Burleys Gardens and Suite

It was a very nice apartment. It had everything that would be needed to make your stay very comfortable. Margaret that runs the apartments was very nice and very helpful. I highly recommend staying here

A real hidden hem surrounded by nature. A real pleasure to wske ip with the melodious songs of the birds.

When we "reserved" our stay, we checked the accessibility to the rooms. We were advised that there were two short flights of stairs, which would normally not be an issue. As it turns out there were two short flights, "Outside" the property. Unfortunatley, inside the property there was a flight which rose from the entry door on the first floor to the second floor. These stairs were Narrow and Very Steep, and did not have not have a Hand Rail. My wife, who could hand the two smaller flights, could not handle this inside flight. As a result we could not check in and were force to continue back to our Home in the Guelph area. The Owner was most accommodating and agreed the my wife should no try the inside flight of stairs and said the she would contact Experdia herself to have our reservation cancelled and our charges refunded. Unfortunately, we have yet to hear from Expedia.

The hard working Host Margaret is very pleasant, and responds well to phone calls. The accommodation is roomy, and has a comfortable bed. The internet was good. Nice to have coffee/tea. As per the information listed on the amenities, there are three sets of stairs to go up/down to the accommodation (which is attached to the “garden” business and the owner’s home).

Great quiet getaway

This was a very pleasant surprise. The apartment is very cozy, spacious, clean and has everything you would want. Especially enjoyed walking through the property and enjoying the view from the balcony out towards the gardens. Had a great walk to the canal and lift locks the next morning which was very picturesque! An added bonus is the great shopping you can do for plants/flowers and even unique gifts! A great store that the owners run, one that you can spend a lot of time looking through and probably not see everything.

The hosts were amazing! Very friendly and welcoming. The place was ready for us with no hassles when we arrived. Clean, neat, and very clear instructions on how to navigate certain appliances with ease.

A lot of stairs to climb to a very old and outdated room.

Nice comfortable cottage type apartment.

We always appreciate Margaret’s friendliness. Having the balcony is an asset.

It was a small apartment in the upstairs of an old house. Very charming! It had a small kitchen for making your own meals, as well as living room with comfy couch & chair and TV. The bed was firm and very comfortable. The hostess was very friendly and easy to comunicate with. Would be beautiful in the summer as it has a backyard garden! Host runs a garden store beside the house. Lots of plants for purchase as well as garden ornaments. A wonderful place to visit!

A really lovely little place! Delightful owner & fabulous greenhouse/garden art shop attached. Very handy for my purposes, very clean & lots of space for 1 or 2 people.

Excellent place to stay. Margaret is very welcoming and made us feel at home. The flat was very warm and cosey. We were very happy we chose to stay here. We would love to see the gardens in the summer.

The rental is attached to a flower shop and it looks like the back gardens would be spectacular in the warmer months. (We were there in January). It’s an older home but lots of care and thoughtfulness has went into making it a cozy retreat.

Property was comfortable, clean and cosy..perfect for us.

Great accommodations !

Very nice people here.

Love the quaint apartment with two bedrooms, living room, small kitchen, and one bathroom. Perfect size for 4 people. Breakfast items in the fridge to make. The gardens are beautiful to look at, it gives you a sense of tranquility. I highly recommend staying at Burley's Garden and suite. The owner received us with a warm welcome and great conversation about Peterborough and other places.

An amazing B n B , excellent experience.

Such a cool experience. We really enjoyed the view, room and our host Margaret. It was a really unique experience.

The property is beautiful and we had a great stay. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful, short stay while visiting family in the area and we would highly recommend! Margaret made us feel welcomed and at home.

Easy check-in, Margaret was welcoming and showed the ins and outs of the suite. Nice backyard. One can watch the birds from the balcony/ windows. Good breakfast materials provided. The garden store is open everyday and has some nice plants and garden trinkets.

Well equipped and very hospitable!

The apartment is a real home from home. We booked both bedrooms and had plenty of space. Easy drive into Peterborough or to Trent University. Hosts are very welcoming.

