Best Western Plus Okotoks Inn & Suites

We stay at this BW quite regularly, but it has gone down hill so much we wont be back. Currently Jan/2026 we have been here for 3 days, the front sliding door has been broken the entire time so guests have to force it open to enter. There has not been any snow removal out side since we arrived. The kitchen is shut down so the breakfast which this location is usually pretty cheap on anyways is even cheaper. In a room for 2 people we have 1 bath towel, no clock, no pen and paper. There is also a very loud motor sound from the hallway ceiling just outside our room. While trying to discuss this downward trend with a hotel staff member she just smirked. This was the same staff woman that was running and playing some kind of game with kids as they screamed through the hall. It should be called "Harry's Motor Lodge" as it does not deserve the name Best Western.

Wonderful experience at best western okokatoks alberta. This hotel is clean and was decorated so beautiful for Christmas an.amazing effort to create a warm inviting Christmas feel. The staff was wonderful so friendly and accommodating.. I was helped by Jun and mairi And they really made our experience 100% They have coffee tea available and ready for you . They are breakfast option and serve you with a smile. Very comfortable setting in this hotel. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. I will be booking again for sure and I highly recommend this hotel to others you will not be disappointed.

This was a wonderful stopover on our way to the U. S. for a short getaway. We didn’t want to be driving for 10-12 hours straight through, so broke up the drive from Edmonton to Idaho by staying in Okotoks overnight.

Clean room with early check-in , morning breakfast very good.

Hot tub closed ... house keeping didn't get to our room unfortunately

The mattress needs to be replaced as it's not a soft cloud that I'm used to

Overall a great location and the suites are nice and well maintained. On the downside, check in is at 4:00 and only one person was at the desk when we checked in around 4:30. When we left the hotel around 5:30 other guests were waiting to be checked in. It’s not inexpensive to stay here so first impression was not good. The gentleman that checked me in was very professional and apologized for the long wait time. I had previously checked in on line. My wife waited at the car while I was checking in and when I returned she said she was concerned something was wrong. As well, I was assured the room we were assigned had a walk in shower. It was a tub shower. The area where the microwave, fridge, coffee maker is located does not have any lighting. Why? These are minor inconveniences but when you pay a premium, you expect as advertised. I hope these observations are accepted as helpful hints. You asked.

The fan was on all night I also called front desk 2 times to get a extra blanket and no answer . Then when i hung up the phone kept rining and no one on the other end . I checked out a day early .

Parking was fairly full as we arrived quite late. To be expected so no problem with that.

The bed had stains on the bedding when we arrived. It was evident under the pillows that this was not changed. Breakfast was decent. They give you voucher on check in The rooms and facility was over priced for a best western plus. I could not see anything "plus " about this hotel. I had better experience with other best western plus locations. I would not go here again if not last resort.

Room was very nice and very generous in size. Lighting in bathroom was awful.

I enjoyed the location of the hotel. The breakfasts were good and the breakfast staff was wonderful! The reception staff was very pleasant and welcoming. My room was located near the ice machine, which was quite loud through the night, releasing ice with a very loud crashing sound. My stay was from a Sunday to a Friday. There was a sign at the front desk stating that housekeeping would be every 2 days, which was fine. As I was leaving early every morning and not returning until quite late in the evening each day, I expected the room to be cleaned as indicated, but arrived home each night with the room having not been cleaned. After the second night I had to flag down a housekeeper in the hall for fresh towels. I finally had to mention to the front desk on Wednesday evening that my room had not been cleaned at all since I had arrived. The front desk staff brought towels to my room that night and promised that my room would be cleaned the next day, Thursday. When i arrived back at the hotel on Thursday night, the room had finally been cleaned. It is not that I am a messy guest - but fresh towels, clean bedding and emptying the garbages on the promised days was expected. Other than that - I was fine with staying at this location due to the convenience of where it was.

Room was clean. Swimming pool was great. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Would definately recommend staying here

It’s the only game in Okotoks so we really don’t have much of a choice but to stay here. We spent 6 nights in a king room with kitchenette without any major problems. The room was large, we were able to control the temp to our liking and it was very dark when the shades were drawn. The bathroom is a little tight, housekeeping is every other day but you can ask for what you need. I would prefer higher wattage light bulbs, the room was extremely dim even when all the lights were turned on. Is it clean? Don’t know, too dim to tell. I asked for a late checkout of 1pm and was told there would be a charge for that, I’d understand if the hotel was sold out and they needed to turn over the rooms but there were less than 10 cars in the parking lot. They did offer me free until noon??? 1 more hour would have killed them? This is the type of decision that kills the desire for brand loyalty, Marriott/Hilton brands need to come to town.

Nice rooms and friendly staff

Only one towel set in the room booked for two people. Room was right outside the elevator so very noisy, property was not busy on a Tuesday night. Pillows were obnoxiously large horrible sleep. Forgot an item in room at check out was not allowed to go back into check, had to be a room cleaner? Not helpful at all. Would not stay again for that price. Disappointed overall

Loved suite #411, lots of space to entertain and spread out! The pool was great for all the kids. If I'm ever back in Okotoks would definitely book with you again.

