Spanish Villa Resort

Perfect location, across from the lake. We had a balcony facing the lake. The suite was spacious and clean. Beds were very comfortable. It is an older property but no problems at all.

We didn't have any issues with anything.

Floor hadn't been cleaned ever. Feet were black after a shower. Heater smelled like burning electronics and was likely cleaned the last time the floor was cleaned. Walls were paper thin. Listened to a woman laugh for half an hour at 2 am. Mattresses were great .... in 1973. Now. Not so much. Wanted to make coffee. The one coffee pouch provided was leaned perfectly against the wall. When triend to pour, it had already been opened.

Gratis parkeerplaats bij het appartement. Ons appartementen complex lag vlak naast de levendige boulevard aan het meer waar wij overigens geen last van hadden..

Ondanks dat het ons bekend was viel het trappen lopen naar de 1e verdieping (ook nog buiten om) tegen. In het appartement was de keuken inventaris niet helemaal compleet iets wat wij aan de beheerder van het appartementen complex hadden doorgegeven maar tijdens ons verblijf niet werd aangevuld.

Ми зупинялися в 720 номері, хороший номер, досить чистий, але спати було неможливо тому що під умивальником в стіні постійно капала вода ніби на щось металеве то швидше то повільніше особливо чутно було вночі кожних 5 хвилин. також через те що це внутрішній двір, якщо кілька людей захоче поспілкуватися в зоні барбекю, то досить шумно тоді. Як на мене, то ціна трохи завищена була на ці дні.

The room was not the one we have seen on booking.come during the reservation. Also there has been a waiting time for the bbq usage.

Nice, older motel right on the beach and in the heart of the action. We stayed in the Lakeview Suite with Kitchen and really enjoyed it. Staff were friendly and helpful. Price was very fair for the accommodations. Only upgrade needed were the beds...the pullout couch in particular was in dire need of a new mattress. Otherwise, we were very pleased with our stay! Thank you Spanish Villa for a great holiday!

Location: Absolutely perfect. You can't beat being right in front of Okanagan Lake. The views are stunning, and it’s super convenient to walk to coffee shops, restaurants, and the famous Lickity Split ice cream shop. You really can't ask for a better spot in Penticton. Atmosphere: The vibe is very relaxed and "old-school" beach resort. It has a charming, retro feel that matches the lakeside setting. It’s quiet and peaceful, making it easy to unwind, though the property does feel a bit dated. Rooms: This is where it gets mixed. The air conditioning is a lifesaver—it’s an older unit but works perfectly and gets very cold. However, the setup is odd because it's only located in the living room. We had to max it out and leave it running constantly just to get the cool air to reach the bedroom, which wasn't very efficient. The biggest downside was the floor; it was dirty. If you walked barefoot, your feet would turn black after just a few steps. Value & Cleanliness: For the price, the value is good considering the prime location. Overall, the rest of the unit seemed clean (bathroom, kitchen, etc.), but the dirty floor really dragged down the impression of cleanliness. Noise Level: Very low noise level. We slept well without any disturbances from neighbors or the street. Service: Exceptional. The team was always reachable and very responsive. A special shout-out to Mathew, who checked us in. He was incredibly warm, friendly, approachable, and had great knowledge about things to do in Penticton. He made us feel very welcome. Amenities: There aren't really any amenities to speak of (no pool, gym, or breakfast), so be prepared for a very basic stay in that regard. Final Verdict: This is a great spot if you value location and a friendly welcome above all else. Just bring some slippers for the floors and be aware that the AC setup is a bit quirky!

Rooms were not equipped with utensils, broom, garbage bags, kitchen towels or paper towels, no oven liner Only 1 mug. 1 wine glass, etc. had to run to front staff for everything. Bbq area was not appealing

Location was amazing and the suites were well equipped. Beds were comfy and bedding was perfect for summer weather, fresh towels and ice were always available. Staff were excellent and attentive. Provided a great place to have our family gathering for a 50th birthday celebration. We will be coming back:)

Parking a bit crazy at times when motel was fully booked and foot shower drain clogged at times but really only a minor issue.

