Located right at marina on ocean. Here for my birthday and had dinner in restaurant on site and excellent.

The desk peronnel were very good and informative. The apartments were quite fine and comfortable. Balcony and view from it are fantastic. A liquor store on the ground floor and a fine restaurant.

There is no swimming pool as it was closed down many years ago. Though an old picture of a pool is shown on Google Maps. The training facilities were shared with the local training club, so were not that inviting. Generally it appears that the main building is also closed down and only the reception is open.

The view was wonderful. I appreciated the sectional so I could stretch out and the king size bed was comfortable.

We were told the restaurant was closed even though we were about an hour before closing. We saw the host turn several people away. They allowed us to get a drink and our server was very friendly, but you shouldn't close before the posted times.

Very poor customer service. Had asked for an early checkin for a wedding. Was told they would try to accommodate us. Not only could we not checkin early, but at 3 our room was not ready, and even though there were no others checking in at 3, our room was apparently the LAST to be cleaned. Sliding door to the balcony was absolutely filthy. AC was so loud there was no way we could sleep with it on so we thought we would just leave the balcony door open with the screen…NO SCREEN ON THE DOOR. The place is rundown…peeling wallpaper & dark stains on the ceiling.

Elevator did not work. Had confusing messages from Booking.com and hotel. Balcony had cobwebs and the balcony window was not clean. Which is fairly important when you have an ocean view.

Location was right where we wanted and expected it to be. Bed was comfortable, TV was good. Stayed one night, so our needs weren’t high, so this place was everything we needed.

Access into property was okay, but seemed a little different as the road in from the highway looks to be in need of repair so you are directed through this large paved area which seems a little confusing at first. I mean it’s not horrible or anything, just not as direct as one would expect. At night could possibly be confusing. Did not affect my experience or rating though.

Room was on bottom floor, this helped. Customer service was absolutely great, We did not check the restaurant we hope next time. I would love to do stay next time on my personal time off.

We have stayed many times at the Gardens. The rooms and views are excellent. The front desk is always super accommodating, most notably Nichole, for example she’ll give you a heads up that there will be a wedding reception on the night of your stay or the restaurant will be booked. Overall our favourite place on the upper Sunshine Coast.

The check in process was very smooth and quick. The parking is convenient. The room and view was excellent and the room amenities were satisfactory. The bed was comfortable.

The sheets feel a bit like plastic. And the pool was closed, or no longer available since my last stay here. The price is a bit high, for the amenities provided.

Big room, good location

Dated and dreary room for the price. Also, the room they put us was close to large heating unit fans that were loud and kept on turning on all night.

The view from the room was excellent, but what made our stay outstanding was how Nicole at the reception handled the issue we had with our booking

Excellent view in our waterfront room. Great place to stay in Powell River. Room was large and comfortable.

No breakfast available on site and a bit of a drive to go get one.

Was great but the coffee machine was the loudest thing I’ve ever heard. Vibrated the whole room.

The resort wasn’t what I expected based on the website pictures. The room was lovely, clean and provided what you needed. The outside entry to the rooms is very unwelcoming and doesn’t do justice for the resort. The resort is much smaller than I expected.

Love the check in experience - the lady there was so good and professional!! The hotel was perfect. The Seasider Restaurant was amazing. Special thanks for that team accommodating us all!

Stayed one night at this property and it was fine. Rooms were outdated but comfortable. Bed and pillows were fine. Room could have used a chair and screens on the windows. The view from our second floor room was the star. Skip the restaurant. Other than the view it lacks atmosphere. Wait staff were friendly. Kitchen was unwilling to accommodate a food allergy. Food was ok. Be sure to visit the Salish Distillery on the adjacent property. Their products were great. The tastings were fun with a great charcuterie option.

Views from the room are great, amazing sun sets. The balconies are small with two chairs, a small table would be a nice addition.

