Best Western Plus Drayton Valley

Clean and great breakfast

I feel compelled to share my experience with this hotel. We originally booked to stay for my brother in law’s birthday celebration (family of 6 so we needed two rooms) But we ended up getting called to the hospital as my father in law was dying. The front desk was amazing and cancelled our rooms, no questions asked. Then, he ended up passing away, so we showed up late at night after the hospital, in tears, and still needing a room. The night clerk was super compassionate and helped us get settled. The rooms themselves were fantastic. It was so comforting to sleep in a clean, comfortable bed/room after the day we had. We were so impressed that we booked them same hotel a few weeks later for the funeral. They remembered us, and gave us the same care and compassion. If this were a regular hotel stay, they’d still get high marks for friendly staff, clean rooms, great breakfast and great location. My husband does not typically comment on hotels and he said it’s the best hotel he’s ever stayed at. Thank you to your staff for making our stay as good as possible. You all went over and above for us and we will never forget it. If you’re reading this review as a potential customer, you will not be disappointed by this hotel.

If you are looking for a great place to stay when in the Drayton Valley area for work, pleasure or just be travelling through & are looking for a great nights stay & value, then I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. The rooms are specious suites& well apointted with kitchenettes, quiet comfy rooms & all the amentities you want from a hotel. The price for value is well worth it as this hotel has something for everyone, from a great free breakfast that is a 15 out of 10, to a well equipped firness facility, to a rec room with airhockey, pool tables, ping pong, shuffle board available, board games & a virtual sports simulator free of charge. The staff are amazing & great you with their smiles & enthusiasm from the moment you arrive, to each & everytime you enter & leave the hotel. The housekeeping staff leave pleasant little notes each day they make up your room wishing you a great day & stay & there is always fresh baked cookies on hand in the the lobby.

This my favorite BW hotel. It is clean and modern. The complimentary breakfast is the best I’ve ever had in any hotel chain. The kitchen staff and front desk are friendly and professional. Kitchen staff go out of their way to provide a great breakfast experience. This hotel is a model of how a kitchen should be run. The front desk people were helpful and friendly, made me feel welcome.

Clean, friendly staff nice size rooms

The room was really clean. The kitchen was convenient. We thought it was a new hotel. Was shocked to hear it was 11 years old. The breakfast had a wide variety of items.

This is a gem in Alberta ! The most welcoming staff and helpful . Cleanest hotel in 50 years of hoteling. The breakfast was unbelievable served by Wendy the coinsure of hotel food . The eggs were like cooked to order . Never had it better. Wife said best bed ever ! Good Tv after we we figured it out, lots of channels.

Bed/Pillows super comfy. Very quiet room. Really nice morning breakfast and staff was very nice. I would stay here again.

Personeel

Staff was amazing-friendly, accommodating and you could tell they took pride in the service they provided. We received a welcome goody bag which was a nice touch.

Out of 12 nights on the road & 12 different hotel rooms, this was by far the BEST!!! Extremely friendly & efficient staff. Room was immaculate, large & quiet. Best night’s sleep we had on our trip. We are loyal Marriott travelers, but have now added BW+ to our preferred stays! I highly recommend this hotel. You won’t be disappointed.

- Staff freindly and engaging. - upon arrival gift bag(water, cookie, chips) - freshly baked goods and. lemnade/lemon water to enjoy. - decor well thought out(colors, art, seating areas, felt comfy) - breakfast and breakfast lady exeptional Felt like a home away from home.

That we only had 1 night booked

Our stay was amazing. It was an unplanned stop and we were blown away by how awesome this hotel was. The staff were all so friendly, the food was amazing, rooms were beautiful big and clean. The games room was so much fun and the fitness center was top notch. We will definitely be back to stay.

Staff were amazing and friendly!!

Very clean and quiet hotel.

This is a motel

This is THE nicest Best Western we have ever stayed in !!! I’m not sure there is “any” thing you can do better . The staff were so wonderful from check in to check out. Wendy in the breakfast room is such a warm lovely lady and so helpful and pleasant … she is such a great asset to your business !! The room was more than we could have expected . The bedding left me wishing I could take it home with me. There were pillows to suit everyone’s comfort . And the gift bags for each of us was the nicest surprise . The staff all seem to really enjoy their jobs and we’re all so pleasant and welcoming. Thank you so much for such a delightful stay 💝

Very nice room, had everything I needed when being away from home, clean, comfortable

Pleasantly surprised. Staff was extremely friendly, the entire place was very clean and the amenities were great (the sports sim, games room and gym). Also - they have a really good breakfast with something for everyone.

This was the best complimentary breakfast I have ever had at a hotel chain hotel. Large variety of breakfast items. Fresh. Comfortable and clean eating area. Jewel of this hotel. Room was very clean and comfortable bed. Modern room. I will definitely be coming back to this BW hotel.