Location was great (steps away from the beach), and the room was comfortable.

I wish the housekeeping was a little more involved during our stay. They do not clean during your stay, which is okay. But we had to ask the front desk for extra toilet paper, coffee, or anything else we needed. There was one night during our stay where the quiet hours were not respected and there was a group of guests being loud in the parking lot at 2am-3am. Any loud music or talking in the parking lot can be heard very clearly in the rooms. I'm not sure if the hotel is able to reinforce the quiet hours.

Rooms were very outdated, and smelled like musty ashtrays. Despite that, the bed was comfortable enough, linens were decent. Very poorly stocked kitchen. I recommend bringing an air fryer or your own cookware.

A bit outdated

Unbeatable location. Room smelt extremely offensive, so much so we had to go purchase several air freshners and candles just so we could tolerate it. Although the room smelt, it seemed clean. Bed was ok. Couch was pretty bad. Absolutely horribly stocked kitchen, the baking sheets provided for the oven DO NOT EVEN FIT as the oven is an extra small size one ha! Not even a salad bowl ! So be warned to pack your own cookware. Staff was great, and extremely accommodating with getting us in for an early check in. Noise levels were good in the complex, room backed on to a park which was a little loud but not bad.

We stumbled a post Spanish villas and now we’re going to make it part of our yearly tradition. Olivia at the office was just such a lovely person to welcome us and make sure we had everything we needed. The barbecues were great. The rooms were basic and exactly what we needed especially with two teens. Thank you very much.

We love the location ! Right across from the lake on Lakeshore Dr The suite with the kitchen was perfect to cook some of our meals. Friendly and helpful staff 👌

Only thing that's a but challenging is the tight parking .

A decent place for an overnight stay in Penticton: it was spacious and reasonably clean, although the bathroom in particular was showing its age. A pretty typical motel with parking outside rooms (although we arrived back late and managed to grab the last available parking slot: parking might therefore be an issue). It's nice and close for walking to the lake side which is very pleasant.

As soon as we laid down after coming back, there was a awful gurgling sound coming from the bathroom and it was the bathtub filling up with dirty water. We immediately packed up, left and called the emergency number. Dylan saw to our needs and helped us out.

Rooms were clean and in a great location. We were up for the Elvis festival and will stay here again next year. Thanks.

We loved our visit here (huge shout out to Olivia!!!) yes, this an older gem but that's the unique character of the okanagan that is missing in many places now and you are RIGHT across the from the beach. This place is on the "strip" the original street that runs all along beautiful Okanagan Lake. I didn't even unpack - just jumped in for a glorius swim, there is nothing like this lake, seriously. You have restaurants, services and all that you need right around you in a safe and walkable distance. Beds were clean and comfy - I can't wait to come back.

Location location location! We booked a double room last minute and were pleasantly surprised at how clean and comfortable our room was and how wonderful Olivia and the rest of the staff are. This property is unapologetically simple and budget friendly. We will visit again.

Having a unique situation to navigate, they were very accommodating and understanding and worked with me to provide a solution and did so patiently and kindly.

Upon checkout I had informed the facility front desk that I needed an extension of time, and that I would pay the additional cost if needed, to be given the grace of a bit more time - - and one of the housekeepers was lingering/ glaring at me outside the door for a few minutes until his coworker brought his behaviour to his attention and they departed.

The location is great and although the building is somewhat dated, the rooms were clean and well maintained. The layout of our suite with kitchenette was good.The front desk staff were very helpful. There is a good restaurant right next door and more along the street.

Facilities to lock up bikes would be helpful. There are a lots of bike trails around but the city and hotels lack secure bike lockups. Replacement of older rusted stairs.

Coffee maker did not work. Water did not flow down into the pot. The office gave us another coffee maker but no pot. The pot on the first coffee maker was too big to fit the second coffee maker. The front desk very pleasant clerk gave us her personal coffee pot which worked.

The Spanish Villa resort is right across from the beach and close to attractions. The staff were friendly and the suite we had was roomy with good wifi and had been updated in the not too distant past.

