Everything was horrible
The Aberford has to be the worst experience I have ever had in my life. We were a group of 20 people and I booked The Aberford because online it was listed as 3 stars and it was walking distance to the event we were attending. When we got there the rooms were disgusting. Some of the bed sheets had bird poop on it. Another pillow case had blood on it. Rooms were not clean and there was not hot water. The issues are so long I can't detail everything. We are in the process of seeking legal action to recoup the money we lost because of The Aberford.
Perfect location, staff where friendly and helpful, I had the best nights sleep, The bed was very comfortable, room was lovely and had everything we needed
Rooms were clean and asked for single beds across 6 rooms 4 out of the six were doubles
Dining area had a bad smell didn't have breakfast due to this
Nothing
Everything rude as heck
We stayed for one night in room 19,, owner was very helpful, room was clean,, Bed was very comfy, good size bathroom ,we didn't have breakfast because we were leaving very early the next morning . Would stay again Dave & kim
Bad phone service but not the owners fault
Great locacation and friendly staff

Staff were friendly on check in and explained the facilities available.
Room was dirty with stains on the carpet and a shower that was filthy and unusable. Get what you pay for pretty much.

The room needs updating, but it was clean ,the lad who is running it for the owners is great, nothing too much trouble ,polite ,will help you if he can , a great guy
The breakfast, you don't get bacon, it's turkey bacon ,although it's out of the lads hands it's the owners
The guests , and locations , it was quiet ! Duvet and pillows omg it was like heaven
Fruit flies in room and the stairs
The owners were lovely and helpful, when we got our room the toilet mat was soaking wet and smelly, we threw it in the shower and closed the door! The bedding was really clean but there were bedbugs!!
The bedbugs! The mattress need a deep clean! The rug as you went in was a massive trip hazard.
It was clean friendly and we was treated like family also close to all amusement parks

Room unclean and old, resulted in me encountering severe bed bugs. Booking.com tried to contact the property about it and they didn’t respond!
Hotel se nachází blízko promenády, na dosah pláže a moře, možnost parkování na ulici zdarma, pub a občerstvení pár kroků od hotelu, posezení před hotelem, možnost teplé snídaně, okamžité řešení problémů pokud nastali - úžasný správce Liam❤️
Podivní hosté v hotelu, všude v okolí zápach marihuany, hluční racci i v noci, hluk z nočních podniků, posledních pár nocí problém s brouky v posteli, nedostatek teplé vody, kontinuálně vypnutý bojler s teplou vodou.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Absolute Gem in Blackpool – Exceptional Stay!We have just returned from an absolutely fantastic stay at The Aberford Hotel in Blackpool, and we cannot recommend it highly enough! From the very moment we walked through the door, we were made to feel incredibly welcome. The hosts and the entire team are exceptionally warm, friendly, and genuinely care about their guests having the best possible experience. The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect. It is situated on Yorkshire Street, making it incredibly convenient for exploring everything Blackpool has to offer. It is just a short, easy walk down to the famous Promenade, the Central Pier, and the iconic Blackpool Tower. Being so close to the main attractions meant we could pop back to the hotel whenever we needed to, yet the street itself felt quiet enough for a peaceful night's sleep. Our room was spotlessly clean, bright, and beautifully maintained. It was clear that the housekeeping standards here are incredibly high. The bed was exceptionally comfortable with crisp, fresh linen, ensuring we slept soundly every single night. The room had all the essential amenities we could possibly need, including a well-stocked tea and coffee tray and a lovely, modern en-suite bathroom with plenty of hot water and fresh towels. One of the absolute highlights of our stay was the breakfast. It was simply outstanding! Every morning we were treated to a delicious, freshly cooked, full English breakfast made with high-quality ingredients. It was piping hot, not greasy at all, and served alongside a great selection of cereals, toast, fruit juice, and unlimited tea and coffee. The service during breakfast was brilliant—always prompt, attentive, and accompanied by a cheerful morning chat. The hotel also features a brilliant, cosy little bar area. It was the perfect place to unwind with a relaxing drink after a long day of walking and sightseeing around the town.
That breakfast wasn't included in the price
Didn't have breakfast,so can't comment. Bedding was spotless,as was the towels and room.Bathroom a bit small.Good shower and plenty of hot water.Hosts very friendly.Over all a good place to spend a few days at a reasonable price.
NO bar.
Room was clean, beds comfy, lots hot water
Came for the Blackpool air show , there was a mix up with the booking and the hotel was overbooked (not their fault ) , as blackpool was completely fully booked and we weren't able to travel home they offered us a room free of charge and a refund , it hadn't been renovated and they said it wasn't the best and didn't let people stay in it but we could rather than have no where to stay , we were just glad we had a room at this point, couple of hours later they rang to say another room had become free , hotel is clean the beds are comfortable , towels are clean and they even gave us free parking, its a bit rough around the edges but if your expecting 5 star for 40/50 quid a night its not for you , thanks to liam for sorting us out , great value for money we would return
So I wasn’t going to say anything because the owners are lovely but unfortunately I had to leave a day early as I found a bed bug then after I’ve come home I’ve found loads of bites on my body
The owners are lovely
NOTHING ABSOLUTELY FILTHY DIRTY.
Filthy mouldy bathroom/frayed filthy carpets/broken lamp/dirty drawers and wardrobe. And drunks pissed up outside that were staying there...we left our case and went to find somewhere else, went back and left. We didn't cause a seen as we just wanted to get out of the place as yo many pissed up people. It's an absolute disgrace we paid you £93 FOR A PLACE WE WOULD NOT LET OUR CAT STAY IN!!! I HOPE THAT WE GET A REFUND, AND YOUR BOOKING.COM ACTUALLY VISITS THIS PLACE. AND ALSO SOMEONE ON DRUGS AT THE DOOR WHEN WE RETURNED FOR OUR SUITCASE. DISGUSTING FILTHY PLACE .

