Hotel, il fronte spiaggia, il bar ristorante/ i camerieri gentilissimi, cibo buono, clima rilassante, no bambini, vicino alla zona viva di holbox, letti belli larghi.

Pavimento sporco, mancanza di acqua(non so se è stato un evento isolato),lettini e ombra sempre occupati.

La struttura è splendida, la sabbia ovunque per darti costantemente quella sensazione di mare e sopratutto al vicinanza al mare dalle camere, imbattibile. Il cibo sia della colazione che del pranzo era ottimo.

Location, breakfast and bar/restaurant staff

Somebody stole money from our safe, which worked with a key rather than a code. However, the receptionists instead of being helpful kept telling us it was impossible that somebody could steal since we were the only ones with the keys. We later discovered that the room next to ours had experienced the same problem on the same day—what a coincidence. We decided to involve the management/property, who kindly offered us free drinks and food at the bar for the rest of our stay.

Très bel établissement les pieds dans l’eau, bien entretenu au niveau de la plage, avec une vue absolument incroyable. Le petit déjeuner et la restauration sont excellents. L’endroit est calme et reposant, parfait pour se détendre et profiter pleinement du cadre. Il y a un peu de bruit provenant des bars autour, mais cela reste tout à fait agréable et pas vraiment dérangeant, surtout avec l’ambiance et la musique mexicaine qui donnent beaucoup de charme au lieu. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié de pouvoir profiter de la plage et de la restauration même après avoir rendu notre chambre, ce qui est vraiment un plus pour terminer le séjour en toute tranquillité. Une très belle expérience !

Climatiseur qui ne produisait pas de froid, salle de bain très petite et pas vraiment fonctionnelle, plage très petite et pas vraiment de sable, on a direct les pieds dans l’eau.

Excellent Hotel direct at the beach. We loved the rooms and views, every room has a ocran view. Beach bar is lovely and we always had space on a beach chair in the shade. Keep an eye open for the water faucet in the bathroom, nice little jem

This was an amazing resort right in the heart of town on the beach. No need to have to take a taxi to go eat. Just take a walk. The beach is not big but it’s enough. It never got crowded. There was never any seaweed. And we came from Tulum where you couldn’t even walk in the water because there was so much there. They don’t blast music so that you can relax. We booked a double queen balcony room that has a hammock on the balcony. Which is on the second floor and it was facing the ocean pretty much in the middle of the building. We had an amazing ocean view. There are no TVs here just FYI if you really have to watch TV bring your iPad or computer. There’s a mini fridge in the room. Beds were comfortable and so were the pillows. The only thing is because it’s so hot and humid right now the AC is above the front door so the cold air does not push all the way back to the end of the room where the beds are so easily. It will definitely help cool the room down, but it can be a little warm at night. They do have two fans in the ceiling above each bed that do help. I would say that was the only negative in the entire experience at this hotel. You get a great breakfast each morning that has eggs and whatever else you want bacon or sausage or ham or veggie or avocado toast lots of different choices on the menu. The coffee was actually very tasty and it also comes with a juice that’s made special each morning the last morning ours was pear juice. It’s nice because the restaurant is literally on the beach facing the water. The hotel staff was always very accommodating and friendly and they’re always raking the sand around the property so it looks really nice when you walk around. Yes you can hear the music from the nearby club at night, but it’s not obnoxious and if it really bothers you, they also Supply earplugs in the room. We did not need to use them because it wasn’t that bad and normally we are affected by noise when we’re trying to sleep.

Just that the AC is located above the front door and doesn’t completely cool the room down at the other end. It does help though..

We had an excellent stay. The beach was quiet and beautiful, our room was very comfortable, and the staff was kind and helpful. Great breakfast, too. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved the room, the location and staff were very helpful, also food was really good. Rooms are big and clean. We read that the beach was small and during high season there is not enough place for everyone, but we were lucky since hotel was not fully booked and so we always got the place in the restaurant as on the beach.

The beachfront view was unmatched. The hotel is located close to everything. The staff works around the clock nonstop making sure the hotel is clean and presentable. Catching a sunset in the water was amazing. Huge thank you to the staff.

Pousada sensacional, com espreguiçadeiras na praia, perto de tudo! Quarto bem espaçoso com cama grande e confortável! O café da manhã é delicioso, no restaurante com uma vista linda para mar. Os funcionários são muito atenciosos e prestativos. Na recepção tem filtro com água gelada e gratuita.