I love this hotel. Its extremely comfortable. Rooms are big, Showers are great. Its clean and I love the kitchen. And i travel alot.

The staff was so lovely, friendly and welcoming. It’s been a long time since I have seen this welcoming happiness. The hotel was exceptionally clean and quiet. Location was convenient and Mr. Mikes restaurant was close and convenient.

The hotel is a little expensive compared to others in the area. The hotel didn’t have many guests, perhaps during slow times you can give a better rate to bring in more business, so people can see how wonderful you are.

Clean

The staff are very friendly. Property is very clean

From the minute we walked in we felt cared for ! Polite, kind, helpful friendly ! Received a welcome bag with water and snacks! Rooms are clean, modern, and spacious. Games room is incredible - The breakfast!!! Wowza! I have never seen such an o credible spread! Everything was fresh, warm, delicious. The variety was outstanding The staff went above and beyond to ensure everyone was happy and fed.

Bright and up to date.

Room was very large with a big kitchenette

This hotel has everything you need from an overnight stay to working in the area. Caters to everyone and has everything!

Staff was very helpful. The hotel was clean and the room was easy to maneuver around in with a wheelchair.

The entire guest suite was very comfortable. Bed and furniture very clean. Bathroom immaculate. Many lovely personal touches, from check-in welcome packages, to in-room personal notes and a very well supplied kitchenette. Totally recommend this hotel for short and long-term stays. Breakfast room and food were lovely.

Southern edge of Drayton very convenient to highway. Quiet, full of amenities I didn’t stay long enough to use, gym, games room, fresh cookies and coffee. Gorgeous linens and a large in suite kitchen.

I really enjoyed my stay. The rooms were really nice. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom and shower was excellent. Shower was very upscale than most places I have stayed at. The breakfast was outstanding with more choices than most hotels offer. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

July long weekend camping was super loud. I hadn’t slept well in three days and the fireworks had scared my dog. I called the BW around 11pm and asked for a room. She gave me the best rate possible, a super clean and nice room and we slept great! I love the bedding, the extra pillows and the ultra quiet air conditioner. My only request would have been black out blinds but it was honestly such a great stay. Breakfast was clean, delicious and plentiful!

Staff are super friendly Room was comfortable large and well appointed Sports channels on TV Great laundry Waffles or pancakes at an amazing breakfast bar

Nothing to complain about

Very nice hotel, clean comfortable and the breakfast was good.

This is, without a doubt, the very best 'Best Western' hotel that I have ever been to. Everything was fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful, there was a pleasant welcome package, the rooms were extremely clean and were also cleaned daily. There was an excellent fitness center, games room, and massage chair. The breakfast selection was rotated daily and offered beans and oatmeal every day which I enjoyed. The hotel is located close to a Mr. Mike's restaurant for a quick dinner as well as close to a gas station. I cannot say enough good things about this experience. I rarely leave reviews but I had to leave one to promote this kind of positive experience.

Clean and modern. Very nice beds. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Games room is unique and fun. Good parking. NOTE that there is no pool or hot tub.

Great value, great location, clean hotel, friendly staff,,fantastic breakfast, close to highway quiet area,

stayed in many best westerns .. always a pleasure but THIS one in DRAYTON VALLEY ALBERTA is Exceptional!!!!.. bagged snacks when you arrive .. complete breakfast well done they left nothing out. !! rooms were beautiful .. Thanks Drayton WELL DONE!!

The room was spacious and very clean. Also very well stocked for a stay with a refrigerator, dishwasher and all dishes necessary for an extended stay. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. I would stay again in a heartbeat. I must also add the goodie bag of water and snacks was a nice touch.

Very Nice Big Room

This location, Drayton Valley, Alberta is the best Best Western Plus! They are very clean and the service is excellent! Attentive care from the staff. Breakfast is good and the bonus when you arrived, they have the yummy cookies as a treat too, not every Best Western offer this welcoming! Love every room has the little kitchen.

This is a really lovely hotel on the outskirts of Drayton Valley. Helpful staff, very clean and a really fantastic breakfast available from 5-10 a.m. Kitchenettes were well appointed including dishwasher. Great fitness room and free massage chair.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. When we checked in, my son and I each received from the front desk a paper bag and inside was 2 bottles of water, a small bag of Lay’s chips and a Rice Crispy treat. It was really nice to get that. Also my son and his friends really enjoyed the games room, they had a lot of fun there. The room was clean and had a good amount of space for us.

Great service by the staff, they were kind and organized!

Amenities are broken, no pool nothing for the kids to do. Bad customer service at the front desk. Breakfast was the only good thing, they say they have a golf simulator, and massage chair and ganes room. Mostly everything in there was broken or not working/out of order. Do yourself a favor and pick a hotel with a pool unless breakfast is the only thing your looking for. Beds were lumpy and uncomfortable.

