The all night light up stairs was very bright in my room for sleeping

It was great to have a very clean room/bathroom, our heater was turned on for us when we arrived back late, and the curtains pulled. The entire complex was very clean and tidy (outside), our room was upstairs on the main road and there was no issue with noise.

The heater fan was a little loud during the night

Friendly service, was made to feel comfortable and had all the necessities you need. Very close proximity as in walking distances to facilities and the main town. Very clean and tidy.

There was nothing that I could fault or didn’t like about the property.

Good location

A little noisy when trucks went past.

For a motel it was clean, comfy and spacious. Looked freshly done up and reasonably priced. Convenient day night shop across the road with the best thick shakes.

Inside of kettle not great could do with some fresh appliances.

Temuka and the Phoenix Motel were the perfect overnight on our drive to Dunedin. The property was clean, bright and comfortable, just what we needed! The proprietor was friendly and personally showed us to our accomodation.

Rooms was in great condition and very clean.

Wi-Fi signal could be better in the rooms. But when the signal was strong the speed was excellent.

Road works that made accessing the motel difficult at times. Road works went until 11.00pm so not ideal when you want to get a good nights rest. Being located on the main road did make it difficult to sleep due to the large trucks going past.

Accessible room. Super large with large bathroom. Good shower. All amenities & equipment provided for a short or long stay.

Liked the accommodating owner who informed us of night roadworks outside the facility and gave us the opportunity to leave and have money refunded.

Besides the nightly roadworks which the facility owner had no control over, all good.

Staff were great , friendly on arrival and showed us to the room Bed was suuuper comfy and even tho by main road when the windows are closed you dont hear a peep

Good location for our catch-up with relationships in Temuka. The manager was great and welcoming. The unit was large with good heating (only used after waking up). Good-sized car spaces. Highly recommended.

The heater was very noisey but the room was warm enough not to need the heater overnight so it didn't really matter that it was noisey.

Location for us was good. A good restaraunt in town and a very good bakery.

The little town very depressed and unkept. I asked for a downstairs unit in my booking and the propieter was very grumpy about this. My Husband uses are walking stick and managing the stairs is an accident waiting to happen.

Host helpful. Small kitchen convenient and room spotless. The room, however, very noisy. It faces the main highway through town, and so loud during business hours. I closed the street facing curtains as no privacy and used earplugs.

We have stayed at the Phoenix numerous times and it never disappoints. Friendly accommodating staff, clean facilities with all essential needs.

Beautifully appointed apartment, spacious, well equipped and comfortable. We were close to the main road, which gave a bit of traffic noise, but it was in no way annoying or disturbing. Short walk to the New World supermarket and good pubs and restaurants.

Great accommodation, extremely spacious, clean with kitchenette containing everything you need for a small home cooked meal. The owners/managers were very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend.
