Very friendly and welcoming hosts. The property is spacious, well maintained, and surrounded by beautiful gardens and trees. The accommodation was comfortable for two people, with a comfortable bed and good-quality towels. Breakfast was simple but good and served in the room. The night walk on the property to see kiwis and glowworms was a fun experience, especially with children. We also enjoyed the company of Bertie, the friendly dog. The hosts made it clear that she would stay with them if guests preferred. The location was convenient for us because we had a car. Without one, it may be a little difficult to get into town.

When I made the booking, I didn't notice that the room I chose had a shared bathroom with another room. It wasn't a major issue for us, as we were the only guests staying there during our visit.

Pete was very friendly and a great host and his two dogs were gorgeous. The location is so tranquil and beautiful. Some great tracks to explore during the day and go looking for Kiwi at night (weather allowing!). Such a cosy room and very comfortable bed. Our room and the bathroom were spotless. It was really close to Kerikeri which made it such a handy place to stay.

You really need to stay here! Incredibly welcoming hosts and a comfortable room. A surprise was glowworms and Kiwi on the property, although sadly I couldn’t find a kiwi. Was invited to join for a beer but had to politely decline due to tiredness. I hope to stay here again one day. Thanks for the hospitality!

I had a truly wonderful stay at House in Kerikeri. The property is located just a short 3-minute drive from the town centre, yet it feels incredibly peaceful and private. The house sits on a large, beautifully maintained green property with plenty of space, nature, and tranquility. It’s the perfect place to relax after a long day. The home itself is absolutely stunning, very well cared for, and full of charm. My room was exceptionally well set up — honestly, it felt like everything had been thoughtfully designed by people with real hospitality experience. At one point I even thought the hosts must have previously owned or managed large hotels, because of how well everything is arranged. There’s a huge, comfortable bed with excellent quality linen, bedside tables, and even direct access to a terrace, which was a great bonus. Everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay is there. The cleanliness is on another level — I would say it’s even cleaner than some medical facilities. Truly impressive. Even though the listing mentions shared bathroom and toilet, it doesn’t feel like sharing at all. The layout is very well thought out, with multiple facilities available (shower and separate toilets), so you never feel like you’re waiting or inconvenienced. In fact, I never once experienced any delay or discomfort — it felt just like being at home. The hosts are incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming people who make you feel comfortable right away. There is also a pool outside, which adds to the overall experience. I travel to Kerikeri quite often for work and have stayed in many places — and I can confidently say this is my number one choice. It’s a place I genuinely look forward to returning to. Highly recommended — I didn’t even expect to find something this special in Kerikeri.

Das Haus liegt auf einem außergewöhnlichen Grundstück mit liebevoll angelegtem Garten, zwei Wanderpfaden mit Glühwürmchen und Kiwis zu bestaunen. Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt, ruhig gelegen, mit Pool und Blick in den Garten von allen Zimmern. Ich wurde sehr freundlich empfangen, einfach toll zum Entspannen, würde immer wiederkommen. Vielen Dank

Tha garden and the forest behind the house were incredible! The room itself was so cute and comfortable and the terrace in front was really nice. We loved the dogs who were kind and adorable! The owners were super friendly and helpful.

Sehr schoenes und toll eingerichtetes Zimmer mit tiptop Shared Bathroom in eine fantastisch gelegen Haus mit wunderschoenem grossen Garten und eigenem Bush mit Glühwürmchen und (angeblich) Kiwis. Sehr nette Vermieter die sich liebevoll um uns gekümmert haben.

Die Einfahrt könnte etwas besser gekennzeichnet werden, sonst war alles perfekt

This property truely exceeded my expectations. The owners are very welcoming and friendly, and happy to help with anything you might need or questions about the area. The room was very clean and spacious, with a lovely comfy bed, a well stocked kitchenette, and a good sized ensuite. I loved how sunny the room is with big windows on one side and french doors to the deck on the other. You can sit on the deck to enjoy the view of the beautiful grounds and the serenity, both day and night. Plus they have a wonderful bush area behind where you can take a wander through native trees. At night you can see many glow worms. and try to spot a kiwi.

Lage der Unterkunft sehr gut und ruhig. Anwesen sehr groß mit der Möglichkeit einen Buschwalk auf dem Gelände zu machen. Gastgeber äußerst freundlich. Zimmer sehr sauber. Vielen Dank!

The pool was great, the accommodations were great and Pete and Rose provide their guest with a haven that has to be experienced.

Een pareltje van een B&B, met een grote , mooie tuin , een eigen terras met openslaande deuren om evt bij regen in de deuropening te ontbijten. Bed goed, douche prima. De eigenaar was erg aardig en behulpzaam!

We hadden een ventilator tegen de warmte, geen airco. Het gootsteentje voor water is voor zowel de keuken als voor de wc.

