buio, senza alcuna luce naturale. Affacciava su un buco interno dove si trovano i motori dei condizionatori, che non ci facevano dormire la notte. Il bagno è molto vecchio, come gli asciugamani. I rumori incessanti degli altri ospiti, delle campane, della strada, non ci hanno fatto dormire. Il letto non è comodo. Non c’è neppure un frigo in cui mettere l’acqua. Quando ci siamo lamentate per il rumore e abbiamo chiesto una stanza almeno al primo piano, non ci è stata offerta alcuna scusa o tentativo di soluzione.

As far as I know there was no breakfast. But I did like the location because it is close to small stores and restaurants. The staff is great! Polite and helpful. I met the owner, Mrs. Marina, and enjoyed a conversation with her. The hotel is clean, the split unit kept my room cool, and I wasn't bothered by anyone.

I didn't like the shower ..too cramped and the shower head only sends the water straight down. Other than that ..all good for the price.

Hotel Cazomalli was lovely! Besides the fact that it was adorably charming with an old world Mexico feel, the staff was incredibly helpful and kind. If you like church bells, you hear the beautiful sounds of the cathedral bells. Also I like the classic town feeling where literally everything you need was in all the neighboring shops- food, shopping and of course Mezcalerias. You're also within walking distance to Templo Santo Domingo and a very nice Michelin Star restaurant! There was of a woman with her food cart shouting "Atole, churros calientitos, atole!" each morning as she moves up the block to sell her goods each morning, which is just part of the daily life of the town. It is only 5-7 minute walk from the ADO bus depot - which was SO convenient for us as we came traveling from Veracruz. The surrounding town was beautifully decorated because of the Guelaguetza festival (which happens in July). I LOVED that we could walk to so many restaurants, the Santo Domingo cathedral, the cultural museum, the Zocolo, and SO MANY shops, within minutes!! The staff helped to arrange trustworthy taxi service (for example when we traveled to Monte Alban 30 minutes away). There was only one reason why I didn't give it a perfect 10: The bathroom needs some basic updates. The bathroom amenities felt very outdated: old shower, and basic things that would have helped like a counter or shelf to hold toiletries and hooks to hold towels and clothes. The bed was very firm but I was still able to sleep. Nevertheless, it was a super fun trip and it truly had everything to do with the location and wonderful guest service of this hotel. I would most definitely book this hotel again!!

Bathroom was outdated with no hooks for towel and clothes, and no counter space for toiletries. Towels felt stiff (maybe they were hung dry) and the water controls were tricky to balance the warm water.

Die Lage des Hotels ist super. Das Hotel befindet sich in einem super schönen und sicheren Viertel mit vielen Cafés und Restaurants. Man ist auch innerhalb von 10min zu Fuß im Zentrum. Mit einem Auto kann man auch direkt in der Gasse davor problemlos parken. Das Gebäude an sich ist schön, hat einen sehr netten Innenhof und eine nette Dachterrasse mit einem schönen Ausblick. Als wir ein Problem mit dem Wasser in unseren Zimmer hatten, hat ein Herr uns schnell helfen können. Er konnte auch gut Englisch. Die Klimaanlage funktionierte gut.

Der Rest des Personals ist komplett desinteressiert und kann überwiegend kein Englisch. Der Zimmersafe funktionierte nicht. Das Badezimmer war total veraltet und dreckig, so dass an der Duschwand noch ganze Haarbüschel von den vorherigen Gästen klebten. Handtücher werden erst nach drei Nächten gewechselt. Dabei hatte jeder von uns ein Duschhandtuch, wir hatten nur ein kleines zusätzliches Handtuch gemeinsam und ein Fußbodenhandtuch mit Flecken und Löchern. Unser Zimmer war im Erdgeschoss direkt neben dem Stiegenhaus. Es war komplett dunkel, obwohl es ein großes Fenster hatte. Dieses konnten wir jedoch nicht wirklich offen lassen, da es direkten Blickkontakt mit dem gegenüber liegenden Zimmer hatte und die Stiegen direkt davor waren. Auch wenn wir den Vorhang nicht zugezogen hatten, war es sehr dunkel in unserem Zimmer. Die Beleuchtung im Zimmer ist sehr grell und macht das ganze nicht besser. Das gesamte Hotel ist sehr hellhörig, man hört jedes Wort, das am Gang geflüstert wird. Die Betten sind steinhart. Das Zimmer hatte für uns überhaupt keinen Charme. Für uns passte das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis leider gar nicht. Für den Aufenthalt war's dann okay, aber ich würde das Hotel auf keinen Fall wieder buchen und war sehr enttäuscht, da die Bewertungen eigentlich sehr gut schienen.

