Bromley Court Hotel London

We had a beautiful room overlooking the garden (as "Guest of the Day" we had the delightful surprise of being given an upgraded room with a complimentary drink each). This was our second stay here and it did not disappoint. Tasteful, quality decoration, but not pretentious. We can really relax in this hotel and feel welcome. Breakfast was excellent again. all areas clean and well kept. There is a lovely atmosphere and all staff encountered were friendly and polite.

There really wasn't anything not to like. If I am going to be ultra picky, a couple of items from the hot breakfast buffet were just warm, but they were still tasty and totally edible.

Seems to have been recently reappointed. Very clean and well furnished. The room was very comfortable. Dinner was fine. Breakfast was excellent. Setting is very pleasant I shall certainly use it again when in the area.

Complete lack of soundproof rooms. You can literally hear how people snore next room, every single person walking in the corridor, music and loud voices in case of events/parties.

Very well presented and comfortable room. All staff interacted with couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating. Breakfast was superb - not the biggest selection I've ever seen, but it was high quality and plentiful. Good commitment to environmental responsibility.

Easy and plentiful (free) parking - a rarity these days!. Registered prior to arrival so was quickly signed into our room by polite and friendly Reception staff. Room spacious, very tidy and clean and well laid out. Air conditioning available, but not needed. Bathroom and bathroom facilities were excellent. Very comfortable bed - excellent bed linen, including a choice of pillows. Great breakfast - breakfast stafff keen and eager to help/please.

Schönes Hotel für eine Städtetour nach London. Der Bus nach Lewisham fährt fünf Minuten vom Hotel ab. Von dort kommt man prima mit der Bahn weiter. Die Zimmer waren OK, das Bad hatte alles, was benötigt wird. Die Auswahl zum Frühstück war sehr gut. Neben einer ordentlichen Auswahl vom Buffet konnte man auch noch etwas von der Karte bestellen. Der Parkplatz war groß und vor allem kostenlos.

I’m totally satisfied with my stay and had a wonderful experience. My only suggestion would be to offer seasonal discounts on room rates, which would encourage guests to return and stay more often.

We got guest of the day, picked at random, and got free room upgrade and complimentary drink. Larger room was great so we had a wonderful stay. Staff were very attentive, room was clean if a little dated.

The grounds, parking, location

Very strong musty smell in one of our rooms, bathrooms very cramped, had to request new keys nearly everytime we to enter our room. Took a hold on a credit card for use of the bar on check in. Tried to recharge for this on check out and didnt know a hold was taken. Staff weren't that friendly apart from the breakfast staff.

The bar and lounge staff were very friendly and helpful and very personable as I was traveling on my own and also the dining area and staff were lovely. Can’t complain at all about that. The housekeeping staff too lovely, very helpful and very accommodating room service also very good, but please look at what I was not satisfied with which was reception the staff there the manager and the fact that they wouldn’t refund my money. I’ve been trying now since April to get my money back from Booking.com and I share I still have not received it so I’m not happy bunny at all.🤬😡😞😔

The receptionist staff were very rude to me when I departed I stayed another day extra day onto my stay and I’ve done it through Booking.com and they said that I couldn’t do it that way although I’d be money have gone out of my account had to be done through reception, which is ridiculous cause I’ve already booked the original reservation through Booking.com anyway I never got my money back and so I shall never ever stay there again and eventually I did speak to the manager who again was extremely patronizing and obviously extremely unhelpful and not friendly considering he’s supposed to be setting an example for the rest of the staff disgraceful

Rooms and corridors are a bit worn and in need of renovation. Air conditioner was not very efficient.

The bedroom was very clean and tidy. Lovely shower and crisp white towels. I was I. Room 106, a small double enough room for myself but if 2 people were sharing it would have been a bit cramped

I thought the restaurant was very over priced and £15 for a glass of wine extortionate! The food was ok but not exceptional. Breakfast buffet was adequate. I did choose Poached eggs on an English muffin one morning. Please do not put the greenery between the egg and the muffin. It was totally overcooked and looked like wet grass! Unfortunately it made the muffin very wet and not really edible.

The hotel room was the tiniest shoe box i have ever stayed at. The facilities were outdated, the noise, banging of doors, personnel screaming in corridors, was a constant throughout my stay. The bar area, always full of weddings- i believe only source of income that makes this hotel survive, was unable to serve a beer in a proper condition. Ordered a beer that was stale, acidic and barrel probably out of date- disgusting. The hotel also bombards you with whatsapps, asking for money for check ins out of hours, check outs out of hours, and the pushy approach and responses received were clearly not customer orientated. I would avoid this hotel at ALL COST! Plenty of better option sin the surrounding Bromley which i will choose going forward.

Not so keen on the decor, breakfast a little disappointing

From when we checked in at reception to when we checked out, all the staff were very welcoming, polite, helpful, especially in the bar. The room was very comfortable, the bathroom was very modern, a great shower, the bed was extremely comfortable, a choice of soft and firm pillows. The carpet was very soft to walk on, it was a real treat to stay there.