Vi havde den smukkeste værelse og terrasse ud til Keriwin House’s store park. Der er muligt at gå en tur i mörkret og se ”glow-worms”. Vores værter gav og lygter med rødt lys så vi kunne finde vej. Poolen var nem og behagelig att svømme rundt i efter en lang varm dag på opdagelse. Rose og Pete de venligste værter man kunne ønske gjorde alt for vi skulle nyde vores ophold. Meget gæst venlige og behagelige. Hunden Bertie gav en guidet tur i skoven der tilhørte huset. Tak for et par fantastiske dage i Keriwin House. ❤️

Die Lage der Unterkunft war sehr schön. Ich habe Tagsüber die kleine Wanderung im Garten/ in der Natur gemacht und fand sie sehr idyllisch.

Meine Zimmernachbarn, waren nervig.

Keriwin House is a stunning location where you feel like you’re in a secluded place away from the huddle and bustle but in reality you are minutes away from Kerikeri. Views of lush native trees and surrounds right outside your room. Free range hens wandering around have property are a hour and the owners are lovely and really want you to have a great stay.

Location was quiet in beautiful grounds. Immaculately kept and accessible to guests. Plenty of birds and wildlife. Well situated for Restaurants, Theatre, Cinema in Kerikeri, also close to local market.

The room, facilities were comfortable, and the surrounding park like garden and forest were beautiful. We hadn’t expected to hear Kiwi calling and to see glow worms when we went for a lamp lit night walk. It was a lovely surprise! Rose and Pete were great hosts and informative. We enjoyed chatting with them both and meeting their dogs, Nugget and Bertie.

GREAT generous Continental breakfast ready for us to serve ourselves in our unit. Lovely shower, comfy bed, plenty of room to park and in the rooms. We have recommended to friends as a very comfortable place to stay , spotlessly clean with friendly and helpful hosts who give good value plus beautiful grounds handy to town and a lovely peaceful and harmonious outlook to enjoy/

We would have preferred not to have been welcomed by a biggish dog we didn't know, but he was soon called back and obedient. Although there is plenty of parking it could have been better organised to make manouvering easier, especially after dark< ( e.g trailer parked elsewhere)

The little kitchenette was enough for 2 people. Breakfast was nicely presented in our room. We did notice ants in the evening on our bench, however, we did leave some open food for them to get at.

Toilet facilities were not in our room. It is a shared communal ablution and I thought we had an ensuite. Nice though just not in my room.

Our hosts went out of their way to accommodate us and our bikes, making the logistics of getting ourselves to Cape Reinga so much easier.

What a wonderful place! It’s spotless, the bed is very comfortable and the hosts are such lovely people. The property is immaculate and you have the added bonus of going for a walk to see beautiful glow worms and if you’re lucky… kiwi birds. Thank you Pete and Rose, we will definitely be back!

Really welcoming and comfortable

Keriwin (Along with Rose, Pete & the gorgeous dogs) is simply perfect. Tucked away this property was more than we could have hoped for. It is stunning. After a long day driving and exploring to find ourselves in this totally peaceful b&b was heaven on earth.

It was difficult to see the tiny sign from the road so we drove past 3 times before we found it. But this just added to the charm.

The reasonable sized room and wonderful view. Freedom to explore the full extent of the property. We even heard the resident kiwis but didn't go search incase we disturbed them. Wonderful amount of bird life and of course the not so guard dogs

Everything in the property was so lovely. The space, the flowers and the whole property was just amazing to explore around! Pete and Rose was amazing at introducing and bringing us around the property and the guest room! Love it and definitely will be back if I ever had the chance!

The room was very comfortable, with everything we needed supplied. The property overall has a stunning location, and the hosts were very welcoming.

My daughter left a white t shirt behind, when we returned early evening of the same day to collect it, following a days sailing to the Bay of Islands, it had been put in the bin with used tea bags, and despite several attempts to remove the stains its ruined. Very disappointing after an otherwise great stay. Why it couldn’t have been put aside for at least 24 hrs for collection I don’t understand!

Fabulous location and great value for money. Pete and Rose are the loveliest people and I had a wonderful stay. I didn’t want to leave the property each day as the surroundings are beautiful (and the bed was so comfy). It’s always a risk when you turn up to a place you have booked, especially if it isn’t a hotel, but this was beyond what I thought it would be. I had a pizza from Black and Olive, which I am still thinking about and wish I lived closer to try another one. Rather than eating at the restaurant, I took it back and sat in the gardens with a gorgeous view. Thank you for having me!

My only fault was not seeing a kiwi, but I don’t think they could do much about that! Plus, I didn’t leave it late enough to go and walk as the bed was calling me!

I loved the location, facilities, hosts etc. Awesome for rest and relaxation.

Poor internet (which isn't the host's problem) Unable to go out for a meal as the location is quite a distance from bars, restaurants town etc. and taxis are minimal. Would be nice for the host's to (with a fee) offer a drop off collect service. This is the only let down.
