The luxury cottage was really spacious, comfortable and stylish. The staff could not have been more accommodating and lovely and the pool was really clean and a welcome place to relax and refresh after a day or visiting the sites.

I was expecting the resort to be a bit more remote but it was on a very loud main road and you could hear the motorbikes going by until quite late. It’s not something the hotel can do anything about and when you enter the resort it feels like an oasis of calm by comparison.

旅館旁邊是快速道路， 房間還是聽得到汽機車的噪音。禮拜六晚上吵到有點難睡。吃東西買東西不方便。快速道路旁不適合行走，出門需要騎車或搭卓。 飲用水只有給兩小瓶，需要额外買水。

We spent two night at Amata and were very impressed with absolutely everything at this resort. The staff were warm, professional and incredibly attentive, and for a smaller hotel, the facilities were excellent. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to one of the poolside bungalows and housekeeping kept our room beautifully clean and tidy, while the gardens and pool area were always immaculate and clearly very well cared for. It was the little touches that really stood out — hot and cold towels before meals, beautiful batik curtains in our cottage, and complimentary bottled water, local coffee filtered coffee in the bungalow and a strong hot shower. We also arranged several motorbikes through the hotel, which couldn’t have been easier. Communication was excellent, with the staff always responsive and happy to help with our plans. In addition, the food in the restaurant was superb, thank you chef! The staff in the restaurant we very professional and attentive. Must also add that we loved the bottle coolers for the beer and wine. Overall, we felt this hotel offered exceptional value for money. A lovely, well-run property with genuine hospitality and attention to detail. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if we return to the area. Thank you

Beautiful property at 10 min by car from Borobudur temple. Staff will do everything to make you happy. The pool and surrounding garden are beautiful and relaxing. Breakfast and food's options from the restaurant are also very good. We have eaten twice at dinner in their restaurant and we really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Our room was spacious, clean and cozy ( plus, no smell of humidity) with a silent air conditioner. The bed was very comfortable as well. So, everything was perfect for us and made our stay incredible. We would come back for sure.

What an amazing place to stay - such a lovely atmosphere, relaxed and laid back, with great service, great food and drink, clean and tidy. We had a great family bungalow with 2 great rooms, both with their own en suite and even an entrance hall area as well as a veranda. The pool was great too. A wonderful place to explore Borodubur and the surrounding area. We fully recommend Amata Borodubur!

Un superbe rapport qualité prix. L’hôtel est très proche du temple de Borobudur. La piscine est très agréable. Les espaces de vie ouverts et l’offre de massages sont un vrai plus. Le personnel est également très professionnel et très attentif à chaque demande.

Mooi resort met extreem vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Ruime en schone kamers, mooi uitzicht over de rijstvelden en groot zwembad. Prima ontbijt. En belangrijk: dicht bij Borobudur, zodat we als eersten de tempel beklommen.

Wat weinig ligbedden bij het zwembad (als je later aankomt, zoals wij, is er niets over).

The Amata Borobudur Resort is a great place to stay. We would definitely rate it more than 3 stars! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The swimming pool and garden are very nice and a perfect place to relax after a busy day in Yogyakarta or Borobudur. We had booked the Deluxe Room which are very good. All in all a perfect stay!

We stayed at Amata Borobudur Resort with our family for 3 days and 2 nights. This was our second stay here, and once again, we had a wonderful experience. We were very satisfied with the clean and comfortable room, the delicious food, and the exceptional service from the staff. Everything made our stay truly enjoyable. Pohodlný hotel blízko Borobudur chrámu, velmi dobrá atmosféra, skvělá restaurace. Výrorné a la carte snídaně. Bazén dost velký na plavání, k dipozici lehátka. Jen jsem podcenila vzdálenost of Yogyakarty (nádraží, letiště, je to hodina a půl autem). Hotel jsem ráda využila na odpočinkový den v rámci náročné cesty.

The WiFi was not always the best

Loved the little houses for rooms and the Javanese experience - all the little touches from the wood decor, the batik curtains and the indoor- outdoor living spaces. We slept really well! Get ready for a lot of food at breakfast. You will have two menus in which to choose. Prices for rooms are favorable and breakfast comes with the room.

Tout. Mon bungalow était exceptionnel. Le style, le confort, la tranquillité, le jardin et la piscine m’ont beaucoup plu. J’ai bien mangé. Je recommande vivement les massages.

Food was good.

What a gem! The service was outstanding, with a well-trained staff and lovely facilities for a small hotel. We especially loved the attention to detail — from the hot/cold towels before meals and fresh flowers on the tables to the batik curtains in the cottage and complimentary bottled water replenished daily. Housekeeping did a great job keeping the room clean and tidy, and the grounds and pool were clearly very well maintained. We also arranged several tours through the hotel, and the process was incredibly easy thanks to the staff’s excellent communication and responsiveness. This place was such a great value, and we would absolutely return if we have the chance.

While the wooden cottages were very charming, they sometimes allowed road noise and music to be heard. Keeping the AC fan on helped dampen the sound, but if you’re sensitive to noise, a room in the main building might be a better option.