Ar condicionado fraco, provável que seja pelo espaço do quarto. Faltou uma piscina.

Solo comentar que cuando me contacte por WhatsApp para hacer reserva directa con el hotel nunca me respondieron luego de haberme atendido. En dos ocasiones me dejaron esperando la respuesta.

Very bad hotel. The bathroom had a horrible smell, the room was not clean, and the beach water was dirty compared to other hotels in the area. Honestly, I do not recommend anyone to stay there. I paid for three nights and left on the second night to another hotel. The only good thing was the view.

‏סגרנו אני ועוד כמה חברים סופ״ש במלון הזה, סגרנו ארבעה חדרים , הגענו וכבר מהלילה הראשון היה ממש ריח חזק של ביוב בחדר, המזגן נמצא רק בכניסה לחדר מתחת לדלת הראשית אז לא מרגישים אותו, יתושים ומלא חול ברצפה , ממש נורא , ניסינו לדבר עם המנהלת ולבקש החזר לשתי הלילות הנוספים והיא לא הסכימה בשום צורה לעזור לנו אז בלית ברירה הלכנו למלון אחר ובעצם שילמנו כפול על הלילות שהיינו בהולבוש

Als ik hoger kon geven dan een 10, had ik het gedaan. Dit hotel is FANTASTISCH. Het personeel is super vriendelijk, de locatie is geweldig (midden in het centrum van Holbox) maar wij hebben het allermeest genoten van het privéstrand recht voor de deur. Je zet 1 stap buiten je kamer en je bent al op het strand. Alles wordt super goed bijgehouden, de hele dag door zijn er mensen het zand aan het harken of wier aan het weghalen. We hebben vanaf ons strandbedje zelfs dolfijnen en overvliegende flamingo’s gezien. De drankjes en de lunch die ze serveren zijn heerlijk. Het gratis ontbijt (ook aan het strand) is eveneens fantastisch. Het bed lag super fijn en de kamer werd iedere dag heel netjes schoongemaakt. We waren hier 5 nachten maar hadden echt nog heel veel langer kunnen blijven. Ik zou direct teruggaan!

La ubicación es muy céntrica con vistas al mar despejadas y muy tranquila. Vimos un mapache muy bonito. El personal muy amable.

Un véritable petit paradis, avec une vue magnifique sur la mer et les cocotiers. La chambre sont spacieuses et confortables, et le bar-restaurant est très agréable, avec de délicieux cocktails. Le petit-déjeuner, servi en bord de mer, est exceptionnel. L’hôtel est proche du centre animé tout en restant très calme, et le personnel est aux petits soins.

Do not waste your money at this place. It was not clean, the room was falsely advertised. The noise level at night made it impossible to sleep. The smell of sewage at the beach made me feel dirty after swimming in front of the hotel and there were no outdoor shower that I could find. The lack of customer service or even an understanding of what I was unhappy with was very frustrating. I didn’t feel safe at night due to locals partying in the ally next to our room and telling my husband that “ you’re in Mexico *****”. I tried to contact the hotel with no response so we had to call the police however they never came and the music lasted well past 2 am. From the time of arrival to the next morning we were done with this place. Didn’t want to be there at all anymore so we booked another hotel and left with 3 days left of our honeymoon. Please if your coming with the expectation that this is a nice resort/ hotel, you are mistaken because it’s not.

Extremely friendly and attentive staff. The breakfast by the beach, private beach and amazing service really take the stay to the next level. The facilities are well kept, the rooms and bed are comfortable and the location is perfect.

The room was nice and clean. However, it was on the second floor, and the stairs were very narrow. The staff helped with our suitcases on arrival, but carrying them down ourselves when leaving wasn’t easy.

In the pictures, the place looked bigger, with more sunbeds. However, there was far too much smelly seaweed, and the area was full of mosquitoes. They ‘clean’ the seaweed by covering it with sand, which didn’t seem very effective. I wouldn’t go there again—the hotels farther away had cleaner beaches and nicer spots for an even better price. The breakfast was fine.

The most wonderful trip ever! We stayed at Hotel La Palapa for 4 nights and we wish it was much longer! From the service, to the staff, the beach bar, and every detail in between. Tho hotel is beautiful and everything was perfect. We can’t wait to come back

La Palapa did not disappoint! The hotel is comfortable and well maintained. Isis, Bryan, and Ruby always made sure we had everything we needed. We adored this hotel and will definitely be back.