All the staff were incredibly friendly and professional, and our stay was very comfortable.

Friendly staff, felt like they go the extra mile by giving a welcome bag with snacks and bottles of water

The staff that greeted us was very friendly and knowledgeable, the sports room was amazing and exceeded our expectations. The room was really nice with the full kitchen and lots of space. The breakfast in the morning was better than any other hotel we’ve stayed at. And all the extras were really nice like spa water, cookies, coffee and tea and packages we received upon check in. We will def be back!

The entire front end staff was amazing, helpful and went above an beyond for our stay. The rooms are clean, fresh and big and the breakfast is one of the best ones I've seen/had. The general manager, Angela, is amazing and will do everything she can to help you with your stay and any additional bookings or items you may need.

The hotel does everything it can to make your stay great! Wonderful staff.. nice hot breakfast.. great amenities. Thank you!

As a base it was a good clean place to stay during a family holiday. It felt good to return after a long day and the room had all we wanted. Make your own food or eat at a restaurant a very short walk across the parking area.Good value and nice staff.

The room was very large with a mini kitchen. Would be excellent for a longer stay. I was impressed with how clean the entire facility is, from lobby to eating area to the room. Great selection for the breakfast buffet.

Property is great.

Hotel is very good. The breakfast is average, it would have been good to have a choice or bacon or sausage not only ham. The coffee is good however.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while visiting Drayton Valley and from the moment we checked in until we left the staff was amazing, the room was very clean, the service was honestly outstanding! This hotel brought the bar back up for us and we highly recommend.

The staff were very nice and very helpful. The breakfast in the morning was great. Anytime we are visiting Drayton Valley we will definitely stay there again.

This hotel experience was the most pleasant hotel stay we’ve had! Staff were all friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was great, and the 24 hour coffee/tea bar was amazing!! Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean and quiet. Wouldn’t hesitate to book here if we ever had to go back to Drayton Valley

Enjoyed our stay with Best Western. Excellent check-in experience. Even gave us a bag of goodies to take to our room. Room was perfectly clean. Beds and pillows were great. We had a wonderful rest. Thank you!

Wow! What a hotel! This place has everything and is super clean. My kids loved the golf simulator/ dodgeball against zombies 😂 the massage chair in the gym was incredible. Cleanest hotel we have ever been too. They welcomed us with gift bags that included snacks.

Literally everything was amazing.

Very clean, and friendly staff. The mattresses however are very uncomfortable.

We were for the first time at Best Western in Drayton Valley for a wedding. The rooms were clean and full kitchen supplies. The breakfast was great and the Coffee too. The staff was friendly and sincerly interessed

Excellent!

My husband and I had a relaxing, quiet stay with our big dogs, in a spacious 2 queen room with kitchen. Delicious buffet breakfast and specialty coffees; locally made cookies every evening. Walking distance to a restaurant. Great staff, friendly and accommodating. Lots of parking and green space nearby for the dogs. Small town hospitality in a modern hotel. Will stay again!

Very friendly staff

Could not ask for a better stay, very hospitable staff, nice amenities, even a golf and soccer simulator, breakfast was excellent with lots of variety, nice coffee machine can even do fancy coffee, lots of little details considered which made you feel very much at home.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff

buenas instalaciones y buen servicio

The Best Western was a hidden surprise in Drayton Valley. The hotel was very clean but what stood out the most was the friendly staff. They were incredibly welcoming when we arrived and provided welcome bags for all of us. The room was great the only downside is behind the hotel is a sea of dumpsters which doesn’t look great. Otherwise no complaints!

This is one of the top hotels in the province, especially for a worker. It has every feature you could ask for and the breakfast is top notch. The rooms don’t get any cleaner nor does the quality get much better either. Highly suggest.

The bagged snacks free water and amazing facility the games room was great

Nothing

Very nice

the breakfast was extensive. the rec room is a blast.

nothing

Certainly the best service I’ve ever had. They gave us welcome bags with water and chips. And fresh cookies in the lobby were amazing. Who does that. It was so nice.

I’ve stayed at many BW hotels in western Canada and this was by far the nicest and most well thought out. The gym is excellent, the breakfast was generous, rooms were spacious, the activity room (pool, ping pong, arcade, etc.) is a great value add!

The staff was very friendly, we were greeted with a grab bag upon check-in, game room, great breakfast, very clean and I will be staying here again every time.

After a long drive, I appreciate the welcome bag filled with snacks and a water bottle! The front desk staff are always super friendly and helpful.

Great!

The room was huge - more room than we needed however, loved the double sinks in the bathroom and newness of the hotel.

Grear staff, clean rooms

Lovely building and staff. Highly recommended.
