This hotel was close to many restaurants and shops. Breakfast included was decent.

The wifi was terrible and the room look well used.

The receptionist on check in was great, the room was clean with a good bed. The location is really good for exploring the city.

Sadly the wifi doesn’t work in all device types, only mobiles. The air-con is old and doesn’t keep the room cool and breakfast is not great, food isn’t replenished when it runs out, tables left dirty etc.

Great location to head to most places in Singapore. Facilities are the strong point with water, co-working area, gym and more. Staff very helpful

The staff are very humble and helpful especially the front desk lady that I don’t remember her name. She always greeted us with bug smile and even help me with how to withdraw cash when I couldn’t use all of my cards 😄 Room was always kept clean and tidy.

The nitty gritty things like water seeps from the shower stall into the toilet. They just need to silicon seal the bottom of the shower screen glass. Lack of variety for the breakfast.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is just perfect for a walk around the city centre.

The breakfast menu: Steamed rice was not perfectly cooked or it was too dry therefore it was not fluffy and tender, overipped tempeh for mendoam, rice porridge (congee) was not silky, thin, and smooth. The rooms: The hotel rooms smell likea mold (air-conditioning unit needs properly cleaned and maintained). The linens and sheets were dark and not smell fresh.

Best… Not Like What Others Review… What Do U Expect For 3star hotels? Amaris can offer the best if you r on tight budget.

Location was perfect, very central and easy to access and go around from.

The room was in poor shape, towels were very worn out and smelling like bleach. Since the location is very central, there is a lot of traffic outside and the room was quite noisy.

You get what you pay for here. Cheap hotel means insects and creatures in the room. Mediocre facilities. It’s decent for a short stay (couple of hours) but if you’re staying longer I wouldn’t recommend it.

Location is great!

Facilities are not in the best condition. You have to position the tap somewhat in the middle to make the water stop. Body soap was not available. Towels were not in the best condition.

Great location close to Tunjungan Plaza area and a lot of street food. Staff are good and responsive.

The bathroom was smelly, like sewage or old pipes. My sons' bathroom smelled like cigarettes, but the staff sprayed it with air refreshener and it was better after a while. My towel had a hole in it and I've told the staff, hopefully they will improve.

The room was not very clean, There were cockroaches in the bathroom and just entering the room it smelled rotten. There is water dripping from the ceiling when the bathroom shower is turned on, this must be repaired immediately. The towels provided were also dirty and after I asked for a change, I was given a cleaner towel.

Happily the breakfast was saved, as there was someone who baked the eggs for you as you wanted, either omelette or eyed-eggs. Also, the check in was very easy. Very friendly and helpful staff! We didn't have a knife so they cut our fruit for us and they were available for any need we may have had.

The room was cleaned but not thoroughly. The ventilation in the toilet was not very effective. Also there was no stopper in the sink so we saw some small cockroaches in the room during the night. The breakfast was mediocre, with very low quality butter, marmalade of unknown origin, light coffee and tea that had gone cold.

During our 6 months roadtrip, from Jogja to Labuan Bajo, and back, this is the most value for money hotel, breakfast was beyond our expectation for budget hotel, good wifi

We came at midnight for check in, after a long trip from Bandung, we were indeed tired, we booked two rooms and the check in process was really slow. We asked whether we could have a late check out for 2pm, the front desk staff answered that there would additional charge for that. He didn't look at my eyes while answering, instead he kept typing on the computer, not a nice gesture. We asked whether he could discuss it with the manager the next morning, arrogantly he answered, even though I talked to the manager, the answer will be the same 12 noon check out time. We bargain whether we could have a late check out at 13.00, he still insisted that it will be charged for additional. No sense of empathy at all... We went to the room, and we found out that all the wall near the window was really bad and moldy, that were in those two rooms. One the soap dispenser button was loosen, wifi connection was very slow and sometimes off. Nothing special on the breakfast. We saw many guests went in and out without wearing masker, and no staff or security officer were care to warn those guests! Better choose other hotel for next Surabaya visit!

Check in took a long time. The desk agent suggested that we use their car to the airport and that it would be there at 10. It came 45 minutes late. Breakfast was good with a large selection of Indonesian dishes. Hotel is near a huge mall with lots of restaurants. WiFi was terrible! Lots of mold on shower head.

Rooms are clean,nice and comfortable.There ia free coffe and team for guest and visitor in lobby I think ia very helpful.Although the safe Certainly satisfied if staying again.For food standard as most Hotels.This Hotels ia good for Buisness....Feel like home

Hi, I picked this hotel as I looked at reviews for its cleanliness and breakfasts food. Hmm, i got below expectations. I got stinky room. As for business, we need wifi, but it was very slow. Yes it near room, and you will hear cars sound, but I did not mind. In the morning i only ate cooked egg as it was good to eat. And yah hot tea. What is good, they provided my floor with water dispenser so you can get fresh water anytime. And staffs were so nice to us

Located in a strategic area in the heart of Surabaya... near with Tunjungan Plaza and also with a culinary place (Rawon Setan, Tahu Campur, Ketan Duren, etc.) comfy bed, nice taste and cheap breakfast.. lovely.. if i have a meeting and exhibition in Surabaya again, i definitely will choose Amaris again...