La ubicación del hotel está muy bien; el Barrio de Jalatlaco. Hay variedad de tiendas, restaurantes, sitios de interés, hasta farmacias a pocas calles. También se puede llegar caminando al centro de la ciudad y para los días lluviosos o muy soleados puedes descansar y apreciar los alrededores de la ciudad desde su roof garden. ¡Lo recomiendo!

Mi única sugerencia sería la remodelación y mejorar la limpieza de los baños. Por ejemplo, el ventilador de nuestro baño no funcionaba o la cortina de la regadera se notaba muy manchada de la parte que toca el piso.

Miguel was very helpful. Able to purchase tours from this hotel. Around this hotel they have several coffee shops and restaurants and gift shops with handmade items walking distance. Very colorful neighborhood. People very kind and helpful.

Lovely budget option! Room was comfortable and as it looked im photos, staff was nice, great location in jalatlaco and a 15 mins walk from the city center. They stored our luggage before and after check in and they called as a taxi. The room was cleaned every day and the rooftop is beautiful

Make sure to let them know when you arrive because the front door is not open at all times so we had some trouble getting in when we arrived. The hairdryer didnt seem to work. Power went down every time we tried. Everything else was perfect though

The hotel is in a wonderful part of the city with lots of cute shops and restaurants nearby. The decor is charming and the terrace offers a nice place to relax. It was clean and having AC was a big plus. Overall, it's a cute hotel with good value for a couple days in Oaxaca.

The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable which meant we didn't sleep well during our stay. Turned out to be a big downside as it was hard to feel rested for our days of sightseeing. The towels were also quite scratchy. Nothing too serious but I often found myself wanting a slightly more upgraded spot.

We stayed in total four nights in this hotel in two different rooms. The rooms on the upper level are great: quite and light. The hotel is located in a wonderful neighborhood a little bit apart from the busy center but you can easily explore Oaxaca by foot. The roof terrace is amazing and the staff is very helpfull and we could store our luggage for three days while we very hiking. We enjoyed our stay in Hotel Cazomalli.

We had a great stay! The hotel is comfortable, spacious, and in a great location - walkable to the centre of town, and lots of great restaurants, cafes, and street art in the area. Staff were friendly and helpful!

Tolle Lage und bequeme betten in grossem zimmer

Es ist etwas hellhörig und wir konnten leider nur mit Bargeld zahlen. Das sollte man im kopf haben. Die Dusche war leider etwas veraltet und der Duschkopf ziemlich verkalkt

- Das Hotel ist total süß und individuell eingerichtet, fast schon kramig (im besten Sinne), sowohl der Innenhof, als auch die Dachterrasse bietet schöne Sitzmöglichkeiten. - Das Zimmer war ausreichend groß und sehr hübsch eingerichtet. Es ist zwar alles ein wenig sehr in die Jahre gekommen (vor allem das Badezimmer), aber tip top gepflegt und sauber. - die Lage war wirklich perfekt, alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar und trotzdem ist es in der Straße ziemlich ruhig. Die ganze Stadt ist ein Kunstwerk und die Straßen um das Hotel sind da keine Ausnahme. Außerdem gibt es Supermärkte, Bars, Cafes und Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe. - die Gastgeber sind super nett, zuvorkommend und können perfekt englisch. Wir konnten eine Tour direkt an der Rezeption buchen, welche ebenfalls toll war. Wir haben ebenfalls sehr tolle Tipps für gute Restaurants erhalten.

- die Betten und die Kissen waren einfach steinhart. Ich konnte leider sehr sehr schlecht schlafen und habe wahnsinnige Rückenschmerzen bekommen. - Ein bisschen mehr Licht wäre toll gewesen, es gab zum Beispiel nur eine Nachttischlampe - die Beschreibung suggeriert, dass man einen Balkon hat, was jedoch nicht der Fall ist. Beim Verlassen ist man im Innenhof, was ich jedoch weder als Terrasse, noch als Balkon definieren würde. - Manchmal war es sehr laut innerhalb des Hotels. Wenn Menschen im Eingangsbereich waren, hat man sie im Bad gehört, als ob sie mit einem zusammen in der Dusche steht. Wir waren genau neben dem Fahrstuhl & wir haben uns zu Tode erschrocken als dieses olle Ding das erste Mal anging. So einen lauten Fahrstuhl habe ich in meinem ganzen Leben noch nie erlebt. Da es aber in der Nacht sehr ruhig war, hat es uns jetzt eher weniger gestört.

The location is in a great neighborhood with cafés and wall art, it is however about a 25 minute walk to the center of town where most things are located. Staff was friendly and called a taxi for me when I departed.