Booking was simple, the room (apartment, really) was like a home away from home, and the hosts were friendly and happy to out. Would definitley come.back.

Very comfortable apartment like space.

Wonderful stay. Very cozy and relaxing

Lovely hosts! Beautiful gardens

We loved the owner and staff they were so kind and accommodating. They even drive us to our wedding and offered to come get us if we couldn’t get a ride. The place is very cute and has everything. Bed very comfortable and left us a nice breakfast to make. Our only issue was a mustiness we could smell. My husband has breathing issues and he found it hard to sleep. Might just need a dehumidifier. Thanks again for providing a cute place to spend an evening 👍😊!!!

Wonderful stay, lovely suite and very comfortable. The breakfast was great. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Very nice area

Cozy, breakfast was excellent. Good location close to restaurant. Food was excellent at near by restaurant. Price was excellent. I would recomend this B and B.

The suite was very spacious with all amenities necessary for a comfortable stay. The owners were very friendly and personable. We will not hesitate to stay there again!

Lovely place to kick up your feet and lay your head. Clean, quiet, accommodating. Hostess Margaret is a very nice lady to deal with. Nice apartment accommodations with kitchette, a full livingroom. She also has a fantastic plant store as well.

Very clean and welcoming suite. Would recommend to everyone.

A lovely place to stay - very homey, clean, and peaceful. Would highly recommend!

It is a charming accommodation, lovely little balcony overlooking the beautiful property.

Very unique older house but very well kept. The grounds were beautiful. It was like staying at my grandmother's house in the middle of the Garden of Eden. Close to restaurants and not a long drive to downtown. The fixings for breakfast were provided and we're fine.

Interesting and odd set up. One lovely suite. Lots of stairs getting in; if you are older it’s a bit daunting. Breakfast food was left in a serve yourself format in the suite. Kind of rationed but sufficient. Never had that before in a B&B but it worked. The nursery grounds were fun to walk and the shop is very charming.

We would stay there again. Convenient and comfortable.

Fabulous owners 😊 The accommodations are just lovely and the breakfast is excellent.

The best place to stay in Peterborough!

What an extraordinary place. Margaret's zeal and hard work have created the most comfortable, enchanting and serene environment. As we already had lunch plans, we were unable to eat the full breakfast that she had provided. We would not hesitate to stay here again, given the opportunity. Many thanks. Wayne Cottrell

Owner met us at the door, showed us all the amenities of the apartment, gave us a key and left us a variety of food in the fridge for a full breakfast to make in the morning. Good wifi, TV and apartment is clean, well maintained and clean. Great place to stay.

We loved having our own suite. Very kind people and food provided was more than we expected! Loved it.

Very comfortable. Management has thought about everything we might need and provided it! Great breakfast too!

Unique garden property and gift shop. Suite includes living room, small balcony and full kitchen.

Burley's is unique in that is situated in a garden centre surrounded by beautiful gardens with a variety of benches to sit on and wind vanes to watch and chimes to listen to. It's like a piece of heaven to sit on the balcony overlooking all this too!

From the time you check in to the time you check out everything remained perfect. It was so welcoming just the perfect get away. Cant wait to return soon.

The natural beauty of the grounds and the suite itself was cosy and private!

Beautiful property. Perfect for a quiet relaxing getaway.

Very accommodating owner. The facilities were very comfortable and private.

The property was located within beautiful gardens. The hosts were kind and helpful. The rooms were very clean and cozy. The beds were extremely comfortable. We would stay again!

Wonderful stay in Peterborough. Wish I could have stayed longer. Entire suite, fully equipped including supplied breakfast fixins. Little porch deck overlooking the gardens. Terrific hosts, thanks Margaret! I'll be back.

Lovely owners, relaxing setting

Rooms were big enough for 2 people. Cleanliness was very good. Breakfast was included but we have do it ourselves should be mentioned clearly in Expedia's site.

Comfortable, pleasant place, good space for my husband, son and I.