All was excellent. The supper restaurant is a nice added feature from my previous stay. The hours of operation are not publicly available, potential diners must ask. It will be nice if more days that it is available will be added. Best comp breakfast I have had anywhere.

Breakfast was the best of wny places we have stsyed so far jncluding other Best Western facilities. Pool, hot tub and water slides were great for family fun!

This was an awesome stay. It was our last night on our move from California to Edmonton and it was a perfect way to end. Dog friendly is our biggest concern as well as affordable. This was both. It was clean and comfy. Morning breakfast was good as well.

Our stay was great. There’s a lot of construction going on around the hotel but it was quiet for sleeping. Staff were friendly. Decent complimentary breakfast. The property seemed new and clean. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Highly recommend

hotel messed up my reservation. reservation was made 3 months in advance but they did not give me the accessible room i reserved. officer in charge angela cote was not responsive to my complain even though i emailed her about the problem and gave her my phone number to reach out to me and explain at least. inefficient director of operation.

Great location, Easy to get too

Wi-Fi was not available in our room for most of our stay, and when we inquired at the front desk they gave us the phone number for their ISP and told us to call ourselves. The number was not in service. The room was clean and the beds were reasonably comfortable. We did not use the pool because someone threw up in it and it closed partway through our stay. They closed it for maintenance and reopened it within a few days, but I was not satisfied that it had been properly cleaned. The breakfast was not worth eating. However, it is easy to get food delivery service to the hotel if you need it.

We stayed here while passing through the Calgary area. The building appears to be new. The room and amenities were great, as was the breakfast.

This location had excellent staff, a hearty breakfast, and great room features. Could have been a little cleaner and definitely needed firmer mattresses. All in all we had a lovely stay.

The staff was friendly but not knowledgeable about their city when we asked about local amenities. The complimentary breakfast was limited, unappetizing and because of the water quality the tea and coffee unpalatable. There was no makeup mirror in the bathroom and a miserly amount of towels.

They have multiple teams staying in their hotel and booked our family right in the middle of all of them. They had no control over the noise level or conduct of their guests.

This property was able to contact me to cancel my reservation (for July, made in April), but could not find it in themselves to contact me to resolve a problem with my credit card. I was the victim of a fraud and got an updated #, but they accused ME of being a fraud and cancelled my family's room. We paid $ *** for two nights when we did get there. The room had 3 towels for 4 people for two nights, one tiny shampoo etc for the 4 of us. The pool is freezing cold and the hot tub is luke-warm at best. Despite paying full hotel rates, there is only house-keeping every second day. This is very poor value. Stay elsewhere.

The staff were excellent, kids loved the waterslide and the restaurant was great.

The beds, the pillows, the good cold water, the no wait hot water, those shower doors and the breakfast. Just the best stay. How do I get those pillow and mattress at my home?

The food was mediocre but was nice to have it there. The suite we had we paid extra for The kitchenette and the fridge wasn't working. The shower knob was not that great. The water pressure was horrible in the door which the bathroom was a bit broken. We had some stains on the bed and it was not nice view. However, it was good cuz it was a quiet town is in a really nice neighborhood. You have stuff right across the street from you if you ever need food or something real quick. The Pool was great, especially on rainy days and staff was nice.

This is a good hotel. There are a few things that need to be fixed. Wobbly coffee table, noisy A/C fan.

Pull out bed was very uncomfortable and the pool area was dirty. Breakfast was good, room was clean and spacious, nice to have fridge and microwave. Check in and out was seamless.

Bar service closed early by 8 pm. No body shower wash. No shower caps . Rough towels. Break fast limited variety. Housekeeping came in made bed but didn’t clear cups etc used from night before. Was suppose to have a king size suite. Wasn’t given one. Won’t go back ! One and done.

It was alright, the room was clean. They had two elevators, one of which the 4th floor button did not work. We stayed on the 4th floor making it a challenge.

Quiet and comfortable. Breakfast selection was decent. The evening “restaurant” idea needs to be developed at little more. Staff are friendly. We have stayed here a few times now and will likely stay again on our next trip to Okotoks.

Best place to stay in Okotoks

I was billed for both my 2 night booking and the cancelled 1 night booking, plus a later unknown reason billing for $200.00. The Hotel blamed Expedia, but both the $204.50 billing for the canceled booking but at check in another $200.00 was billed showing on my Visa bill as from the hotel. I also was billed by Expedia for $408.26. The hotel claimed that the Hotel listed billings were actually Expedia and not their problem.

Service was friendly and helpful. Room was quite spacious and clean. Hotel is newer. But not enough lighting in some areas and water only lukewarm in shower.

Nice place

The staff at check in made us pay even after presenting proud of payment. Then when we got to our room he put us in the wrong room type. The Expedia staff were great helping us sort this out and get us a refund.

Great for groups

This was a nice stopover before heading down to the States and made our drive more relaxing. The weather forecast for South Western Alberta was not great with blizzard conditions expected. We decided to stopover in Okotoks to make the drive shorter the next day. It was a good call and we had no regrets.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hot tub, pool, and waterslide elevated my trip. It was fun for me and my partner.