Although the location is in a nice neighborhood be aware that you will be located next to the church, it rings its bells multiple times from 7:45 to 8am. Staff began cleaning the hotel at 8am, I had a room near the laundry machines so again, no sleeping in at this hotel. Shower is basic, but does the trick, you'll need to play around with it to get the hot water working well.

I had a very unfortunate experience. Firstly, the beds are very hard. If you have a back or shoulder injury, you will be in pain. I also asked to switch rooms because of the bed but was told it wasn't possible. The beds were so uncomfortable that I decided I wanted to leave a day early and messaged & texted the night before to let the staff know. I had to leave early in the morning for a tour before the reception opened. I removed everything from my room and left the keys at the desk. Texted and messaged on booking.com to let them know. I also called them later in the day and no one picked up. I did everything within my power to let them know. I would have told the housekeeper but she didn't speak English. After the tour I returned hotel. They had not checked their messages in booking.com and their phone is a landline so the texts were not going through. I was told a refund was not possible but they offered me another room. I had already booked another hotel so that wasn't helpful and I don't understand why they didn't offer me that room when I originally asked. Really bad experience.

This is a charming, small hotel about as well situated as you could hope for. A vibrant neighborhood, safe at all hours, walking distance to so much! This was a perfect stay for us, and part of that was that it met our expectations. The rooms are simple, but clean and organized. Hotel staff was friendly but we had limited interactions. You get a key for later access (after 10) when the doors get closed. There is a roof terrace which we would have used on a longer stay but found ourselves always at a nearby cafe.

The mattresses may be firm for some. We were fine. That is truly searching for a complaint- would absolutely stay again.

Nella stanza doppia non c’erano prese sufficienti per poter caricare in due i nostri dispositivi. Inoltre l’unica unica disponibile vicino ai due letti caricava male. La tenda della doccia era sporca. Lo scarico del wc funzionava male e si sono preoccupati solo di darci lo stura scarico , dicendoci di usare quello in caso di necessità. Senza nemmeno entrare in stanza a controllare. Lo staff non cortese.

We worried that the location was a bit far away -- about a 15 minute walk to city center. But the Jalaltlaco neighborhood was a lovely surprise and the hotel was in the heart of it. It was one of the few that had a rooftop terrace, which had amazing views over the city. And the staff, especially Miguel, was helpful and fun to talk to. The vibe there is just right, too. Welcoming, home-like and very service-oriented, helping us arrange tours and get around.

We were glad to be on the top floor with easy access to the rooftop terrace. But the room was never quite dark (one window looked out over a lit stairwell). It wasn't quite quiet enough in the early morning, because sound carried up the stairs. This might not be a problem in other rooms though.

Der Ausblick von der Dachterrasse ist fantastisch, besonders zum Sonnenuntergang. Das Hotel hat uns so gut gefallen, dass wir verlängert haben. Leider mussten wir dafür Zimmer wechseln. Das war aber gar kein Problem, denn das Personal hat unser Gepäck direkt ins neue Zimmer gebracht.

The location is excellent, the hotel is situated in one of the coolest areas of Oaxaca. The property itself is beautiful, featuring a lovely patio and a rooftop area to enjoy. The WiFi worked well, and the room amenities were good. Overall, it offers great value for the price.

The check-in process was not entirely smooth. We arrived after the reception had closed, and although the staff had kindly agreed to wait for us, we experienced a slight delay getting in. We needed to call a few times before we were able to enter. It was not a major issue overall, but it may be something worth keeping in mind.

Exceptional staff, very friendly and helpful. Great location, and wonderful rooftop terrace with great views. Charming old building and decor.

The room quality is a bit variable. Our room was small, without outside windows, and a bit claustrophobic. But still very comfortable.

El hotel está situado en un barrio precioso,con un montón de restaurantes y bares alrededor. Es muy bonito,con un precioso patio interior con mesas decoradas y una terraza para llevarte tu cerveza y contemplar la vida mientras la disfrutas.La ubicación es inmejorable y el personal super amable. La habitación,aunque un poco anticuada,era preciosa y tanto la cama como las almohadas, comodísimas.

Necesita un poco de actualización. Por ejemplo, unos enchufes al lado de las camas.La única forma de cargar algo era desenchufando la tele o el aire acondicionado y ambos se encontraban a bastante altura,en especial el del aire. Por otro lado la presión del agua es casi inexistente,pero eso no es culpa del hotel,es un problema generalizado. De todos modos, un poco de paciencia a la hora de la ducha y ya....estando de vacaciones no vale la pena estresarse por cosas así,sobre todo cuando el lugar y sus gentes son tan especiales

The Jalatlaco neighborhood is charming and and easy walk to everything. The hotel and its rooftop terrace are lovely and everyone there is very nice.

My particular room was a little noisy since it was on the street on the first floor. I would definitely come back and would book a room upstairs.