I stayed here for 2 night for business purpose and also bring my 14 months old baby with me. I choose this hotel because its perfect location which is right in the heart of city and easy to find minimarkets and local street food around. The room was nice eventhough too noisy as you can hear anything happened in the next room door. The receptionists were poor in service, one I can clearly remember is Ms. Putri. Since I first made the booking reservation, I've clearly stated that I do need early check-in around 12 noon as I bring also my baby with me. But she refused and said I need to wait until 2 pm as others do also because the hotel was fully occupied. FYI I arrived there on 12.30 am. So bad. The breakfast is good & also the housekeeping service in the 5th floor is awesome. They helped me so much while seeing me walking alone with my baby. Good job for the housekeeping staffs ! The room is comfortable and good for short visit to Surabaya. The AC works properly but the WIFI is so poor. Overall, only recommended for a short visit and business purpose only.

Good location in central of surabaya, close to some food place at Tidar. Close to some shoping centre, good and kinds staff services. Breakfast had some choice from meat to indonesian salad call Gado Gado.

I already provide credit card information on hotel website to settle full pre-payment before guest check in I tried to contact hotel many times by resending mails to: embongmalang@reservation.amarishotel.com surabaya.embongmalang@amarishotel.com sales@surabaya.embongmalang.amarishotel.com & also ask for support on website, phone call & also subscribe form on hotel official website... I tried all the way to contact for prepayment from last Friday until now but still no any response from hotel! I speak to hotel staffs twice; they replied that they will response. I stayed here with family for 2 nights.. Compare to other city hotel the bedroom is quite comfortable, the location is great, great for business and also great for vacation and for those who travel for the city and all, its very close to everywhere!! Although the room was somehow noisy (because it's located in the main road) its pretty much okay.. But overall will be better if the wifi is stronger... Oh, and they have like varied menu for breakfast, wasn't that good but I guess its okay to start a day in Surabaya...

Great location for business, in the middle of the city. Great business hotel, free wifi and fast as well.. Surprisingly the breakfast quality is good. I do have complain for the coffee, definitely need a coffee machine or a new one at least. Overall, its a 2 star hotel, so expect 2 star. Amaris prove to be a great 2 star. Recomended for short business stay.

A good choice for a brief stay - not much in the way of character but clean, reliable rooms and good breakfast.

Nice hotel and clean and the location is really good, you can go to the mall by 5 minutes walking and there is place to eat eveywhere. One of the really recommend hotel while you are staying at surabaya area.

Amaris located almost in the center of Surabaya city, easy to access to main destination of the city. At night, a lot of variation of street food in front of the hotel, it is cheap and taste is average. However they needs to improve the variety of breakfast meals... Room was good and clean.. Happy traveling...

I stayed in Amaris for a couple times in Bandung and Jakarta, but I just found out that they have a king sized bedroom in Surabaya, they called it Smart Room Hollywood.. Just as the other Amaris, the bed and bathroom are OK, rooms are pretty clean, loved the stable WIFI, and the water dispenser.. ;) The minus are always the standard and no variety breakfast (I stayed for 3 days 2 night, breakfast menu are never change) and the narrow parking lot.. Overall, do remember that its a budget hotel.. Lower your expectation and you will enjoy your stay..

I stayed in Amaris Surabaya for attending my relative's wedding. The committee arranged the hotel. I did understand that Amaris has budget concept, so I wouldn't expect too much. 1. The location was terrible for finding any food around. 2. Staff greetings? No comment! 3. At 3pm I walked around and found no food station nearby, so I went back to the hotel and asked food for lunch. "Sorry Sir, we can only provide fried banana for you." I know this is Ramadhan, shouldn't there will be a main course? 4. I asked hairdryer to the front officer and he said, "Sorry, Sir, we only have 1 and another guest just picked it up." Okay.

Simple hotel, with good for working and its facilities and atmosphere to enjoy Arjuna and Malang city. Have short stay but nice to remain. Nice food. Very easy to transporting about business and away to Surabaya.....will back again when I have to do some works

we travel in group of 10 and we got 5 rooms. Room is clean, bright. Comfortable for 2 adults. Hotel is within 10minute walking distance to shopping mall and food street just around the corner. We only have a short stay in this hotel prior to next day flight.

This is bidget hotel so you do not expevct much about this hotel. The room is small, but the air conditioning is cool enough. The bathroom need more lamps. The breakfast is really poor. I think you should think twice if you want to stay here.

Staying 2 nights for business trip, location wise it is close to the Tunjungan Plaza Mall, only 10-15 minutes walk. The room has enough space, not too big not to small. Water bottles got refresh everyday. The minus about the hotel was the noise coming from other rooms and other people when walking because they don't use carpet. The internet was free and FAST!

I stayed 3 nights for business purpose. The Wi-Fi only good for the first day, after that I could not get any connection. I have reported the issue, but still can not use it until check out. The towels is not in good condition, the staff did not clean the room properly. Customer service is bad, no further communication with the problem occurs. I will not stay at this hotel any more.

lumayan, hanya pas saya menginap sepertinya ada acara sehingga restaurantnya tidak buka tapi tidak ada pemberitahuan terlebih dahulu. alhasil saya harus kluar hotel untuk beli makan.
