We had a brief, but very wonderful experience at Nagano Metropolitan. The hotel had a grand feel with quality touches. The rooms were on the smaller side, but that did not take away from our experience. The location was fantastic. I wish we stayed longer.

都合で深夜遅くの到着になるためお知らせしたところ、お待ちしておりますのでご安心くださいと返信くださり安心して向かうことが出来ました。着いてからもフロントのスタッフの方が穏やかで親切で安心しました。古くからあるホテルのようですがとてもお部屋もお部屋以外のどの場所も清潔で快適でした。ロビーの吹き抜けの雰囲気がとても良く高級ホテルのようなのにリーズナブルでとても良いです。長野駅のお土産ショッピング直結なのが最高でした！駐車場予約できませんが、停めるのに十分余裕がありましたしホテルの地下なので雨でも濡れず便利です。窓からの景色も良かったです。また泊まらせてもらいます！！

一つだけ！大浴場がないのが残念です

駅直結が大変便利がよかったです。 駐車場も出入りが自由に出来て確実に停められるので助かりました。

客室フロアーのコインランドリーが予約制で一回終わるのに2時間かかるのがちょっと使い勝手が悪いです。 でも1階に３台あったのでタイミングを見て利用出来ました。

2度めの宿泊でしたが、毎回とても気持ち良く過ごせています。お掃除も日品もいきとどいているなぁーと感じました。

今回は高層階の部屋だったので期待していたのですが、善光寺側ではなかったので残念でした

The hotel is conveniently located next to Nagano station. This is not a business hotel. The view from the side facing the railway is fantastic for train lovers. We were on the 7th floor. You can see the Kagayaki shinkansen and other local trains go by. The bathroom was spacious for Japan, and reminded me of one from a Marriott hotel in the US. Breakfast was included for our stay and it was decent.

We paid about $300 USD early August 2026 for two rooms as we exceed the rooms occupancy for the five of us. I think this is a decent value for the individual rooms, but I wish they had a room that would fit five occupants. They had combination laundry/dryer machines on three of the floors that required advanced reservation (unsure how far in advance) and a few more machines on the first floor that was first come first serve. The machines' status can be monitored on the TV in the room. For our one night stay, we were unable to do a load of laundry. The machines that could be reserved were fully booked up, and the first floor machines looked to be running pretty constantly.

The hotel is at the JR station, which makes it easy to explore the area. In addition to the city center, we visited Togakushi and Hakuba, which is 1-2 hours away by bus. The TV screen shows which washing machines are available and how long it takes to complete the cycle, which makes it easier to do our laundry.

The beautiful room had a great view of the mountains and the city. Had fun watching the trains in and out of the station. The beds and bedding were more comfortable than home. Convenient to train station for our last night in Japan. Last minute shopping available in the train station. We took a taxi to the temple.

第一次入住是獨旅就覺得體驗非常棒，這次第二次入住，帶著家人一起，大家都非常滿意。 早餐很好吃，房間大小也很足夠，2個28吋行李打開完全沒問題。重點交通非常方便，甚至有些景點可以在飯店門口搭車，真的超讚！之後來長野還是會住這家。

We stayed at Hotel Metropolitan Nagano during our visit to Nagano and, apart from its convenient location next to the station, there was very little to impress. The room felt tired, dated, and in need of significant refurbishment. The standard room consisted of twin beds, and the overall atmosphere was reminiscent of a business hotel from decades ago. The room itself was small and lacked any sense of comfort or character. The bathroom was particularly disappointing. It was extremely cramped and claustrophobic, with an old-fashioned plastic shower curtain rail that made it feel even more outdated. Even the bathroom door felt unusually light and flimsy, giving a rather cheap impression and doing little to inspire confidence in the overall quality of the room. It was functional, but certainly not a bathroom one would expect from a hotel carrying the Metropolitan name. To make matters worse, the view from the room was directly over the roof of a neighbouring building, offering no outlook whatsoever. Combined with the small room, dated furnishings, and uninspiring surroundings, the experience felt rather depressing. We chose not to have breakfast, so cannot comment on the food. Overall, this hotel may suit travellers who simply need a place to sleep next to the station, but in our opinion it offers poor value for money and falls well short of modern hotel standards. The good news is that the room did successfully transport us back to the 1990s. Unfortunately, unlike time travel, there was no return ticket included in the rate.

Our room was clean and specious, had kettle and refrigerator; bed was comfortable. I asked for the quiet room, and it was quiet enough considering location.

I stayed here at the end of May when temperatures were in the 30°C range and the air was quite dry. I was surprised that the hotel did not provide any lotion, which I would expect given the climate. I was also disappointed by the air conditioning in the room, which was not strong enough to keep the room comfortably cool. Based on these experiences, it felt like cost reduction was prioritized over guest comfort. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel.

Comfortable hotel in excellent proximity to the train station. Courteous and professional staff. A good base for access to the local area. We were able to walk to the major attractions. Daily servicing of the room replenished all ammenities.

Deluxe Twin Room was good size and clean. Location of this hotel is very convenient, due to being attached to the railway station.
