This is a super little Inn. The rooms have been well thought out, comfy beds, good water pressure in the shower and smart tv. The Holy Trinity! 🙏🏻 The balcony rooms are especially good with glorious views over the common. A scene that hasn’t changed for hundreds of years. Really quite special this close to London. Sun drenched during the day and a delicious spookiness about it at night. Staff are excellent, particularly Angela who appears to be everywhere from cooking the breakfast to checking guests in and just about everything in between. I thought she must have an identical twin sister! My only misgiving would be the pillows which do let the side down somewhat... …also a mini fridge in the room would be nice :)

Great location , great staff, excellent breakfast

Sadly the rooms are quite dark with small windows and this was in an upgraded room. This would have been ok but the room was so hot and this was on a mild day. Nowadays rooms really need to have air conditioning or at the very least ceiling fans. The windows were very small and locked so could not open them very far which I appreciate is for H & S.

Very Friendly staff and accommodating, spotlessly clean, Great food. Very nice location for walks and nearby row of restaurant shops.

Did have Dyson fan, but Maybe could do with aircon when hot In bedroom. that’s all- otherwise excellent

Loved the vibe courteous staff and nothing too much trouble. The owner must be so proud of his team Lovely appointed room and perfect although a little bit of maintenance needed in he bathroom as sink slow to drain and some peeling paint but still everything was well thought out for the guest. Definately stay again. The food in the restaurant lovely and the breakfast outstanding.

Address smell when in room corridor and address the maintenance issues.

The rooms were quaint and well furnished, location was great with ample parking. Staff were really lovely, Dyson fan and air con unit a bonus. Had dinner and breakfast here and it was really good quality and amazing service

Bed was on the harder side, and the noise from the outside fans/vents were a little loud

Great location for where I needed to be. Very good sized room and bathroom. Loved the balcony. Room is above a busy pub but I didnt hear any noise. Breakfasts were delicious. Bed was very comfy and walk in shower had great pressure.

Could have done with a mini fridge but that's just my personal preference. Fresh milk was provided for tea and coffee but it was warm. Not enough lighting in main room.

Excellent Welcome & taken to our room which was lovely & cool. Staff were very helpful with a great service behind the bar. Evening food was also enjoyable & breakfast which was included was excellent. We will be back.

We had our evening meal in the garden was slow removing after we had eaten. We had to move them away from the table due to 🪰 🪰

Breakfast was excellent but the toast was served on the plate with the fried egg, bacon etc so was greasy and no butter or marmalade was provided but could not have used either beecause of the greasy toast. I did not understand that!!

The staff were so welcoming, as a lone female traveller I felt very at ease. The room was fabulous, the food perfect and the bed comfortable. I'm glad they are now starting breakfast from 8am as it now works for business travelling

Odd smell in the bathroom and basin seemed blocked. Breakfast choice limited to one item. Did not include fruit or cereal before cooked breakfast which seemed very unusual, especially as quite expensive.

The breakfast only starts from 8am which is too late for me as I needed to leave then for work. There were noisy generators outside my window but which would turn off and on regularly and effected my sleep

Sehr stilvoll gestaltete Einrichtung der Zimmer (wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 10 Freuden dort und hatten insgesamt 5 Doppelzimmer), das Zimmer mit Balkon und freistehender Badewanne ist besonders toll, aber Achtung: Fußbegrenzung am Bettende ist schwierig für Personen mit 2 Meter Körpergröße, dann lieber die anderen, auch sehr schönen Zimmer wie meins hier auf den Fotos nehmen. Sehr freundlliches Personal und das Frühstück à la carte (kein Buffet) war prima. Im Pub unten kann man auch leckere Snacks oder Dinner essen und der Sommergarten ist sehr schön um draußen zu sitzen.

Die mobile Klimanalage / AC musste mit Schläuchen durch geöffnete Fenster laufen und war ziemlich laut - das kann nachts echt störend sein. Wenn es nicht so heiß ist, wie bei unserem Aufenthalt mit über 30 Grad, aber wohl kein Problem.

Food, staff and room all good and everywhere very clean. Portable air con in the room as well as 2 Dyson blade fans. As it was sunny I sat in the beer garden for a couple of hours and enjoyed some of the different beers on offer. Full 5G signal on my phone as well which is always a bonus so didn't need to use the free wifi.

parking. Literally 4 spaces in a very small car park. I was lucky enough to arrive with one space free but it is very tight. On street parking is available but the line of parked cars stretched as far as I could see so it would have been a long walk to find somewhere to park.

Such a lovely stay in this gem of a place. Excellent, leafy location. Parking. Very comfortable beds, lovely shower. Aircon unit provided which was so welcome in the extreme heat of our stay (9th July 2026). Lovely staff, particularly the delightful Polish woman who served us our delicious dinner and wine in the beautiful outside area. The breakfast was excellent (apart from strangely hard muffin, which was quickly replaced with toast). Would definitely stay again.

Lovely location and very nice decor.