No amenities. I had assumed there was an attached restaurant but I believe it is a separate venue. (Sea Side) Also it is closed on Monday and Tuesday!! I must have missed this on their website.

The air-conditioner is too noisy. The pillows are too bulky. We went out for breakfast in the morning. When we came back at 10:45am (we hadn't checked out yet), we were surprised to find that the door of 404 was opened and the janitor was cleaning the room with our luggages still there. The janitor even stopped us from using the bathroom.

Great views. Friendly staff. Great amenities. Only one restaurant available for dining below hotel and they were hosting an event inside when we arrived. No signs anywhere about an event. We were turn away as it was busy so we asked to sit outside since it was empty just to enjoy the view but they decline too. We said we wouldn’t need a menu or drinks or need any service. Just sitting outside the patio - still declined.

This is our 3rd or 4th time staying here. We have stayed at other hotels in the area but this one has a beautiful balcony ocean view. Its quiet, clean, a/c, laundry, restaurant, and beer store. The front desk staff is always great. The other staff is as well except for this time. A younger girl had attidude everytime we asked for something such as towels and garbage bags. We stayed for a week and did not want or expect our room done up during our stay. Maybe our room was not hers. Im not sure. She was always one we could see availabe when we were. We did not let her ruin our trip tho. We reccommend staying here!

Nice room with beautiful view from balcony. Was very upset that restaurant was closed as it is a 5 km walk to town to eat.The reason we booked so far out of town was that we could eat there. Having to uber to town to eat was a pain. We wanted to have a drink with dinner and not drive.

The ocean view from our room was amazing

We stay at this property when my husband is away for work. He loves the old school style gym and is the reason he continues to stay there. Rooms are clean but walls are thin and most rooms have a door between so we could hear our neighbors like they were in our room. Also this visit we had upstairs neighbors who were fighting and just noisy. We could hear every word rhey were syaing. Its nice to have a waterfront view tho. Beds are comfy so All in all i give it a 4. I hope they start their new build soon cause it would also be nice to have a pool.

Great location. Front desk staff was amazing. Our first room we were given wasn’t clean. Front desk rectified it immediately. Housekeeping didn’t make it to our room 2nd day despite being gone majority of the day. Front desk was great having us stop in to get new coffee supplies. View of the ocean was amazing. Beds comfortable. Will try somewhere else next time but overall would recommend.

We Checked into Room 215, The TV wasn’t working so We phoned the Front Desk and got moved to Room 216, It was a nicer room, King Size Bed, with a Chestfield . It was a beautiful room Thank You

Wasnt actually in downtown Powell River but didnt need to be, for had everything.

The view was fantastic , would be nicer with clear railings but got to watch the wales all day . Restaurant was good and close .

Stayed 14 days (over $4G) and was very disappointed with our experience. Customer service was poor. Far from a 'resort'. It is rundown, no working pool, all faucets leaked, did not receive advertised on-site continental breakfast. When pressed, they grudgingly provided breakfast coupons to their sister hotel (10 mins drive) and the breakfast was disappointing. No choice in items, insisted that guest get random items as they were not allowed to specify what type of fruit, flavor of yogurt or whether you get a pastry/muffin, even though there was obviously available items to choose from. Housekeeping was minimal at best. And a couple of times, they didn't even make the bed as they claimed a personal item was left on it (one time a scrunchie was found in the bed so they stopped making the bed, but had obviously moved the scrunchie to the top of the bed. So they can touch it, but decided to leave it on the bed and not finish making the bed/changing the sheets instead of moving it to the bed table! Another time, there was a small personal throw at the foot of the bed, so they didn't touch the bed.) When I asked for extra towels, they wrote a note that they ran out, but later, I was able to get extra towels at the front desk. When we called the GM to voice our concerns, we got excuses and a basically "don't care, your problem" attitude. No solutions, nothing to compensate for the lack of pool & inconvenience of driving to a lackluster breakfast. Will not be staying here again.