Via booking boek je het hotel in USD. Je kan alleen boeken zonder terugbetalingsmogelijkheid. Bij aankomst bij het hotel moet je per sé in mexicaanse pesos betalen. Ze hanteren daarbij een absurde wisselkoers die ruim 10% hoger ligt dan werkelijkheid. Hierdoor betaal je op locatie nog even flink meer. Als je dit aankaart halen ze hun schouders op en reageren ze amper. Je moet gewoon betalen.

Great location, lovely beach club, great view from the room.

At night there was some noise in the room, but it was really only noticeable in the bathroom (which is at the back of the room). One day the beach club ran out of loungers.

l'hotel pieds dans l'eau et dans le sable, vue incroyable et hotel à échelle "humaine" avec peu de monde... plage privée, les pieds dans l'eau... la proximité avec la ville, l'accès à la mer et l'emplacement au centre de l'ile... et contrairement à certains avis que j'ai lus il n'y a pas de bruit ou de musique... ou vraiment lointain, donc c'est l'emplacement parfait !

le petit déjeuner... pas mauvais du tout mais pas assez copieux et on aurait aimé avoir en plus du salé des fruits ou des tartines avec de la confiture... oui je sais ;) on est français ! et les chambres manquent vraiment de rangement et d'un miroir sur pied ;)

Another magnificent trip to my home away from home. Always a pleasure to return and visit my favorite location and favorite extended family. I love the island and I love the people, especially those at Beachfront Hotel La Palapa. Still savoring the delicious meals from their cantina and basking in those breezes and soft sunny days. Looking forward to our return...can't come soon enough. A wonderful place to stay and unwind, and a place that's tough to leave. Love ya Brother Bryan

Fantastic experience. The location is great -- walking distance to everywhere you might want to go. The rooms are simple and clean. If you are taller (I'm 6'3"), be aware that everything is a little smaller in Mexico, but no show-stoppers. The view was great from our second-floor balcony. At night, you could hear the hustle and bustle of downtown, but the distant music was not enough to keep us up. The included breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options. What truly put it over the top was the staff. Front desk staff (Isis, Max, et al) were always friendly and helpful. The food/beverage service staff made you feel like you were flying first class. David and his crew went above and beyond. We will be back.

REAL REVIEW VS HYPE We stayed at La Palapa in Feb. We have stayed here 3 times before. Here are the honest Pros and Cons, Pros - Great location for getting around the town - Clean - Very cute Caribbean vibe Cons - We booked our room more than 6 months in advance and requested a specific room. Needless to say they completely ignored our request. - We tried calling the hotel, messaging them on WhatsApp, and email on their website several times the weeks before we arrived to request a specific room. NO RESPONSE AT ALL. Trying to reach them is a joke. Your messages are completely ignored. BECAUSE THEY DON'T CARE. - When we got there they gave us a random room that had no view. We asked for a different room and the receptionist, "Ruby" told us she might be able to move us to the room we wanted the next day. Ruby never contacted us and we saw her again once when we were leaving. SUPER BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. - The food in their restaurant was very mediocre. Walk to town instead for great food. Next door to the hotel is a fabulous Mexican fresh seafood restaurant. - The entire time we were there the sargassum was really bad and you couldn't even get in the water. It was chocolate brown. There was zero clean up attempt. Understand this is nature, but the beach was awful. - NOISE!! Late at night there's a place down the beach from La Palapa that blares loud music where the base vibrates in the rooms. The hotel gives you ear plugs even, but it is incredibly annoying. They have some serious issues! This is NOT worth the price. There are better places to stay on Holbox with REAL customer service, bigger rooms, actual closets, and quiet at night. We believe their service has really declined.

La vue de la chambre et la proximité au centre. L’hôtel est agréable et on y est bien.

On est revenu à cet hôtel 8 ans après une première expérience. L’hôtel a un peu vieilli et les sargasses étaient présentes. Si ce n’est pas du fait de l’hôtel, on a vu d’autres hôtels avoir une démarche de nettoyage plus proactive.

Infelizmente a experiencia não correu bem. Não ficamos alojados neste hotel, e por isso, não podemos apontar nada de positivo. Mudamos de hotel durante o processo de check in, por terem tido uma atitude desleal.