Amazing service by the very attentive staff, small and beautiful property, nice restaurant with vegetarian/vegan options and a good breakfast. Spotless and comfortable rooms. Very close to Borobudur Temple.

The welcome during check in and the service by the staff during our stay were incredible. The room where we stayed was also wonderful; we stayed in the villa. The room was quiet and exceeded our expectations. Location was close to Borobudur attraction and plenty of restaurants nearby but we didn't go as we just ate at the restaurant in the hotel. The food and service at the restaurant was great, so no regrets not going to the nearby restaurants

Un vrai bonheur, on regrette de partir. Accueil plein de petites attentions. Jardin et piscine constamment entretenus, ainsi que le restaurant. La chambre et le bloc sanitaire très propres, vastes et bien décorés. L’eau est chaude avec une pression suffisante, la douche suffisamment à l’écart des WC. La literie impeccable. La climatisation est facilement réglable, dirigée sur le pied du lit. La chambre et le lit sont faits tous les jours, serviettes changées. Articles de salle de bain, eau, café, thé complétés. Les prises sont bien placées et nombreuses. TV pour ceux qui sont intéressés. Le petit déjeuner est complet et très bon. Le restaurant propose une belle carte et la cuisine est excellente pour un prix raisonnable. Le personnel est plus que sympathique, il est d’une rare gentillesse, toujours prévenant. L’hôtel propose aussi un grand nombre d’activités. L’emplacement est parfait pour visiter le temple de Borobudur qui est à moins de 10 mn avec un grab. Le rapport qualité/prix est excellent, vous ne trouverez sans doute pas beaucoup mieux même pour plus cher.

I had a wonderful stay at Amata Borobudur Resort. The staff were very kind, helpful, and welcoming. The location is peaceful and very close to Borobudur Temple, which made my visit very special. The room was comfortable and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Borobudur for relaxation or a spiritual trip.

What a nice place! They are all extremely friendly and helpful. The food is great, the hotel has a nice and chilly atmosphere. Wonderful for resting days.

The dogs from the neighbours barking in the morning woke me up every morning. The gym is very simple. Essentially cardio 2 machines and two machines to train upperbody. One step, bench, a 15kg bar and dumbbells till 14kg.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The room was spacious and comfortable, making it feel like a true home away from home. The breakfast was delightful, with a delicious spread that really set the tone for the day. What stood out the most, though, was the incredibly friendly and professional staff who went above and beyond to make my experience exceptional. Highly recommend it!

Ganz tolles Resort in der Nähe des Borobudur-Tempels (10 min mit dem Taxi). Wir hatten drei Nächte gebucht und sind die ganze Zeit unheimlich herzlich und liebevoll umsorgt worden. Super Frühstück, hervorragendes Abendessen. Auch die Tempelanlage von Prambanan ist nicht allzu weit (ca. 1 h mit dem Taxi). Wir können dieses Resort absolut und ohne Einschränkungen empfehlen!

It’s a perfect 3 N stay for us , the staff go beyond the effort to add it your need . We stay in deluxe room which was luxurious, the bed comfortable & the bathroom was great . we like the alacarte complimentary breakfast. It was one of the best hotel we ever stay in indonesia.

I was very impressed with this hotel from the moment I walked into the lobby. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. I slept in a bungalow, which I’ve never done before in all my travels and it was absolutely great. Even the breakfast was outstanding since you tell them what you want the night before so it’s cooked fresh versus having a buffet. I had the best fried bananas, Thailand sweet papaya, and spring roll. Even the ginger tea was delicious. I can’t say more about this hotel. It was clean and friendly and I highly recommend it to anyone that is going to see.Borobudur, which is very close by.

We had an amazing stay at Amata Borobudur Resort! The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We loved this place! So beautiful, incredibly friendly staff and excellent food - Rasti and the team really looked after us. The aesthetics are gorgeous too, from the natural materials in the room to the frangipani-lined pool.

It was a very intimate resort, just a few bungalows and rooms, therefore it felt like it was just a sanctuary of our own. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, you will never feel underserved.

I would say the spa wasn’t the best, the service and treatment itself was good, simply the atmosphere of the spa… I’ve had better.

Ontzettend vriendelijke mensen! Ze vissen excursies aan een ook een leuke ochtendwandeling. We hebben er heerlijk gegeten. We hadden een mooie ruime kamer die goed geluiddicht was. Bedden waren goed, lekker zitje buiten. Mooi resort!

This hotel/Resort was booked by JackalHollidays for me to go to the Borobudur. It is a very nice Resort with several wooden bungalows with al the comfort you need. Breakfast and dinner were perfect. The staff very friendly. There is however a Minor issue, it is quite close to a road, traffic can be noisy. However with earplugs everything is fine.

