First Canada Inn Cornwall

Some of the towels were stained. The door has not been cleaned for a long time. The furniture were old. The staff were not helpful in rescheduling the trip without paying a fine.

Nice, little motel for the budget. Our room had been updated, except the bathroom. (Which was fine) Staff were very nice and accommodating

This time we stayed there we were on an inside room on the hallway and we woke up at 3 am and 4 am by people arguing in the hallway. Last time we were there we were in an outside room and it was quiet. Other than that it was fine and affordable.

Convenient location, easy to find. There was an Italian restaurant beside the property that was excellent. Check in was frustrating. The lady was on her cell phone the entire time talking to a friend or family. She didn't acknowledge me other than to ask for my drivers license which she threw back at me when I asked her to get off the phone. The room didn't feel clean, very musty. For a king sized bed, there were 2 tiny, lumpy pillows. The people in the next room were outside talking until after 4 am. It was a place to lay our head for the night. I would not stay there again.

He even insulted me and made me feel unsafe. I was left carrying my heavy bag alone and couldn’t arrange a ride because I had no internet. This was unacceptable treatment, and I do not recommend staying here.”

The outside dose not look very inviting. However we were pleasantly surprised, the room was huge and had every thing we needed.

Conveniently located

They need to pay more attention to detail in cleaning the room and to fix damages in the property. Unfortunately I don’t think we will stay there again. So sad because the property have a lot of potential

Just a couple night away......bed was good, linen clean but in need of replacing. It was quite.

We have stayed there a few times before and knew what to expect, it’s ok, budget oriented but getting more expensive. We will have to consider if we will stay there again.

This motel has been nicely renovated and was in a good price range for the area and time that I stayed in Cornwall. I have stayed here before many times while on business in Cornwall and I will stay here again.

I was offered nothing like what i was supposed to get the owner did everything the government laws tell him to go like try to make it right this place is old and dirty and very unclean very unclean i will be calling the heath board on the hotel on monday even tho i am on holidays and will be enjoying crab in PEI i will spend the time to try stop this horrible place from taking peoples money we left and got a room up the road and there obviously well known as a dump Very dissatisfied with expedia

When I booked the King Spa room, I wanted a nice relaxing and romantic stay for my wife and I. Checking in was fine. However, when we went into the room I could see it was not cleaned properly. First, I could not find the ice bucket. It turned up in the fridge. Secondly, my wife checked the sheets and there were long black hairs as well as pubic hair on thd sheet. We had the front desk staff change the sheets. When we looked in the side table searching for extra pillows, we found a bag of sex toys with aboit 10 dildos and other things!! Never staying there again!!!

not a bad hotel but boy do they need to upgrade their pillow something with body not the 3/4in pieces of foam

I drove from Toronto to Cornwall and I was dead tired. I received a warm reception at First Canada Inns. Could not have been better. Quick check-in. Friendly. The guy really made me feel welcome. My room was ready for me. King bed, chair, sofa, desk, fireplace, fridge for my beer, WIFI, big screen TV for the hockey game… the whole nine yards. btw…Easy access from the highway too. Quiet and pleasant surroundings. Close to amenities in Cornwall. Way comfortable. Way relaxing. Way clean. A good night’s sleep. I’ll be back.

The room was nice and large. The beds were comfortable. Price was great. The place was clean however the bedding and towels need replacing because of discoloration and stains.

The hotel is a nice little place. Great for a quick stay. Cleanliness is a concern to me, see pictures. There was a lot of dirt i. The chair under and around the seat. Baseboards are very dusty and when I opened the closet a piece of wood fell. Overall it was much nicer than I expected just wish it was more upkept.

The tub seemed a little gross. Tv speakers were all crackling was hard to watch anything.

Staff was very friendly and made excellent restaurant suggestions. Many restaurants in walking distance.

The room was very nice! Big comfy bed very nice jacuzzi tub. The fireplace was out of order and should be fixed. That would add a better ambience. There was some left over wax on the bed frame but other then that great room!

As always the staff were very nice, pleasant greeting and a smile. The hotel was warm when I walked in and very clean. I recommend a stay with them. As always very happy.