Small basic rooms with tiny bathroom. No fridge in the room. Silver light plates and switch’s covered in finger marks. Marks on the back of the door. Comers of room not recently vacuumed. Pitifully air conditioner in room. It would be totally useless if we were experiencing the heatwaves we have been having recently . Only one set of towels in the room on arrival. We had to phone reception to ask for another set. The second day they didn’t provide any wash clothes. No ambience in the dining room. Bare walls only. Asked for air con to be turned down as the temperature did not.warrant it being on so high. But it was turned back up during our meal. Furniture throughout the public areas needs updating. Stained chairs seats in the bar area and brown liquid coming out of/ thrown at the air vent needs to be cleaned off. Awkward location of some of the hot food at breakfast time. Lack of pastry choices. Hotel uses WhatsApp to communicate chargeable offers to us but doesn’t come back to you when you use WhatsApp to ask questions, even though they say they are looking into it and will get back to you.

Very traditional and stylish hotel. Very comfortable bed. Staff excellent, polite and welcoming.

Noise from outside. We were 2nd floor overlooking car park and reception. Bathroom window should have had a blind or curtain to block out the sun as it was extremely hot with the sun streaming in through the window most of the day.

The garden, and the breakfast was very nice.

The evening meal in the restaurant was absolutely awful! Everything was cold, not cooked well..... we did not pay. The lovely restaurant manager sent us sandwiches to our room to apologise. Seriously it was so bad.... Also, young inexperienced staff .

A nice looking hotel,nice staff, good food...all spolied by the air con issues.

All the good spoilt by them using old noisy air con units that they dont maintain. They instead put stickers on the control panels saying 'dont put electrical items on the desk' under the unit as they 'contain water and can leak' then they put a lamp and 2 sockets in the 'danger area'. I had to change rooms late on the 1st night, leaking air con, soaking table and floor and splashing on my case and clothes on the chair. Night 2 air con noisy and kept turning itself off....2 nights of no sleep, night 3 I checked out and travelled home early. The least I expect is a 'dry room' and a quiet nights sleep. I was told management would be in contact but they havent been. The sticker 'covers' them, but I am a surveyor who knows about air con. These units only leak to this extent when they arent maintained and have blocked lines, dirty drip trays etc. I travel all over the world and the UK for work and have never seen anything like it. I was working away and exhausted by night time, an horrendous experience.

The place is extremely clean, the staff is courteous and helpful, and breakfast is excellent. The staff members in the restaurant were exceptionally helpful and friendly. This is my second extended stay at this hotel, and I plan to stay here next year. Everything went well. I will definitely recommend Bromley Hotel as a place to stay when you are in London.

The room was clean and well kept, due to the heatwave the room was very hot and the AC not great.

The heat in the room an additional fan would have helped. It was too stuffy.

The air-conditioning unit that started leaking water and we had to be changed rooms. The woman on the breakfast buffet who refused to let me order 2 slices of toast for my son who has autism and only eats certain foods and I was willing to pay ,and was told I could pay for breakfast, she continued to go back and forth with me, not very professional

Location

I booked 2 rooms for my nieces visiting from lincoln and the air con didn't work and we reported this and made no difference. One of the rooms we took the cover off the duvet to use as a sheet only to find it had blood like stains on it. In the the same room we tried to use the iron and it blew up.

Great location at a very good price, especially as it is in London. We booked deluxe double room which is a great size. Very clean room with comfortable bed and choice of soft and hard pillows.

Lovely grounds and restaurant

Checked in on the day getting married at the venue and they wouldn’t tell me if I could have early check in to get ready in the room. It was boiling and the AC was broken in the room, then they had test fire alarms going off without telling anyone. The view was only of the roof even paying for one of the best rooms.

It was attractively decorated and laid out, lovely gardens, free parking, clean and comfortable.

Each room has a fire door (great), but they slam shut with a bang and can be difficult to open. We had someone going in and out of their room in the night which was disruptive.

Breakfast was fine. Location suited us.

Door to our rooms could isolate much more noise from the corridor area (I've heard everything that was going on there). AC in the room requires change (They have some old module leaking water; which is most annoying when it's right over the desk).

We had a comfortable, quiet room. It was very clean and there was a good choice of food for breakfast. After our evening meal we walked round the very pleasant garden which was surprising considering the hotel is in a suburb of London.

The room was described as 'cosy' so we were expecting something very small. In fact it was bigger than we anticipated and was perfectly adequate for our needs,

A kettle and tea/coffee would have been nice and a small fridge but given the price we paid it was not a complaint.

the location was good, the breakfast was really lovely in quite a grand room. The receptionist, was a lovely lady who helped acomodate a room change when I was above what seemed to be a prom/leavers do.

The fitness center had 2 treadmills that didn't work but a cross trainer that did. Other than that everything was good.

Very grubby, tables dirty, leisure centre dirty. Wedding going on so no dining room . Told to have dinner in what looked like largish bedroom. Outside area unavailable due to wedding. Few tables that were available to use outside were again dirty these were available in small courtyard which needed good sort out. Air con unit in bedroom dirty. Bar area grubby. Even wine glasses were dirty. Chose hotel for the gardens due to extreme heat. Were not told they would be out of bounds. Noisy as over wedding party.