Very friendly staff, good price, clean, great location, relaxing. The staff helped to set up swimming pool lounger and give us extra bonus 1 hr to check out. They gave us not only welcome drink but also evening warm snack. The toilettres was superb with Sensatia Botanical my fave local organic brand! Will be back for sure 🫶

Super vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Ze staan elk moment van de dag voor je klaar. Of je nou iets wil eten of ergens hulp bij nodig hebt. Locatie op 10 minuten rijden vanaf de Borobudur, daarom een prima uitvalsbasis. Het zwembad was heerlijk om even te ontspannen. Het hele hotel was erg schoon, in 3 dagen geen enkel ongedierte gezien, zelfs geen last van muggen gehad. Prijs/kwaliteit is super. We hadden hier echt een authentiek Indonesisch gevoel. Het eten was heerlijk en alles leek vers bereid.

Er ligt een wat drukkere weg langs het hotel. Dit heeft ons totaal niet gestoord, maar goed om te weten als je absolute rust zoekt.

A lovely resort, with exceptional service from the beautiful, friendly and welcoming staff. We stayed in a deluxe bungalow in the traditional Javanese style, very comfortable and pleasant. The food was exceptional, by far the best of anywhere else in the area, including a great selection of vegan meals and delicious drinks too. Lots of excursions on offer, good drivers. Highly recommend this resort - just bring ear plugs to block the over-amplified muezzin (this goes for anywhere you stay in Java really).

Incredibly kind staff, always friendly and smiling. They decorated the room for our honeymoon with flowerpettals on the bed and in the bathtub, as well as a chocolate cake arrival. Beautiful resort, food tastes good and plenty of options. If you are going to do a sunrise excursion and you won't make it for breakfast, they will prepare a breakfast box for you.

Het was daadwerkelijk een heerlijke omgeving. Heerlijk rustig met veel natuur en groen. We hadden ook daadwerkelijk een prachtige kamer/huisje. Dicht in de buurt van de Borobudur maar genoeg van de drukte weg. Echt alles helemaal top een super aanrader.

Great hotel very close to Borobudur 10mn by car, and 1h20mn to Prambanan. A peaceful place with a nice garden and a large pool. The food is excellent and the staff incredible. It was the perfect place to rest after visiting the temples. The bungalows are very well decorated, they are large and comfortable.

The Anaya Borobudur Resort is one of the most memorable and loveliest places we have ever stayed. We were so impressed with the comfortable rooms, the delicious food and the wonderful, beautiful staff working in the hotel and the restaurant. It was definitely the highlight of our Indonesian holiday and recommend 100% for anyone seeking an authentic and peaceful place to stay.

We stayed here for one night to go and explore the rich culture of the area. This place is amazing - truly Asian; very nice, peaceful and with a staff which goes above and beyond what you would expect to make you as comfortable as possible. The restaurant serves delicious food, and the breakfast is really full with a lot of options. We also very much enjoyed the nice pool area and just the feeling of unwinding and relaxing. I highly recommend this resort, if you’re in the area. I could easily have stayed for a lot longer.

We loved our 4 night stay at Amata. Everything we needed was provided with a smile, from a large double room with balcony, a/c and en suite, to really good Western and Indonesian cuisine, and a large clean swimming pool to cool off. The staff organised bicycles, open VW jeep tours, airport transfers, and a marvellous 90 minute massage in the Spa....we recommend it highly to anyone coming for business or pleasure, and so close to Borobudur Temple.

Really above our expectation, Amata Borobudur really into design & interior details, staffs, the food, ambiance and facilities are superb. Really worth to spend some night here.🌱

We had wonderfull experience during our stay here. The staff were exremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast included were great as was the service. We couldn’t have asked for a better place! Literally 10/10- all facilities were great- it was spotless and so clean, really good sized pool to enjoy. the best hotel near Borobudur Temple we’ve stayed in! Really recommend such good value!

I visited Amata with my husband and 6-month-old baby in early May 2025. We had a lovely, relaxing time. Amata hotel beautifully combines traditional Javanese design with contemporary comforts to provide an immersive and enchanting experience. Attentive and friendly staff, delicious food, a world class swimming pool and stunning gardens made this stay an unforgettable experience.

The staff were so lovely. They went out of their way to make our stay wonderful and relaxing. We were given a complimentary welcome drink on arrival as well as complimentary dessert when having dinner in the restaurant. We were also offered room service when we were too tired to come out of our room. The place was beautiful and had a calm atmosphere. There was also a shop in the main reception selling locally made goods.

We recently stayed at this amazing hotel as a family, and we couldn’t be more pleased with our experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel completely at home. This beautiful resort is the perfect base for visiting Borobudur temple. The bungalows are really nice with proper beds and a nice semi outside bathroom. The veranda makes for a good place to read a book and drinking a cold beer while overlooking the garden and swimming pool. The staff is very friendly and the (Indonesian) food is very tasty.

We had a very pleasant time at Amata Borobudur Ressort. The Ressort is rather small and has a very nice architecture. The service and food here has been excellent. We really appreciated our 5 days stay here. It is very close to Borobudur Temple and the other sightseeing highlights are good reachable.

The food is good - we had our breakfast and dinner there and value for money. Regarding the room, I booked two bungalows, and they upgraded us to a luxury bungalow. We all liked the welcome drinks that changed colours when we stirred.

The coffee house should have an espresso coffee machine so that the guests can enjoy the calm and the resort vibe.