Place was filthy from the floors, walls and bedding. Beyond terrible. We could not stay and left immediately. We will NEVER use Expedia again!!!

Missing Smoke Alarm! Missing Microwave turntable. Fridge needed defrosting. Walls, doors and switches were disgustingly dirty! Unwrapped paper cups in room. Bed was ok. Bathroom was acceptable at best.

This place is a dump and I did not stay there

Very dirty! For the price you pay i don’t expect much but the level of cleanliness was terrible. Floors were dirty, there was a used bar of soap in the shower… and there were no towels provided.

Bed was comfortable, shower was strong with lots of hot water. Room needs painting and repairs done correctly.!Fireplace did not work and towels were very thin.

Overall clean basic room, quiet. Good price.

The location was convenient for my travel plans. The female owner should listen to what people are saying, instead of being ready to argue her point. I will not stay here again. I travel twice a year to Cornwall.

The check in staff was not friendly. I stayed for two nights and they didn’t refresh towels or do any housekeeping. They asked me to bring dirty towels to them at the front desk before they would give me clean ones. The shower had issues and was in need of repair. In room heating vent was dirty.

The stay in the first canada Inn was excelent The staff were very helpful and friendly the room was very clean and spacious and had every thing we needed to make our stay enjoyable >we would come back and stat her again and will tell friends all about it

The fridge in room 107 is not working, you can hear the compressor start but it's not cooling the fridge, we had to buy a bag of ice so we wont loose our food.

This was our second stay here. The first was ok but this time the room was not cleaned very well and there was garbage in the nightstand drawer. The coffee machine wasn’t cleaned very well either with residual coffee in the pot from the previous occupants and no coffee cups or water glasses.

A simple greeting like, "Hello, how are you doing today?" Something like that will go a very long way when you first meet customers!!

Giving this an average rating above poor due to large sized room with wet bar area; comfortable bed and good shower. Bathroom in particular was very dirty and needs a paint job. Needs TLC.

We were pleasantly surprised with this motel. It was an older place but quite well kept.

This property has taken a turn for the worst since there are new owners. The check in guy was very combative when I questioned why I'm being charged a $100 deposit, even though I've been a customer there since 2021. There are bugs and spiders all over the covered porch. The paint is chipped , the walls are dented, the fridge is missing shelves, the cupboards are empty, yet there's a kitchen set up. The spare blanket was unfolded, quite sketchy. The bathroom walls were stained, the toilet does not flush fully on the first try. It used to be a great place, I will go elsewhere in town next time.

Overall clean, and everything worked. There's three extra rooms right next to reception so parking is a little weird - not parking spot per door like most motels. Rating kind of low because of the noise. There was arguing coming from behind the wall past 11pm. I'd say it's just thin walls, but the wall bordered the check in room lol

The rooms need to update tvs and programming the pillows needs updating and bathroom towel rack needed to be put on wall The showers was awesome and the lady that booked us in was quite pleasant

Cheap, nothing fancy, frige not effective

This hotel was extremely dirty. Dirty walls, mildew coating shower curtain, stained sheets and comforter. I asked them to change the sheets. Musty and dusty smell to the room. I think it used to be a smoking room. The furnishings and bed are old, the beds are not comfortable, bathroom was lacking enough towel hanging hardware. Even the toilet seat in our room was too big for the toilet itself. Would never stay here again.

Location was good. Had issue with water not draining out of the bathroom sink. Asked for assistance and was told "you can use the plunger right there". So had to fix the sink myself. Other than that beds were comfortable.

Our stay was very nice. The host was very pleasant. The room was older & a little worn but other than that it was very spacious & clean & the king size bed was quite comfortable.

I had booked 2 rooms and asked they be beside each other. Upon arrival, found they were at opposite ends of the strip of rooms and clerk offered no apology or explanantion.....just too bad!

was dirty. Tub and toilet had dirt rings. Sink had loose fittings hard to get the cold water on.Had to ask for towels.

Wasn’t the worst place l have stayed. Definitely not the best. But for a one night driving break to Quebec it was fine.
