Convenient location in town. Rooms "dated" but acceptable for our purpose. Pool looked nice but overcrowded with other families. The restaurant breakfast was very good and would recommend highly. Good price and lots to eat.

Not enough pillows in the room. We booked 2 rooms and the air conditioning in the other room was not very good.

The cafe that was attached was very good and it was good that we got a discount to use it for breakfast.

Was the floor even swept??? It was very dirty and gritty to walk on. Had to put towels on the floor beside our bed to wipe our feet before climbing in to bed. And we take our shows off at the entrance to the room.

The parking can be troublesome if you are in the building with the pool. The courtyard rooms with outside entrances have parking spots clearly painted on but the other side of the lots has no lines and people park every which way, diagonally, horizontally , vertically.. The whole lot should be painting with clearly defined spots.

Very clean and well maintained. Great staff! Loved the pool and hot tub. On-site restaurant is delicious and a 20% discount for motel guests was a nice bonus! Very close to everything you need and only minutes to beautiful Port Elgin Beach!

Location was good for my stay. Staff was friendly on arrival and when we raised a safety concern out our room door being left open before we arrived, they eventually changed our room for us. Coffee/tea station was nice.

The room smelled extremely musty/damp, the beds were sunken in the middle and very uncomfortable.

The air conditioning unit in our room was quite grungy. We turned it off and opened the window instead.

Everything was great, very clean room and very comfortable bed. Pool and hot tub were great. Staff offered top notch customer service. When we arrived we were greated by the nicest, friendliest employee at the front desk. Arshpreet was wonderful and extremely helpful with anything we needed. Although room was spacious and clean, it had a strong musty smell plus dog odour which was uncomfortable. Recommend that the carpet be removed.

Location. Direct access from parking to the room, so no long hallways.

The air conditioner was from the 1970's and felt like it ran out of coolant in the 1990's, it just blew warm air. The trim around the bathroom door had water damage as old as the air conditioner, and looked nasty.

It was close to everything, which is very good when you have little ones with you. It has a pool and hot tub, which is nice but they could probably clean it a bit more often. There was buildup on the sides of the pool and hot tub both times we went over the Civic Holiday long weekend. They also don't keep towels stocked in the pool area, so you have to bring some with you when going to the pool. The lighting in the room could have been improved-- it was kind of dull and dim. In our room the bathroom was nice and clean and brighter than the rest of the room. Overall, the room was cozy. The beds were very comfy, but there was a mustiness on the bedding. It didn't smell fresh even on the first night, which was something that kind of bothered me. The tv in the room only had a handful of channels that worked-- only a few sports and a couple music ones none of which my family would watch while we stayed there. It was nice to have a keurig and a fridge plus microwave in the room. I also have to say that when we hung the Please clean the room sign on the door when going out for breakfast one morning, the staff vacuumed, changed the towels and, made the beds by the time we came back about 3 hours later which was nice.

Very outdated. Water pressure in shower was not good. Pool was cold and dirty. Walls are thin, you can hear lots of noise.

My room is not clean lots of AC sounds I could not sleep Ac working for 5 mins the turn off then open automatically Too much noisy report to the staff they told it’s normal here

My worst experiences first time

We stayed 1 night in July. The room is a good size and beds are comfortable, however the room we stayed in has very old carpeting that smells like wet dogs. There is clearly a moisture problem because there are dehumidifiers everywhere. I called the lobby to try and switch rooms but no staff were around. We left at 11pm that night because we couldn't stand the smell any longer. The nest morning I asked for a refund and was denied. I was not offered any form of compensation or discount. I would not recommend staying here.