Restaurant close Views

A little pricey

Clean and well equiped room with comfortable beds. Quite enjoyed the Seasider restaurant for diner one night. Very quiet. Nice balcony to watch the whales and the eagles.

Accommodation was great. Fabulous view from the balcony. Surrounding areas need work. Confusing entry to the property from the highway.

I loved the balcony and view of the ocean. The air conditioning was very noisy, so it could not be used. The room was hot without it.

Did not like the Bistro's limited menu. The property entrance/pavement was rough- we drove in with our 69 Dodge Dart (a muscle car) after visiting the Sleepy Hollow run in Sechelt.

The property itself was in a nice quite location tucked away by the ocean front and close driving distance to the city center. Decent and clean room with good view of the ocean. It's an older hotel and the walls/floors are not very insulated so we could hear our loud neighbors next door and could hear people walking and kids running in the room above.

Ok for a one night stay, view was excellent, bed was hard and room is dated. Quiet area. Air conditioning is loud, but works. Shower sucked, shower head plugged up. Tv was very small, maby 32 inches, few channels worked………..

This hotel was amazing. Super clean, friendly staff, and a good bed. Very quiet and peaceful location right on the water. We spent afternoons watching the whales from our balcony. Laundry facilities were exactly $2 for washer and $2 for dryer. The Italian cofee makers were a great touch and it was help yourself to as many pods as you needed. The internet was abit sketchy at times but we were on holidays. We will stay there for sure if we get back to Powell River.

Marina and reservations team at this resort don't talk to each other. We reserved at the marina few weeks in advance and reserved with a credit card. We were given a slip assignment suitable for a sailing vessel. The day of arrival I emailed to notify that were were on our way and looking forward to our stay. Our slip assignment was changed to a shallow berth with difficult entry for a sailing vessel, I considered it dangerous. The next day we were informed we would have to be moved to another dock (our original reservation) however we were informed of this as the tide was coming out put us at further risk. The marina staff were clearly overwhelmed and did not have clear communications with reservations. The marina entry cards we were given did not work , the laundry facility was listed and not really working well either We enjoyed a meal at the restaurant on the property, and got some great tourism tips from the hotel reception staff. She was excellent but I did not catch her name. We were excited to spend the day looking around the area. However, when told we would have to move from one slip to the other, instead of taking the risk of re docking we decided it would be best just to leave the marina and never book with this place again

We loved the view from the room. It faced the sea so we appreciated the dark curtains that allowed us to sleep in. It was then so lovely to open them and have the morning light! We also had a clean balcony with nice chairs and we enjoyed watching the sun set to the right of our view. It was also fun to watch the action at the marina. The beds were good. We couldn't get a King size so we had 2 queens.

The small fridge held most of our things but we couldn't fit a freezer block in the small freezer section. The freezer section was also full of frost limiting it as well. We had to turn the fridge down because our food started to freeze. I wish the room smelled "fresher". I'm not sure how you would fix that - but, it just smelled "old". Maybe it's having the carpet. Newer hotels are using LVT now...

Wonderful stay

The view from the balcony is wonderful. The room is clean and comfortable

No breakfast offered onsite. Had to drive across town to the sister hotel. Inconvenient, so we didn’t go.

Amazing. One of the nicest places I have stayed. Ocean front balcony, ocean front fine dining. Great food, and just far enough from the highway so it was very quiet.

Virtually everything was great - huge, clean, comfortable room, great view of the marina, great patio restaurant with a view of the water!

Air conditioner was loud, and would have liked to have breakfast included but still a great experience.

Beautiful views! Lovely rooms - very friendly staff. Rooms were noisy though, with adjoining doors in every room so sound transfer was high. Also - restaurant wasn’t open Monday Tuesday and breakfast is off site every day. Just a point to note. Property is weird with lots of open space and not too many signs to get you down there but I understand there will be a new development there with great amenities too. I will be back!