I’ve only just checked in and I can tell that this is a wonderful place to stay. Olivia at the front desk could not have been more helpful or pleasant.

The office staff were helpful and communication regarding our reservation was excellent. We loved the location of Spanish Villa right across the street from the beach. As well the size of the suite was super; and the beds were comfortable. The price was fairly reasonable. There was a lovely patio table newly painted which we used each evening overlooking Lake Okanagan. However, the suite is in need of updating and holes in the walls should be filled and painted. It would have also been very helpful to have had at least one towel bar in the bathroom. The toilet plugged easily and there were no recycling containers. The floors needed a thorough wash. My slippers were so dirty after staying that I had to throw them out.

Love the location to walk everywhere, the lake front view, fridge, microwave, coffee, access to beach, excellent hiking and wine tastings in the area.

The street can be noisy at times, but it was expected and we brought earplugs just in case.

Le ménage laissait vraiment à désirer dans la salle de bain… La réception n’est ouverte que jusqu’à 17h alors que les check in sont à partir de 16h… pas très logique. De plus leur système d’arrivée autonome n’est pas des plus pratiques

Extremely dirty. Dated. Stains on towels, pillows, chairs, couch. Unreliable hot water. Very thin walls - all neighbours are loudly audible. Lysol wiped the counters and some were brown. Uncomfortable beds. Left behind our indoor slides because they were black by the end of our stay.

Amazing location next to the beach!

It was more quiet on the initial weekdays and then there were some people partying over the weekend which made it noisier.

Matt and the staff at Spanish Villa were great, very helpful and friendly. Our room was nice and clean! Room cleanliness is probably the most important thing for us. Room was also quiet and the location right on the beach is awesome!

The location was fantastic and the staff only seen once at the desk on day after check in . Staff did contact me by email about check in at 9:00 pm but it went to spam file . They did answer the intercom at the office door to give me verbal instructions .

Very old. Everything needs updating .. from beds curtains sinks , bureau etc all needs to go ! . Had food left in the fridge when we arrived so not properly cleaned and found two black bugs in sink drawer when I opened it to pack to come home . The bugs scattered into the joint of the drawer . The metal stairs outside were extremely rusted and the steps cracked . This property needs a lot of love and attention!

Im Grunde handelt es sich um einen Double‑Wide Trailer, der zu einem Miethaus umgebaut wurde. Die Wände sind papierdünn, man hört jedes Auto auf der Straße. Nicht zu empfehlen

No staff onsite to deal with noisy and unruly guests on multiple nights. During the day I tried to talk with someone in person and walked to locations they manage all offices were closed. Room has loose wall plugs, loose toilet, leaking taps and a large 2” gap under the door to adjoining room that allowed zero sound barrier

The staff at the Spanish Visit are lovely, they always go above and beyond to ensure the best stay. The rooms are clean and you cannot beat the proximity to the beach!

The lakeview rooms at the front with the balcony are terrific and great value. We stayed in room 230 and plan to return. Beds were comfortable. Very attentive and friendly staff.

If you rent a room with a kitchen it has very basic supplies and ours had scratched non-stick pots/pans and warped cutting boards. I'd suggest to bring your own cookware as well as hairdryer.

Well they all seem accommodating but the room they gave us had no parking spot near it that was accessible. When I booked the room told them ground floor, handicapped. There wasn't even a handicap space. They told me we could park in spot around the corner and parked there. No problem until our second day when they also told someone else to park there. Those people argued with us so (AGAIN NO HANICAPPED PARKING NEAR OUR ROOM) we parked down the line. Obviously that don't care that people have mobility and medical reasons for needing accessibility. Also, the window locks were broken and the window was open when we returned from dinner. Found a small stick they used to keep the window closed. Wonderful. Supposed to have a hair dryer...nope had to call and ask for one. I don't need 5 star but this place is run by people who are not handicapped sympathetic. Whe we complained about the parking they just started yelling in another language. We only speak English. Now we are super uncomfortable staying here. Don't stay here.
