Lakeview Inns & Suites - Okotoks

I stayed with this hotel approx 6 months ago. The hotel has gone up in price substantially, the hotel smells like pine sol cleaner upon entering, the breakfast was NOT nearly the quality of 6 months ago. Very disappointing. Will not stay with this hotel in Okotoks again.

Location and design of the hotel. It’s older but comfortable.

It’s dated and toilets are too low. No way to get off them easily. Counter too far away. Front door is accessible but you can’t get through the fire door. Accessible room only has one bed and many caregivers who travel with one who is disabled need own bed. Really needs upgrades to be more accessible. I enjoyed the breakfast.

The cleanliness and overall care of the property is seriously lacking. Entry doors and windows were dirty and full of fingerprints, all windows were dirty. In the lobby ceiling beams were covered in thick dust. Carpets, wall coverings are all worn and dirty. In the room itself, everything is dated. TV screens & picture fronts are all streaky. Doors covered with dirty fingerprints. In the bathroom the tub was worn out as were wall tiles. The hideaway bed was extremely uncomfortable!! The hotel needs serious renovations!!! The outside grounds were very unkempt. The hotel has potential but it needs work done to it. For the price that is charged per night, the facilities do not reflect the standard of cleanliness or maintenance that equals the cost.

The feces in our room. Not clean bathroom. Moved rooms, no toilet pressure. Public washroom full of plugged toilets. Our room bed lighting was broken. No discounted rates even with unsanitary conditions.

Breakfast was the only good part

Cleanliness was certainly lacking. Entering hotel property was very disappointing. Overflowing garbage bins..outside maintenance and lawn care was non existent…housekeeping was not available on both days I stayed. How does a hotel this size not have housecleaning? There are way cleaner maintained hotels than this one. Price certainly does not reflect the condition of this hotel

Quite dated and a bit dirty looking. I found bed a bit uncomfortable and the shower was terrible.

It was close to the family. Food was decent. Clean.

This Inn does NOT have a pool. I booked specifically for the pool! I was really mad after travelling 4.5 hours to find this out. The staff were really good but your selling technique pissed me off!

The charm and location of the building.

Shower head has lime deposits and toilet is flushing slowly. A McDonalds coffee cup is being used to portion waffle batter. Dusty lobby top area, you can see from the second floor breakfast area. Utensils are cheap quality like from dollar store.

The room (in Okotoks Alberta) was clean but very dated, it was priced too high for what it was so I would give the value about a 2, the ladies ahead of us took all the bacon so asked for more to be made "said ya but it will take awhile??" What bacon I saw way almost burnt, extremely over cooked. Not anything to eat really very very limited. I could barely understand the Ukrainian at the from desk. Location was about the only thing going for it!

Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean and best were super comfortable.

Room was not worth the money we paid. For a suite it was extremely small, the bathroom was really small and the whole vibe was “old”.

Samantha was fantastic and very helpful throughout our stay. The complimentary breakfast was great, and the room was spacious and comfortable. Loved the location, central to everything. Very affordable and will be back!

Main lobby

Terrible beds very old, bouncy and squeaky. Poor pillows. No neck support. Only 2 towels in a room for 4 when asked at front desk they didn't have any available until house keeping came in which was 1 h after we needed them. Hotel needs to be updated. Very old motel feel. Shower was not hot. Continental breakfast was lacking.

Booked as a group for our kids' tournament. Booking was for a Friday- Sunday. Found out the Wednesday before the tournament that it was cancelled due to weather. Contacted the hotel that day to cancel our rooms, nearly 48 hours before check in. Cancellation policy stated we must cancel 24hrs prior to check in. The hotel is still charging us for one night's stay for every room booked. Have never dealt with a more difficult manager in all my years of travelling for sports.

The fitness room was fine.

We advised the front desk when checking out of the issues we had with the plumbing. Shortly after we checked in we advised the staff of issues we noticed and they didn't change us to another room. We were told that the owner would get in contact with us but never received any phone call or email. Very disappointed by their management.

Location, liked our room was facing the peaceful back and on first floor so handy to take our small dogs outside, clean and neat, loved the deep bathtub.

We didn’t like the $30 plus tax per night per dog not mentioned when booking for our yorkie and chihuahua but had no problem with the $100 hold in case of damages.

We were very impressed with the quality of the hotel given the price. It was excellent value for money. The room was spacious with a separate sitting area, I’m not sure if that was an upgrade or all rooms like that. Check in was super easy, staff were friendly, It had been snowing but we were able to unload our luggage at the main door, under cover. The breakfast was great, good quality and variety.

Check in was easy, accommodated an early arrival. Gentlemen was very helpful when we needed to extend our stay. Breakfast was pretty good.

I was sleeping and woke up to my towels having been replaced. Even with the door hanger, someone came in my room while I was sleeping. Very uncomfortable knowing staff don't respect the door hanger for privacy.

Clean & quiet

The phone in my room didn't work, so I couldn't call to the desk for a slight delay in my checkout the morning of my departure. I went to the desk at 11 am to let the attendant know that my phone wasn't working and I politely requested another 20 minutes to finish up, she was weirdly grim about it. When I took the first of two trips with my luggage etc. to my vehicle 20 minutes later as discussed (letting the attendant know I'd be back for a couple more things), I came back to my room a minute later and my card wouldn't work to open my door. I was then treated with visible disdain and annoyance when I asked (again, politely) for re-access to get my last two bags. Very unacceptable and petty behaviour for a hospitality service. You can do better!

We stayed in room 111. Very nice room, but the air conditioner under the window made quite a lot of noise.

TV, wifi etc are all just barely adequate.