If your after a good break in Blackpool. Do not stay Here! It's a hell hole.
Location
1st room was Room 10, which had no hot water, window did not close over and bedroom door did not lock from the inside 😡 Got changed to Room 18, which had not been cleaned or made up from previous persons, both windows did not close, dried urine on toilet seat and bird faeces on bathroom floor 😡😡 We left in disgust and angry as we have stayed at Aberford Hotel for over 17 years, with previous owners Neil and Debs. 30 mins after leaving, Liam, the manager, phoned me and offered a full refund and apologies aplenty. We have still not received a refund 😕
Nothing apart from youan serving breakfast who was very polite and helped as much as he could

Liam is very nice and makes you very welcome and breakfast is the best if need anything doing he will sort it out rite way
The location is excellent, central and just 5 mins from the town centre. Liam the manager is excellent, attentive to guests needs, always asking if everything is ok or if you need anything.
The property is currently going through a gradual renovation which means some rooms and guest spaces look quite tired
I loved the size of the bedroom and it was very clean.
The sockets weren't near the kettle or the fire.We didn't enjoy the breakfast We had spicy sausage and bacon which I didn't like .They had no choice of cereal.
Close to everything we needed
Small room, not updated info so had to ask for WiFi password, breakfast not included

It was a good experience at check-in, thanks, Nick. I was asked what my needs were regarding my room. The Hotel is well situated, only a short walk to the New Market and the town centre. Quiet location too. Breakfast was first-class, freshly cooked, and a good variety. The staff was also very efficient and helpful. The room was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I WILL BE BACK VERY SOON. Thanks, guys,, for everything, K B
It was more than I expected for the money. I am not a robot.

We were greeted by the helpful owner, he was very polite
There was no not water in the shower or the hot taps in the room.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience, finding it to be an excellent value. The location and the new owners were truly exceptional; I have no complaints whatsoever. I certainly plan to return for another stay.