The room had an issue with the electricity tripping, they obviously were aware and reset it very quickly, sometime during the night the electricity tripped again so we had no power for coffee, hairdryer or to charge our now flat phones. The manager was very apologetic and gave us another room with minimal fuss. He gave us a refund for the first night. Which was very generous. However we felt the second room , as well as the first room was a bit grubby with cobwebs lurking in the corner. The lady at breakfast on both days really could improve with an extensive course in customer care! Other than this lady at breakfast and the dodgy electrics it was a pleasant enough stay.

Freundlicher Empfang und saubere, gut ausgestattete Zimmer; der Preis erscheint jedoch eher hoch, da das Hotel ausser dem angeschlossenen Pub nur wenige zusätzliche Angebote oder Mehrwerte für die Gäste bietet.

Zimmer ohne Klimaanlage und ein aus unserer Sicht unzureichendes Frühstückskonzept ohne Buffet. Für jede Kleinigkeit, selbst für ein zusätzliches Glas Orangensaft oder etwas Brot, musste jeweils der Kellner angefragt werden. Bei den aufgerufenen Preisen entspricht dies nicht unseren Erwartungen. Zudem hatten wir nach mehreren Nachbestellungen den Eindruck, nicht mehr gleich aufmerksam und freundlich bedient zu werden wie zu Beginn.

Lovely hotel!

Staff both on arrival and at breakfast wonderful and helpful. Room had been prepared with a air conditioning unit as 28 Celsius and really comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic . will definitely be back .

It is a beautiful pub and the room we had was fabulous. The staff were friendly and breakfast was delicious.

Unfortunately, despite the staff putting fans in our room, we stayed on a very hot night and struggled to sleep easily. Also, it was a surprise that the bar was shut when we returned at 10:30.

We attended an evening event. The room with a view was lovely. Breakfast was absolutely delicious.

Room was really lovely, well decorated & comfortable. Provided with an air con that was really compact and good! Exactly what was needed! Powerful water pressure too!

Parking was slightly difficult due to the physical car park/space however some people opted for the road - we arrived on a Saturday evening as the football started so the road wasnt the easiest option then.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff, modern, spacious, clean and bright rooms (the Nespresso machine was a real bonus!), great location, the pub food was good, overall our experience was great!

While the full English breakfast was good, we found the standard of the lunch and dinner food slightly superior.

I was a little disappointed with the food, both dinner and breakfast, what was advertised as sourdough was served as plain white sliced bread at dinner and breakfast.

Lovely pub/boutique hotel. We stayed for one night and it was great! Breakfast was especially yummy. TV, Hair dryer,Iron, all available to use. TV had Netflix / other smart apps which was great. Pub closed at 11 so wasn't loud to sleep in at all, could only hear some people moving around in the morning as the floors a little creaky - expected in a pub-esque building. Parking was fine, we managed to just park on the on-street parking outside the pub. Just to note - there is no official hotel parking, just on-road which is fine, its a quiet lane anyways. Pretty good experience all round. Ps. the bathrooms are beautiful!

This is very picky, but the pillows were a bit too firm, but honestly that is being very picky. The parking was a challenge too!

We enjoyed our two night stay very much. Our evening meal in the restaurant was lovely, choosing from what we considered to be a creative but still widely appealing menu. Equally, we enjoyed the cooked-to-order breakfasts. Our room was cosy and comfortable and everything worked. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful and we would have no hesitation in staying at the Crown Inn again.

We were very pleased with the position of the hotel. It was handy for our family.. it was also handy for several eating opportunities as well as the hotel itself. Our room was lovely. My only criticism of the whole day is that the room facilities could have flowed a little better but apart from that it was a great day thank you and the breakfast was exceptional.

The flow of our room was not the easiest for example the area allocated to drying your hair was quite cramped and blocked the access to the balcony doors.

The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. The shower was awesome.

Lovely large room with a real 'coaching inn' feel. Delicious Sunday roast even though I arrived right at the end of service. Staff were lovely and welcoming.

It's an old property so it's (literally) a bit creaky with uneven floors and single glazing. I loved the vibe but if you're more into modern minimalism this might not be for you. Breakfast service didn't start till 8.00 which was too late for me - business trip and had to get to meetings.

Staff were great, we had dinner which was also very good, our room was good and we Had everything we needed, we had to leave at 8am and was unable to stop for breakfast which was unfortunate as breakfast doesn’t start til 8am, we were offer something to take away but just didn’t have time,

The bed was a little dated as we seemed to end up in the middle where the two single bed meet, but this was not to much of a problem still had a good nights sleep We do keep to a budget of £100 with breakfast, price to stay at Crown is normally higher but for the night we stayed it was on an offer of £108

The restaurant was a little noisy - but it was Friday night. They also needed to replenish the tea tray in the room with milk and breakfast tea.

The member doing check in (and manning the bar) was excellent. We had booked a twin room but we’re given a King. He sorted it very quickly. Parking was awful and misleading on the website as there were only 4 spaces and the road outside was chaos with an event at the nearby school.

Beautifully furnished pub in the heart of Chislehurst. Have not been here for over 14 years as moved away but had good fortune to stay here and the room was gorgeous with roll top bath and a pretty room . Breakfast was fantastic and we loved everything. Thank you