Na reserva o valor sempre foi apresentado em dolares e era nessa moeda que queriamos pagar. Mas o alojamento disse que so aceitava pagamentos em cartão, na moeda local. Se fosse em dolares teria que ser em dinheiro vivo. Achamos a pratica desleal. Disseram que se quisessemos reclamar para fazer diretamente com booking. Não sentimos muito apoio da parte do staff. Nestas situações é que se v|ê a qualidade serviço a cliente. Depois de uma viagem longa, faria todo o sentido que tivesse existido outro tipo de procedimento. Mas não se importaram e convidarem a cancelar a estadia... Optamos por não ficar alojados alí. Mudamos para outro hotel.

The property is clean and well maintained. The beach front is quite small but there are palapas for shade and chaises. The coast line is covered in seaweed/sargassum and the effort is made everyday to rake up the area for guests. The complimentary breakfast is quite good and a special shout-out to Geraldo, who was always pleasant and friendly.

The arrangements made through the hotel for our transfer from the Cancun airport to the hotel were a “NO show” and our many calls to the hotel were never answered leaving us with no option but to hire a cab for the 2.5 hours to the ferry where we also had to purchase our own tickets, then walk to the hotel. Dissatisfied with that but our return from the hotel arranged transfer went smoothly.

Expérience unique et vue magnifique depuis notre chambre vue mer avec un hamac dans la chambre. Très reposant avec le bruit des vagues. Emplacement idéal au calme proche du centre, des plages, commerces..etc Excellent Petit déjeuner avec du jus frais; mention spéciale pour le jus fruits de passion.

On n'a pas eu de chance et il y avait une tempête la nuit avec un vent fort; isolation fenêtre à améliorer car ça souffle très fort la nuit.

Pas de bouteille d’eau fournis, très bruyant, d’ailleurs des bouchons d’oreilles sont fournis dans votre chambre… La plus mauvaise surprise a été de payer à l’arrivée plus de 100€ de plus que le prix indiqué en nous disant que entre le jour de la réservation et le jour d’arrivée le taux n’était plus le même, sans que ça nous est été signalé à aucun moment, nous comprenons mieux pourquoi c’est le seul hôtel qu’on ne peut pas payer à l’avance !!

L’emplacement et la propreté de l’établissement. La gentillesse et le professionnalisme de jerardo le serveur du matin au petit déjeuner qui était la seule personne agréable et sympathique dans l’établissement.

L’accueil a l’arrivée était médiocre , MR Brian le réceptionniste a été très désagréable et voulait absolument que je règle en liquide en pesos mexicain , je lui ai dit que sur leur mail il était bien indiqué que l’établissement acceptait la carte de crédit, ce qui ne lui as pas plus . De plus j’ai été surfacturee de 200€ versus ma réservation initiale booking donc seconde déconvenue et pour finir notre transfert vers l’aéroport avait été planifié pour 14h et ce cher monsieur Brian sans m’en avoir informé l’as modifié pour 15h alors qu’il était bien inscrit dans leur affichage du lobby pour 14h , nous avons donc dû voir avec la réceptionniste Ruby présente ce jour là pour qu’elle appelle un taxi en catastrophe et réorganise notre transfert à l’heure où nous aurions dû être pris en charge bref …. Une expérience client déplorable sans parler de la qualité de service et du manque de considération envers les clients.

Quello che mi è piaciuto è la posizione centrale dell’hotel e la vista della camera.

La camera era un po’ sporca e in bagno c’erano tantissime fessure dalle quali entravano infiniti moscerini. Gli asciugamani del viso erano invasi. Il personale non proprio gentilissimo. Mi stavano facendo pagare tutto il soggiorno un’altra volta quando metà me l’avevano già scalato quando ho fatto la prenotazione. Ci siamo affidati alla struttura di fianco perché lì era impossibile fare il bagno e tantomeno sedersi sulle sdraio.

Room was a bit noisy due to super simple windows and doors (ground floor), which makes the price / value a bit off. Furthermore you couldn’t really use the hotel beach when the tide was high (maybe a seasonal thing)

Fint hotell vid havet. Bra läge. Notera dock att solen kommer bakifrån hotellet vilket gör att det ofta är skugga från träden vid solstolarna på hotellet. Om man vill ha sol hela dagen får man gå lite längre bort på stranden. Bra frukost.

Belysningen i rummet kunde varit bättre, det fanns ingen mysig belysning eller sänglampa, endast starka taklampor.

A lovely beachside hotel in the heart of the town. Clean and comfortable room with a beautiful view. The breakfast was great with tasty choices from a menu.

The beach is very small and doesn’t get much sun on it (in January anyway but maybe it’s different in summer) As it was a very windy week we spent more time on the other side the island where it was sheltered and sunny. Not the hotels fault but something to bear in mind.