Lovely very clean B&B in a good location with an excellent host who was very friendly and helpful, we really enjoyed staying here.
A longer extension cable would be a bonus.
Great location. A 1 minute walk to the prom and close by to various car parks.
Had booked a double room but was given a twin room with single beds. The room hadn’t been cleaned prior to checking in and one of the beds hadn’t been made and had been slept in. Coffee and tea refreshments were limited as the room hadn’t been seen to. No milk. Used towels were still present in the bathroom. Shower worked but had poor pressure and you had to move the dial by the mm to get it to a decent temperature.
Staff were friendly and helpful, no problems with checking in or out. A very easygoing no hassle stay, and the location was ideal.
Bit of an older building, which just means you should expect creaky floors and doors - and it looks a bit aged. Nothing that affects your time there all that much though.
Friendly, clean, very accommodating
Nothing to like filthy place booked 2x twin rooms was given bunk beds and a room with beds crammed in, all photos that are shown on here are not reality, far from. It was that bad we managed 10 mins in the place and refused to stay had to find another hotel and are still awaiting a refund. Other reviews state that it is in need of an update, well it needs razing to the ground and a rebuild. Also a huge fire hazard as none of the windows opened in the room. It was awful.
EVERYTHING, could of been better it was disgusting false advertising at its best nothing at all like the pictures they show.
Hotel was lovely and clean
The breakfast could do with a little improvement, didnt like the sausage or bacon
The location was great
We had bed bugs, finger nails and mould. Misleading pictures.
How close the hotel was to everything
We waited between 40 - 50 mins for breakfast to arrive then it was not good asked, bed was hard to sleep had sore back in the mornings, no coffee in room plus cups was all dirty paint coming off celling of my daughter room, windows would not close, fire alarm going off in the middle of the night one small bar of soap, no shower gel.
Location near ardwick pub
Poor breakfast service took over 1hr to get it no working TV jammed window in storm
Firstly no heating it was freezing asked for help no help dirty towels telly going on and off breakfast no bacon everyone I spoke too had no heating it was a very cold night with a storm will not be returneding no one seemed bothered about the guests just was ignored all the time don't think you should be advertising this guest house on booking .com was not worth the money big disappointment
Did not like when you told the people bwho run it said they would sort the problem then never did just was ignored
Locations was good
Stayed easter weekend room 19 Came down for breakfast served between 9-11am we had a busy day so came down and got table at 9.05 our breakfast order was taken just after 10am for the whole room every single table! We finally got breakfast at 10.35am we didn't bother the next day TV didn't work & whilst we were all waiting for breakfast we all got talking about our rooms and more than 4 said the aerial doesn't work There's a radiator and electricic heater in room neither of them work and again a few other people stated theres didn't work & room is cold we had a storm so it was freezing! So after all that it can't get any worse surly?? Well the mattress was absolutely shocking just pure springs sticking through if we didn't have storm we would have drove home but because of the bad weather we decided to stay & really wished we hadn't because in the morning I wanted to take a photo of the springs on the mattress and pulled back sheets to find mattress protector with blood stains and the mattress covered in it too! (See photos) Please say if you have a complaint let them know to resolve it these problems were far to many 1 is OK but multiple what's the point! Bulb gone in room above bed Room hadn't been hoovered
The food was lovely.. and my my little lads needs of only wanting a few items
Nothing
Lots of stairs
No lift
Staff were friendly to talk to & the area was sort of quiet
The fact that the room i stayed in tv did,nt switch on as batteries did,nt get changed & draws would,nt close properly
Great location. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
It's run down and needs updating. Room had a very strange smell which I presume was the numerous air fresheners trying to cover the smell of damp up.
The staff went above and beyond for my Daughters 30th Birthday. The food was amazing.
Apart from the beds being uncomfortable due to the springs off the mattresses digging into me every was spot on.