After spending 2 nights here,upon returning,noticed 2 questionable charges:found out,they can charge a different(higher),rate than the first night(quoted rate,this was not mentioned in advance);& more importantly,a $ 50.00 "lock charge",whereby cleaning lady said we damaged the lock(we most certainly,did not!); but we did notice,the handle didn't always open the door easily-we learned how to open it,without undue force.This was obviously a problem,b4 our arrival.Upon stating this to the manager,via phone,he said," I'll talk to cleaning lady,and get back to you";despite repeated calls,he never got back;so after 15 years of patronizing this motel(now under different owners(MUCH WORSE!),we'll be taking our hard-earned money elsewhere,...you're forwarned!

This is our second time staying at this location. Room was great value for the price.

Neighbour sat outside their room chain smoking ... so everytime we went out they were there smoking. They did seem to be longer term residents down on their luck. Didn't bother us per say but did distract from the overall feel of the place.

The garden was nice. Most of the staff was pleasant.

The hot tub was filthy. The lady came by and checked the water and threw something in and just left. I had opted for the Express check-in on my phone and had uploaded my ID and credit card ahead of time. When I got there, I was made to check in again. Give my ID again and present another credit card. I was then charged on both credit cards on top of being charged by my booking platform. I was also not emailed an invoice. I called inquire and was told it would take 24 hours to investigate.

The location was great.

Everything. 1. No check in early 2. Room was old Air conditioner barely worked it was from like the 1950's. 3. Front desk called to see if we had pets in the room. 3. Hot tub was dirty.

The surrounding was so quiet. The staff was so nice. Even the rooms were pretty clean. And all the facilities were good. Best staycation ever.

Bed was creaky! Even a slight turn on bed was making a lot of noise. Washroom’s bathtub tap was broken, had to somehow take a bath. I stayed in Travelodge Quebec, the experience there was good and we had same expectations, but it was opposite to what we expected.

Could be cleaner, but about as expected. Our tv didn’t work on Friday night - upon trying to phone down to the front desk, we discover our phone doesn’t work either. Was told someone would be down that night - no one came. Was told Saturday again it would be fixed through the day, finally at 9pm on our second day (Saturday) there, they offered to come look at it No power Sunday morning (apparently was a planned outage). Rooms were fine, amenities the opposite. Also, the coffee maker didn’t work either.

I love my room! It’s clean and had a lots of space to move around!

Stay far away. So I booked my parenrs and my uncle a room for 2 days as we were driving to Port elgin and back to nb. Made a 2 nighys reservation for my myself. Mother and father. All paid for. So we get to tiverton. I tell them to go check in . Reservation is under my name and theirs. They would not let my mother in the room under the reservation I booked and made her get a totally different room and she had to pay for it. I find this out when she gets her visa reciept. So I go in and they said Noone showed up for my reservation. . I said see the 3 names under this reservation. Yes, but they would not let her sign in because I wasn't there. I specifically called the hotel ahead of time to make sure someone would be there to let them in because of the time we were arriving. Never have I had this happen in my life. I travel all over Canada for work and booked many hotels. The receptionist said I'd have to try and get money back from the booking.com. such scammers. I don't recommend this dump to anyone.. unless you want to endure and smell like you haven't washed your armpits in weeks. I nearly choked just walking in the front door.

The room was a decent sized. I was able to park my car very close to my room. This was important because I had something valuable in the back. The linens were clean and the staff was very attentive and wonderful!

I am certain there was a fly in the room when I went in - 2 in fact. I know they didn't come in with me. I don't mind so much but maybe fly swatters in the room would be helpful. Also the TV to remote speed wasn't great.

I'm having a hard time getting used to the paperless transactions. I am still waiting for an email receipt from the Motel. We checked out on Wednesday.

Didn't have any breakfast there. Only modern thing was the bathtub. Can't say I liked anything. Just needed a place to stay and this fulfilled that need.

The carpet and air smelled moldy and funky. This was one of the biggest turn off. The barbecue grill barely worked. Overall wasn't worth the price.

The room was VERY clean and well appointed. Handy exterior door, which was great because we had our dog with us. Bed was comfortable and plenty of hot water.

The small fridge froze everything we put in it (fruit, cheese, water). Heating system is very loud and dry.
